What's up guys, today I answered some questions from an Instagram poll I put up. From working in a race shop, to living in Mooresville and more, there were a bunch of good questions that I really had to think about. Anyways, I hope you enjoy listening and be sure to let me know if you have more questions!! Just send me a message... @FirstOrFence everywhere! Hey guys, I hope you're doing good. I finally sat down to talk about my Daytona 500 weekend and all the excitement around it... Staying in the infield, spending the week in the pits and just seeing everything that comes along with the biggest race of the year. It was an overwhelming amount of fun so I hope you like listening to some of my stories from the week!! Thank you guys! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Hey everybody, I hope you are doing well. I know I haven't made a podcast since last February but I hope that you've stayed in tune with First Or Fence on Instagram and my other socials. Making this episode made me realize how important and also fun a podcast episode here and there can be and I'm looking forward to making at least 2 a month in 2025. I hope you're able to follow along and I greatly appreciate your support. Anyways, in this episode I just talked about my 2024 and my plans for 2025. Mooresville has been great and I love North Carolina in general. 2024 was a mix of being able to enjoy this place while also still adjusting from moving away from home. I've learned a lot, I'm focused and ready to have the best year for First Or Fence ever. From now on, all my podcast episodes will be posted under, "The First Or Fence Audio Installment". The First Or Fence Story (my other podcast) is a short show that documented my journey from having 0 ties to NASCAR to living in Charlotte and having a job building race cars. I want to keep it that way. For now, I'll use this podcast to post more general racing content. Okay guys, I hope you like this episode and I hope you have a good 2025. Stayed tuned for more episodes!!Thank you again,Nicky Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Back from Gateway and we saw what was in my opinion and anomaly of a race. From faces in new places to a strange lightening delay it was really a bizarre race. Unfortunately it kind of ended a great streak of races but they can't all be barn burners and we still had some positives to take away going into Sonoma. Thank you to everyone who listened and I will see you next week. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
600 miles at Charlotte are finally over and were left with Ryan Blaney's winless streak finally ending, Chase Elliott being sent on vacation and Corey Lajoie stepping up to the plate. The season is about to take its annual turn where a driver begins to separate himself and assert himself as the favorite to win the regular season championship. Last year it was Chase Elliott and the year before that it was Kyle Larson. It looks like this year it might be William Byron but Ryan Blaney is right behind him coming off of a win. Thanks for listening, i'll see you next week! Other Socials: https://linktr.ee/Firstorfence Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The coke 600 is here and someone has an opportunity to claim the second crown jewel of the year. Before we talk about that I want to recap an amazing weekend at the resurrected North Wilkesboro Speedway and how even though I wasn't born when they last raced here I still appreciated the amazing track and how cool it is but also practical to add to the NASCAR cup series schedule. I think we'd all trade a Richmond or a Phoenix date here even with the struggling short track package.I hope you enjoy the podcast and I will see you all next Tuesday. Have a great week. Fast again but out of control again Chastain is back and we dissect why he is the best yet worst driver in the next gen era. Larson finally breaks through at Darlington with a show on Saturday but falls short by a sliver yet again in the cup race. North Wilkesboro is already here and I talk about why I think it is shaping up to be possibly the best race of the Next Gen era and in recent years in general. I drop my race picks and the veteran I have winning would align the last star in a historic event coming Sunday.I hope you like the podcast and be sure the check out The First Or Fence StoryOther socials and podcasts: https://linktr.ee/FirstorfenceTrey Ryan on twitter: https://twitter.com/TreyRyan99?s=20 Hosted on Acast. At Kansas this week Ross Chastain proved that he is unstoppable up until this point, Denny Hamlin broke his winless streak with an exciting win and Kansas Motor Speedway showcased that it is a top track on the circuit. We talk all that and then look onto the 400 mile race at Darlington this Sunday. Back with another episode of the First Or Fence Audio Installment this time after Dover. The Truex brothers managed to sweep the weekend with Ryan getting his first career Xfinity Series win and Martin ending a massive winless streak. Chastain is back to form in causing his weekly caution and looks to continue his 3 week streak at Kansas. We might get another rainy race weekend coming up but Sunday looks clear and warm. It is supposed to be hot and slick so that would be perfect for some great racing at a multi-groove track. I hope you enjoy the podcast