Round 3 of the Pro Motocross championship brought us to the mile high city (well a little bit outside of it) in Lakewood, Colorado. Chase Sexton was coming off one of the best rides of all time last weekend and gaining the points lead but just as quickly as the momentum swung in his favor, it was lost this weekend so James breaks down why Chase struggled from his perspective and why the bike didn't work as well here compared to Hangtown. Jett Lawrence was looking to bounce back after a gnarly get off and potential injury and we saw him regain control by taking the OA on the day and talk about what led him to being able to rebound so quickly. And the track has the Ford and Shelby Nationals that will be held at the track. Tech starts at 8am, Spectator gates at noon, racing from 3-10pm. Monday is a drive day as racers/roadweekers head south towards the Texas Motorplex for racing on Tuesday. Tuesday at Texas Motorplex, racing runs from 3-10pm. Wednesday we'll race at Thunder Valley in Oklahoma City from 3-10pm. At this point we will be at least 600 miles into the trip, maybe more depending on how Matt and June route the drive day. The drive from OKC to Mo-Kan for racing on Day Four is going to be a long one as well, something between 250-300 miles depending on the route! This will be the first stop of RMRW at Mo-Kan and I can't wait to see the photos and videos that come from it!  Rounding out the week and the shortest drive of all is the return back to Tulsa, this drive should be 150ish miles depending on the route they send racers down. I hope they route you through Galena, KS and you get a chance to see Gearhead Curios and Cars on the Route. Gearhead was such a great route stop for racers of The Circuit that I hope more people get to experience the location.

In the aftermath of the 1979 Daytona 500, NASCAR found itself on an unimaginable trajectory to becoming the biggest form of motorsport in the country. Some 16-million viewers tuned in to watch the flag to flag coverage on CBS, and having witnessed the fight, the King and the rest of the action, they were hungry for more. The result was speedway box offices being flooded with ticket requests, and the largest crowds that had ever assembled to take in stock car racing. Rockingham, Richmond, Atlanta, North Wilkesboro and Bristol were next on the schedule to take a turn at entertaining the masses. A year ago, Grant Harlan was struggling to even make 250 mains in Monster Energy Supercross. In 2023, he made 13 450 mains! That got him into the lucrative top 20 in points, and he's doing even better in Pro Motocross, where he sits 10th in points. Yes, lots of factory riders are out, but at Thunder Valley, Harlan was pressuring Adam Cianciarulo and Cooper Webb late in the second moto! This all bodes well as the first-ever SuperMotocross World Championship looms, which will pay big money to all the riders who qualify. Harlan currently sits 13th in combined AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross points, so he's looking at an automatic bid into the SMX playoffs (top 20 in points are guaranteed entry). As an example, 13th in points at the end of SMX pays $34,000, plus every week the riders in the races will make a couple grand, so Harlan could easily pocket $40-$50k if he keeps this up. That's not all! Harlan is also racing FIM World Supercross, starting this weekend. It was an amazing effort and one that has some truly cool backstories that they share.    Dean Antonelli and the entire Ron Capps Motorsports team had to rebound from a first-round loss in the New England Nationals to race again on Sunday for the Thunder Valley Nationals crown which they got. Antonelli talks about how they altered their clutch program, hung together as a group, and worked hard on a challenging Sunday to win. He talks about his career and some of the more unique things about leading a Nitro Funny Car team into battle.    Lastly, to head up the show, Lohnes goes on a rant about people who are constantly repeating lame tropes about drag racing and actually harming the sport they claim to be helping.
