After a busy weekend of motorsports, Phil and Josh are ready to tell you all about it on E226 of the GSP. Hello Palou won from pole at Laguna Seca but didn't have it easy. Andretti Global and Arrow McLaren had their entire teams represented in the top 12, including the debuting Nolan Siegel in the No.6. Will Power struggled but salvaged a 7th place finish for points. Plenty of stuff including the introduction of hybrids and Faux taking over TV coverage are just some of the additional storylines heading into an off weekend. On the NASCAR side, Christopher Bell dominated at New Hampshire and also spilled the beans on Chase Briscoe being the replacement for the retiring Martin Truex, Jr. at the No.19 car in the Cup series. Bell was fast in the dry and the wet, but his future teammate Briscoe and current teammate Josh Berry used the rain to get podium finishes on a day where Briscoe was about to go a lap down in the first segment. Bell passed teammate Sheldon Creed on the last lap to win the XFinity race and go 4/4 at The Magic Mile in the series. Creed joins Dale Jarrett and Daniel Hemric for the most runner-ups prior to a first win in series history. Fish Lips continues his reign on F1 with a win at the spot of his first victory in Catalunya. Woody Russell beat FL and his buddy and polesitter Lando Norris off the line to lead, but the other two passed and went off in the distance. Sir Lewis Hamilton earned his first podium since Mexico last fall. Tire choices and pit stops played a key role in the result at a track that is brutal for overtaking. The GSP Roundup covers IMSA, Indy NXT, F2, F3, F1 Academy, NHRA, MotoGP, Moto2, WRC and Formula E before Phil and Josh preview the Austrian Grand Prix for F1 and the NASCAR tripleheader at Nashville. Josh lets us know about his karting exploits in the Sim/Karting segment prior to promotions.
In true Nashville fashion, one of our hosts showed up drunk. One called in from the side of the road. And well, the other one had a normal Wednesday. All in all a good weekend in New Hampshire as Reagan made the Magic Mile his bitch.Support the Show.

We preview the race by making our four fantasy picks and the overall winner. Christopher Bell and New Hampshire Motor Speedway go together like lobster and butter. We breakdown the USA Today 301 at Loudon on Sunday that featured wet weather tires being used for the first time at the Magic Mile. We discuss silly season news now that Chase Briscoe is officially going to Joe Gibbs Racing to replace the retiring Martin Truex Jr and discuss Gene Haas retaining his one Cup team and two Xfinity Teams. We also review the weekend that was in short track racing that saw Landon Huffman return to victory lane, Michael Bumgarner and Clark Houston dueling it out at Hickory and Greg Edwards edging out the defending National Champ Connor Hall at Langley among other news in this week's Short Track Spotlight. Send us a Text Message.#280 - Mile races are not very popular anymore. But when we think back to mile races, we may think of Roger Bannister breaking the 4-minute mile for the first time and how incredible it must have been. Or, we think of how this distance evolved into the 1500-meter race we have today. Or maybe, you think of the Beer Mile races that are rising in popularity today. There's something about the Miler to me that conjures storytelling, history and the romanticism of running. That's what makes it such a magical distance.
A quelle allure courir votre prochaine course ?

It's been a minute! Will Porter and Jacob Simpson are back one again to discuss the happenings in the NASCAR Cup Series since the Chicago Street Race. The boys talk about Justin Haley's move over to Rick Ware Racing next season and what all of the implications that may have moving forward. The race at Loudon was actually one to behold; the fellas talk about the magic on the Magic Mile, tires seeming to become a problem once again, and whether or not Chase Elliott makes the playoffs after this week's showing. Will and Jacob get to listen to dear friend Brenden's take on Chicago. The week before, the podcast crew was together at Atlanta. The boys discuss the action, their experience in person versus the highlights from TV, why there was so much complaining on social media about the start time and whether or not a Saturday night race would be better in comparison. And finally, Where will the surface of Atlanta Motor Speedway head? All the fellas can do is project where it might head and what they would like to see happen. This week's episode intro is courtesy of Rise and Runner Tara. You can be picked to intro the show by clicking the Join The Conversation link and leaving us a intro. We have a full house this week as we are joined by our friends Pamela and Kristen (Running in Makeup / Dare to Dopey) as members of our Council of Costumes . Fellow Council member Cindy was not able to join us for this recording . The training schedule this week for Wine and Dine Weekend is 4 miles with one of them being the Magic Mile. Those running the Goofy or Dopey Challenges during Marathon Weekend have a 7 and 17 mile back-to-back weekend. Those "just" running the marathon have 17 miles on the plan. We get a training update from Lexi who had 26 miles on her schedule, so she ran the Towpath Marathon in Cleveland, Ohio as a catered training run. We then get into the range of emotions we run into (no pun intended) during a marathon. We got our first look at the Princess Half Marathon Weekend medals that were released by runDisney this week. Listen to our takes on the medals and some of little things we noticed. The Council of Costumes returns as we are joined by our friends Kristen (Running in Makeup / Dare to Dopey) and Pamela. The conversation covers multiple topics: costumes for Wine and Dine weekend, group costumes, alternate takes on the themes of races, and much more to get your costumes ready for race weekend. We introduced a new segment this week that we will be featuring from time to time called Podcasts We Listen To. The inaugural podcast for this segment is Disney with the Ducks. We sit down and chat with the Ducks on how they started their podcast. On this week's Race Report Spotlight we take a trip to the Windy City for the Chicago Marathon. We talk with Emily and Rob about running the Marathon and spectator support on the course. NASCAR took its one and only trip to Loudon on Sunday, leading to Christopher Bell's second career Cup Series win. The "Magic Mile" delivered on its Next-Gen debut with a good crowd and quite an exciting race. All moments weren't magical as this weekend left Martin Truex Jr on the bubble and a bit of confrontation on track between Austin Dillon and Brad Keselowski. Rene and Kenny will discuss the current NASCAR Playoff system. Following that the duo will give their picks for this weekend's race at Pocono Raceway. #AllTurnsNoBrakes
