GREEN BAY, Wisc. — Christmas decorations are going up in House Clark and just know that the Green Bay Packers' hulking defensive tackle goes hard for the holidays. This family is getting into the spirit… and then some. Head downstairs, into the man cave, and you'll see massive action shots of Kenny Clark in the trenches. One features Clark nose up on the ball, staring through the soul of a Carolina Panthers center. There are two game balls atop a fireplace mantle — one from a 10-3 win over the Bears in 2019, another from a 38-20 win over the Bears in 2023. That second ball holds a special place in his heart. In a back corner are Normatec compression leg sleeves. He's always seeking an edge. After all, those collisions at the line of scrimmage take a physical toll on a 6-foot-3, 314-pound man. And in comfy sweatpants, the Packers' grizzled nine-year stalwart in the middle takes a seat on a plush sectional sofa to chat again with Go Long. Readers may remember our profile from the 2021 season. That's when Clark opened up about his incarcerated father. Kenny Jr. was only 9 years old when Kenny Sr. was locked up for a murder he insisted he did not commit. (“My Dad did nothing wrong,” son said then.) Clark truly had no idea if his Dad would ever get to see him play — he was sentenced to a minimum of 55 years. To his shock, that moment finally arrived in Week 1 of the ‘23 season at Chicago. It was an emotional afternoon for Kenny Jr., for his mother, for everyone. After more appeals, court proceedings and heartache than he could ever recall, Kenny Clark finally has his father back. Life is good. His daughter, Kenaii, is growing fast and he's got another baby girl on the way. He inked a three-year, $64 million extension last July. As for this year's team? Clark hasn't felt this hopeful in a long time. The three-time Pro Bowler who's been on this team since 2016 has suffered plenty of crushing postseason over the years. Now, he's the elder statesman on the youngest team in the league. It only made sense to catch up with Clark on our recent reporting trip to Wisconsin. Audio of our conversation is above for our latest edition of “How the NFL Works,” and the written transcript is here:Right here is how one of the best of the best on the defensive line balances life and football in the heat of a playoff run. Send us a textIn this live episode of "2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates," Drew and Rob cover the latest news, rumors, and updates surrounding the Giants as they gear up for a challenging matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With major roster news, including a potential addition to the offensive line and a key defensive release, there's a lot for Giants fans to keep up with today.DJ Humphries VisitVeteran offensive lineman DJ Humphries, a former first-round pick and Pro Bowler in 2021, visited the Giants as they look to bolster their struggling offensive line. Humphries, who has started all 98 games he's played for the Cardinals, could be a major upgrade over the current left tackle options like Joshua Ezeudu and Evan Neal. Though not as dominant as Andrew Thomas, if healthy, Humphries could help protect Daniel Jones against the Steelers' formidable pass rush.Boogie Basham Released**The Giants made room on the roster by releasing defensive end Boogie Basham, who had been inactive for most of the season. He may return to the practice squad, but the move clears space for defensive tackle Armon Watts to join the active roster.Giants vs. Steelers: Offensive PreviewThe Giants face one of the NFL's top defenses, as the Steelers are allowing just 14.4 points per game. Their run defense is particularly stout, ranking second in both yards per carry and rushing yards per game. The Giants will need to keep the threat of the run alive to give their offensive line a chance to protect Jones, who could find favorable matchups against a Steelers secondary missing key players. Wide receivers Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, and Wan'Dale Robinson need to exploit Pittsburgh's vulnerable corners, but the Giants' offensive line must hold up for these opportunities to develop.Giants vs. Steelers: Defensive PreviewThe Steelers' offense, led by Russell Wilson, will focus heavily on the run, with Najee