Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise reacts to news that the Steelers are signing free agent cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. to their practice squad. What can the veteran bring to the struggling secondary? Will he fit well alongside names like Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay, Jalen Ramsey, Brandin Echols and James Pierre? Will his coverage help names like T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig generate more pressure on QBs up front? Can Samuel help coach Mike Tomlin's defense stop tough passing threats, beginning this week with an NFL Week 11 rematch against the Joe Flacco, Ja'Marr Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals? And does this move make up for GM Omar Khan's lack of action at the NFL trade deadline? Paul tackles those questions and more on the offensive side, where Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and others are looking for more success. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 10 Sunday Night Football matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. This show is presented by FanDuel. Which QB in the matchup was better? Aaron Rodgers or Justin Herbert? Were Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Kyle Dugger able to slow talented Chargers receivers Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston? How did Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Payton Wilson, Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon deal with the potent Chargers running game? And were Steelers pass catchers DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Jonnu Smith able to find space? Our duo tackles those questions, as well as the performance of coaches including Mike Tomlin, OC Arthur Smith and DC Teryl Austin. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo recap the team's NFL Week 10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. This show is presented by FanDuel. What went wrong for QB Aaron Rodgers? Why wasn't he able to find a rhythm with receiver DK Metcalf? Or other pass catches including Roman Wilson, Calvin Austin III, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington or Jonnu Smith for that matter? How encouraged should we be by Jaylen Warren's performance on the ground? Why couldn't T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig and the defense generate any turnovers against Justin Herbert, Ladd McConkey, Kimani Vidal and the loaded Chargers offense? And how did Jalen Ramsey look in his second game at safety alongside DBs such as Darius Slay, Joey Porter Jr. and Kyle Dugger? Our duo tackles those questions and more. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter welcomes enterprise reporter Noah Hiles to sort through the team's NFL Week 10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Is 41-year-old QB Aaron Rodgers hitting a wall after his rough performance? Or did he just have a bad night? And what does he need to do to be more productive with his pass catchers. DK Metcalf in particular after his own quiet night. But also depth options including Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Jonnu Smith? Our duo tackles those topics, then talks defense. Are the changes coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin have made in the past couple of weeks working? From shifting Jalen Ramsey to safety to deploying James Pierre more at corner alongside Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay and Brandin Echols? And will T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Payton Wilson, Patrick Queen, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig have more answers with a rematch against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals looming in Week 11? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise analyzes the Steelers' defense ahead of its NFL Week 10 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Have coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin made enough adjustments for the defense to perform better against a potent passing attack led by Justin Herbert and Ladd McConkey than it did against Joe Flacco, Ja'Marr Chase and the Bengals? Or Jordan Love, Tucker Kraft and the Packers? Will Jalen Ramsey's move to safety continue to pay off? How much pressure can he and new acquisition Kyle Dugger take off corners like Darius Slay Jr. and Joey Porter Jr.? And will the rush continue to get home with names like T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Payton Wilson, Nick Herbig and others? Paul tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the performance of outside linebacker Alex Highsmith in the team's 27-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Highsmith had four tackles, three for a loss, one sack, one quarterback hit and a pass defended in the victory -- his best performance of the season. The noise has been loud over the past few weeks as Highsmith returned from injury and returned to his starting role, while pushing Nick Herbig down the depth chart. Highsmith proved his value this week. Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 9 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts at Acrisure Stadium. This show is presented by FanDuel. Were Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr., Brandin Echols and new acquisition Kyle Dugger able to improve in pass defense against the potent Colts attack led by Daniel Jones, Michael Pittman, Tyler Warren and Alex Pierce? How did T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Derrick Harmon, Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig and Keeanu Benton manage in run defense against explosive back Jonathan Taylor? And were Aaron Rodgers, Jaylen Warren, DK Metcalf, Pat Freiermuth, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson and the offense able to keep up with one of the hottest offenses in the NFL? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise gives his thoughts on the state of the Steelers' coaching staff following losses to the Bengals and Packers in NFL Weeks 7 and 8, respectively. Should DC Teryl Austin be on the hot seat as his star-studded unit that includes names like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Jalen Ramsey and Patrick Queen has struggled? Would firing him actually change anything? Or does blame for the unit's performance ultimately rest with coach Mike Tomlin? And what are realistic expectations for a midseason turnaround? Paul tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Mike Tomlin doesn't think changes are needed for this defense. He doesn't plan to take over ‘sole' play calling for the unit and told reporters today that they will right the ship. We also pondered the decision to keep Nick Herbig off the field a lot over the last 2 games. What is the big issue with the Steelers? Donny Football Debrief – Daniel Jones told The Pat McAfee Show he had to go watch Steelers film. I have a feeling he will like what he sees.

Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo react to the team's NFL Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. Why did did the secondary -- led by Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Jalen Ramsey -- struggle so badly against QB Jordan Love, TE Tucker Kraft and the Packers passing game? Where was the pressure from T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon and others as they failed to generate a sack for a second consecutive game? How should we grade QB Aaron Rodgers, WRs DK Metcalf and Roman Wilson and TEs Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington in the passing game? And why was RB Jaylen Warren able to have success on the ground? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Noah Hiles react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup with the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. How did QB Aaron Rodgers perform against his long-time team? Was he able to put up points with offensive personnel including DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington, Jonnu Smith, Jaylen Warren, Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell? Or were Micah Parsons and the Packers defense able to keep him in check? Who won the coaching matchup between Mike Tomlin and Matt LaFleur? How did DBs Jalen Ramsey, DeShon Elliott, Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay Jr. hold up in a tough matchup against Jordan Love after a rough outing against the Bengals? And how much pressure were T.J. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo react to an NFL Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. Was captain Cam Heyward right to call out his unit after it was dominated by Packers QB Jordan Love and TE Tucker Kraft? How can coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin fix the group, with fans holding high expectations of names like T.J. Watt, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon, Nick Herbig, Patrick Queen and others? And how can the secondary specifically -- led by veterans Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay Jr. -- step up its game. Especially in potential absence of injured S DeShon Elliott? On the Saturday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko ponder which defensive problems the Steelers most need to fix ahead of an NFL Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Are coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin too focused on stopping the run compared to the pass? How can they get DBs including Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr., Joey Porter Jr. and others on track when facing a tough matchup against QB Jordan Love? And where do front seven members like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Derrick Harmon, Keeanu Benton and others fit into that equation? Our duo tackles those questions, plus Aaron Rodgers' matchup with his former team. How many points will he be able to put up with options including DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Jaylen Warren, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith surrounding him? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Jalen Ramsey doesn't seem to be a No. 1 corner anymore. Communication is a problem. We think Nick Herbig is going to play a lot more. The Steelers need to slow down Micah Parsons and he moves around the defense. Ray thinks the Steelers win 27-23 and the star of the game is Jaylen Warren.
We listened to some Teryl Austin clips from his press conference yesterday. Austin says the Bengals run game completely changed the Steelers game plan. He talked about stopping the run, Nick Herbig's playing time, Joey Porter Jr. and his penalties. Poni would give JPJ a C+ or B- at best. Austin had a bad excuse as to why Herbig was not playing late against the Bengals.
Steve Palazzolo joins the show! He reacts to Poni having to get his nipples pierced. Nick Wright was talking about it on FS1 as Poni talks to Steve. Steve previews the Steelers-Packers game this Sunday. Steve also reacts to what Teryl Austin said as to why Nick Herbig was not on the field at the end of the Steelers-Bengals game.
There are only days remaining to determine if Ben Kindel and Harrison Brunicke should be here and not be sent back to juniors. They have played well, but when will Kindel and Brunicke hit the rookie wall? Nick Herbig only played 29 snaps against the Bengals. Tomlin gave a "keep watching" on Herbig and it was about matchups. Jeff Patton of Baseball Card Castle joined.
