The Chinese Communist Party has redoubled its efforts to punish a leader of the once-formidable democracy movement in Hong Kong. Under China's oppressive national security law, Joshua Wong faces a possibly quite protracted  extension of his incarceration four years ago.   The message will not be lost on Hong Kongers who, prior to the CCP's crackdown on dissent and now complete control over the former British colony, turned out by the millions to express their commitment to freedom. Today, they live the bleak lives of people enslaved in every other Chinese city.  The intensifying repression in Hong Kong also underscores for the people of Taiwan the fate that lies in store for them if the CCP succeeds in taking their island, either by force or as a result of its surrender by the kow-towing Kuomintang Party. Yesterday, I testified before the Texas State Board of Education in support of standards for a pro-American high school curriculum that will be used to teach social studies to students across America for the next thirteen years. I found myself surrounded by sharia-supremacist witnesses there to nit-pick those standards, demanding our submission to “culturally sensitive” alternatives.  One such intervention sought changes to the new standards' accurate depiction of the 9/11 attacks as evidence of historic Islamic violence. I woke this morning to a reel showing New York firemen on the ground floor of one of the Twin Towers on that day, men who would soon be murdered by the jihadist perpetrators, listening to the crashing sound of others leaping to their deaths. Next week, Republican leaders from across the country will meet in Dallas for an unprecedented Midterm Convention. Naturally, it will showcase what has been accomplished during the Trump presidencies and under Republican majorities in Congress. This election must be about the future, however, not just the past. And that future will be profoundly shaped by whether voters this Fall understand the choice before them – namely, to continue to enjoy the freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution. Or to imperil both at the hands of Marxists and jihadists now running for office as Democrats, thereby reaffirming that party as the historic champion of enslavement. Over two-dozen patriotic legislators and grassroots leaders representing some 5 million Americans have written Mr. Trump today urging him to establish freedom over slavery as “a defining, national and winning platform” in the elections this November. When Donald Trump was asked by Glenn Beck this week whether he would be prepared to prohibit Islam's strategy for conquest known as sharia, the President forthrightly said, “I would absolutely prohibit the sharia law thing.”  With that pathbreaking statement, Mr. Trump established that he recognizes, and is determined to oppose, not only Communist efforts to take down our country from within, but also those of the other part of the “Red-Green axis” – namely, seditious  sharia-supremacists.  The timing is truly providential. Republican leaders from across America will gather shortly in a Midterm Convention in Dallas. They can – and must –translate Mr. Trump's clarity into a national platform, impressing upon voters that now is a “time of choosing” between the freedom their party has historically championed and the slavery Democrats have relentlessly enabled, and their Marxist-jihadist candidates portend today. Donald Trump's interview yesterday with Glenn Beck featured a momentous exchange about Islam's strategy for conquest known as Sharia. The president responded to a question about taking action to prohibit it by saying, among other things, "I would absolutely prohibit the Sharia law thing". The timing of this pathbreaking statement is truly providential. It clears the way for Republican leaders from across the country to stand in their upcoming midterm convention against the totalitarians of the Sharia supremacist stripe and the communist one; both are being embraced by Democrats, even though they aspire to take down our constitutional republic and by so doing, enslave our people. From its founding, the GOP has been the party of freedom, and offering the American people a choice between liberty and modern-day slavery is a defining issue and a basis for successfully nationalizing these elections.    This is Frank Gaffney.

Two weeks from today, Republican leaders from all over America will be convening in Dallas with basically one thing on their minds. How to win the midterm elections?  In addition to addressing obvious topics including the economy, immigration, and election integrity, Republicans have an opportunity – and a duty – to draw a stark contrast with their Democrat opponents, especially the Marxist and sharia-supremacist ones.  From its founding, the GOP has been the party of freedom, while the Democrats have historically supported slavery – including, after many decades of fighting its abolition, their use of the Great Society welfare state to perpetuate suppression and exploitation of black Americans.  Today's Democrat Communists and jihadists want to enslave us all. We're in a moment Ronald Reagan famously described as “a time for choosing.” Republicans must use their Convention to make the choice of freedom over slavery.  This is Frank Gaffney.

