One minute of national security with Frank Gaffney
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller just declared, Focused righteous anger directed for a just cause is one of the most important agents of change in human history. We are going to channel all of the anger we have over the organized campaign that led to Charlie Kirk's assassination to uproot and dismantle these leftist terrorist networks, Unfortunately, yesterday's Present Danger China.org webinar revealed that violence in this country is being promoted not only by left-wing groups enabled by the likes of alleged racketeers George and Alex Soros. Their numbers and lethality are surging thanks to Islamic supremacists and the foreign enablers of the Red-Green Axis's communist and jihadist elements. Worse, they are reported collectively to be good to go violent. It appears that focused, righteous anger needs to be brought to bear immediately for the just cause of saving our country.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. I had the privilege last night of being among thousands of friends, associates and admirers of Charlie Kirk who gathered for a Kennedy Center prayer vigil to remember and revere the man and his legacy. I encourage every American to view its video recording. There are now two urgent action items. First, as his widow, Erika, pledged in an absolutely extraordinary eulogy, Turning Point USA must be made even more formidable. Fortunately, we were told last night requests for new TPUSA campus chapters exceed thirty thousand. Second, President Trump has promised to “find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it.” He's promised to “look into [George] Soros, because I think it's a RICO case against him and other people.” Let's roll. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Charles “Sam” Faddis served for two decades as a covert operative – a spy – for the Central Intelligence Agency, much of it confronting enemies waging jihad or “holy war” to impose Islam's toxic Sharia code worldwide. Among the most dangerous of such adherents are Shiite Muslims known as “12ers.” They want to cause the apocalypse to prompt a messiah to emerge from a well in Iran where he has resided for over a thousand years to bring about the Golden Age of Islam. In Sam's last job at the CIA, he was responsible for protecting us against Weapons of Mass Destruction terrorism. In an interview this week, we discussed the prospect of having an avowed 12er like Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani be ultimately responsible for the security of New York City. Obviously, that should be disqualifying and must not happen. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. The political assassination of Charlie Kirk – one of America's most beloved, influential and courageous thought-leaders – is an abomination. So far, it is unclear who was responsible for silencing this brilliant man, or what effect Charlie's murder will have on the country he loved so profoundly and the young people he inspired and empowered so impactfully. What is clear is that we can no longer ignore the international and increasingly the domestic threats about which he warned relentlessly. In particular, as we mark twenty-four years to the day when nineteen men called to jihad by Islam's Sharia doctrine inflicted unprecedented mass destruction on our country, we must heed Charlie's admonitions that its adherents are here – and determined to achieve that goal and the demise of Judeo-Christian civilization, more generally. We must honor our friend, Charlie Kirk, by carrying on his vital work. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Israel's attacks on Hamas safe-havens in Qatar are the latest indication that she is determined to “finish the job” in Gaza. President Trump has repeatedly urged the Israeli government to do just that – and should affirm such support again at this juncture. To date, however, Mr. Trump has expressed regret that the strike occurred and promised it would not be repeated. That should only be the case if Qatar stops hosting and abetting Hamas – the sort of material support for international jihadism that makes it the world's most generous state-sponsor of terrorism. If Qatar expelled and otherwise cut off Hamas, instead of – as a purported “mediator,” effectively enabling its survival – the only acceptable outcome in Gaza could be quickly achieved: Namely truly finishing the job by securing Hamas' unconditional surrender, freeing all remaining Israeli hostages, and incarceration by Israel. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. In a nomination hearing last week, Riley Barnes cited former Senator and Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “We are a nation founded on a powerful principle…that all men are created equal, because our rights come from God our Creator – not from our laws, not from our governments.” Democratic Senator Tim Kaine – evidently unaware that this principle was explicitly enshrined in the Declaration of Independence – found that statement “extremely troubling.” He declared, “The notion that rights don't come from laws and don't come from the government, but come from the Creator — that's what the Iranian government believes.” Yesterday, President Trump sharply repudiated Kaine, saying he “should be ashamed of himself.” He vowed, “Under the Trump administration, we're defending our rights and restoring our identity as a nation under God. We are one nation under God and we always will be.” Amen. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. President Trump has restored the Defense Department's name to the Department of War. Largely unnoted in the reporting on the rebrand is the fact that we are at war – and it could go fully kinetic at any time. That's the conclusion of a riveting webinar conducted last week by our Committee on the Present Danger: China to document the Chinese Communists' long-running, “unrestricted” and even declared “People's War” against our country. This PresentDangerChina.org webinar revealed the extent to which Xi Jinping's own preparations for a shooting war are being accompanied by those of Russia, North Korea and Iran, whose leaders were in Beijing last week and may well have discussed joint action. America needs not just a Department of War but a war-footing if we are to counter – and, ultimately prevail in – World War Xi. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Big Pharma sure is furious with Robert Kennedy, Jr. The pharmaceutical industry wants him terminated as Health and Human Services Secretary. That was the unmistakable takeaway from Bobby's hours-long grilling yesterday before the Senate Finance Committee. He was relentlessly attacked by Democratic members for his insistence that the impact of the COVID and other vaccines on public health must be scientifically scrutinized. One of them, Vermont's Marxist Senator Bernie Sanders, actually copped to Secretary Kennedy's observation in response that such critics were recipients of immense campaign contributions from Pharma, admitting that every Senator takes money from the industry. That's also true of the media, academia and key government agencies. Politicians will discover their constituents increasingly support Bobby Kennedy, not Big Pharma. President Trump rightly wants the facts out about vaccine safety, and so do the American people. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Chinese dictator Xi Jinping just hosted leaders of the world's most dangerous regimes against the backdrop of a parade through Tiananmen Square testifying to the PRC's unprecedented military build-up. President Trump declared on social media that Xi, Russia's Vladimir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un are “conspiring against the United States.” There are ominous indicators of what such a conspiracy might entail. For one thing, past pilgrimages to Beijing by Putin, Israel's enemies and Venezuela's Nicholas Maduro have resulted in actual, or promised, acts of “strategic arson.” And all of these co-conspirators appear to be preparing for more such aggression by mobilizing and/or upgunning forces, and in the case of Russia, North Korea and some Iranian proxies engaging in actual attacks. An important webinar tomorrow afternoon will examine what the Beijing Bloc may do next. Join us at PresentDangerChina.org. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. President Trump took to social media yesterday to respond to the offensively false narrative pushed out by Xi Jinping and his friends in the emerging “Beijing Bloc” about the Chinese Communist Party's pivotal role in defeating Imperial Japan. In fact, while the U.S. military decisively helped the people of China and their nationalist government fight the Japanese at tremendous cost during World War II, the CCP was almost completely AWOL. Mr. Trump also correctly observed that Xi was using meetings with his despotic Russian and North Korean counterparts to “conspire” against the United States. The question is: Will that conspiracy result in more of the “strategic arson” the Chinese dictator and his allies have perpetrated to date in Ukraine and the Mideast – presumably next in Asia? We're on notice that Xi's regime is our enemy. It must be treated as such. This is Frank Gaffney.
For two overarching reasons, no good can come of the summit Communist China convened last weekend. First, there's a discernable pattern of what happens when Chinese dictator Xi Jinping entertains his counterparts from dangerous regimes. I call it “strategic arson.” Second, in part due to the resulting conflagrations, Xi, Russia's Vladimir Putin and the Iranian mullahs are in trouble. Together with disastrous economic policies and/or repression at home, there are growing pressures from within and without for regime changes. Tyrants often respond to such conditions by lashing out, manufacturing foreign crises to justify intensified control at home. Xi Jinping is talking up “global governance,” a euphemism for establishing a world order run by him and his friends in “Beijing's bloc.” This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. The White House announced yesterday that President Trump is not proposing to issue six hundred thousand student visas to Chinese nationals. That's the good news. The bad news is that the Trump administration will instead simply maintain the current number of such PRC “students” at large in this country. That amounts to roughly a quarter million of them – all of whom the Chinese Communists can weaponize, compelling them to steal our intellectual property and other secrets, and/or potentially engage in devastating physical attacks, particularly collectively. Consequently, President Trump needs to restore the policy that Secretary of State Marco Rubio unveiled just three months ago, declaring: “The U.S. State Department will work with the Department of Homeland Security to aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields.” Just do it This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Communist China is in trouble. The cumulative effect of various economic, environmental and demographic problems precipitated by decades of Chinese Communist Party misrule is translating into acute political turmoil. There is growing speculation that dictator Xi Jinping's grip on absolute power is imperiled. That crisis presents President Trump with a momentous choice: Come to the CCP's rescue, as did his predecessors Richard Nixon, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Or, like Ronald Reagan, help liberate people enslaved and murdered by a regime that mortally threatens us. Mr. Trump's announcement that he'll admit six hundred thousand PRC students – reportedly a priority of, and favor to, Xi – suggests he's willing to prop up the CCP. Having what could translate into a million fighting-age Chinese nationals in the United States, however, is an obvious threat to our country, and the wrong choice regarding China. