There is something that is stopping all of us from manifesting what it is we ultimately want -- and when you learn about this limiting belief, it's your job to then work through it and allow the abundance to flow! Once you work through this limiting belief, you'll be able to attract more money super quickly and easily And this is not just about money -- you can attract a partner, friends, a better body, etc. Here is the thing that's blocking you: Every time you tell yourself that you want more money, or want to attract more money, you're unconsciously telling the universe, and your subconscious, that you don't currently HAVE the reality you're looking for! When you appreciate something, it appreciates. So by becoming grateful for how much money you have right now, you show the universe you appreciate it. And once you have appreciation for where you are now, you can THEN grow. It's the curious paradox by Carl R. Rogers: "When I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.' Everytime you identify what you're LACKING, you are reminding the universe you're not ready for it. Instead, here's what you need to do: Believe you already have it. Believe that you have already have what it is you desire then puts you in alignment with the universe, and you'll then attract what it is you want!

Divorce settlements are often compared with business deals. But the analogy falls apart when you consider that business deals give you the option to walk away. Perhaps a better parallel is that of a hostage negotiation, where you have no choice but to work with the other side. And in both cases, approaching the negotiation with respect—despite your very different point of view—is the most beneficial strategy. Chris Voss is the founder and CEO of The Black Swan Group, a professional development and consulting firm that provides training and advises Fortune 500 companies through complex negotiations. A 24-year veteran of the FBI, Chris is one of the top authorities on international crisis and high-stakes negotiations, lecturing at business schools across the US and appearing on ABC, CBS and CNN, among many other national media outlets. He is also the author of Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as If Your Life Depended On It. Today, Chris joins Katherine to discuss the parallels between hostage and divorce negotiations, explaining how both work best when we respect the other side’s point of view despite a difference of opinion. He describes how providing emotional compensation in a negotiation can shift the other side’s demands and shares his approach to handling a bully with fearless deference. Listen in for insight around why Chris separates the HOW and the WHAT of a negotiation and learn why compromise is NOT the best approach! Topics Covered The parallels between hostage and divorce negotiations How to respect the other side’s POV without agreeing The distinction between empathy and compassion How providing emotional compensation can shift demands How the word ‘fair’ leads to overreaction in a negotiation How Prospect Theory explains our overreaction to loss How to negotiate with a bully through fearless deference The difference in demeanor of a bully vs. a predator How women seem to pick up negotiation more quickly Why hearing the other side out is key to a negotiation Why Chris separates the WHAT and the HOW of negotiating Chris’ insight around the problem with compromise Connect with Chris Voss The Black Swan Group: https://blackswanltd.com/ Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as If Your Life Depended On It by Chris Voss with Tahl Raz: https://www.amazon.com/Never-Split-Difference-Negotiating-Depended/dp/0062407805 Text FBIEMPATHY to 22828 Connect with Katherine Miller The Center for Understanding Conflict: http://understandinginconflict.org/ Miller Law Group: https://westchesterfamilylaw.com/ Katherine on LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/kemiller1 The New Yorker’s Guide to Collaborative Divorce by Katherine Miller: https://www.amazon.com/New-Yorkers-Guide-Collaborative-Divorce/dp/0692496246 Email: katherine@westchesterfamilylaw.com Call (914) 738-7765 Resources Carl Rogers: https://www.simplypsychology.org/carl-rogers.html Books by Carl R. When was the last time you weren’t trying to change something about yourself? Today, Elena explores the mindset shift that comes from living our life rather than constantly trying to fix our life. When we are in fixing mode – which, for many of us, is most of the time – we spend our days rooted in expectations, not-enoughness, and past or future thinking. When we spend our time living, we connect to the present moment. Highlights for Less Fixing, More Living What does less fixing, more living mean? (2:20) “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I change.” ~Carl R. Rogers (3:30) Choose self-compassion instead of self-improvement (3:45) Setting goals without intention focuses on the finish line and often leads us to being perpetually unsatisfied (4:00) Get off the hamster wheel of doing (6:00) Stop waiting for the future or for conditions to be perfect and start noticing what already exists in your life (6:40) Celebrate the now with awareness instead of judgment (9:40) Use these 5 tools to practice living instead of fixing (11:10) Will you spend your time in judgment and expectation or in nurturing, nourishment, and intention? (15:05) When we stop fixing and start living, we are invited to be vulnerable. That is where the magic and growth happen (15:35) “Very little grows on jagged rock. Be ground. Be crumbled, so wildflowers will come up where you are. You’ve been stony for too many years. Try something different. Surrender.” ~Rumi (16:30) Invitations for the Week How can you fix less and live more this week? Maybe even ask yourself one of Elena’s favorite questions: What would feel delicious today?
