Sonny gets three whole carrots a week for his allowance and wants to buy everything! But he quickly discovers his money won't go that far, and he has to make some choices. That doesn't sound like much fun to Sonny, especially when he learns that the bouncy castle he's been eyeing goes for ONE HUNDRED carrots. Ridiculous! But eventually, after a little math and a little more thinking, he has a blast discovering what's really important to him and worth spending his carrots on. This is one of the four books in the internationally acclaimed Moneybunny Books series that also includes Earn It!, Give It!, and Save It!
As believers, we are given a firm foundation in Christ. We are forgiven, justified, sanctified, redeemed, accepted, and valued. Shame prevents us from living in the daily reality of these spiritual blessings in Christ. We don't feel worthy. We can believe the blessings are for others but not for us. Shame distorts our interpretation of reality. Without trusting what is true or standing on the firm foundation given to us, we cannot mature as believers. We remain stuck in the lies of shame and assume we are ineligible. Bruce McNicol, founder and former president of Trueface ministry joins me again this week on the podcast. He speaks to the importance of a healthy and grace-based faith community for our spiritual growth. Bruce says that the Holy Spirit is a great teacher and networker who will bring relational opportunities for us to be encouraged in our maturing process. Bruce's words are full of hope and practical wisdom for our everyday lives. To inquire about counseling, email Louise at Louise@louisesedgwick.com. This horoscope is for the new moon in Pisces, which happens on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 7:44 p.m. ET.Book a reading with me on my website at etherealastrology.com/readings.This new moon in Pisces, we are still not feeling where we want to be in life (especially in some new and better experience we have been trying to get to for quite some time). As a result, we begin to get a major new downloads about life and how we need to approach it at this time from a higher power — which is to approach life from a place of rest, ease, flow, surrender, and compassion. This is a very good thing. However, this insight feels so big and pure and not what we are used to that we are having difficulty accepting it. In addition, this insight doesn't seem to make sense logically. We don't logically understand how rest, ease, and surrender can do anything at all to turn our situation around when we have some very real concerns. But despite our hesitations, these new insights KEEP COMING IN BIG WAYS, and the divine keeps pushing (read: forcing) us into this place of surrender and compassion (even if we are not ready to accept it fully). These insights then begin to challenge our ego, identity, or sense of self. They also challenge our old habits and patterns where we feel as though we need to prove ourselves and overwork. They challenge our ego and habits so that we have no choice but to RELEASE THESE OLD THINGS that are not working and let them go.But it is very difficult to let go of things we once identified with. As a result, we feel very confused, sad, and disoriented.A part of us deep down emotionally and instinctually really wants to let this BIG INSIGHT overtake us and have its way with us (because we are so tired of doing things and want a break). However, a bigger part of ourselves is still clinging to old habits and ways — and feels unworthy of these new insights (feels unworthy of resting and being at ease without having to EARN IT).Relationships and money may also be challenging, further complicating the matter and making us feel pressured to do more to fix our situation. As a result, we end up feeling somewhere adrift in between. No longer able to really go back to the old self and ways — but also not ready yet to fully accept the new ways, making us stuck.Because of that, we need to choose to rest, surrender, and be compassionate anyways, even if it does not feel comfortable, BECAUSE REST & EASE IS NOT A REWARD YOU HAVE TO EARN WITH GOOD BEHAVIOR.In addition, we may need to do some inner work in order to allow rest, ease, and compassion into our lives without feeling like we have to be worthy of it.We may also need to adjust our relationships and money so we stop feeling so pressured to perform or do more — and specifically adjust those things to be simpler and more minimal where we have LESS for the time being, while we work some things out. This will then help us A MONTH FROM NOW at the new moon solar eclipse in Aries to feel more well-rested and clear headed. It will also help us a month from now to feel more ready to TAKE ACTION to finally step into a new and better experience of life we have been trying to get to for quite some time. And this action we take a month from now, won't be based on HARD WORK and PROVING OURSELVES. It will come straight from the HEART and be PURE PASSION.Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬(0:00) Introduction(1:50) General Themes(8:35) Past Context(28:50) Specifics(1:00:19) Summary(1:03:00) Other Notes(1:23:14) Inside Degrees(1:31:40) Tarot Hosted on Acast. We speak about the hydrology cycle, and how water, not carbon, lies at the heart of bio-diversity preservation as well as many of the risk factors facing companies whether from a shortage of water or an excess of it (flooding). We address the current zeitgeist, and the push back around net zero alliances and sustainable finance in general, and Rob and Eoin share some interesting perspectives. [SEGMENT 1-1] The Trump v Harris Debate 1 The big debate. Was it everything you thought it would be? Trump was supposed to be SCARED, right? I didn't get the feeling he was scared. Welcome… All the anticipation and with so much riding on the outcome. Who had the most to lose or gain? I know that Kamala Harris carried FAR more fear into this debate, and for multiple reasons. First, Trump crushed her predecessor Second, Kamala Harris is still auditioning. Oh they coronated her, but now she has to EARN IT. Third, Kamala Harris is a horrible debater. [SEGMENT 1-2] What did Democrats think would happen in the debate Abortion will be a key issue in the coming election, though it really is a low priority for most people. Asked what's important to the average person, and abortion won't make the top 5. The economy The border Crime/Safety Taxes Government intrusion Healthcare; and not as it pertains to abortion Education War in Ukraine Other foreign policy Terrorism Abortion But we constantly elevate this topic, or allow Democrats to get this topic much more than it should. Women still have opportunities for abortions. They've lost few rights. Democrats say it's a slippery slope and that we will reach for much more. Like Leftist with guns There are so many ways to fight abortion, and I get upset with those who don't know how to fight against it. [SEGMENT 1-3] Dissecting the debate 1 Johnny Maga Remember, Donald Trump took this debate knowing these moderators were going to act like this. Absolute lion of a man. Harris was nothing but talking points. Trump did best on the real issues. Harris did her standard appeal on abortion. And she told so many lies, I'm amazed they allowed it. And they fact-checked Trump at least twice. [X] SB – Trump says shut up Matt Walsh Moderator: "Kamala, why have all of your policies changed?" Kamala: "I grew up a middle class kid and my friend was sexually assaulted in high school" Oh okay well that explains it thanks Kamala Miranda Devine LOL Harris actually called Trump Weak on foreign policy. Trump countered by saying world leaders say Biden and Harris are “weak and grossly incompetent”. Jeannette Garcia Kamala is weak! Everyone knows it - the only thing she has are attacks that have been debunked already! Dr Kris Held Thank you President Trump for pointing out the weaponization on Kamala's watch. The moderator brushed over your mention of the assassination attempt. This is the most biased debate I've ever seen. These moderators are a disgrace. [SEGMENT 1-4] Dissecting the debate 2 [X] SB – Tim Murtaugh speaks on email Trump sent DOJ currently prosecuting Donald Trump Clandestine Holy shit… Kamala just said she's the “only one onstage who has prosecuted transnational criminal originations trafficking weapons, drugs, and humans”. Executive order 13773 was one of the first things Trump did when he came into office in 2017. Meanwhile, Kamala and the Dems Mollie Hemingway If she doesn't get fact-checked for her lies about Charlottesville and "fine people", ABC should be shut down. Under Gov Tim Walz, Babies born alive in botched abortions were left to die Funniest line: They threw him (Biden) out like a dog.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.

In this week's conversation between Dr. James Emery White and co-host Alexis Drye, they discuss the findings of a Gallup poll which revealed that Americans' confidence in clergy today has declined to an all-time low of 32%. Translation? Less than a third of all Americans consider clergy to be trustworthy. Ouch. The big question that follows is, “So how can we earn it back?” Episode Links In case you missed it, Dr. White recently blogged about this topic in an entry titled “It's a Matter of Trust.” Several other blogs related to this conversation will also be really helpful for you to to dig into. On the discussion of the shadow lives, read “Evaluating the Fruit Test.” The phrase “there but by the grace of God go I” is so common but so inadequate. Find out why in a blog titled “Why Leaders are Falling.” And finally, consider a blog that explores whether it's possible for someone to be restored to ministry after a moral failing titled “When a Pastor Falls, What Then?” Today, the moral failings of pastors and church leaders seem to populate news feeds and socials. And it's doing so much harm to the witness of the Church. There are two podcasts we'd suggest you go back and listen to related to today's conversation: CCP4: On Pastors and Moral Failings and CCP31: On Celebrity Pastors. To help with understanding how to gain back lost trust, Dr. White recommended a book written by Henry Cloud titled, Trust: Knowing When to Give It, When to Withhold It, How to Earn It, and How to Fix It When It Gets Broken. Finally, we also want to share some articles with you that dive into the lack of trust the American public has toward organized religion and its leaders: Lydia Saad, “Historically Low Faith in U.S. Institutions Continues,” Gallup, July 6, 2023. Megan Brenan and Jeffrey M. Jones, “Ethics Ratings of Nearly All Professions Down in U.S.,” Gallup, January 22, 2024. Kate Shellnutt, “Above Reproach? Fewer Americans See Pastors as Ethical,” Christianity Today, January 25, 2024. Trust is something all of us know we need to build in order to have influence with those we love and whom we're called to lead. But it's also incredibly difficult to build and even harder to repair once you've undermined it. And, unfortunately, as challenging as it is to build, it's incredibly easy to tear apart never to be seen again. My guest today is Dr. Henry Cloud, author of his latest book, Trust: Knowing When to Give It, When to Withhold It, How to Earn It, and How to Fix It When It Gets Broken. We talk about trust being a learned skill, the process for repairing trust, 5 factors that drive the trust system, trust as a long game vs. a short game, and how trust fuels every single aspect of life. Alan welcomes