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Cracker Barrel has jettisoned a corporate reboot abandoning its traditional extolling of Americana after overwhelming repudiation by consumers and shareholders. President Trump needs to make a similar reversal concerning a vastly more problematic departure from his “America First” brand. Mr. Trump says he'll give six-hundred thousand Chinese nationals student visas. If added to the two hundred and seventy thousand already in the U.S. and a hundred thousand other, military-age men believed to be PRC soldiers let in by Joe Biden, we'd have roughly a million foreigners obliged by their country's law to put China first. That invites disaster. The CCP makes no secret of its determination to destroy this country and has pursued for decades “unrestricted warfare” to that end. Mr. Trump needs to reverse course to impede such threats by removing, not reinforcing, potential enemies inside America. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. As young people head to school across America, President Trump announced they are going to have company from Communist China – a lot of company. He declared yesterday that he will admit six-hundred thousand Chinese students to help us “get along with China.” Mr. Trump didn't elaborate on the timing of the arrival of all those PRC nationals – many of whom are members of the Chinese Communist Party and all of whom are obliged to engage in espionage, intellectual property theft or sabotage if ordered to do so by the CCP. Whenever these dual-use students arrive, they'll join perhaps one-hundred thousand alleged Chinese soldiers Joe Biden let in. Recall the damage done to our country by nineteen amateurs on 9/11 and it's clear we cannot afford to have an actual army of professionals and their potential student interns here from China. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. President Trump has a potentially fraught meeting today with his new South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae Myung. While the focus will be on trade relations, there will be an ominous elephant in the room: Lee is deeply hostile to the United States and dangerously aligned with our enemies, Communist China and North Korea. As my colleague, retired Marine Colonel Grant Newsham, observed recently in Asia Times, Lee has “referred to American troops in South Korea as ‘occupiers' and said China should do what it wants to Taiwan.” It is hard to overstate the strategic peril associated with the “fundamental transformation” of a key American ally now in prospect. The question is: Will Mr. Trump come to grips with Lee's longstanding hostility or try to paper it over in the interest of making “progress” on trade? Much will be riding on the answer. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. In America, there's a growing awareness of and concern about Islam's totalitarian code known as Sharia. Its practitioners are increasingly on the march around the world and in this country. For example, in Britain, Sharia-condoned gangs of immigrants are estimated to have raped a million native girls. In Nigeria, Syria, and elsewhere, Christians are being attacked, murdered and driven out by Sharia-supremacists. And a court in Austria just condoned the use of Sharia to settle commercial disputes. Here in Texas, jihadism-aligned Muslims are establishing incipient Sharia-adherent communities. Un-permitted Islamic praying increasingly takes over public spaces. And in New York and elsewhere, Sharia's followers are joining forces with the radical left to gain elective office. Sharia is not a constitutionally protected religion, but an instrument of political warfare and control aimed at overthrowing governments and societies like ours. It must be opposed, not accommodated. This is Frank Gaffney.
The untimely death of the governor of America's westernmost territory has called attention to inroads being made there by our mortal enemy, the Chinese Communist Party. China's visa-free access to the islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, its gambling operations there awash with billions of dollars and its nationals' illegal access to nearby Guam are among the reasons the late Gov. Arnold Palacios pleaded for investigations, audits and other help from a largely indifferent Washington, thousands of miles away. Unfortunately, as the Daily Signal recently reported, a man who facilitated such ominous Chinese activities in CNMI is now the top official in DC responsible for the territory and federal funds flowing there. Interior Department Deputy Assistant Secretary Angel Demapan should be under investigation, not in a position to help the CCP further penetrate – and endanger – our Western frontier. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Jimmy Lai is one of the most heroic men in the world today. As a penniless youth in 1961, he fled Communist China to the British colony of Hong Kong, where he became a wildly successful entrepreneur and billionaire. Jimmy courageously used his media empire and personal resources to support opposition to China's Communist Party and persisted in doing so even after Great Britain surrendered the city and the CCP inexorably crushed freedom there. Today, after five years in prison, most of it spent in solitary confinement, Jimmy Lai is standing trial for alleged national security crimes. His conviction is inevitable. There must be real costs to Communist China for its mistreatment of this extraordinary hero – and all those in Hong Kong and the mainland for whose freedom he has fought for so long and at such immense personal expense. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. President Trump is manfully working to put out the fire that has engulfed Ukraine ever since Russian dictator Vladimir Putin invaded it in February 2022. He is trying to negotiate not simply to contain the still-raging flames, but to prevent permanently a wider conflagration. But seemingly entirely absent from the discussions is: What about the arsonist? The man who probably instigated, clearly greenlighted and certainly is enabling the war in Ukraine is China's tyrant, Xi Jinping. His strategic arson – first there and subsequently in the Middle East – has principally benefited the Chinese Communist Party with cheap oil, arms sales and chaos that has distracted and depleted the chief firefighter, the United States. Currently, the CCP's in the process of sparking a new conflict with the Philippines. If we fail to stop the arsonists, we'll likely be engulfed by World War Xi. This is Frank Gaffney.
