By recognising these indicators, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and begin to make positive changes. Join me as I share real-life examples of how perfectionism affects our relationships, work, and personal well-being. By understanding the impact of people pleasing and overthinking, you'll gain valuable insights that can transform your perspective and ultimately change your life. What feelings come up for you if you believe you are resting vs lazy? Firstly, it's important to recognize how important the language you are using is - the word "lazy" has quite a negative association with it. In this episode, I discuss 3 things to focus on when it comes to resting vs being lazy. We can be so hard on ourselves and this is what perpetuates the cycle. We all need rest! Our brains need a break. I would love to hear from you if you struggle with the internal battle of feeling guilty when you take a break. Send me a DM on IG @insideouthealthwellness.

You will learn how to reframe each belief and investigate them with compassion. I will also give you some questions to help you explore these beliefs. How do you feel about creating acceptance within yourself and your body? When I first started my business 5 years ago I struggled to put into words how I helped my clients. The obvious thing I helped my clients with was weight loss, however we never spoke about diet or exercise, it was all about mindset. I started to say I helped women love their bodies from the inside out. But then I started to think well I actually don't love my body from the inside out, and I began to question whether that was something I even wanted to achieve. The concept of completely loving your body seemed so unattainable. What felt more important to me (and what I wanted to help my clients with) was creating a compassionate relationship with myself and my body. With that came acceptance. If you have been struggling to accept yourself and your body then send me a DM on IG @insideouthealthwellness or visit my website www.insideouthealthwellness.com.au to see how I can help you.

Do you feel like you sometimes react strongly to a situation? If you have ever reacted to a situation that you later regretted, then you have a trigger. Triggers are often events or things that happen that consistently take you in the wrong direction, basically when your emotion is bigger than the situation warrants. You are not a bad person if you have emotional triggers, in fact, it's a completely normal part of the human experience! The big focus is on knowing what your triggers are so you are not surprised by them or get caught off guard in the heat of the moment. If you do or say things in the heat of the moment that you later regret then make sure you tune in. It's not events themselves that cause you to react, it's your thoughts and feelings about it that cause the reaction. Learn how to become self-aware of your reactions and take back the power of your emotions.
In this two-part series, I dive deep into our unconscious thoughts, specifically how to identify and change them. If you haven't already listened to Part 1 (Ep 44) then listen to that one first, I talk about how to identify the unconscious beliefs that are holding you back. In this episode, I talk about changing your thought patterns and how the critical filter in your brain often rejects new thoughts. In my coaching sessions, I use hypnotherapy to assist with creating new thought patterns. Hypnotherapy actually bypasses the critical filter so we can go right into the unconscious mind and create new thought patterns. If you are trying to learn new thought patterns consciously, your critical factor will often reject them because it's not in line with your subconscious beliefs. I have created a free stress management hypnosis for you to download from my website, you can find it by clicking on the link below: https://insideouthealthwellness.com.au/freehypnosis If you want to learn more about my hypnotherapy package click here!
In this two-part series, I dive deep into talking about our unconscious thoughts and beliefs. Do you worry about disappointing people? Have you tried everything to lose weight and still struggle with your body? Do you struggle to save money? The root cause of all of these problems is your unconscious beliefs about yourself! For example, if you believe you are not good enough as a person then you will spend your life people-pleasing in an attempt to avoid disappointing anyone. We will always act in accordance with who we truly believe we are. In this episode, I talk about how you can identify the unconscious thoughts that are stopping you from getting what you want. The following episodes relate to this content, so if you haven't listened to them yet, make sure they are next on your list! Ep 13: Is your identity holding you back? Ep 24: empowering vs disempowering beliefs I hope you enjoy this episode :) I would love to hear your thoughts, send me a DM @insideouthealthwellness
BYOBF has started back for 2021 after a nice long break! For the first episode back I am talking about topics relating to understanding your body from a hormonal level. Exercise and diet are a hot topic this time of year! But I want to talk about it from a different perspective that you may not have thought about before. If you are following an exercise and/or nutrition plan and not taking into account your hormonal cycle this please listen to this episode! Males work off a 24 hr cycle of hormones, so their body will feel the same at 8 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc week in week out. Females, however, work off a 28-day cycle! Although this is common knowledge, it is rarely considered throughout your daily life. So if you are following a program where this is not considered then you are treating your body as if your hormones are the same on a daily basis. Have you ever felt super confident one week and the next week you just want to hide away? Empowering yourself with this knowledge means you can work WITH your body rather than AGAINST it. Body awareness creates healthy choices and healthy choices create body balance. For more information on this topic check out the Well Woman Podcast! I would love to hear what you think, you can send me a DM here!