Yesterday was Economic D-Day for Iran. Just as the success of World War II's kinetic one ultimately destroyed Hitler's regime, this one must finally liberate the Iranian people from their sharia-supremacist oppressors in Tehran.  In unveiling “Operation Economic Outcast,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declared that, “Beginning today, the actions of Treasury and other agencies will…block every potential source of revenue that funds the IRGC and the Iranian regime. We are enforcing a zero-leakage approach. There will be no minimal breathing space for the regime to rebuild its capacity to inflict terror against America and the world.” Particularly heartening is Secretary Bessent's affirmation that President Trump will apply such intensified economic restrictions universally, including secondary sanctions on “those who tether themselves to Tehran” and, therefore, “should expect to share in the isolation of a withering regime.”  Let's roll!  This is Frank Gaffney.

It's Past Time for a Mosque Moratorium. There's a growing awareness that the ongoing and accelerating proliferation of Muslim mosques across America is a problem.  Communities are discovering, usually very late in the game, that land has been stealthily purchased and plans submitted to zoning authorities to build large “Islamic centers”. If the applications comply with local ordinances, they are typically approved by local authorities, for example recently in McKinney, Texas.  As a short video at BanSharia.com makes clear, however, the trouble is that such mosques inherently represent national and homeland security threats. From Mohammed's time til now,  sharia-supremacists have used them as facilities to indoctrinate and weaponize Muslim communities and equip, plot and train for violent jihad. There should be an immediate moratorium on further mosque permitting and construction while the magnitude of the present danger posed by those already in operation is investigated and corrective actions taken.  This is Frank Gaffney.

Although a Marxist-jihadist is the mayor of New York City, another is Michigan Democrats' candidate for the U.S. Senate and the communist Democratic Socialists of America and Muslim Brotherhood's CAIR are clearly partnering, we're being told there's no such thing as the “Red-Green axis.”  In fact, despite differences over who ultimately will run the world, the radical left and sharia-supremacists share an immediate objective: Destroying the United States that stands in their way, from within and as quickly as possible. President Trump has expressed frustration with his South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae Myung, over his unwillingness to help the U.S. in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, American participation in annual military exercises with the Republic of Korea has been cut back.  Mr. Trump is right to be upset with Lee, but has plenty of other reasons -- and a more pointed and desirable vehicle for expressing it. The South Korean president is a Communist, fraudulently elected and moving aggressively to transform his country from a thriving, pro-American democracy into a despotic state aligned with Beijing and Pyongyang. As a new open letter to President Trump sponsored by the Committee on the Present Danger: China makes clear, he can and should rebuke Lee by insisting on the freeing of a former top Trump diplomat, Ambassador Morse Tan, being held hostage in Seoul. Since Islam's founding, its prophet Mohammed has been deemed the perfect man whose every act and directive is to be emulated by his followers. That has included his use of mosques as not just houses of worship, but as arsenals for plotting, preparing and waging jihad.  So, when the McKinney, Texas city council recently voted unanimously to ignore widespread public opposition to approve the construction of another of these sharia-adherent “forward operating bases” there, its members failed in their duty to protect constituents and other Texans. Thankfully, there's a move afoot to have them recalled.  In addition, with the accelerating proliferation of such facilities, that state's governor, Greg Abbott, should declare a moratorium on further permitting or construction of mosques until the threat posed by the existing critical infrastructure of jihad can be properly evaluated and corrective actions taken. Imposing a moratorium on data centers has suddenly become a political phenomenon across the nation as popular opposition is fanned by so-called “Democratic socialists” backed by China and Republican and other voters alarmed at their implications for local power and water and Franken AI.  Shouldn't there also be a moratorium on the construction of an even more dangerous threat to American communities and security? Sharia-adherent Muslims like Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdulrahman El-Sayed have a problem. That strategy for conquest requires they strive to impose sharia as the supreme law of the land worldwide. They are further commanded to engage in jihad, or holy war, to accomplish it.   A new BanSharia.com “micro-documentary” makes clear that – while Islam's “perfect man,” the prophet Mohammed, preferred violent jihad – the designated terrorist group called the Muslim Brotherhood and its front-group known as CAIR, which has endorsed El-Sayed, practice a stealthy, pre-violent kind they call “civilization jihad.” It helps that sharia also obliges its adherents to lie to advance their conquest, a practice known as taqiyya. Only by lying can they swear an oath of office to defend the Constitution.  El-Sayed is campaigning on a platform of “trust.” If he can't be trusted to honor that oath, he's ineligible to serve. While official Washington is understandably preoccupied with the war with Iran, a tectonic shift has just occurred in the region that threatens to overshadow that conflict's ongoing challenges and knock-on effects.  For many years, we have been encouraged to believe that three sharia-supremacist nations – Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia – are reliable U.S. allies. Indeed, the Trump administration has counted on them to negotiate on our behalf with the Iranians.  The announcement that those three nations have just established a mutual defense accord is ominous. It means that Saudi Arabia is now joining the Turks and Pakistanis in aligning with the Red-Green axis forged by Communist China and the Muslim Brotherhood.  Reports that Egypt may soon join them signals our enemies are filling a perceived vacuum of power in the Mideast, increasingly threatening Western civilization at a particularly bad time.  This is Frank Gaffney.