Everyone knows someone was missing at President Trump's meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin last week. Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky will get his chance this afternoon to address with Mr. Trump the fate of his country, accompanied by a posse of influential European allies. There was, however, another man absent from the Anchorage summit: China's Communist emperor, Xi Jinping. He apparently greenlit Russia's invasion and certainly has enabled its ongoing destruction of much of Ukraine. China expert Gordon Chang believes that President Trump is refraining from holding Xi accountable for his various hostile actions lest it destabilize his regime and imperil Chinese Communist Party rule. That is a formula for allowing the CCP to get away with still more murder – literally. The truth is that there will be no peace in Ukraine, let alone the Pacific, as long as it's the case. This is Frank Gaffney.
Nine years ago today, Donald Trump gave one of his most important speeches ever. In Youngstown, the then-Republican nominee for president powerfully repudiated the appeasement of jihadists long pursued by his opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump put forth, instead, a comprehensive and realistic of set of policy initiatives rooted in a central proposition: We are confronting not an assortment of “terrorists” irrationally, if not inexplicably, seeking kill us. Rather, America especially is being targeted by adherents to an ideology at the core of “radical Islam.” Its proper name is Sharia. And Candidate Trump promised to keep more of them from coming here and, most importantly, to “stripping out and removing one by one [their] support networks…in this county.” That must be done now, starting with the designation of such networks' mothership, the Muslim Brotherhood, as a terrorist organization. This is Frank Gaffney.
Fox News star Maria Bartiromo rolled out yesterday another pathbreaking special on the Chinese Communist Party's unrestricted warfare against America. This one features the Commander of U.S. Space Force, a developer of cutting-edge military technology and other experts assessing the PRC's ominous determination to beat us to the moon – and to use a base there to control access to it and the “cis-lunar” space in between and project power even here on earth. A key contributor to the show is our colleague, Roger Robinson, who described in a powerful interview with Maria yesterday that – as with myriad other Chinese military programs – the CCP's weaponization of space is being enabled, in part, by unwitting U.S. investors. Mr. Robinson will be unveiling today a report detailing the extent, and dire implications, of this aspect of our insane underwriting of the enemy. That must stop. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was asked yesterday by talk radio host Sid Rosenberg, “Why wouldn't you guys designate the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR?” He responded, “All of that is in the works. Obviously, there are different branches of the Muslim Brotherhood, so you'd have to designate each one of them.” Those who have enabled that Sharia-supremacist – and therefore terrorism-tied – group and its fronts like the Council on American-Islamic Relations to metastasize in this country will surely mobilize to prevent their designations as such. Qatar, Turkey and jihadist organizations they support will use their considerable influence and operatives to protect the Brothers. Still, nine years ago this week, then-presidential candidate Donald Trump pledged that “the support networks for Radical Islam in this country will be stripped out and removed one by one.” That's a promise made that must be kept now. This is Frank Gaffney.
Concerns are growing that the galloping advance of artificial intelligence will imperil our jobs, freedoms and country. I call the phenomenon “FrankenAI,” and even some in the industry worry it's becoming a man-made monster. We're told the unregulated pursuit of AI is required to compete with Communist China or we'll be permanently dominated – militarily and economically. Some experts are warning, however, that by allowing China to buy AI-useful Nvidia H20 chips – and then profit from the sales, the Trump administration will help it beat us. While others contend those chips are widely available, and we'll stay ahead by selling them, we seem to be facing a lose-lose proposition: Facilitating Chinese AI dominance – even as we pursue technologies that may make us more like Communist China – appears to be a formula for FrankenAI, at their hands or ours. This is Frank Gaffney.
If you are ever tempted to think that one person can't make a difference, think again. My colleague Cleo Paskal exemplifies what a single individual can do with determined and sustained effort. Cleo has long warned that the Chinese Communist Party is using insidious political warfare to undo hard-won and extremely costly World War II victories that liberated strategic Pacific islands west of Hawaii from the control of another totalitarian regime, imperial Japan. With help from Steve Bannon and other amplifiers, Clare Paskal is now getting high-level and popular attention, particularly with her argument that U.S. territories like Guam and the Northern Marianas constitute America's western border. Like the other frontiers President Trump has done so much to secure, it too must be protected from our most formidable enemy, ever: the CCP. With a Pacific summit looming, it's time for action, action, action. This is Frank Gaffney.
HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. announced this week that his department would cut $500 million in research into mRNA vaccines. Big Pharma and its enablers are furious. Many of the rest of us, however, are relieved that we may thus be spared FrankenJabs like the COVID-19 vaccine that appears to have been a biological weapon – rather than actual protection from that disease, which surely was one. A new movie called “The Unrestricted War” dramatizes the Chinese Communist Party's role in producing COVID in its biowarfare lab in Wuhan, China. An important webinar today will examine the film's insights with its creators and leading star – and discuss whether China's biological warfare program has been tasked with depopulating this country and the possibility that mRNA technology Tony Fauci shared with it is making vaccines lethal, too. Join us at PresentDangerChina.org. This is Frank Gaffney.
The transformative nature of Donald Trump's second presidency is particularly evident in his efforts to reshape U.S. trade policy. He's employed tariffs to rebalance commercial relationships that have long benefited other nations to our great detriment. Yesterday, Apple CEO Tim Cook used a White House appearance to commit to invest $600 billion to manufacture its products in this country. His words evinced a profound, and deeply inspiring, tariff-induced sea-change in corporate attitudes: “We're going to keep making investments right here in America. And we're going to keep hiring in America. And we're going to keep building technologies at the heart of our products right here in America because we're a proud American company and we believe deeply in the promise of this great nation….Thank you President Trump for…putting American innovation and American jobs front and center.” Amen. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. The Chinese Communist Party is preparing for the invasion of Taiwan and other violent acts in the Pacific, and possibly here. Incredibly, Wall Street continues enabling such behavior by underwriting the CCP military's unprecedented build-up. Simultaneously, our own defense industry and armed forces are insanely reliant on CCP's sources of rare earth minerals and components. A new Government Accountability Office analysis found that, “These suppliers may cut off U.S. access to critical materials or provide ‘back doors' in their technology that serve as intelligence pathways.” It is unconscionable that such dependencies – and the associated, potentially catastrophic vulnerabilities – have been allowed in the first place. As with Wall Street's ongoing treachery, the policies and practices that have gotten us into this fix must be formally repudiated and abandoned, and those responsible held accountable. And corrective measures must be made urgent national priorities. This is Frank Gaffney.
The wheels of justice appear to be spinning at a higher RPM these days. Attorney General Pam Bondi reportedly has ordered a federal prosecutor to submit evidence to a grand jury about what the media is branding as “Russiagate.” She's responding to a criminal referral of what the source of such evidence, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, calls a treasonous coup led by former President Barack Obama. Therefore, a more apt descriptor of the epic scandal would be “Obamagate.” It remains to be seen whether a recent Supreme Court ruling shielding presidents from prosecution for official acts while in the White House will protect Donald Trump's predecessor for his alleged involvement in such a conspiracy. Obama's complicity must, however, be investigated, along with many of his senior subordinates' – and prosecuted, at a minimum, in the court of public opinion. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. President Trump's mediator Steve Witkoff and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee made a fact-finding mission to Gaza last week aimed at ascertaining the ground-truth about the effort to feed its people without providing life-support to Hamas. They utterly repudiated the blood libels being told about Israel deliberately, and relentlessly, starving Gazans. Mr. Witkoff said flatly “There is hardship and shortage, but no starvation in Gaza.” And Amb. Huckabee blamed “the total obstruction” by Hamas for any privation that is happening. Another example of efforts to win in the information warfare battlespace what the jihadists cannot on the battlefield is the claim made recently by Professor John Mearsheimer on Tucker Carlson's podcast that Israel is engaged in “genocide” against the Palestinians. That's also demonstrably and shamefully untrue and amounts to aiding and abetting not just Israel's enemies, but ours. This is Frank Gaffney
The admonition that “If you are going through hell, keep going” applies to Israel amidst the blood libel that it is starving the people of Gaza and renewed efforts to secure a ceasefire there. The Israelis must instead finish the job with Hamas. Only by decisively defeating that terrorist regime is there any prospect of an actual end to the Gaza conflict, as opposed to a hudna – Islam's cynical use of temporary pauses to regroup, rearm and then reengage under more favorable circumstances. Even the Arab League has finally called on Hamas to lay down its arms and release the hostages, albeit in the absurd context of having the hapless Palestinian Authority put in charge of a new state of “Palestine.” If Hamas won't surrender for the good of the people it misrules, Israel must make the jihadists do so now. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. This afternoon, an excellent movie the Chinese Communist Party wants no American to see will be screened on Capitol Hill following a panel discussion in which I am proud to participate. The reason the CCP is trying to suppress “The Unrestricted War” quickly emerges: It dramatically depicts the truly horrifying character of that transnational criminal organization, responsible for murdering 100 million of its own citizens – and determined to destroy ours. The suspense-filled plot shows how the Chinese regime precipitated, then covered up – and murderously exploited, the COVID-19 virus, a biological weapon it deliberately unleashed on the world. Especially galling to the Chinese Communists is the fact that among the film's heroes are some who have suffered grievously at their hands – namely, followers of Falun Gong. Every American should see “The Unrestricted War” – then help our country wage and win it. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Next year, we'll celebrate the 250th birthday of a nation founded to ensure there's “no taxation without representation.” Unfortunately, the United Nations is poised to start levying taxes our representatives can't prevent, putting its pursuit of world government on steroids. It begins with the International Maritime Organization imposing costs on shipping producing greenhouse gas emissions. Tens of billions of dollars would thus be generated, redistributing wealth from American and other consumers to feed the UN's climate change slush fund and agenda. This initiative would not only fundamentally transform the UN by ending its reliance on member states' funding, which affords them a measure of control. It will also create a precedent for many more taxes to fund its globalist priorities. The Trump administration has opposed this global tax. It must now impose real sanctions to prevent it from being imposed on us. This is Frank Gaffney.
