This past weekend was busy with incredible sports action, so much so that 'THE' Tony Hope and Noble Lewis recorded this episode of Hear Me Roar a day early as they couldn't wait to dive into conversation. The first segment of the episode covers the legendary event that was UFC 300, headlined by the Alex Pereira's first round knockout of Jamahal Hill and Max Holloway's literal last second knockout against Justin Gaethje. Tony and Noble analyzes the rest of the stacked card as well from the early prelims all the way to the main card. They then transition to the upcoming NBA Playoffs, but before we get there, we have to first determine the 7th and 8th seeds via the Play-In Tournament. Tony and Noble give their predictions and analysis on those games and the first round matchups of the playoffs. And then to wrap up the episode, the guys cover the developments in Rashee Rice's hit-and-run case and the federal charges Ippei Mizuhara, Shohei Ohtani's former translator, is facing for allegedly stealing over $16 million from Ohtani.
In this iteration of Hear Me Roar, 'THE' Tony Hope and Noble Lewis recap a historic WrestleMania 40 weekend including the conclusion of Cody Rhodes' story against Roman Reigns. They also talk about South Carolina's Women's NCAA Championship win over Caitlyn Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes, and UCONN's Men's Championship win over Purdue. In today's episode, 'THE' Tony Hope and Noble Lewis talk about Tony's trilogy title fight against Kamren Burton last Friday and how it ranks up with Tony's past performances. UFC 298 was this past weekend and it was an exciting card from the early prelims to the main event matchup where of course, we saw a changing of the guard in the UFC with Ilia Topuria's knockout victory over Alexander Volkanovski. Who will be Ilia's first title defense? Is this loss the beginning of the end for Volkanovski? Tony and Noble answers these questions and breakdown the fight. They also go through the rest of the main card including Robert Whittaker's bounce back victory over Paulo Costa, Merab Dvalishvili's dominance over Henry Cejudo, and Ian Garry's boring win against Geoff Neal. They transition to NBA All Star Weekend and the entertainment, or lack thereof, that was provided. Tony and Noble discuss why the All Star game is boring now and what can be done to improve the product.
