February 4, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 89 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the seemingly decline in excitement and media coverage when it comes to Super Bowl LX. While only a handful of coaching staff hires has been made official by the team as of Wednesday morning, Alex and I discuss the reports that now indicate that Brian Angelichio will likely be the team's new offensive coordinator and Domata Peko the new defensive line coach. We also address the reported news that two staff interviewees, Scott Tolzien and Chase Haslett, are reportedly staying with the New Orleans Saints. Is there some sort of prior history between QB Aaron Rodgers and new coaching staff member Frank Cignetti Jr. that could result in the former not wanting to return to Pittsburgh in 2026? We attempt to answer that question/narrative that seems to now be making the rounds since our Monday show. Former Steelers running backs coach Eddie Faulkner is reportedly joining the coaching staff of the Baltimore Ravens, so we address that news. We also talk about the seemingly strong coaching staff that new Ravens HC Jesse Minter seems to be assembling. The NFLPA held their annual Super Bowl press conference on Tuesday, so Alex and I discuss a few main talking points that came out of that media session. We talk about the probability of an 18-game regular season in the NFL and how more emphasis on better playing surfaces in stadiums is likely to happen very soon. Steelers DT Cameron Heyward is making the rounds ahead of Super Bowl LX on radio row this week, so Alex and I go over a few comments he has made about his playing future. On Tuesday, we learned that Detroit Lions fan involved in a December altercation with Steelers WR DK Metcalf has brought a $100 million defamation lawsuit against the player, the organization, and others. With that news being fresh, Alex and I give our thoughts on that having any chance of succeeding. This 96-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we make sure to read and answer a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. February 14, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 90 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday show, which was recorded Tuesday night, Alex Kozora and I get right to recapping and talking about the transactions that the Pittsburgh Steelers made on Monday. Those moves included the Steelers parting ways with QB Mitch Trubisky, OT Chukwuma Okorafor, and P Pressley Harvin III. We discuss the surprising timing of those three moves with them coming just one day after Super Bowl LVIII was played. Alex and I go over the salary cap savings produced by those three moves and then move on to talk about what those transactions might mean for DT Larry Ogunjobi, C Mason Cole, and CB Patrick Peterson. Will all three now survive their respective March roster bonus dates? We go deep into attempting to answer that question. With those three Monday moves now in the books, I provide a 2024 salary cap update related to the Steelers current Rule of 51. Alex and I then discuss ways the Steelers are likely to get cap compliant by the start of the new league year and how much space they might look to have entering free agency. Will the Steelers be very active in free agency this year? What is the most they are likely to spend on an unrestricted free agent from an APY standpoint? We attempt to answer those questions in this show as well. The Steelers waiver claim of LB Jeremiah Moon finally processed on Monday, so Alex and I discuss his unique situation and the shrewdness of the move. We also discuss the Monday news concerning the Steelers extending the contract of running backs coach Eddie Faulkner. Adam Schefter of ESPN talked about the Steelers and potential interest in Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields on Monday, and the internet has since gone wild as a result of him doing so. With Fields being a heavy social media topic again on Tuesday, Alex and I jump into another discussion concerning the possibility, feasibility, and plausibility of the Steelers potential trading for the Bears quarterback. We cover several aspects that need considering when it comes to trading for Fields. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 92-minute episode and we end it by answering several questions that we received from listeners of the show. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith are back to discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. Jenna Harner of WPXI joins the show to discuss the Steelers wave of activity. Mitch Trubisky, Chuks Okorafor and Pressley Harvin III were all released from the organization on Monday, what was the reason for making these moves when the Steelers made them? Where did the Steelers go wrong in their evaluation of Mitch Trubisky and will it give them pause going forward in terms of their evaluation? Eddie Faulkner had his contract extended. Was the move deserved and is the team done adding to their coaching staff? Finally, we discuss Jenna's path to Pittsburgh and her experiences along the way. Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith are back to discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin held his end of season press conference on Thursday and dove into a ton of topics, so we did the same. He said while they're appreciative of the efforts of Mike Sullivan and Eddie Faulkner, the team will look externally for their next offensive coordinator and want somebody with play-calling experience. Tomlin also talked about the potential makeup of the 2024 QB room with Kenny Pickett going into next season as the starter, but the desire to create more competition for him. This could include bringing back Mason Rudolph who will hit free agency. Before we get to next season, Tomlin will likely have an extension in place and fielded questions about that as well. He also touched on individual efforts from Pressley Harvin III, DeMarvin Leal, Pat Freiermuth, Najee Harris and George Pickens. Let's go for another Steelers Afternoon Drive and discuss! Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith are back to discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. Eddie Faulkner, Mike Tomlin, Jaylen Warren and Allen Robinson all spoke about George Pickens on Wednesday and had different things to say, while ultimately all saying the same thing. It can't happen and he needs to grow from this. He's a work in progress and they aren't giving up on him because they've invested into the player and the person. Could discipline be on the horizon? If it is, we likely won't even hear about it as Tomlin said it would be kept in house. Patrick Peterson is slated to see time at safety with how thin the team is there due to injuries to the likes of Minkah Fitzpatrick and Damontae Kazee's suspension. On the Friday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Mike's Beer Bar, host Christopher Carter welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Brian Batko to break down the team's NFL Week 13 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals at Acrisure Stadium. Is this the week Kenny Pickett, Najee Harris, George Pickens, Diontae Johnson and the offense need to show dominance of an inferior opponent? What did interim offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner and play caller Mike Sullivan change after the firing of Matt Canada to produce more yardage in NFL Week 12 against the Bengals? And could these next two games against the Cardinals and Patriots be trap games for the Steelers? Our duo tackles those topics and more.