Our country's most consequential accomplishment since its founding was the abolition of slavery. In the “unrestricted warfare” the Chinese Communist Party has long waged against the United States, one of its most effective lines of attack has involved the weaponization of the CCP's so-called “Old Friends” in America. Intrepid investigative journalist Natalie Winters revealed this week that, since 2008, China's influence operations and intelligence services have cultivated relationships with former members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and combatant commanders. They discuss sensitive and “high-risk” subjects, including Taiwan, the South China Sea and missile defense.  A driving force behind this “Sanya Initiative” is former Joint Chiefs Vice Chairman Bill Owens, who actually went to work for the CCP's notorious telecommunications and espionage company, Huawei, and even penned an article urging that we treat China “as a friend.”  There must be penalties for being an Old Friend of our mortal enemy, the Chinese Communist Party. Senator Ted Cruz took vitally needed testimony yesterday about the threat posed by the sharia-supremacist Muslim Brotherhood around the world and, especially ominously, inside the United States.  It established the Brotherhood has systematically built the critical infrastructure of jihad in this country over sixty years in the form of forward operating bases doing business as mosques, front groups and subversive influence operations.  The hearing came as a man who reportedly was a leader of the Brothers' original American front – the insidious Muslim Students association – was elected to be the Democratic candidate for Michigan's open U.S. Senate seat.     A powerful “micro-documentary” video released today by the BanSharia.com coalition raises the question: How can an adherent to Islam's sharia – who, therefore, must pursue its rule  worldwide – truthfully swear a senator's oath of office to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic?  This is Frank Gaffney.

