She delights in sharing this news with Margaery - who is stricken, but remains hopeful. Cersei dreams of her childhood run-in with Maggy the Frog and the details of the woman's terrifying prophecy. He was grievously wounded multiple times and lies unconscious beyond the skill of any maester to heal. Cersei is delighted. She carefully hides this as she shares the news with Margaery. The young queen is devastated, but latches on to the fact that Loras still lives and seems determined to seek to revive him.More non-Tyrion dwarf's heads are placed before her. Grand Maester Pycelle reports that Lord Gyles Rosby seems to be dying. She dreams of her meeting with Maggy the Frog, the details of whose prophecy continue to come true (she did marry the king, she did become queen), which wouldn't be a problem but the prophecy turns a lot darker after that: she'll be replaced by a younger more beautiful queen, her three children will die, and the valonqar will choke the life from Cersei. Mackelly and Simon bow their heads in prayer that she knows what she's doing.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister rides to the Great Sept of Baelor with Taena Maryweather. Taena fills Cersei in on the men in Margaery's court. The list is filled with most of the young, handsome knights in King's Landing. Therefore, the addition of Grand Maester Pycelle stands out. Upon seeing a pile of bones of slain faithful, Cersei promises to seek revenge. However, the sparrows want only protection for the living.Inside the sept, Cersei is shocked to see septons on hands and knees scrubbing. Next, dwarves mock joust at Joff's behest and the king commands Tyrion to challenge the victor. When Tyrion refuses, things get ugly. The king dumps a chalice of wine on Tyrion and demands Tyrion be his cupbearer and serve him. Tyrion does as told and the king drinks deeply. He continues to mock Tyrion but a coughing fit worsens to choking. All around, people realize that the king is dying. When Cersei screams, Tyrion knows Joff is dead. What he wasn't expecting was for Cersei to then have him, and his suddenly missing wife, arrested for murder.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Tyrion Lannister - Youngest son of Tywin Lannister. Sansa chats with various Tyrells, who are making a positive impression in King's Landing. She's lured into being honest about King Joffrey, but the Tyrell women don't seem mad, indeed they offer her a way out of King's Landing. Simon and Mackelly consider the proposal.Chapter Review:Sansa Stark mulls whether to accept an invitation to dine with her future queen, Margaery Tyrell. She knows she must, but she's struggling to understand why she's invited. Her mood brightens when none other than Ser Loras Tyrell arrives to escort her to the Maidenvault, where the Tyrells have been housed. Sansa's smitten and cannot believe they are touching arms while they walk. The pleasant conversation sours somewhat when he doesn't remember giving her the red rose at the Hand's Tourney, and she mentions that he unsearted Robar Royce, who he has since killed in battle. She has better luck with the female Tyrells, notably Margaery and her grandmother Lady Olenna Tyrell. They charm her and pointedly ask for the truth about Joffrey. After some hesitation, Sansa admits that he is a monster. Both ladies take the news in their stride. . . Sansa watches as Tywin Lannister takes control in King's Landing. The Tyrells fully embrace the new alliance, the Lannisters dole out rewards to loyalists, punish their enemies, and pat themselves on the back. King Joffrey drops her for another, putting Sansa on cloud nine. But Dontos brings her crashing back to earth. Simon and Mackelly try to break her fall. Chapter Review:Sansa Stark stands in attendance as the Lannister family congratulate themselves and their allies. Lord Tywin Lannister takes over as Hand of the King. Mace, Garlan, and Loras Tyrell ask favors of the king, all are granted. The biggest ask being that Joffrey put Sansa aside and marry Margaery Tyrell. After that, it's time to split up the winning from the Battle of the Blackwater. New lords are made, including Lancel Lannister and Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish. More than six hundred men are knighted. Finally, the Stannis Baratheon supporters are dragged before the king. They're made to beg his forgiveness, to retain their titles and lands. Most do, but some choose death by vocally disparaging the boy king. When all the glad-handing, promotions, and begging for forgiveness are over, Sansa returns to her chamber. She can hardly remember a time she's been this happy. She won't have to marry Joffrey. She doesn't know what will happen to her, but it has to be better than marrying that monster. Ser Dontos Hollard disagrees. He thinks nothing has changed. But he's set a date for their escape: Joff's and Margaery's wedding day. He also has a present for her, in the form of a beautiful hair net. He claims it holds justice for her father.