Chris Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast, and is joined by Mike DeFabo of The Athletic. The Pittsburgh Steelers saw Diontae Johnson give poor effort on Jaylen Warren's fumble and Mike Tomlin addressed the play during his Tuesday press conference. After Johnson's reported dispute with Minkah Fitzpatrick, his differences with Kenny Pickett, and now this incident, it's reasonable to ask if he's become a problem for the Steelers more than he's an asset. Chris Carter and Mike DeFabo debate that question, and what the offense needs from him to take proper steps forward. Also, the Steelers' defense is now a top defense in scoring, turnovers and interceptions, as well as a top ten team in both rushing and passing touchdowns allowed. All that, and not a single game when Fitzpatrick, T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward played an entire game together. Locked On Steelers – Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Steelers
Chris Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10 Sunday, with Kenny Pickett and Najee Harris showing new hope for the offense. In their first game without Matt Canada at offensive coordinator, the offense gained over 400 yards for the first time since 2020. The structure of the offense under new offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner and play caller Mike Sullivan showed a real future for the offense to improve in the coming weeks. Pickett didn't throw a touchdown, but he had one of the best games he's played this season, while Harris ran hard and the offensive line blocked well to control the ball. Chris Carter explains why the offense's performance is sustainable, can be improved upon, and could very well be the start of the Steelers being a real AFC threat. Also, the Steelers' defense had another great game. They have now held opponents to 20 points or less for seven straight games, and are a top 10 scoring NFL defense. T.J. Watt continues his Hall of Fame career with 2 more sacks to give him 13.5 on the season, and the defense wins with backups everywhere. Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin deserves more respect for what he's done this season.CALL INTO THE SHOW AT 412-223-6644 or if international, e-mail your audio message to LOSTEELERSTOPICBAG@GMAIL.COMFollow Chris Carter on Twitter: @CarterCritiques.Theme music is 'Soul Kick' by Ceddy P, and 'Too Easy' by Nerdboy. "Bleav in Steelers" hosts Ike Taylor and Mark Bergin discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers offense gaining 421 yards in Sunday's 16-10 win against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers held the ball for 37 minutes and 16 seconds. In the Steelers' first game since firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada, the Steelers gained more than 400 yards of offense for the first time in the regular season since Week 2 of the 2020 season. The guys share how Kenny Pickett looked more relaxed under interim offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner and new play-caller Mike Sullivan. Pickett threw for 278 yards in the win. Pat Freiermuth had a career day with nine catches and 120 yards. Najee Harris had 99 yards and a touchdown. The guys also discuss Diontae Johnson's dropped touchdown pass, and what happened during the play where he stood there when Jaylen Warren fumbled the ball. They also discuss rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr.'s performance against star receiver Ja'Marr Chase. Porter is emerging as a lockdown cornerback. Ike shares when Porter used to come to the Steelers' locker room as a kid, and practice against Antonio Brown. The guys also give praise to T.J. Watt's two-sack performance, Nick Herbig's sack, Keeanu Benton's performance, Trenton Thompson's interception and Chris Boswell's consistency in the kicking day. Gerry Dulac discusses the impact Mike Sullivan and Eddie Faulkner had on the offense with the two of them in charge yesterday in the Steelers win over the Bengals.