the CEO of RELEVE, Dawn Dahlby, author of Live Wellthy. As a certified financial planner, Dawn says money is but a tool. A tool that is defined and controlled by one's behavior. Many of us live in fear of not having enough money, and or not being enough as human beings. Dawn teaches how to master your mind and your money. In her book Live Wellthy, she focuses on three key factors: Own It, Earn It, and Grow It. Own it, is where you learn to own all that is, core values, weaknesses, and learning how to discover and utilize your strengths. Earn It, is nothing but everything to do with money. Earning the right income and outcome. And lastly, Grow It, are the how-tos in comprehensive financial planning. Maximizing your performance and mastering your mind and money. Up next is Dr. Alok Treveti, a.k.a. Dr. Rewire. Dr. Treveti started his journey at the age of 26 as a chiropractor. A very successful one at that. However, through his patients, he discovered how they shared similar ailments, which caused them to come in around the same time every month. That piqued his interest to dig deeper to see the root of the problem. Before treatment, he would sit down with his clients and talk with them, to get them to open up. Through questioning, he was able to rewire his client's brains to help alleviate the aches and pains at least by 70%, without an adjustment. He realized that there was a neurological connection between stress, depression, and anxiety and the aches and pains that brought his clients in for an adjustment. Mind over matter, in other words, master your mind, make your money, and have abundant health. Dr. Rewire says fear is the enemy that keeps you from moving forward. However, he has come up with a formula that will help you overcome that with four easy steps. One, figure out what the fear is. Two, if your fear becomes reality, what would be the positives or benefits to your life? Three, if it didn't happen, what would be the drawback? And four, can you be grateful if it happens or not? If you rebalance your brain and face your fear, it takes away its power. Fear is a future emotion, and if you can eliminate its power over you by using Dr. Rewires formula, your journey to success is but a stone throw away. Henry Cloud: Trust Henry Cloud is an acclaimed leadership expert, clinical psychologist and a New York Times bestselling author. His 45 books, including the iconic Boundaries, have sold nearly 20 million copies worldwide. He has an extensive executive coaching background and experience as a leadership consultant, devoting the majority of his time working with CEOs, leadership teams, and executives to improve performance, leadership skills, and culture. Henry's work has been featured and reviewed by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Publisher's Weekly, Los Angeles Times, and many other publications. Success Magazine named him in the top 25 most influential leaders in personal growth and development, alongside Oprah, Brené Brown, Seth Godin and others. He is a frequent contributor to CNN, Fox News Channel, and other national media outlets. Henry is the author of Trust: Knowing When to Give It, When to Withhold It, How to Earn It, and How to Fix It When It Gets Broken*. When someone betrays your trust, what do you do next? In this conversation, Henry and I explore the five factors of trust and the importance of each one of them in our relationships. Then, we look at the starting point for rebuilding trust after a betrayal, beginning with you and your own support network. Key Points Five factors are key for trust: understanding, motive, ability, character, and track record. Repairing trust is not clean or orderly. The first step is about you, not the person who betrayed you. Leaders who have a support network already in place are better able to take a pause and work through emotion and anger. An authentic apology from someone should articulate the event itself, demonstrate their empathy for how the event felt to you, and appreciate the consequences of their actions. Forgiving someone does not mean you trust them. We had the pleasure of interviewing Sheryl Sheinafia over Zoom video! Indonesian artist, Sheryl Sheinafia, recently dropped her new song "Earn It". “Earn It” is an ode to second chances. Insecurity and uncertainty become the main themes for "Earn It," as those qualities are the greatest travesty any love has to face. Sheryl says “The song is my attempt to build a pillar of trust, and understanding— a call for me and my partner to restore our frequencies that have gone adrift.” This is the video for "Earn It":https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icI9amMWSIY With millions of streams and followers; Sheryl is definitely a force of her own in Indonesia, having built a huge fan base throughout the years. She released her debut album in 2013, which charted in Indonesia and led to booking big hosting and acting roles. In 2017 she released another album, and after having a lot of her songs top the charts; Sheryl realized the momentum she had and decided that this was the right time to take a leap of faith. Releasing songs written in English is an uncommon phenomenon in the Indonesian music scene– yet her single 'Sweet Talk', a full song in English, became her most known project to date. Now she's been releasing English music ever since. "When I first started, I found that my music has always succumbed to the confines of what is expected in Indonesian pop. As of now, I feel that my music is disarming the norms and otherwise old school expectations. It's evolved in a way where I am capable of cultivating and fostering my own sound— one that listens to none and is a true reflection of how I want people to perceive my sound." -Sheryl We want to hear from you!