Hour 2 with Bob Pompeani and Joe Starkey: Nick Herbig needs to play more on the Steelers defense. If you were another team, who would you want on your team: Nick Herbig or Alex Highsmith? Maurkice Pouncey has moved on in Hall of Fame voting and is one of 52 modern-era candidates for the HOF.
Nick Herbig needs to play more on the Steelers defense. Mark thinks it could also have to do with opponents having long drives. If you were another team, who would you want on your team: Nick Herbig or Alex Highsmith? Bob would take Herbig. Mark would take Highsmith.
Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers. On today's episode, we discuss what Mike Tomlin had to say in terms of injury updates to Calvin Austin III, Miles Killebrew and others. He also touched on not being worried about the playing surface at Acrisure Stadium and why we didn't see a ton of Nick Herbig. It was more about what he didn't say though, which was not placing a ton of blame on the play of secondary for Thursday Night's loss to the Bengals. We also touch on if the team needs to make a significant jump to land a QB in the 2026 NFL Draft, how the marriage with Aaron Rodgers is thriving and the amount of touches Jaylen Warren needs to receive. Joey Porter Jr. continues to be called for big penalties. Joe questions if Porter Jr. is even a good corner, where his penalties are close to Pat Surtain, but Surtain is great and he won Defensive POTY. The Steelers apparently don't view Porter Jr. as a No.1 cornerback.
Hour 3 with Joe Starkey: The Mike Tomlin Press Conference. Joey Porter Jr. continues to be called for big penalties. Joe questions if Porter Jr. is even a good corner, where his penalties are close to Pat Surtain, but Surtain is great and he won Defensive POTY.
In this hour, Adam Crowley and Dorin Dickerson don't quite understand why the Steelers are relying on Alex Highsmith over Nick Herbig. Also, is QB Aaron Rodgers to blame for the Steelers' loss on Thursday? And don't you just hate when other MLB teams do well? October 21, 2025, 6:00 Hour
A couple of penalties for Joey Porter Jr., which he is prone to do when playing the Bengals. Mike Tomlin said it had to do with the receivers he faced in that game. What happened to Mike acting as if the Steelers had built the greatest secondary of all-time? How many guys on the defense are playing better than we expected them to? The secondary seems in such disarray we are getting questions about Cory Trice and his return. How much faith do you have in this defense? Tomlin Tidbit – Why was Nick Herbig so limited against the Bengals?
Tomlin Tidbit – Why was Nick Herbig so limited against the Bengals?
T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett, and Maxx Crosby haven't done much this season. Watt has four sacks in his last 10 games. Nick Herbig played on 22 of 52 drop backs against the Bengals. Teryl Austin said Herbig has earned more playing time, but didn't play. Joe would start Herbig over Alex Highsmith. Highsmith had 14.5 sacks in his last 32 games. Mark Kaboly joins.
Hour 2 with Joe Starkey: T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett, and Maxx Crosby haven't done much this season. Watt has four sacks in his last 10 games. Nick Herbig played on 22 of 52 drop backs against the Bengals. Teryl Austin said Herbig has earned more playing time, but didn't play. With the amount of weapons the Steelers have, how often would a new No. 2 receiver get the football??
