Solomon Wilcots is joined by sports business attorney Jesse Taylor for a wide-ranging offseason discussion that blends football evaluation with NFL business realities. The two break down why the Bengals must prioritize defensive difference-makers in the draft, stressing tackling, leadership, and proven production over raw traits. Taylor provides insight into rookie contract guarantees, voiding language, and how teams and agents negotiate leverage, before addressing the controversy surrounding the NFLPA's player report cards and the league's attempt to silence them. The episode closes with an in-depth look at Trey Hendrickson's uncertain future, franchise-tag mechanics, and a broader warning to players about preparing for an impending showdown in the next collective bargaining agreement. HR3 - Falcons will have to make some tough personnel decisions over next few years In hour three Mike Johnson, Ali Mac, and Beau Morgan quickly touch on some of the biggest headlines around the local and national sports scene, continue to play ‘Prove it, Extend, Walk' when it comes to the Atlanta Falcons 2026 free agents where they have three Falcons free agents they have to choose from and decide which one they will give a one-year 'prove it' deal, which one they'll give a long term extension, and which one they will let walk and not re-sign. Then, Mike, Ali, and Beau spend some time with national NFL writer for The Athletic Mike Jones! Beau, Mike, Ali, and Mike discuss if he uses the G-Mail app or the Apple Mail app, how Mike feels about the NFLPA report card situation, the NFL winning the grievance for the report cards to no longer be public, but the NFLPA going to continue to do them, the San Francisco 49ers having two international games this season and losing a home game because of their Mexico City game, how Mike feels about new Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle saying that he expects everyone at their voluntary OTAs and saying that he feels like quarterback Lamar Jackson has a higher ceiling and has things that he can improve on, why Mike had the Atlanta Falcons as his sixth best team out of the 18 teams that did not make the playoffs this past season, if Mike has heard anything about who could potentially buy the Seattle Seahawks, and if Mike thinks Jerry Jones nor Stephen Jones being at new Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Christian Parker's introductory press conference could be a sign that Jerry and the Jones family could finally be taking a step back from being as vocal as they have been in the past. The Morning Shift crew also continues to play ‘Prove it, Extend, Walk', but this time instead of doing it with 2026 Atlanta Falcons free agents where they have three Falcons free agents they have to choose from and decide which one they will give a one-year 'prove it' deal, which one they'll give a long term extension, and which one they will let walk and not re-sign they do it with some Falcons who are not free agents. Then, Mike, Beau, and Ali close out hour three by answering people's questions about anything in the Morning Mailbag!

Chris is tired of hearing about the ongoing beef among former Steelers. It was all started with Joey Porter taking a massive shot at Ben Roethlisberger while also sneaking one in on James Harrison in the process. Ben has yet to respond, but Deebo responded yesterday. This is all podcast fodder. The irony is that fans claim to us that the players just want to play, but it's players that are keeping this news cycle going. We speculated which podcast will get going about it next. Maybe Ryan Clark will get all of these guys together for an episode of The Pivot. Do fans care if former Steelers all get along? February 13, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 93 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers announcing their full coaching staff for the 2026 season on Thursday. We go over the few new names that are included in that list of staff members, and we also have conversations on the overall size of the staff and much more related to that Thursday announcement by the team. Several current and former Steelers have now chimed in on the comments made by Joey Porter Sr. about Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger during his recent interview on the Cameron Heyward podcast, so we go over the latest related to that topic. Former NFL QB Derek Carr has made it known that he is open to a comeback in 2026 should the right opportunity present itself so Alex and I address what all he had to say recently and whether the quarterback could be a plausible and possible fit with the Steelers. The NFL has reportedly now informed all 32 teams in a memo that it prevailed in its grievance vs. the NFLPA and its “team report cards" after an arbitrator determined that the NFLPA's conduct violated the CBA and ordered it to stop making public any future report cards. Alex and I both have opinions and reactions to that Friday breaking news. A judge ruled on Thursday in favor of Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss still having a year of college eligibility remaining due to a medical hardship a few years ago, so Alex and I react to that news during this show. On the heels of my first 2026 salary cap update for the Steelers being posted on Thursday, Alex and I discuss everything related to that topic. We also discuss potential March salary cap casualties related to the Steelers in addition to other ways the team might decide to create additional space should they deem that necessary during the offseason. Later in this show, Alex and I discuss the probability and plausibility related to offseason contract extensions being signed by CB Joey Porter Jr., K Chris Boswell, OLB Nick Herbig, DT Keeanu Benton, and TE Darnell Washington. We go over a few perceived market values for several of those players. This 129-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