There's currently much hand-wringing that our arsenal of precision and long-range weapons has been depleted to the point where we may be unable to continue combat operations against Iran, let alone deter – and, if necessary, win – a war with Communist China. Understandably, the Pentagon is reluctant to provide sensitive information on the topic. But leaks and congressional testimony suggest there's truth to the speculation.  If so, it's the predictable result of “strategic arson” perpetrated by Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. His Russian and Iranian allies' attacks on Ukraine and Israel, respectively, came after consultations in Beijing. And they have diverted our policy-makers, consumed our warriors' energies and materiel and overwhelmed inadequate military production lines.  The Trump administration and Congress are scrambling to expand our defense industrial base. Twenty-five years ago next month, a Muslim Brotherhood offshoot called al Qaeda murderously attacked New York and Washington, D.C.  Ever since the Brotherhood has waged a stealthy “civilization jihad” contributing to the election of New York's jihadist-Marxist mayor and our capital will have a pro-jihad Marxist one next year.  The Brotherhood expects more wins this week.  On 9/11, there were twelve-hundred Muslim mosques in America. Now, the Brotherhood claims 4,000. Tonight, McKinney's city council will vote on whether to add a mega-mosque to the 300-plus “Islamic centers” now in Texas alone. A “Red-Green axis” candidate like Zohran Mamdani is expected to win today the Democratic nomination to be Michigan's next U.S. Senator. And tomorrow a key Massachusetts House committee will consider a sharia-supremacist bill that would institutionalize preferential treatment for Muslims there.  Wonder what America will look like 25 years from now? President Trump announced yesterday that a devastating attack planned for Iran was called off at the request of “the allies” in the Middle East, evidently because they claim another “deal” to address the mullahs' pursuit of nuclear weapons and control of the Strait of Hormuz is now at hand. The question occurs, are the nations involved actually our allies and what is motivating them? Of particular concern are Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan.  All three are nations are committed to the worldwide imposition of Islam's political-military-legal strategy for conquest known as sharia. So are the Iranian Shiite ayatollahs. So is the terrorist group Hamas, of whom they all are supportive. Consequently, the diplomatic “help” we are getting from such “allies” – whether in saving Iran's regime or brokering a fraught Gaza deal – advances the sharia-supremacists' agenda, but not our vital interests.  This is Frank Gaffney.

So-called “frontier” artificial intelligence is going rogue. Think of it as FrankenAI.  Anthropic and OpenAI have both reported in recent days that their AI agents have autonomously attacked other organizations, apparently without authorization from humans or prior notice.  The trouble is this is assuredly but a small foretaste of what is being unleashed.  Leaders in the industry like Elon Musk have been warning for some time that the pell-mell pursuit of ever more powerful AI technology risks creating instruments for the destruction of civilization.  The notion that we must do so lest we “lose the race” with Communist China, sets up a no-win nightmare: Either we create doomsday AI or they do, with the help of American big tech.  We better hit “pause” on both our own headlong rush to create FrankenAI and stop enabling the CCP's.   This is Frank Gaffney.

The Constitution of the United States is by its own Article VI the “supreme law of the land.” Yet, adherents to Islam's political-military-legal strategy for conquest known as sharia are increasingly insisting that we accommodate their demands for it to be practiced here. Doing so, however, would have the effect of directly undermining our Constitution and its preeminent status. Over time, the inevitable result will be to supplant the very foundation of our Republic and replace the God-given freedoms it guarantees with totalitarianism. A profound question occurs – and must now be addressed: If sharia-adherent individuals seek elective office or are voted into such positions, how can they honestly swear to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic? The simple truth is that they can't. They should be deemed ineligible to serve, and prevented from doing so. This is Frank Gaffney.