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Sansa Stark - Eldest daughter of Lord Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully. Formerly betrothed to Joffrey Baratheon. Cersei III of AFFC features a Cersei struggling to maintain her grip on power and on her sanity and on her sense of self, all culminating in setting a mighty blaze to the Tower of the Hand. A month or two removed from her eldest son's death at the Purple Wedding, Cersei is now confronted with marrying off her second son to the same woman, Margaery Tyrell. Still in mourning and seeing threats in every shadow, this truly turns into Cersei's no good, very bad day. But a resolved Cersei sets the Tower of the Hand on fire using the alchemist substance, wildfire, and burning away her fear and paranoia, filling her with a sense of resolve, and flushing out any rats that may still be hiding inside its many hidden pathways. The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
News of Renly's death has reached the small council in King's Landing. They dispatch Littlefinger to treat with Loras Tyrell - the leader of the faction that hasn't pledged fealty to Stannis. The offer? Renly's widow Margaery Tyrell to marry Joffrey and be queen. Simon and Mackelly consider the implications. Chapter Review: Varys shares the reliable news that Renly is dead and many unreliable accounts of who did it. Tyrion is disappointed, he'd hoped that the Baratheons' fight would drag on for months. The bad news is compounded by the rapid switching allegiance (to Stannis) of the majority of the noble houses. The slightly better news for team-Lannister is that Ser Loras Tyrell has ridden off taking maybe 20 percent of the lords with him. And Ser Courtney Penrose, castellan of Storm's End, fearing a trick, will not open the doors to Stannis until he sees Renly's body - which has gone missing. So how to turn this dissenting minority to the Lannister cause? Tyrion suggests marriage. Should Renly's young widow Margaery (Tyrell) marry Joffrey, then the two wealthiest houses in Westeros would be conjoined. The Lords of the Reach who have now pledged to Stannis would have to reconsider. And the balance of power might just be tipped. After some debate, Petyr Baelish is chosen to take the message to Loras and Margaery. He grifts for every bit of money and influence he can get out of the chore. But Tyrion grudgingly admits he's the right man for the job. After the meeting, Cersei thanks Tyrion for his efforts and kisses him on the forehead. He could not be more suspicious. Characters/Places/Names/Events: Queen Cersei Lannister - Widow of King Robert Baratheon and twin sister of Ser Jamie Lannister. Mother of King Joffrey Baratheon.King Joffrey Baratheon - Bastard son of Jaime Lannister and his twin sister Queen Cersei Lannister. Currently King Joffrey Baratheon First of His Name. On tonight's episode of Talkin' Thrones, we cover the Season 2 finale, entitled "Valar Morghulis," the ancient Valyrian phrase that translates to "All Men must Die." It's a jam packed finale for a jam packed season, and it pulls off the rare ability of having a ton of stuff happening, wrapping up all the current storylines in a satisfying way, and setting us up for what's to come in the following seasons. Season 1 may have introduced us to this world and these characters, but Season 2 sets the stakes for what's to come, because as Melisandre so eloquently puts it, this war is just beginning. First, we catch up with the aftermath of the battle of Blackwater. The Lannisters have won the day, with Tywin assuming his rightful place as hand of the king, and Joffrey solidifying his alliance by agreeing to marry Margaery Tyrell, but it's the beginning of the end for Tyrion, who finds himself scarred, alone and without allies. Varys is also making moves as Littlefinger is getting a little too much power for his liking, while Littlefinger makes a promise to Sansa. Then we briefly catch up with all the other ancillary storylines, as Brienne shows Jaime just who she is and what she's capable of, Arya receives a cryptic invitation to Braavos from Jaquen, Stannis begins to understand just what he's gotten himself involved in, while Robb solidifies his path to the Red Wedding by marrying Talisa. Theon finally suffers the consequences of his actions, while Bran & Rickon are forced to go on the run. Daenerys FINALLY leaves Quarth, even if it results in the dumbest Deus ex Machina imaginable, and Jon makes his move by infiltrating the Wildlings to sabotage them before they reach the