Texas has become a magnet for businesses and individuals seeking economic freedom and opportunity. Why? What inspires thousands of people to uproot their lives to relocate? Moving is costly and labor-intensive, yet the record-breaking swell of domestic migration to Texas from states like California and New York indicates incentives significant enough for people to risk change in hopes of better lives. Every policy has a result, and E.J. Antoni, Economist at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, discusses with Linda the policies that have attracted droves of American citizens to Texas. Cassie took a trip recently. A trip to Texas. You probably already know where this is going. To say she had bad luck would be something of an understatement. Lots of people are having a bad time, though, and not just in Texas. Mike Lindell is being sued for 1.3 billion dollars, which one could argue is a bit excessive. Costaki, on the other hand, is getting back on the road and he's got a suitcase full of anaphylaxis jokes ready to go. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Yesterday, the Supreme Court responded to a fast-tracked lawsuit filed by Texas alleging that four 2020 presidential election swing states have violated the Constitution and, in the process, disenfranchised Texan and other voters across the country. The Court has required Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan to say whether their state legislatures’ constitutional responsibility to establish election rules and procedures were respected, and not fraudulently abused. As it happens, a special “Election Fraud Truth Summit” aired yesterday on the “Economic War Room” television program demonstrates powerfully that unconstitutional – and illegal – behavior threatens to steal the outcome of the race for the White House. Were such a fraud to be perpetrated, not only would a terrible injustice be done, with unimaginably far-reaching implications. It would doom the prospects for free and fair elections in the future. Get the facts at EveryLegalVote.com. This is Frank Gaffney.
In the 244 years since the United States was founded, it has come to control fifty states and sixteen overseas territories. Of the fifty states, however, how many can claim the distinction of having been formerly independent nations? Perhaps the most impressive of these was Texas which, between 1836 and 1845, was its sovereign state before ultimately being annexed by the United States. What was Texas the country like and why did it ultimately agree to become a U.S. state? Tune in today's all-new episode to find out! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/historylovescompany/support
