Denny gets into the wet-weather racing, NASCAR's decision to throw the competition caution, and whether the teams should have just been left to figure out when to change tires. He also breaks down the Hocevar-Zilisch incident, Connor's rough day, and why the move to Hendrick could be a really good thing for him in the long run. Then there's Denny's own race. He explains the late-race strategy, why he didn't take two tires when it looked like that might be the move to win the race. The codewords make another appearance too, and Jared has decided they need a whole board game theme now. With Daytona up next, Denny thinks we could be in for a chaotic one. He also takes a look at the playoff picture, where things stand between SVG and Ryan Preece, and what's going on with Byron and Bubba as the playoffs get closer. Welcome back to Actions Detrimental presented by Bob's Discount Furniture. Chase Briscoe joins the show for a wide-ranging conversation about his relationship with Denny, how they first crossed paths, and the infamous Indy wreck that still gets brought up years later. He also reflects on making the move to Toyota, the learning curve that came with joining JGR, and how working with James Small has helped him continue to improve. With The Chase getting closer, Chase breaks down the new playoff format, the importance of stacking stage points, and the drivers he sees as being on the bubble. He also looks ahead to Richmond and Darlington, discusses the tight points battle, and explains why consistency could be more important than ever once the playoffs begin. Chase also shares what it is like racing alongside Denny, why Denny is so difficult to catch on a bad day, the pressure that comes with pit stops, and what goes through a driver's mind when things go wrong on pit road. There is plenty of fun mixed in, from fishing and driver group chats to getting a text from Kyle Busch.  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ty Gibbs is officially a two-time NASCAR Cup Series winner! Gibbs conquered Iowa Speedway to score the second victory of his Cup Series career, and Kerry Murphey and Toby Christie are breaking down everything from a wild weekend in Iowa on this edition of The Final Lap Weekly. Then it's time for the NASCAR News of the Week from TobyChristie.com, and there's plenty to unpack. Kyle Busch's iconic M&M's Toyota is making a return — sort of — as NASCAR prepares for a nostalgic tribute that longtime Rowdy fans are going to love. Denny Hamlin wanted different brakes for Iowa, but NASCAR apparently wasn't interested in letting that happen. We dig into the controversy surrounding NASCAR allegedly threatening to create a “made-up rule” to prevent the change and what that could mean for teams trying to improve their cars. The NASCAR Cup Series point standings are getting shaken up, and one of the biggest stories is Tyler Reddick's sudden plunge down the standings. How much trouble is he really in as the season heats up? Then we turn our attention to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a complete weekend preview. Who should thrive at the Magic Mile, which teams need a huge result, and could we see another surprise winner? Plus, Rowdy Dragon returns with his Fantasy NASCAR Picks for New Hampshire, giving you the drivers you need to consider before locking in your fantasy lineup. This week on Bringing the Heat With Trey Lyle, Caleb Barnes joins Lyle to focus on the biggest takeaways from the race at Iowa Speedway and talk the hottest topics of the week so far. One driver who has been a not-so-hot topic is Tyler Reddick, after a mistake took the No. 45 out of contention in the opening laps over the weekend. While Barnes believes the panic level is pretty high for the team, these next few races are key for Reddick to regroup and try to rebuild some confidence before the start of the Chase. With just three races left before the cutoff, Barnes and Lyle debate the drivers with the most to lose — or gain — when it comes to qualifying for the field of 16 drivers. That includes some concern about Shane van Gisbergen, along with some hope for some of the Ford drivers to use their short track speed to close on the cut line. Is Corey Heim vs. Carson Hocevar the Next Great NASCAR Rivalry? It might be a little too early to say yes. This week, fans found out that Corey Heim will not be eligible to compete for Rookie of the Year in 2027 due to a new regulation NASCAR is putting in place to determine who can qualify for the award. Barnes believes it's an unnecessary addition, while Lyle wonders if the Cup Series will even have anyone else available to run for 2027 Rookie of the Year. This week's news also brings a number of schedule announcements, including the return of the All Star Race to North Wilkesboro Speedway. While Barnes is sad to see the points race taken away, he thinks it's an opportunity to go to work on the short track package. Meanwhile, Lyle shares his excitement that the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series is returning to the historic venue in 2027. This week's soundbite comes from Christopher Bell, who reiterates some of his frustration with finishing in the runner-up spot yet again. Barnes and Lyle review if Bell could have handled the final run to the finish any differently at Iowa, and what the remainder of the season could look like if the No. 20 team does wind up breaking through to get to victory lane in the next few weeks. Watch Bringing the Heat With Trey Lyle here or listen wherever you get your podcasts.

Fresh off a tripleheader weekend of ARCA, Trucks, and Cup at The Tricky Triangle, DBC is back in the studio – once again praising the domination of Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 after his third straight win from the pole. On this episode, Chris Lambert – spotter for the No. 11 of Denny Hamlin – joins the show as a guest to talk about what's made the No. 11 team so strong in 2026, his journey into spotting at NASCAR's top level, and his thoughts on all the hot topics from this past weekend. Also, the group notes that NASCAR had tech trailers parked at the track in Pocono – front and center - but the No. 11 and No. 45 were not taken for testing. Plus, Jimmie Johnson does a drunk interview at Le Mans, Legacy is starting to contend for wins, and everyone has plenty of questions about how this weekend will go in San Diego. Denny Hamlin reacts to a chaotic, rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600 weekend after another win slips away from the No. 11 team. From restart battles and losing clean air to pit road frustration and perfectly timed cautions, Denny breaks down exactly why Charlotte felt like another missed opportunity. He also shares his frustration over late-race circumstances, joking about the “poor lifelong Denny Hamlin fans” while explaining how close they were to finally closing one out. The crew also takes a moment to reflect on the heartbreaking loss of Kyle Busch, with Denny sharing memories from their longtime relationship as teammates and competitors and discussing the impact Kyle had on NASCAR and the garage as a whole. Later, Denny explains why NASCAR racing at intermediate tracks has improved so much recently, from tire wear to cleaner grooves and late-race comers and goers. The guys also break down Toyota's strength at Charlotte, Daniel Suarez's momentum-building win, NASCAR's handling of the weather delays, and why Denny still believes the No. 11 team has championship-winning speed despite the recent finishes. Chase Elliott gets the win, but Denny Hamlin was right there with him. What looked like a simple P2 on paper was anything but, as Texas turned into a full-on track position battle where one restart could make or break your day. Denny breaks down how it slipped away. From getting buried in traffic to timing that final restart just about as perfectly as possible… and still coming up short. Was staying out the right call? Why did passing become nearly impossible late? And how close he actually was to clearing the 9 for the lead. Then it's everything else from a chaotic Texas weekend. Strategy gambles, pit road madness, and plenty for Actions Detrimental to sort through. Denny weighs in on the Kyle Busch situation, Preece vs. Gibbs, and the restarts that had everyone on edge. Plus, strong runs from Bowman, Bubba charging back through the field, and Spire showing real speed. We also dive into the points picture, where Tyler Reddick is in a league of his own, and what it'll take for SVG to make a push. A runner-up finish, a lot of what-ifs, and a race that was one move away from a very different ending. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