Wall, finally comprehending just what the Night's Watch is up against. Speaking of which, back at their encampment, Sam is in for a surprise when a horde of White Walkers marches on the Fist of the First Men. It was a jam packed season, that's setting up for 6 more seasons worth of material. While not all of it works, it's always Thrones, which is why we're here for it. It's all happening here, only on the #talkintvpodcast --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Cat prays for a quick and bloodless end to the war between the Baratheon brothers. She needs to be careful what she prays for because she gets mostly that. Renly is mysteriously killed by what appears to be a shadow assassin. But poor, innocent Brienne takes the blame. Simon and Mackelly examine the details of the wild night.Chapter Review: Catelyn Stark prays in a tiny sept to any of The Seven who will heed her pleas. She prays for safety and strength for her family and herself. She also prays to the Mother to watch over the men who will fight in the up-coming battle between Stannis Baratheon's meager forces and his brother Renly Baratheon's much larger army. While ruminating in the sept, Cat realizes that if Stannis' claim of incest between Queen Cersei Lannister and her brother Jamie Lannister are true, it gives possible validation to her belief that a Lannister sent the man to kill Bran. The boy must have seen them at their incest. Later, in Renly's tent, she proposes to Renly that they bring Bran forward to tell the realm what he saw. After the Lannisters have been discredited, a great council can be held to determine who should sit the Iron Throne. She asks that the battle be put on hold until she can similarly propose the plan to Stannis. Renly rejects the idea. Moments later, Renly's shadow raises its sword and plunges its shadow sword through Renly's neck. As the blood pours from him, the dying Renly falls into the arms of Brienne, who had been dressing him for battle. The commotion draws the attention of the guards. They rush in and see Brienne holding the dead king. Assuming she killed Renly, they attack. Cat convinces Robar Royce of Brienne's innocence, and he helps the women flee. The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Cat tries to keep the peace between Renly and Stannis Baratheon. Neither is willing to budge an inch, so Cat and the rest prepare for war. Simon and Mackelly predict the likely outcome. Chapter Review: Catelyn Stark is first to reach the hill where the two sides will parley. She cannot see the sea, but can smell it in the air. In the distance, the giant fortress of Storm's End looms with Stannis Baratheon's small army arrayed before it. The siege looks entirely pointless. Stannis arrives and exhibits the coldness he's famous for when expressing his sorrow about Ned's death. He's not there to make friends (king's don't have friends, only subjects and enemies), and reminds Cat that Robb will be next once he's dealt with Renly and Joffrey. Renly arrives and the brothers exchange unpleasantries. Each offers the other the lordship of Storm's End if he'll support the other's claim to the throne. Neither will. So the talks come to nothing. As she leaves Melisandre warns Renly to look to his sins. War is inevitable and Cat wants no part in it, but Renly refuses her request to leave. He wants her to witness his army's power and his ruthlessness in putting down dissent (even from his own kin) so that Robb will hear of it. She goes to a nearby sept to pray. Characters/Places/Names/Events: Catelyn Stark - Lady of Winterfell. Widow of Lord Eddard Stark and daughter of Hoster Tully, the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. Stannis Baratheon - Elder brother of Renly Baratheon, rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Renly Baratheon - Robert and Stannis' youngest brother. Lord of Storm's End. Husband to Margaery Tyrell. Claimant to the Iron Throne. Margaery Tyrell - Daughter of Mace Tyrell, Lord Paramount of the Reach. Sister to Ser Loras Tyrell. Wife to King Renly Baratheon. She is reputed to resemble Lyanna Stark. Ser Loras Tyrell - Knight of Flowers. Youngest son of Mace Tyrell. Dashing and renowned swordsman. Brienne of Tarth - Tall and homely daughter of Lord Selwyn Tarth the Evenstar. She is an expert sword fighter. Member of King Renly's Rainbow Guard. Randyll Tarly - Lord of Horn Hill. Father of Samwell Tarly. This week, we're enduring the sickening misery at Craster's Keep, there's a rather large Jaime-shaped elephant in the room in King's Landing, and there are parallels somehow being drawn between the two characters at polar opposites of the story. We've got Margaery Tyrell doing ASMR with Tommen and Ser Pounce, and we're also sitting in on an Oasis recording session.

