It's the final weekend for the two Calgary teams that made it to a national championship. Both Cavalry FC and the Mount Royal Cougars men's team were faced with snowy conditions in Ontario. This weekend marked the end of the regular season for seven Calgary based soccer teams. All seven of these teams will be headed to the post season next weekend.Cavalry FC wound up their season on Saturday afternoon where they drew Vancouver FC yet again. However the single point was enough to clinch third place. They will play the winner of HFX vs York in a match at Spruce Meadows on Sunday.There were two editions of the Crowchild Classic this weekend. The Cougars women and Dinos men emerged victorious. Manager Tommy Wheeldon Jr had another word before "poor" in his comments about defending, but I wasn't sure if adding it to the title would trigger explicit warnings for this episode. We discuss the match.The Calgary Wild are finishing up their season playing for pride and their jobs. They faced first place AFC Toronto at McMahon Stadium on the weekend and suffered another 2-1 loss to the league leaders. We review this match as well.There were a lot of USports matches over the weekend and we provide updates on all of them, including the Dinos men, who only captured 1 of 6 possible points. The Cougars men had a win and a loss which keeps them in first place in the division. The Dinos women maintained their unbeaten season while the Cougars beat the other Cougars and lost to Saskatchewan.The Calgary ACAC derby happened again over the weekend and as usual the SAIT Trojans swept the Ambrose Lions.