Dr. Anthony Fauci will be interrogated today by Senator Rand Paul and colleagues regarding the provenance of the COVID-19 virus and his role in its deadly rampage. The Senator recently disseminated what he describes as the personal diaries of the former medical uber-bureaucrat who was lionized by millions for his purported heroic role in protecting the nation against that disease. The contents include incriminating evidence that “Fauci lied. People died.” This will not be news to those who followed the extraordinary work of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Naomi Wolf and the team of volunteers who mined Pfizer's damning internal documents. Ditto the Team B III book entitled China is at War with America which clearly established COVID was a Chinese bioweapon, deliberately sent here to kill Americans.  Let Tony Fauci's long-overdue trial at least in the court of public opinion begin. Western Journal reports that seven Catholic churches in Minnesota are effectively going out of business, ending Sunday masses due to “declining attendance and a lack of priests.”  It is predictable what will happen next. At least some of those churches will be purchased by Muslims and converted into mosques. Whether there are prospective congregants or not, sharia-supremacists in that state, and others across the country, are practicing the “build it and they will come” model of “settlement” in America. In accordance with the Muslim Brotherhood's playbook known as The Explanatory Memorandum, Islamic “societies,” “centers” and “mosques” are part of a “civilization jihad” aimed at “destroying Western civilization from within, by the hands [of the unbelievers] and believers.”  We must stop enabling the build-out of sharia's critical infrastructure of jihad. Until Saturday, Charles “Sam” Faddis was, in my estimation, America's greatest living patriot. Tragically, he has just joined the pantheon of previous generations who contributed greatly to making – and keeping – this country the land of the free and the home of the brave. Sam's passing after a very short illness, is a tragic loss on so many levels.  He served in uniform and without one undercover for the CIA.  In his post-government years, Sam continued to serve, notably lately through his intrepid and fearless reporting at AND Magazine, speeches and countless appearances on programs like “War Room” and “Securing America.”  He pulled no punches and lit the way for constructive-course corrections on national security policy, election integrity and accountability for those responsible for often treacherous deviations. Harry Truman's presidency became for millions of Americans the answer to the question “Who lost China?” On his watch, enemies foreign and domestic cut off U.S. support for a friendly Chinese government, enabling Mao Zedong's murderous take-over.  Today, the answer to “Who lost South Korea?” may be Donald Trump unless he intervenes swiftly.  After all, on his watch, a Communist there named Lee Jae Myung stole an election and is tyrannically transforming the country domestically and aligning it with our Chinese and North Korean enemies.  Former Trump Ambassador Morse Tan has bravely opposed Lee's election fraud and freedom-wrecking operation. He's stuck in South Korea and under indictment for defaming the tyrant. Before worse happens to Amb. Tan, the people of South Korea and our vital interests there, President Trump must forcefully engage directly with Lee Jae-Myung. There's not a moment to lose. This is Frank Gaffney.

There would never be a good time to lose as keen and courageous a Middle East hand as Shoshana Bryen. But this is a particularly bad moment, when America desperately needs deeply knowledgeable and well-grounded experts on that region's troubled history, dynamics and often tragic missteps.  Unfailingly, this late and longtime Senior Director of the Jewish Policy Center would address with clarity the vexing intersection of U.S. interests, challenges to Israel's survival and the treachery of so-called Mideast allies like Qatar, Turkey and Pakistan. She would do so calmly, creatively and with a sort of gallow's humor, speaking truth to power, whether solicited or not.  Despite long-running health challenges, Shoshana served as a singular mentor, inspiration and resource for generations of legislators and other senior officials, academics and influential patriots. She will long and lovingly be remembered and deeply missed. This is Frank Gaffney.  

Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz has put into sharp relief both the costs of modern war in the age of proliferating drones and a fundamental principle dating to the beginning of our Republic. From the get-go, Americans have fought and died defending freedom of navigation imperiled by British warships and Barbary pirates seizing our vessels and their crews. Now, Iran's allies in Yemen and China are also threatening that principle in the Red Sea's Bab-el-Mandeb and in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea, respectively.  Much rides on whether we'll demonstrate the ability to restore deterrence of such modern day piracy, or as some on Capitol Hill are demanding, cut and run. There will be few places to run – or sail – to if freedom of navigation is no longer exercised by us and our friends. This is Frank Gaffney.