The claxons are sounding on Wall Street. Finally, analysts are beginning to take seriously the prospect that the U.S. financial sector's longstanding practice of underwriting our mortal enemy, the Chinese Communist Party, is becoming untenable. Praise the Lord. For example, one insider newsletter recently put it this way: “We continue to believe the de-listing of Chinese stocks from U.S. exchanges is increasingly likely as we believe both Republicans and Democrats will push for action. This is because there is no political downside to blocking Chinese firms from accessing U.S. capital while there is significant political risk to being branded as supporting the Chinese military and Chinese competition to U.S. companies.” In fact, for those very reasons, we should see both the relatively small number of Chinese companies listed on our exchanges and the thousands of others being traded there removed forthwith. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Donald Trump takes rightful pride in his record of “Promises made, promises kept.” He delivered on another important pledge with the restoration to the U.S. Air Force of one its most formidable leaders, my colleague Matthew Lohmeier. Lieutenant Colonel Lohmeier's installation last week as that service's Under Secretary not only rights a terrible wrong – namely, Team Biden's termination of his career as an exceptional aviator and rising officer in the new Space Force for publishing a damning indictment of the Marxists' cultural warfare-enabled takedown of the U.S. military. It also puts Matt in a key management position to execute President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's orders to strip out such so-called “Wokeism,” root and branch. Unsurprisingly, keeping that promise is proving hard to do given how deep the Left's insidious rot has penetrated and subverted our armed forces. Let's roll, Matt.
Nearly one hundred years ago, the French government proposed a treaty to ban war. The resulting Kellogg-Briand Pact proved to be an exercise in futility, notably with the outbreak of World War II, history's worst conflict. Next week, the French will sponsor another act of delusional diplomacy at a UN conference in New York to promote a similar non-starter – a State of Palestine. For one thing, no such state exists. It has no territory. It has no government. And, most importantly, if there were such a state, it would be a terrorist one committed to acquiring the territory of a country that actually does exist: Israel. As the Palestinians' genocidal mantra puts it, “From the river to the sea.” The Trump administration is wisely refusing to be party to such an inevitably counterproductive enterprise. As they say in New York, “Fuggedaboutit.” This is Frank Gaffney.
Yesterday, President Trump signed a slew of executive orders intended to assure U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence. In the interest of competing with Communist China's aggressive pursuit of AI superiority, however, safeguards and oversight aimed at preventing “FrankenAI” from transforming us into a CCP-like“digital gulag” are being given short shrift. Another, less fraught way to keep us ahead of the Chinese Communists would be to stop their underwriting by Wall Street. House China Committee Chairman John Moolenaar has just subpoenaed two of the worst malefactors – Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan and Brian Moynihan of Bank of America – in connection with their recent fundraising for a Chinese military company called CATL. You don't need much intelligence to recognize, as President Trump did in his as-yet-unimplemented “America First Investment Policy,” that we have to stop funding the Chinese Communist Party. This is Frank Gaffney.
President Trump weighed in yesterday on “Obamagate” – the nation's most serious political scandal, ever. Citing evidence released last week by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Mr. Trump declared that his predecessor, Barack Obama, had personally led an effort to “rig the 2016 election,” then did rig the 2020 one and was guilty of “treason.” An Obama spokesman responded: “Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election, but did not successfully manipulate any votes.” This contention does not address, let alone rebut, the documented pattern of behavior by the then-President and his national security team in the aftermath of Trump's win that year. DNI Gabbard has made a criminal referral to the Justice Department of President Obama and his alleged co-conspirators, saying “every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” Amen. This is Frank Gaffney.