Harris posing a consistent threat. While Harris isn't a big-play runner, the Giants have struggled to stop the run, which could be a major issue. The key in the passing game will be limiting WR George Pickens, who accounts for over a third of the Steelers' passing yards. With the Giants leading the league in sacks, they have a chance to disrupt Pittsburgh's shaky offensive line and force Wilson into mistakes.Final ThoughtsAs the Giants prepare for their Week 9 clash with the Steelers, the offense faces a tough task against one of the league's best defenses. On defense, New York must contain the Steelers' running game and pressure Russell Wilson to keep the game competitive. Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the Steelers pursuit of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. The Steelers are one of a number of teams that is involved in trade talks for Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler who seems to be at the end of his road with the Raiders and vice versa. The asking price has been revealed to be a second-round pick plus, though it seems unlike the Raiders will get it. With his current contract situation, Adams would be considered a rental by most acquiring teams, unless they're able to work out a new deal with him beforehand. Would getting a rental Adams get the Steelers over the top and make them Super Bowl contenders? No. But they should do it anyway. Alan explains why. Learn more about your ad choices. SUBSCRIBE to the channel to ensure you never miss a thing.   Running backs Zack Moss and Chase Brown scored on one-yard plays to end the first half and open the second, and the Bengals used the "double-dip" to post their first win of the year in a 34-24 victory over the Panthers. Quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns, one a 63-yard-catch-and-run play by wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase. Brown and Moss combined to put the Bengals over 100 yards rushing. NOTES Burrow Hits 15K Joe Burrow surpassed 15,000 career passing yards on his first completion of the third quarter, a 10-yarder to tight end Erick All Jr. Playing in his 56th game, Burrow tied for the fourth-fastest player in NFL history to reach 15,000 passing yards. Burrow finished the day 22 of 31 for 232 yards and two touchdowns with one interception, good for a passer rating of 100.5. Joe to Ja'Marr For 63 Burrow found Ja'Marr Chase over the middle on a third down in the second quarter, and the Pro Bowler fought off would-be tacklers to take it for a 63-yard touchdown. It marked Chase's ninth career receiving touchdown of 60 or more yards, the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2021. It also ties former Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for the most such touchdowns in the Super Bowl era by a player under the age of 25. Ja'Marr Reaches 4K Chase finished with three catches for 85 yards and his third touchdown of the season. He reached 4,000 career receiving yards in the process, and playing in his 49th game he became the fastest Bengal ever to do so. Chase surpassed A.J. Green, who hit the 4K mark in his 50th game. Chase also became just the fifth player in the Super Bowl era to reach 4,000+ receiving and 30+ receiving touchdowns in his first 50 games, joining Green, Beckham Jr., and Pro Football Hall of Famers Randy Moss and Jerry Rice. Bengals Execute "Double-Dip" Cincinnati successfully pulled off the "double-dip," scoring a touchdown on the final true possession of the first half and the opening possession of the second half. The Bengals received the ball on their own 34-yard line with 1:08 remaining in the second quarter and marched on an eight-play, 66-yard drive capped off by a Burrow-to-Zack Moss TD pass with one second left on the clock. It marked the latest Bengals touchdown scored in a first half since A.J. Green caught a 48-yard pass from Andy Dalton with no time remaining in Week 7 of the 2016 season against Cleveland. Bell Sets Up Brown Vonn Bell intercepted a Dalton pass that was affected by Trey Hendrickson in the first quarter, and returned the pick 32 yards to the Carolina 16. It was Bell's eighth career interception and his first since Week 2 of last season, which also came at Bank of America Stadium when he played for the Panthers.