and I will see you next week!Trey Ryan on Twitter for more NASCAR stats: https://twitter.com/TreyRyan99?s=20 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Season 2, Episode 13 is here and today we discuss Talladega and an okay super speedway race. We talk all things from JJ Yeley's rise to replacing Denny to Chastain taking Gragson 3 wide. Kyle Busch scores his second win with Richard Childress Racing and it's looking like they're going to have a great year. It's been a year since Dover so I'm not sure who will be fast but its a great track so im very optimistic about this weekends racing. I hope you enjoyed the podcast and I will see you next week! Unfortunately the short track package continues to suffer but in spite of that we still had plenty to talk about. Larson gets his second win of the season already and it looks like there are many more to come. SHR finally brought some speed but lack of execution plagued the entire teams chance at a win yet again. After talking Martinsville we look onto 'Dega which I have a feeling is going to be a demo derby. I hope there is 3-5 wide passing but none the less it should have an insane finish like most super speedway races. I hope you enjoy the episode and I appreciate everyone who listens. Its episode 11 of season 2 of First Or Fence and I let you know why we gotta keep Bristol dirt on the schedule, I also dive into the Preece Larson incident and what I think of that. The race honestly had too much action to cover all of it but you won't want to miss this episode because we also had a ton of off track topics to discuss. From HMS gettin' caught cheatin' up a part.. Again? To Cody Ware being arrest I covered it all. We look onto the paper clip and hope to continue this hot streak of great racing. I hope you like the episode and I will see you next week. Kyle Larson finally had things go his way winning his first race of the year at one of the better Richmond races we've seen in a while. We saw a ton of comers and goers with the JGR cars having great long run speed while HMS had really good short run speed. Next week, on Easter Sunday, we have the Bristol dirt race which is going to be chaos. I attempted to make predictions for how that race might go but I really have no idea. None the less we've had two great weekends of racing in a row so I hope that trend continues. Thank you for listening and we will talk next week. its episode 10 of season 2 and were fresh of Circuit of the Americas. Tyler Reddick just proved that no matter the car he can win on a road course. He ran a great race and was by far the best car all weekend. Other than that the race was pretty tame only half the field ran into each other and spun one another out. Suarez nearly wrecked his teammate and Bowman on the "cool down" lap and everyone other than Reddick left mad. We look onto Richmond and what we might see there. The trucks go to Texas but we have yet another weekend filled with racing. I hope you like the podcast and I appreciate you listening. See you next week. Season 2, Episode 9 is out and Joey Logano just won Atlanta, I talk all things Atlanta from Harvick having another rough week to Keselowski almost breaking through and scoring a win. Lastly, I preview Circuit of the Americas and talk about all three series and what we might expect at those races, we won't have stage breaks so the races might get strung out a bit. There won't be any short pitting so it'll make the racing better but it might lessen the passing. Im sure there will be natural cautions in all three series so the field will still get jumbled up. I hope you enjoy the podcast and I will see you next week after COTA. William Byron puts a "Bowtie" on the west coast swing by wrapping up the the three race stint with back to back wins. HMS leaves with a win but also with the potential to receive penalties on all 4 cars after NASCAR confiscated their louvers. Long time listen and a friend of mine Mathew, kbnascarfan on instagram, joins to talk all these things and we get into what we might see at Atlanta. Its going to be a busy weekend with all 3 series heading to the peach state which is now a super speedway incase you forgot. I hope you enjoy the podcast and I will see you next week after hopefully a great weekend of racing. Episode 7 of season 2 is out and we're fresh off Vegas. Overall was not the best intermediate race we've ever seen but a late race caution shook things up and made it pretty interesting. The Chevy's have dominated so far but is Phoenix the place that the Fords or Toyotas can break through? Although it feels impossible to predict I tried to theorize what we might see this weekend with the new short track package. I am optimistic that the racing will be a lot better than what we've seen In the past and that will make for a great weekend. In today's episode of The First Or Fence Podcast I look at the many similarities from 2007 to 2022. Kyle Busch left the best team in 2007 to join a struggling Joe Gibbs racing who only scored 4 wins opposed to rival Hendrick Motorsports 18. When Kyle went to Joe Gibbs Racing in 2008 he scored 8 wins a career high. He blamed the insane run a lot of wanting to prove to his former team how good he was. Do you think we'll see something similar to this next year? I hope you like the episode and have a great day. Thank you!