The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Cat arrives in the Reach to discuss an alliance with King Renly Baratheon. She finds him amidst a tremendous host, playing at being king with feasting and tournaments. His nonchalance is punctured by news that his brother Stannis has besieged, not King's Landing, but the Baratheon seat of Storm's End. Mackelly and Simon consider the internecine implications. Chapter Review: Catelyn Stark awakes from sweet dreams of her family reunited, to the reality that she's headed further away from them. She and her honor/body-guard have skirted the troubles in the Riverlands and arrived safely in the Reach. Today will see them reach the upper Mander River and the Roseroad. She eschews a lavish breakfast to speed things along. They're spied and escorted into Renly's camp. The army is larger than she'd imagined, with banners from all over the Reach and the Stormlands. At the center, is the town of Bitterbridge and noise of a great tournament. Cat watches as an unknown knight defeats Ser Loras Tyrell to win the grand melee. The knight is revealed to be Brienne, the tall and homely daughter of Lord Selwyn Tarth. Brienne joins Renly's Rainbow Guard. Cat jousts (figuratively, and) politely with Renly who doesn't mind if Robb claims the title of king, as long as he ultimately bends the knee to Renly as the King of the Seven Kingdoms. He takes her to the tower so they can look upon his mighty host. She is not unimpressed. But his apparent primacy is challenged when news arrives that his brother Stannis has landed on the mainland with the focus of his attack, not King's Landing, but Storm's End. Characters/Places/Names/Events: Catelyn Stark - Lady of Winterfell. Widow of Lord Eddard Stark and daughter of Hoster Tully, the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. Renly Baratheon - Robert and Stannis' youngest brother. Lord of Storm's End. Husband to Margaery Tyrell. Claimant to the Iron Throne. Margaery Tyrell - Daughter of Mace Tyrell, Lord of the Reach. Sister to Ser Loras Tyrell. Wife to King Renly Baratheon. She is reputed to resemble Lyanna Stark. Ser Loras Tyrell - Knight of Flowers. Dashing and renowned swordsman. Brienne of Tarth - Tall and homely daughter of Lord Selwyn Tarth the Evenstar. She is an expert fighter. Member of King Renly's Rainbow Guard. Randyll Tarly - Lord of Horn Hill. Father of Samwell Tarly. Ser Barristan Selmy - Ousted Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Location unknown. Bitterbridge - Town in the Reach, where the Roseroad crosses the upper Mander River. Roseroad - Road linking King's Landing to Highgarden. TESTO DELL'ARTICOLO ➜ http://www.bastabugie.it/it/articoli.php?id=5752INVASIONE DI PERSONAGGI LGBTQIecc.

The only good spinoffs that have ever happened are The Jeffersons and Fraiser, but I would literally give away my retirement savings for a parallel GoT in which Margaery Tyrell makes it to the end. I was legit in love with her. Anyways, I mostly liked this week's episode. This episode was recorded the evening of 5.6.19.

On this week's podcast, Margaery Tyrell herself Natalie Dormer joins John Nugent in the pod booth to talk about her new neo-noir thriller In Darkness. Plus, Rob Brydon treats Ian Freer to a personal rendtion of his best impressions, and explains the rules of synchronised swimming from his new comedy Swimming With Men. Elsewhere in podland, with Chris Hewitt back in The Old Country, James Dyer takes the reins with his usual levels of gentle understatement and sunny optimism, ably flanked by the ever-cunning Helen O'Hara and Nick De Semlyen.

If she didn’t catch your eye in The Tudors, where she played Anne Boleyn, or the last two Hunger Games movies, you likely know Natalie Dormer from her four-year run as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones. Now, this talented actress has made her writing and producing debut on a film called In Darkness. She also plays the starring role! As if that isn’t enough, she’s the lead in the new miniseries remake of Picnic at Hanging Rock. Leonard and Jessie are glad she found time to chat for an hour: she’s articulate and amusing, as you will hear for yourself.

The Chicks talk about what gives a strong character her strength, what depths she’ll have to go, some fan theories, and much much more. Natalie Dormer stars in The Forest, the first scary movie in 2016. Making her horror debut, she takes on double duty playing twins in the story about traveling to Japan to save her sister from impending doom in the famed Aokigahara suicide forest. Natalie tells Robin she tempted fate by visiting the forest prior to shooting the film by stepping off the path for a mere second. Not one to be put off by spirits, insects are another story as she had to fend off the creepy crawlers in the scene where she falls down the sinkhole. Coming off Cressida in Hunger Games, and playing Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones, Natalie tells Robin about changing her hairstyle for roles, reuniting with her family for the holidays, and more. In Episode 119 of Fireside Chat, we react to not one, but TWO pieces of Mockingjay casting news! Firstly: Natalie Dormer is Cressida!