Joe DeLamielleure will tell you he has lived a charmed life. An All-American at Michigan State he was drafted in the first round by the Buffalo Bills in 1973. In his 13 years in the NFL, he never missed a game due to injury. In fact, he's never once had any kind of surgery in his life. And that rookie season was one to behold. He helped solidify the Bills line and opened up holes for OJ Simpson to run through en route to being the first player ever to eclipse 2,000 yards in a season. The O-line was known as the Electric Company because they would turn on the Juice, otherwise known as OJ. 6-times a Pro Bowler, Joe D. was a member of the NFL's All 70's All-Decade Team, the Bills Wall of Fame and the Browns Ring of Honor and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003. And since his retirement he has worked tirelessly to get older NFL players taken care of financially as well as their health care needs tended to. It's been a struggle but DeLamielleure doesn't back down to a challenge... like when he rode 2,000 miles to Mexico on a bike to raise money for an orphanage south of the US Border... this despite the fact that Joe had never ridden a bike before. That's the kind of man he is... one who values friends, family and faith over money, fame and recognition. And that's why when the topic of OJ comes up, he doesn't back down from portraying his friend from 50 years ago in a light many of us haven't seen in quite some time. Not that he excuses Simpson for what took place, but Joe knew another side to OJ and still struggles to this day to separate the man he played with and blocked for on a football field with the man who killed two people in Brentwood, CA thirty years ago. It's a powerful talk with a man who tells us about the last time he spoke with Simpson just days before the former Heisman Trophy winner died from cancer this past April. “I'm only looking forward to what's in front of me, and I feel like a lot of good ball is left." -Devin White The Pivot Training Camp tour is in full swing as we visit NFL cities sitting with players and coaches around the league bringing you exclusive interviews and sideline conversations to get you ready for the football season. In partnership with Fanatics, Ryan, Fred, and Channing stopped by Philadelphia, to sit with one of the newest Eagles in the flock, Super Bowl Champion and Pro Bowler, Linebacker Devin White. The 2019 fifth overall draft pick has spent the past five years of his career as a core member in Tampa's top ranked defense, making headlines this offseason by bidding farewell to his Bucs and heading North to Philly. Devin opens up in a transparent discussion addressing all the rumors, the labels and miscues of recent years that have affected his reputation and tarnished some of the success he had in Tampa which has contributed to his mindset as he starts fresh with The Eagles, even willing to take less money to be in a situation better suited for him. While Saquon Barkley was a marquee signing on the offensive side of the ball, White is his defensive counterpart looking to make an immediate impact and allow his teammates to see him, not just as one of the most talented at his position but as a strong leader too. White's locker room approach has already landed him a spot on Philly's Leadership Council, recognizing that the Eagles were known for drama last season and leaking locker room issues, White hopes to combat that issue and has turned to QB Jalen Hurts and WR AJ Brown to hold each other accountable each day. The Bucs got some great play out of Devin White during their Super Bowl run in 2020, but since then it's been an up-and-down relationship that came to an end this past offseason. Since demanding a trade, rumors have swirled about White's relationship with his former team, and the reasonings behind the change of scenery. We asked him how he confidently pivoted from the loud whispers and began to focus on the quiet wins and sharing advice with others: "Don't believe everything you hear." A lot of that confidence comes from constant communication with mentors at LSU and Buccaneers players, staff, still to this day. Learning from the best of the best has not only given White self-assurance, but also a handful of stories. He tells the guys all about the Bucs locker room with the GOAT Tom Brady, and what went down with former teammate Antonio Brown that day he stormed off the field. Tapping into "Mr. Brady" through example and sharing exclusive stories, Devin is grateful to the future Hall of Fame QB for pouring into the team the way he did, for never settling and always demanding the best out of everyone which helped the team win another Championship. Outside of football, Devin has generated curiosity for his 'cowboy' lifestyle. He owns acres of land and has about 50 horses, an outlet that reflects upon with the guys as a safe space for mental health and escape from everyday pressures of football. His father and brother might no longer be with him physically, but spiritually they guide him towards becoming the higher version of himself and the foundation of his success. The 2021 Pro Bowler may have a chip on his shoulder to get back to the big game, but at the moment he says he is simply having fun playing ball again. And with a stacked roster, the NFC East power house is not drifting in easy, but rather a new focus and energy spurred from the top down starting with QB Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown to Darius Slay to Saquon to Devin...all of these man have something in common, and that is to win and do whatever it takes to reach highest levels of success. Devin is looking to repeat his Super Bowl journey with his new teammates in Philly.
