It's a competitive world out there. A global rat race for the title of the tallest, biggest, fastest – you get it. How about we make the most unusual comparisons and see where you can find record-holders of all kinds? Do you know, for example, where the slowest roller-coaster in the world is? Or how big the biggest sports stadium in the world is? Or how much the most expensive commercially available pizza in the world costs? Black squid ink dough, sprinkled with one of the most expensive kinds of cheese in the world, caviar, and 24K gold leaves. Would you be willing to eat that much money?

How do you feel about public restrooms? Dread? But have you ever wondered why toilet stall doors rarely reach all the way to the floor? Well, it turns out that there's not one, but several fully valid reasons for not enclosing bathroom stalls! Some of them are obvious, while others turned out to be unexpected. For example, fully-enclosed stalls give visitors a cozy feeling of isolation. They cut out the noise of heavy bathroom traffic, and as a result, people lose the sense of others who're waiting for their turn. They get more relaxed and spend longer on taking care of their business. Also, leaving the gap makes bathrooms easier to clean! Mishlei 12:27 - Too Lazy to Roast Your Catchלֹא יַחֲרֹךְ רְמִיָּה צֵידוֹ, וְהוֹן אָדָם יָקָר חָרוּץ:Length: 1 hour 21 minutesSynopsis: Tonight (10/30/23), in our Monday Night Mishlei shiur, we tackled a pasuk which proved to be VERY difficult to read, given the variety of permutations. I was pleased and surprised that we were able to develop two distinct clusters of approaches, each of which had a couple of variations. Things got more difficult when we learned through the meforshim: the Rabbeinu Yonah (which I mistakenly labeled as Metzudas David), followed by the regular Metzudas David, followed by the Malbim. We ended up understanding our own approaches better than the meforshim. If anyone has any insights into what they meant, please let me know!-----מקורות:משלי יב:כד,כזמצודת ציון/דודמלבי"םרבינו יונה-----This week's Torah content has been sponsored anonymously in the hope that we will hear less sad news about things we can't control and learn more Torah to bring about change in ourselves, and in those aspects of the world which we can control.-----If you've gained from what you've learned here, please consider contributing to my Patreon at www.patreon.com/rabbischneeweiss. Jim Gaffigan (Linoleum, I'm Too Lazy) joins us this week to share his journey as a creative - evolving from a realization that he may never be successful, to becoming a household name as a stand up comic during the Comedy Central heyday, and eventually pursuing indie roles as an actor to satisfy his need for creative fulfillment. Jim talks about his experience growing up as an outsider in middle America and how he had to battle anxiety and stage fright early on in his career doing standup. We also talk about the idea of handling rejection, how he weighs new opportunities in light of his wife's health, and the empty success of living up to someone else's expectations. In this episode my friends Luane, Eva and I continue drinking wine while answering the questions guys sent me via instagram, like how to get the best sexual experiences, what makes you a good kisser, why girls fake orgasms and why we sometimes give mixed signals. We're also weighing in on the deal breakers girls wrote in to us like Strong Body Odor, Not Prioritizing A Woman's Pleasure, Too Lazy, No Ambition, Addiction, Cheating, Cheap, Doesn't Offer To Pay on First Date, No Sense Of Personal Style, etc.. The list was long and very specific. Trust me, women know what they want and we're here to divulge all the details. It's a little controversial. A little racy. A lot of fun. Stay Tuned for Part Three of What Women Want where we answer more personal questions about what we like, and give our tips on health and beauty. As we continue to push forward through all of the craziness 2020 has brought us, I wanted write this message and ask you to think deep about something. Take a bit of time to find a quiet place so you can really focus in on asking yourself this simple question. WHAT TYPE OF MAN AM I? Are you a COMMITTED man who backs his words up with RELENTLESS ACTION? Or... Are you a man that just talks and only sometimes takes action when he feels like it? Are you the type of man who's going to strive to be ELITE? Or... Are you the type of man who's OK with "good enough" and accepting average? Understand this isn't a game of who's the strongest, leanest, fastest, or fittest man alive… This isn't about "perfection" or never failing or making mistakes... This is a game that only concerns YOU and how you carry yourself in life AS A MAN. A FATHER = LEADER = ROLE MODEL It's about whether or not you keep pushing forward when you fail and fall off track. It's about the commitment you uphold to the process. So again, I ask, WHAT TYPE OF MAN ARE YOU? "Too afraid" to push forward into the unknown due to fear of failure or self-doubt? “Too proud” to admit you need help and guidance point you in the right direction? "Too busy" and unorganized to chase your true dreams and accomplish you big goals? "Too tired" and unmotivated to take time for yourself to build your body up to be strong and fit? "Too LAZY" you push the snooze and accept a LOSS to start off your day in the AM? “Too angry” at yourself that you choose to be snappy and resentful to your wife and kids? Lots of questions you can ask yourself here and the answers you give won't be wrong or right. In fact, there are no wrong or right answers here, only HONEST answers. Answers about WHO you truly are. If you want GREATNESS for yourself, you'll have to EARN IT and be a certain type of man. A man that walks the HARD PATH. The UNCOMMON MAN. If you're OK with average, you won't have to do much and you can certainly settle for less. You can continue to skim by and do the bare-minimum “just to pass”, but are you truly OK with that? How much longer with you tolerate it? A lot of dads choose to live their life this way and it's OK if it’s truly what they want. But I know most dads that choose to live that way end up with REGRETS. So, which would YOU rather have? EARNED RESULTS from walking the HARD PATH or painful REGRETS due taking the easy route out and tolerating less than your best? Either way is FINE just as long as that's what YOU truly want for yourself. As for me, I want GREATNESS. I choose the HARD PATH because I know the easy path won't lead me to anything I truly want. I hope that YOU choose to walk the HARD PATH as well because I know everything you could ever want awaits you on the other side of that road. But again, this is a choice that only YOU can make for yourself. NO ONE ELSE... So, what type of MAN are you? PS - If you're the type of man that wanting GREATNESS and you're done with accepting average and you're ready to put in the work to get back your EDGE in life, apply at the link below... ==> http://bit.ly/ffcoachingcallc2a Watch the video at the top of that page and then go ahead and schedule a time to chat.