Each day offers new examples of America's pell-mell rush to join Western European nations in surrendering to Islam's stealthy conquest: Democratic primaries across the country are nominating sharia-supremacists or Marxist-jihadists like Zohran Mamdani, largely thanks to Muslim bloc-voting. Churches that are not mysteriously catching fire are being bought and transformed into mosques. Farms and other properties are turning into Muslim-only communities – and, predictably, future no-go zones – like the notorious EPIC City in Texas.  Now, Democratic legislators in Massachusetts want to establish a permanent “Government Islam Commission” to promote Muslims for state jobs and otherwise advance their sharia-adherent agenda.  Unsurprisingly, such serial accommodations are emboldening the jihadists here, causing them to espouse ever more openly America's submission to sharia. Last night, the President of the United States addressed the nation to disclose previously classified evidence of enemies, both foreign and domestic, colluding to sabotage the 2020 presidential election.  Particularly egregious is the Chinese Communist Party's unrestricted electoral warfare aimed at terminating Mr. Trump's presidency and replacing him with Joe Biden, who has accurately been described as a “controlled asset” of the CCP.  Even more shocking are the findings of multiple official investigations that revealed intelligence and law enforcement agencies' complicity in concealing such evidence from the Commander-in-Chief and his senior subordinates with a need-to-know of these enemy attacks and cover-ups.  President Trump deserves great credit for insisting that this information be made available to the American people and their elected representatives while there is still time to take corrective action before the November mid-term elections.  Make it so.  This is Frank Gaffney.

Yesterday, President Trump spoke at a defense and innovation summit in Pennsylvania about the need for both, and his commitment to reshoring and rebuilding the nation's industrial base.  Unfortunately, events half-a-world-away are underscoring the necessity, as one summit participant put it, “to supercharge the supply chains” so as to accelerate the translation of defense innovation into production into deployed weapon systems. Not only are we rapidly exhausting our dwindling supply of advanced weapons in Iran. It's no coincidence, comrade, that Communist China is simultaneously flooding the Western Pacific with warships, coast guard vessels, maritime militia and armed fishing boats as it asserts ownership of international waters and puts in place the makings of a blockade or quarantine of Taiwan. To paraphrase the money quote from Jaws: We're going to need a bigger boat – and lots of them – and right quick. This is Frank Gaffney.

Morse Tan is a freedom-fighter who served as ambassador-at-large for Global Criminal Justice during the first Trump administration. Today, he is effectively a political prisoner in South Korea.  Amb. Tan has long spoken truth to power. In particular, he has warned about the lengths to which the Republic of Korea's radical leftists have subverted freedom and elections. He's even courageously done so in South Korea.  Now that the hard Left is fully in power in Seoul under a Communist named Lee Jae-myung, the Ambassador has been prevented from leaving South Korea for over five weeks. That is outrageous. When Lee visited Washington last year, President Trump declined to criticize him over myriad, serious concerns about his guest's decades of anti-American activism. This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.  Unbeknownst to too many Americans, there are three totalitarian forces seeking to take down the United States so as to install globally some new ruling regime.  To his credit, President Trump has lately been lighting up the Communists in our midst.  The Congressional Sharia-Free America Caucus is among those warning about the jihadists aggressively operating in this country.  And now Secretary of State Marco Rubio has robustly taken on the globalist elites using transnational organizations like the International Criminal Court to create a world government at the expense of U.S. sovereignty.  These three forces have different end-states in mind and will, inevitably, fight each other over who will ultimately prevail. But, for the moment, they are collaborating to take down the only real impediment to their collective ambitions: the USA. The sudden death of Senator Lindsey Graham tectonically shifts our national security firmament. Whether one agreed with his priorities or not, he indisputably filled a unique position in the Senate and the country for which there is no obvious replacement. Notably, he was a tireless champion of Ukraine, Israel and liberating Iran.  Sen. Graham died right after his tenth trip to Kyiv, living to see  the Ukrainians winning the war there – unless Putin goes nuclear. At a time of rampant hostility towards Israel, Lindsey correctly recognized her as a key ally fighting our enemies and warranting our support – especially with respect to “finishing the job” by helping accomplish real regime change in Tehran. Sen. Graham will be most missed, though, in his role as “Trump whisperer,” a trusted confident of the President surrounded by others with sharply differing views.  R.I.P. President Trump appropriately responded militarily this week to attacks by the Iranian regime on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The episode underscores, however, what is certain to be repeated by our enemies in Tehran if they remain in power. The reason is only partly because Iran's jihadists view a “humiliation ritual” as their strongest weapon for winning by defeating President Trump politically in the looming November midterms. Another impetus is Iran's Chinese puppet-master, Xi Jinping, wants the Mideast war to continue as it distracts America from his incremental, but intensifying, efforts to take Taiwan. The latest step tees up a quarantine or blockade as PRC Coast Guard vessels have begun conducting “law enforcement operations” in so-called “Chinese coastal waters” east of the island. We must finish the job in Iran now, and prepare urgently for the next one in the Pacific. This is Frank Gaffney.