On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast presented by Mike's Beer Bar, host Christopher Carter welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to break down an NFL Week 12 victory against the Bengals on Sunday in Cincinnati. Did Kenny Pickett and the offense really show progress in the absence of fired coordinator Matt Canada by moving the ball? Or was the lack of points still a concern for interim coordinator Eddie Faulkner and play caller Mike Sullivan? How much credit does coordinator Teryl Austin deserve for the defense's emerging dominance amid injuries to key players including Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander? And where do the Steelers stand in the AFC North race following a win for the Ravens and loss for the Browns on Sunday? Our duo tackles those topics and more.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin shares his thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' 16-10 win against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers' offense had more than 400 yards of offense for the first time since Week 2 of the 2020 season. It marked the first game for the Steelers since they fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Eddie Faulkner now serves as the team's offensive coordinator and Mike Sullivan calls the plays. Bergin shares how he wants to see better effort from wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who quit on a play where Jaylen Warren fumbled. Kenny Pickett threw for 278 yards and Pat Freiermuth had a career-high 120 yards. Najee Harris had 99 rushing yards and a touchdown. Chris Boswell made all three field goals. He's only missed one field goal in the 2023 season. T.J. Watt had two sacks in the win too. Next up for the Steelers, they host the Arizona Cardinals. November 24, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 54 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the slate of Thanksgiving Day games the NFL had and how all three weren't all that competitive overall. The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released two injury reports ahead of their Week 12 road game against the Cincinnati Bengals, so we recap where the team sits from a health standpoint entering Friday and how it looks like the team won't be getting S Minkah Fitzpatrick thon Sunday. New offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner addressed the media for the first time in his new role on Thursday, so Alex and I recap all that he had to say during that press conference. We then move on to cover what notable things that defensive coordinator Teryl Austin had to say on Thursday during his media session. With the Steelers playing the Bengals on Sunday, Alex and I are pleased to have Jay Morrison on the show this Friday. Morrison, who now covers the Bengals for Pro Football Network, is a longtime beat writer and Alex and I talk to him for nearly 25 minutes about the upcoming Week 12 Sunday game in Cincinnati. Jay graciously provides us with his score prediction for the Sunday game to close out our talk with him. If not already doing so, please follow Jay on Twitter at @ByJayMorrison and also make sure to catch up on all of his pregame coverage here: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/author/jmorrison/. After talking to Jay, Alex and I provide our own preview for the Steelers Sunday game against the Bengals. As usual, Alex and I wrap up this Friday show by providing our picks against the spread for the remaining Week 12 games. We then provide our final score predictions for the Steelers Sunday road game against the Bengals. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 99-minute episode as well and we finish it up by answering several listener questions. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. November 22, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 53 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I talk more about the Pittsburgh Steelers deciding to move on from offensive coordinator Matt Canada. We talk about what maybe was the final nail that caused that move on from Canada and the challenges that now await Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan as they take over the control of the offense for the remainder of the season. Alex and I discuss what changes we might see on offense moving forward and what the overall goal of that unit should be throughout the final seven regular season games. We discuss if there's much optimism from us both when it comes to the offense improving greatly with Faulkner and Sullivan now running it. We also discuss what the duties of those two might look like moving forward. Alex has already connected several dots when it comes to a potential new Steelers offensive coordinator for 2024 so we go over that list of names that he cobbled together for Wednesday morning. We also discuss the possibility of Faulkner or Sullivan getting that job permanently in 2024 and what would need to go right for such a thing to happen. We talk more about Steelers QB Kenny Pickett in this show when it comes to hope he'll show growth in his play the remainder of this season. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and with that, Alex and I go over a few other things that he said during his talk with the media. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 95-minute episode as well and we finish it up by answering several listener questions. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Chris Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast, and is joined by Josh Taylor of KDKA-TV and 93.7 The Fan.The Pittsburgh Steelers fired Matt Canada, as Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday. His replacement is running backs coach Eddie Faulkner, and his run focus approach, communication and organization skills could be what the Steelers need to help Kenny Pickett get back on track this season. While quarterback coach Mike Sullivan will call the plays, an offense based in the renewed strength of the offensive line, Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, can be just what the doctor ordered. Also, the Indianapolis Colts waived linebacker Shaquille Leonard, and the Steelers could use his help at a depleted linebacker position. On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast presented by Mike's Beer Bar, host Christopher Carter welcomes former Steelers offensive lineman Trai Essex to analyze the firing of offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Was it a surprise that the team made the change now instead of at the end of the season, given the historical rarity of such moves? Do Kenny Pickett and the offense have any chance at improvement under interim OC Eddie Faulkner and play caller Mike Sullivan? And where do the Steelers fit in the AFC North race with the Ravens, Bengals and Browns following the injuries to Deshaun Watson and Joe Burrow? Our duo tackles those questions and more. November 21, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 52 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday morning show, an emergency episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada earlier in the day. We discuss why Canada was relieved of his duties on Tuesday and what all HC Mike Tomlin had to say about that decision during his weekly press conference. We also go over who will have what rolls on the offensive coaching staff now that Canada has been dismissed by the team. What will the offense look like moving forward for the Steelers? How will this change hopefully help QB Kenny Pickett? Alex and I attempt to answer both of those questions and others during this episode. We also discuss what Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan need to do and show in the remaining seven games to keep the team from looking outside the organization past this season. We do talk a little bit about potential outside offensive candidates past the 2023 season later in this show. The Steelers made a few roster transactions on Tuesday, so Alex and I address those. We also discuss the possibility of the Steelers landing veteran LB Shaquille Leonard now that he is being waived on Tuesday by the Indianapolis Colts. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 46-minute episode as well. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Post-Gazette Steelers insider Brian Batko joins Adam Bittner to react to the team's firing of offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Tuesday. Who ultimately made the decision? Was it owner Art Rooney II or coach Mike Tomlin? What impact will the decision have on quarterback Kenny Pickett? What can we expect from reported interim coordinator Eddie Faulkner and quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan as the play caller? And what direction should the Steelers go in hiring a new offensive coordinator in 2024? Do names like Pep Hamilton or Jim Caldwell make sense? Our duo tackles all of that and more.