Are you struggling with Perfectionism? In this episode, I talk through 8 signs to be aware of and examples of how they are affecting your life. If you struggle with people-pleasing and overthinking then this episode is a must! Understanding that perfectionism is simply a set of beliefs and doesn't define who you are completely changed my life! Also, listen to Episode 41: Are you in a Perfectionist Mindset? This will help you understand the Growth Vs Fixed Mindset. Let me know which of the 8 signs affects you the most and what area of your life is it most prominent. If you believe your talents and abilities are fixed then this episode is a must! There is so much more t changing a habit than waking on one day and deciding that you have had enough. It's certainly a great starting point though :) One of the biggest reasons why we struggle to make changes is we are doing it backward. We think that simply deciding to take action that it's going to work. Then we get disappointed in ourselves for not maintaining. I talk about the 3 requisites for change that you must do if you want to create or remove a habit permanently. The first one is the most important one! Tune in to hear why. Have you also been making this mistake? Welcome to another episode of the BYOBF podcast:) Today I am sharing a recent experience I had where I didn't listen to my body. Two concepts I talk about are: 1. Listen to the following episodes to help with this content: Episode 30: How to get out of a downward spiral of negative emotions. Episode 33: The mindset behind why you emotionally eat If you feel like your body is trying to tell you something but instead, you are beating yourself up then make sure you tune into this episode! Are you kind to other people and not returning the favour to yourself? This episode is all about helping you to create more self-compassion in your life. It's hard to do unless you are aware of what's going on. One thing to note is when we begin to practice loving-kindness and self-compassion, sometimes, it's really painful because we are so used to being critical of ourselves and hard with ourselves that we don't even want to allow that love in. It's about pausing and beginning to see ourselves exactly as we are and not get caught up in our strengths and weaknesses. I hope you find this episode helpful. I would love to know which of the 4 tips help you the most. Send me a DM on IG @insideouthealthwellness.
We all have the same fear, that deep down we aren't good enough. Now, this isn't true of course. It's a story we tell ourselves. We were born good enough, we didn't have to do anything when we were a baby. Somewhere along the line, something happened in our lives that created a story of not being good enough. As we get older this can manifest into something bigger and we end up self-sabotaging. Here are some questions to ask yourself: Are you confident in your body? Are you confident in yourself? Are you truly able to be who you desire without judgment or comparison? If you answered no to any of these questions, please give this episode a listen. The emotional state around how we feel in our body plays a huge role in what we eat and how we approach exercise. Things can be different, it all starts with awareness. Our brains have 2 million bits of information coming in every sec. What an overwhelming thought! Imagine if you took on board all of those thoughts, you would be exhausted! In order to filter through the information, your brain will Generalize, Delete, and Distort. This explains why you and someone else can have the exact same experience yet have totally different thoughts about it. And that is why you cannot always believe your thoughts. I help my clients challenge their negative thoughts through an NLP model called the Meta Model. In this episode, I explain real-life examples where your brain is distorting, deleting, and generalizing information. Once you understand how your thoughts are affecting your reality you can start to make a change. Awareness is the first step! When you take a step back you can regain a sense of control over your own life. I hope you enjoy this episode:) You can connect with me on IG @insideouthealthwellness