On the Saturday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise to sort through the level of blame coach Mike Tomlin deserves for the NFL Week 7 loss to the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Was the game plan flawed from the start? Where was the pressure from the pass rush and stars like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, Derick Harmon and others? Were the 3- and 4-man rushes frequently deployed simply not enough to disrupt Bengals QB Joe Flacco and star WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, leading to problems in the secondary for Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey and others? And why haven't names like Benton, Payton Wilson and others developed as much as many fans had hoped under Tomlin? Our duo tackles those questions, plus the performance of the tight ends. Who's the best player from the group of Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith right now? Are they enough for Aaron Rodgers to have success in the passing game beyond DK Metcalf most weeks? And should GM Omar Khan consider trading any of them for a second wide receiver who's an upgrade over Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On the Friday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko react to the team's NFL Week 7 loss to the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Why were Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr., DeShon Elliott and the Steelers' secondary so bad in many coverage against the Bengals' passing attack led by Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Joe Flacco? Were expectations that coach Mike Tomlin's secondary would thrive in one-on-one situations misplaced? Or is this still an area where DC Teryl Austin can generate success against less potent pass games? And where do Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon and the pass rush fit into the situation? Our duo tackles those questions and ponder whether this was a loss to panic over or just a bump in the road over the course of a long season. Especially considering the way Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense were able to generate points to keep the Steelers in the game. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 7 Thursday Night Football matchup with the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium. Were Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Darnell Washington and others able to maintain their momentum in the passing game? How did Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier and the offensive line perform against the Bengals' pass rush? Were they able to clear running room for RBs Jaylen Warren, Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell against a porous Bengals secondary? On the defensive side, how well was the secondary led by Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey and DeShon Elliott able to contain star Bengals receivers Ja'Marr Case and Tee Higgins? And how effective was the pass rush led by T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith, Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon against Bengals QB Joe Flacco? Our duo tackles those questions, plus the coaching performance of Mike Tomlin and coordinators Arthur Smith and Teryl Asutin. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Off The Bench is back weekdays from 10a to 11a followed by The Stone Shields Show from 11a to noon! On October 16, 2025, Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati will host a pivotal AFC North showdown as the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) invade the reeling Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) for Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, exclusively on Prime Video. With the Steelers riding a three-game win streak and eyeing sole possession of the division lead, this matchup pits a surging defense against a Bengals squad desperate to halt a brutal four-game skid. The narrative couldn't be more dramatic: a battle of grizzled quarterbacks. Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers, 41 and thriving in his one-year Black-and-Gold stint, has injected precision into an offense that's clicked since his offseason arrival. The Steelers' attack averages 22.7 points over its last three games, bolstered by a line allowing just nine sacks. Rodgers faces a Bengals defense ranked near the bottom in QB pressure and sacks, ripe for exploitation. Meanwhile, Cincinnati turns to 40-year-old Joe Flacco, freshly traded from Cleveland, after Joe Burrow's season-ending Grade 3 turf toe surgery. Flacco's debut flop—a 27-18 loss to Green Bay—exposed vulnerabilities, but with Ja'Marr Chase) and Tee Higgins, the passing game could spark. Pittsburgh's defense, a steel wall allowing 14.7 points per game lately, looms large. T.J. Watt (3.5 sacks) and Nick Herbig (4.5 sacks) terrorize from the edge, while Patrick Queen leads with 44 tackles. The Bengals' patchwork offensive line, plagued by injuries to guards Dylan Fairchild (knee) and Lucas Patrick (calf), will struggle to protect Flacco. Cincinnati's run game, led by Chase Brown, must grind to stay afloat. Historically, the Steelers dominate, leading 71-40 all-time and 3-2 in the last five, outscoring Cincinnati by 26 points in those tilts. They've covered in five of six recent meetings, fueling their -5.5 spread favoritism (O/U 42.5). Yet, the Bengals boast a 4-1 home record against AFC foes, hinting at upset potential. This rivalry, born in the 1970s merger madness, always delivers grit. Expect a low-scoring affair—Pittsburgh's five straight unders vs. Cincy scream caution. The Steelers' sharpness should prevail, but Flacco's veteran guile might force a nail-biter. In the end, Pittsburgh pulls away 24-17, extending Cincy's woes while solidifying divisional supremacy. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo report from the Steelers practice facility after Tuesday's practice leading up to the team's "Thursday Night Football" matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. What can we expect from the Steelers defense, which went out and got defensive backs like Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay Jr. to pair with Joey Porter Jr. and take on guys like Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins? What does it say about that unit's depth that they may be able to move guys around and use in different matchups and coverages? What can we expect from Joe Flacco, a player who's very familiar with the Steelers and actually beat Pittsburgh last season as a member of the Indianapolis Colts? Will pass rushers like T.J. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo give their thoughts on a rousing victory against the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium. Specifically, they weigh in on the offense's performance. Have Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, Darnell Washington and others shown fans enough to believe in the unit? Or do we still need to be in wait-and-see mode with OC Arthur Smit's group? Later, they ponder the defense's improvements. Was the dominance of rookie QB Dillon Gabriel a product of the opposition? Or are names like Jalen Ramsey, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Patrick Queen and Derrick Harmon beginning to figure things out after a rocky start to the season? Especially in run defense where they shut down rookie running back Quinshon Judkins? Out duo answers those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise reacts to Steelers coach Mike Tomlin's weekly news conference ahead of an NFL Week 7 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Why did Tomlin call out the Cleveland Browns and GM Andrew Berry so harshly for their trade of Joe Flacco to the AFC North rival Bengals? Are his frustrations with the intradivision trade valid? Or was there merit to the deal for both sides? Paul gives his thoughts on those questions, plus the win over the Browns in NFL Week 6. Have Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense started to find an identity? Or should we take big numbers against the Browns with a grain of salt? And how sustainable is the pass rush from names like T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Derrick Harmon, Cam Heyward and Jalen Ramsey against superior competition? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac & Ray Fittipaldo recap an NFL Week 6 victory against the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns at Acirusre Stadium. They explain how Nick Herbig, Jalen Ramsey, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Derrick Harmon and others were able to generate so much pressure on Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel; why Patrick Queen and the run defense were able to shut down dangerous rookie RB Quinshon Judkins; and a productive day from Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense, which was able to move the ball both through the air and on the ground for coach Mike Tomlin and OC Arthur Smith. Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 6 matchup with the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium. Was coach Mike Tomlin's defense able to keep its momentum from the Dublin, Ireland win against the Minnesota Vikings going? Were names like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton and Derrick Harmon able to build on a six-sack effort with consistent pressure on Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel? How did the backfield shape up in Jaylen Warren's return from injury? And were Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jonnu Smith and others able to have more downfield passing success? Our duo tackles those questions and more. The stream will begin 10-15 minutes after the game's conclusion on CBS. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. October 10, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 35 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking briefly about the Thursday night game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles and how it was a huge coming out party for both QB Jaxson Dart and RB Cam Skattebo on the main stage. Alex and I move on to discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' injury report heading into Friday. We talk about Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey and WR Calvin Austin III both trying to return this week from their respective injuries. We also discuss what the early inactive list for the Sunday home game against the Cleveland Browns is shaping up to be. The Steelers brought in a few free agents for tryouts this past week, so Alex and I go over that list of players and the return of ILB Jacoby Windmon to the practice squad. On Thursday, we heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. Will Steelers OL Spencer Anderson factor into the receiving game on Sunday against the Browns? Alex and I go deep into trying to answer that question on this Friday. We also talk about the roles of Steelers outside linebackers Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig on Sunday and if either have a shot at making huge plays against the Browns. Alex and I welcome Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram and Medina Gazette back to the show, and he helps us get started with a preview of the Steelers-Browns game. Petrak has covered the Browns for many seasons, and nobody knows that team better than he does. We get his thoughts on several things related to Sunday's game at Acrisure Stadium. Scott fills us in on the two trades that the Browns made this past week and if the loss of veteran QB Joe Flacco might impact the upcoming game against the Steelers from a preparation standpoint. We talk about the Browns on offense and defense and how Cleveland's rookie class seems to be impacting the team in a lot of positive ways so far in 2025. At the end of our talk with Petrak, he gives us his score prediction for the Steelers-Browns game. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Scott on X/Twitter at @ScottPetrak and make sure to read his work here: https://www.brownszone.com After finishing with Petrak, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Browns game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football on Sunday at Acrisure stadium in Pittsburgh. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for all of the Week 6 games in the NFL using the lines provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. We also give our score predictions for Steelers-Browns to end that segment. This 112-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we close out this show by answering a few questions we received via email from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