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Welcome to “Obamagate.” Last week, the former Democratic Member of Congress who is now the Director of National Intelligence released copious documentary proof that in early December 2016, shortly after Donald Trump was elected to succeed him, then-President Barack Obama personally participated in the launch of a bloodless coup. DNI Tulsi Gabbard's evidence has been forwarded to the Justice Department as a criminal referral of what she believes amounted to a conspiracy to commit treason. Her assessment is that all those implicated should be “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” While the coup did not succeed in its purpose of negating a democratic election and/or overthrowing Mr. Trump's presidency, it tremendously harmed his first term and the nation. The Obamagate scandal warrants a special prosecutor and its chief perpetrator and every co-conspirator must be held accountable as soon as possible. This is Frank Gaffney.
On Friday, the United States formally rejected a backdoor expansion of world government. In a joint statement, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. and Secretary of State Marco Rubio renounced American participation in a de facto treaty sneakily adopted last year by the World Health Assembly with the connivance of the Biden administration, Communist China and assorted other globalists. In an accompanying video, Secretary Kennedy made clear what's at stake. “Are we going to be subjects to a technocratic control system that uses ‘health risks' and ‘pandemic preparedness' as a Trojan horse to curtail basic democratic freedoms?” He added, “The United States can cooperate with other nations without jeopardizing our civil liberties, without undermining our Constitution, and without ceding away America's treasured sovereignty.” Our Sovereignty Coalition applauds President Trump and his team for courageously defending freedom, again. On Saturday evening, I will be joining two of the world's most knowledgeable authorities on the threat posed by “enemies within” in an extremely timely conversation sponsored by Karen Siegemund's American Freedom Alliance. The subject is the “Red-Green Axis” – the increasingly dangerous alliance between Communists and Sharia-supremacists in America. Trevor Loudon and Robert Spencer understand deeply that these totalitarian elements are working together, even though they seek very different end-states – respectively, a world run by Communist China and a global Caliphate ruling according to Islam's Sharia code. What they have in common – as, for that matter, does yet another, allied force, namely those seeking world government dictated by the United Nations – is the immediate objective of taking down the impediment to all their ambitions: the United States. Learn what we must do to thwart these enemies within AmericanFreedomAlliance.org. This is Frank Gaffney.
In recent days, Syria's formerly designated terrorist group known as HTS has conducted murderous attacks against Christians and Druze communities and seems set on destroying the survivors and what remains of that long-suffering country's other minorities. Unsurprisingly, the group's erstwhile leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, claims to oppose such crimes against humanity. He has, after all, to keep up appearances of having moderated his historic Sharia-supremacism, for which he was rewarded by President Trump with legitimacy and sanctions relief. Israel cannot afford such illusions. She has come to the aid of her own Druze population's relatives in Syria and Christians seeking refuge in their midst. And the Israelis have threatened to destroy al-Sharaa's regime if it persists in striking them. It's time to reconsider the support Washington has given Syria's jihadist regime and stand, instead, with our friends whom it is determined to kill. This is Frank Gaffney.
For over three decades, the Chinese Communist Party has waged what it calls “unrestricted warfare” against the United States. Currently, its myriad, devastating lines of attack include what amounts to chemical warfare involving the covert manufacture and dissemination of toxic drugs that are poisoning -- and even killing – large numbers of Americans. The CCP is not just weaponizing deadly fentanyl. Increasingly, it's wielding lethal marijuana grown illegally inside this country, as well. A powerful interview and documentary by Tucker Carlson featuring Maine investigative journalist Steve Robinson describes secret Chinese grow houses in that state and others producing potent dope, laced with potentially deadly pesticides and ravaging our homeland – both physically and societally. It's “high time” we treat such predations as what they are – acts of war on America – by rolling up the Chinese Communists' chemical warfare operations here, and finally holding them accountable. President Trump has commendable understood – and rejected – efforts by champions of “global governance” like the World Health Organization to foist upon Americans international agreements that would crush our sovereignty and personal freedoms. To his great credit, Mr. Trump has given notice that the U.S. is withdrawing from the WHO. But it won't be effective until next January. In the meantime, the globalists are hoping he won't formally reject their bid to advance world government via a pact giving the organization's leader the right unilaterally to declare international public health emergencies – and dictate what must be done about them. Think the WHO's disastrous COVID-19 response on steroids. An international summit to encourage the rejection of such gambits will take place at 11 a.m. Eastern Time today. Register at antiglobalist.net. And encourage President Trump @POTUS on X to reject the IHR amendments right away. This is Frank Gaffney.