Yesterday, President Trump repeatedly declared that “There is something wrong” with the leaders of Iran. He's absolutely right, fundamentally, because the current crop – like all their predecessors – are sharia-supremacists.  As such, they will do everything possible to destroy unbelievers, including fellow Muslims they consider to be apostates and certainly us. To that end, they'll employ every instrument from deception to political subversion to violent jihad. The same is true of Ahmed al-Sharaa, the erstwhile al Qaeda commander who is now, with the backing of the sharia-supremacist regimes in Turkey and Qatar, the president of Syria.  Tragically, Mr. Trump is being blindsided by such false friends and even some of his own subordinates to construe Sharaa-tied jihadist attacks on Christians, Druze and other minorities as laudable “stabilization” of that long-suffering country. Today, Donald Trump declared that, as far as he is concerned, the so-called “ceasefire” with Iran is “over.” What is really noteworthy is that the President's explanation for why negotiations are now “a waste of time” effectively precludes pursuing them further. Having previously applauded Iran's current leaders, Mr. Trump just excoriated them as “liars,” “scum,” “cuckoo” and “vicious” “violent” and “sick” people. It would seem to be an irreversible breaking point that he has concluded, “There is something wrong with them.”  There is, indeed. But, while all of his disparaging characterizations are valid, what is, at its core, unalterably “wrong” with the Iranian government is that it remains sharia-supremacist and intent on destroying our country in the pursuit of a global Islamic caliphate.  Mr. President, It's past time to spare us all further threats from such dangerous enemies. Today, a country that shouldn't actually be in NATO will be hosting its summit. After all, under Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey has been a leading force on behalf of the “Red-Green axis” – the alliance between Communists and sharia-supremacists whose object is destroying Western civilization.  That goal has been enormously advanced by Erdogan's relentless efforts to insert ever-larger numbers of unassimilable Turkish and other Muslim immigrants in Europe. He has established Turkey as China's beachhead in the Middle East and Europe's soft southern underbelly. And Erdogan aspires to recreate the Ottoman Empire with him as its ruling caliph. The magnitude of Erdogan's unreliability as an ally was evident in President Trump's comment last week that Turkey was a “prime candidate to go into the war with Iran – maybe on the Iran side.” With “friends” like Erdogan….  This is Frank Gaffney.

Millions of Iranians have taken to the streets of Tehran for the funeral of the country's longtime dictator, Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Their aspiration is revenge, expressed by mass chants of “Death to America. Death to Israel.” Unfortunately, despite abundant evidence that the mullahs are not trustworthy parties to ongoing negotiations, let alone willing to conclude a genuine and enduring peace, the U.S. government is continuing to talk and, worse yet, make concessions. The inevitable result of such accommodations is to buy time for our enemies in Iran to rearm, regroup and resume hostilities at a time of their choosing.  Worse yet, jihadists worldwide and their friends are emboldened by the extent to which the government in Tehran has not only survived, but is getting away with treating America and Israel with contempt.  We allow that perception to persist at our peril. The celebration is underway of America's Revolution – which, with God's grace brought the world the most free, the most powerful and the most economically successful nation ever. Unfortunately, the prospects for the next 250 years are being marred by an anti-American counter-revolution increasingly in evidence across the country.  Communists, doing business as “Democratic Socialists,” and sharia-supremacists are seeking to use elections to supplant the Constitution and destroy our Republic founded upon it. Yesterday, the satirical website Babylon Bee posted a brilliant  internet meme. It featured a camouflage-uniformed man armed with a rocket-propelled grenade pensively sitting in a chair. The caption reads, “Terrorist torn between going on violent jihad or getting elected as a Democratic senator.”  Unfortunately, that's no joke. Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson famously observed that “The Constitution is not a suicide pact.” With yesterday's ruling concerning so-called “birthright citizenship,” a majority of his successors on today's Court decided that it actually is. They declared the 14th Amendment makes absolutely everyone born here a citizen. They did so knowing that's a formula for more illegal immigration to create “anchor babies,” giving extended families a foot in our nation's proverbial “door.”  Worse yet, Peter Schweizer's excellent book, Invisible Coup, put the Supremes on notice that Chinese men are exploiting the 14th Amendment to spawn perhaps as many as a million children birthed here by American women, but then removed, raised and indoctrinated entirely in China. They will have the vote upon turning 18, and unlimited access to this country before and after.  What could possibly go wrong? National suicide.   This is Frank Gaffney.

