Dr. Anderson went on to complete neurology training at the University of Alberta, also obtaining certification as an electro-encephalographer (CSCN Diplomate) and neuro-sonologist (ASN Diplomate), followed by Critical Care training and a fellowship in Neurocritical Care at Johns Hopkins. His research focuses on non-invasive neurocritical care monitoring, specifically, evaluating the role of non-invasive ultrasound (ocular ultrasonography and transcranial doppler) in patients with acute liver failure and the clinical utility of continuous EEG versus spot EEG in various clinical scenarios. In the second part of this interview, Dustin brings advice to others in "God's waiting room." He specifically addresses those who might not be in a situation as good as his. You may hope to plant a church, but your current church isn't warm to the idea.Dustin and I get into the possibility of planting a church bivocationally while keeping your job in your home church. Finally, we discuss avenues of permission, even when permission is withheld. You should find this creative and enlightening. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Dustin Anderson is on deck to plant a church - but he's been there a while.Dustin leads community outreach and disciplemaking groups in a thriving Southern California church while anticipating an eventual plant. For some, that feels like living in God's waiting room. His experience may parallel your own. This is also the story of an exciting young church broadening its footprint during the pandemic. Coming out of the mess they have a larger cadre of seasoned leaders than when it all started. The leadership team is seeking direction for whatever next steps lay ahead.Dustin is a little unusual in that he's been mentored for several years by Randy Wier, one of our first members in Hope Chapel back in the early 1970s. Randy helped launch two highly successful churches before moving to Ventura, CA to plant a church bivocationally. A successful building contractor, he led that congregation for several decades before coaching younger leaders. This interview is a mix of new hopes and mature wisdom. You can learn more about, or from, Dustin by clicking on https://journeythechurch.org/about-us/staff Hosted on Acast. This episode threw quite a curveball at us, we were on our way to Long Beach and were prepared to record our final stop of the live tour when we found out that the city was recommending to not have large group gatherings. We decided it was in the best health interest for everyone if we canceled the event. We were pretty bummed about it but we adjusted and changed it to a Facebook Live, as well as an epic podcast episode. We turned our Air BNB into a recording studio and off we went! We sat down with our good friends Rich Gallo of Pure Swim, Javier Payan of Payan Pools, and Dustin Anderson of Precision Aquatics to discuss 1099 Independent Contractors and W-2 Employees. With the new AB-5 Law coming out in California, there have been a lot of questions surrounding this topic and we wanted to shed some light on what it means and how to adjust to it if necessary. All 3 of the guests, as well as us, have dealt with both independent contractors and employees so during the episode we share our experiences. The overall goal of this podcast was to define each one so that businesses could figure out where they fit into the conversation and help make the transition if necessary. There is a lot of negative talk surrounding this, but we tried to stay positive and make suggestions that will overall make the industry better. When we were running Brothers Pool Service this topic was always being discussed between us and since we started Pool Chasers, it has been one of the most asked for topics. We hope you get a better understanding of it and get as much out of this episode as we did. Our guest this week is Dustin Anderson, Vice President of Construction And Real Estate at Sage. We wanted to talk with Dustin because construction technology is a rapidly changing and developing world and we had to ask ... what is the company behind the #1 selling construction software doing to move that needle forward. What we found out is that it's all about looking at where they've been and simply put ... listening to their customers.
Dustin Anderson and Brandon Pinkerton discuss architecture and development in Oklahoma City, with a focus on HP Engineering’s involvement in recent projects. Also learn about trends occurring in Oklahoma City, plus a forecast for coming years.
In this episode we interview our good friend and the owner of Precision Aquatics, Dustin Anderson. His company focusses primarily on the commercial pool maintenance sector of the industry. Dustin has a real passion for the industry and wants it to be taken to another level. He is also adamant that people take the time to get the proper licensing, pay the proper taxes and workman’s comp, and give their employees what they deserve to provide for their families. We discuss some of the differences of commercial and residential pool maintenance. Dustin talks about some of the biggest advantages and struggles of running a legitimate business and what can be done to remedy those struggles. We also touch base on how important company reps are to your business and why it’s crucial to be signed up for their incentive programs. We actually met Dustin at the Zodiac Symposium after a social media class we were attending. He approached us to discuss our opinion on Yelp and had some pretty strong opinions on it himself. We talked for about 45 minutes that day and that sparked our friendship. Greg and Dustin get into a lot of that same discussion in the episode, so whether you love or hate Yelp, you don’t want to miss this part of the episode. See you out there Pool Chasers! Are those little doggie clothes actually useful or a waste of money? How do I make sure my indoor pets get enough exercise in bad weather? Do dogs and cats tolerate cold weather and heat better than humans do? ... and MUCH more. Listen in for some interesting pet conversation and a few laughs to boot. -photo by Jade Amburgey (Alice the Pink Lady)