Donald Trump is continuing to ramp up threats to impose high tariffs on imports from nations around the world. Most of those being targeted are allies or at least friendly trading partners. One that has yet to receive the President's intensified pressure, however, is actually a mortal enemy: Communist China. CCP propaganda outlet Global Times reports that in just four recent days, American consumers spent $24 billion online with much of it purchasing Chinese goods via Amazon, Walmart and Target. Retired Navy Captain James Fanell points out that Mr. Trump “needs to take to the bully pulpit and…explain [that] if Americans keep buying goods made in the PRC, they will be responsible for arming an enemy who is prepared to destroy America….If we do not decouple, then no amount of tariffs or other measures will save this nation.” Amen. This week, the Trump administration took the first, long-overdue step to put America on a war-footing. That's the upshot of a new “National Farm Security Action Plan” explicitly aimed at reducing the very considerable threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party to our food supply, related production operations and farmland across the country. The Action Plan's roll-out highlighted collaboration between the departments of Agriculture, Defense, Homeland Security and Justice. Their efforts will all be needed to defeat such dangerous Chinese threat vectors as: stealing our intellectual property; acquiring land within striking distance of key military installations; smuggling in crop-destroying pathogens; and operating at least one covert biological warfare lab in this country. A more comprehensive war-footing must now be adopted to protect our people and communities, including by: deporting all Chinese students, soldiers and other potential operatives; rebuilding our military; and not underwriting theirs. This is Frank Gaffney.
On the eve of his first election, Donald Trump warned about the threat posed by an ideology he described as “radical Islamic terrorism,” sharply criticizing those who ignored that reality – and committing to counter it comprehensively. Today, President Trump is surrounded by official and unofficial advisors convinced that deals can be done with devoted adherents to that ideology. Its financial enablers in Qatar, an al Qaeda leader now president of Syria, the surviving Hamas leadership and their Iranian sponsors are now the focus of various U.S. diplomatic and commercial engagement initiatives. Unfortunately, the radical Islamic ideology of Sharia requires its adherents to use temporary truces to deceive infidels as part of a strategy of destroying them. Mr. Trump urgently needs a second opinion, informed by those who know he was right nine years ago – lest he encourage, and enable, the Sharia-supremacists' jihadism. This is Frank Gaffney.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is the latest high-profile victim of an illegal impersonation enabled by artificial intelligence. Several nations' foreign ministers, a state governor and a U.S. senator received voice messages apparently from him. It's hard to overstate the damage such seemingly official communications involving senior government leaders with national security responsibilities could cause. And that is before further, pell-mell evolutions of artificial intelligence fed by a technology race with Communist China create what amounts to “FrankenAI.” The Trump administration wants no regulatory interference impeding that race. In its absence, the U.S. Senate just voted nearly unanimously against an amendment that would have precluded statesfrom regulating artificial intelligence for ten years. Secretary Rubio's experience is but the latest warning that oversight and some regulation is required to warn of, and hopefully minimize, truly FrankenAI. This is Frank Gaffney.
On February 21st, President Trump issued a National Security Presidential Memorandum making it the policy of the U.S. government to stop underwriting the Chinese Communist Party. Three months later, Jamie Dimon's JP Morgan and Brian Moynihan's Bank of America flouted that “America First Investment Policy.” They helped arrange for Americans and others to invest over $4.6 billion in a Hong Kong initial public offering of a Pentagon-designated “Chinese military company.” The Financial Times reported yesterday that 47 other Chinese corporations are now in the process of following the lead of that company known as CATL – one involved in providing advanced electric batteries to make Chinese submarines more lethal threats to our Navy and sailors. We must stop financing our mortal enemy and hold accountable those like Messrs. Dimon and Moynihan who profit from selling out America. This is Frank Gaffney.
President Trump famously promised that we would “get tired of winning.” The question occurs: Has he gotten tired of winning? That appears to be the case in the wake of Mr. Trump's declaration that Israel's war with Iran is over. Today, he is expected to follow up that ceasefire with another one in Gaza between Israel and Hamas. While some perceive such imposed ends of hostilities to be evidence of the President's power to make peace and, perhaps thereby, win a Nobel prize, such achievements are certain to prove fleeting, at best. At worst, they guarantee more, truly endless war will be conducted against Israel, the United States and Western civilization more generally at the hands of Iranian and other Sharia-supremacists emboldened by their survival at our hands. That is the sort of “win” of which we will become very tired. This is Frank Gaffney.