There's a powerful new force in American politics. The cause of freedom was advanced last week in Texas. In the course of five exhausting days of public testimony, line-by-line deliberations and voting, that state's top educational board approved pro-American, pro-freedom required reading lists, curriculums and standards.  In what can only be described as non-kinetic trench warfare, a majority of the Texas State Board of Education, led by two of its most valiant patriots, Julie Pickren and Brandon Hall,   worked through hundreds of amendments offered by Democratic members that would have restored cultural Marxist and sharia-supremacist indoctrination in that state – and some twenty others whose schools track with Texan textbooks. The Red-Green axis is particularly incensed that the SBOE has directed the inclusion of the Bible in public pedagogy for the first time since the 1960s. Team USA lost to Turkey yesterday in the World Cup. Fortunately, it will nonetheless be able to advance in the competition. Another loss to Turkey is in prospect – one that may not have a happy outcome. President Trump says he may bring a “big gift” to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the host of NATO's upcoming summit in Ankara. He reportedly has in mind selling the Turks America's front-line stealth fighter, the F-35.                                                     Transferring such technology to a nation run by a sharia-supremacist regime deeply tied to Communist China is a formula for compromising sensitive technology and intelligence capabilities. It's all the more alarming given Mr. Trump's disclosure that Turkey was a “prime candidate to go into the war with Iran – maybe on the Iran side.” The truth is Turkey is an ally no more, and must be treated accordingly. A new force is evident in electoral politics in America. It's the Red-Green axis and its implications for the country are ominous.  The axis is personified by Zorhan Mamdani, who won the New York City mayor's race last year.  Of particular concern in this year's election cycle are the combined efforts of Democratic Socialists of America and Muslim Brotherhood front groups putting boots on the ground, bloc-voting and bringing financial and political muscle to bear.  The result has been the election of radical leftists, some of whom are sharia-supremacist Muslims, as the Democratic nominees in various races across the country, including ones that effectively assure they will win in November. A new music video “They Knew” condemns decades of rape and enslavement of over a quarter-million British girls by Pakistani Muslim gangs with the knowledge and complicity of British authorities.  Such “rape jihad” is not limited to the United Kingdom. Countries across Europe have also seen those who have made Islam's migratory “hijra” emulating their “perfect man,” the prophet Mohammed, ravaging host countries' women in record numbers. Another fight for the future of Texas looms this afternoon. The Board of Education of the Ft. Worth independent school district will be petulantly told it must entrust a 2,000 student high-school to a problematic principal.  At issue is not whether a sharia-adherent Muslim named Shayma Alzubi has the right to espouse Palestinian calls for genocide of Jews with the phrase “from the river to the sea.” Or endorse the subversion of the Marxist Black Live Matters movement. Or dissemble about the seditious, totalitarian Islamic strategy for conquest known as sharia. It is simply whether a person with such views should have a leading role in teaching American kids. And ultimately, the issue is whether, since the answer is obviously “No,” similarly minded individuals in a position to indoctrinate our children should also be precluded from doing so.
