Las comunidades de Asturias y Castilla y León están de luto tras una nueva tragedia ocurrida en una cuenca minera. Esta vez, el suceso tuvo lugar en la mina de Cerredo, en Degaña. Una explosión, aparentemente causada por gas grisú, ha dejado cinco muertos y cuatro heridos. Sobre lo sucedido y el estado de los heridos, en el informativo del 24 Horas de RNE hablamos con la delegada del Gobierno en Asturias, Adriana Lastra."Los cuatro heridos están estables dentro de la gravedad. Afortunadamente, no se teme por sus vidas", expresa la entrevistada. Respecto a lo que ha ocurrido y tras hablar con la Brigada de Salvamento Minero, la delegada del Gobierno en Asturias avanza que: "todo apunta a que fue una explosión de grisú, pero lo que hay que investigar es por qué" y puntualiza que aunque "la mina es una actividad peligrosa, pero se ha avanzado mucho en prevención".
