MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL These three single moms have had the odds stacked against them and have managed to keep their heads up in the face of adversity and raised amazing kids. I am excited to share their stories with you. They also share so much wisdom on how they became Super Moms in hopes to inspire other single moms out there! Erica Stewart is a single mother to two children ages 19 and 16. Julianna age 19 just finished her first year of college majoring in education she hopes to become a special education teacher. Jacob age 16 is finishing his sophomore year of high school where he is a scholar athlete who has double lettered in football and track. Erica has been the C.O.O at Mylett Communications, Inc., a media company, for the past  22 years. Erica's passionate about her family as she is the proud aunt to seven amazing nieces and nephews. She is also passionate about physical fitness and enjoys working out 5-6 days a week, and travel. Erica looks forward to seeing more of the world as she approaches becoming an empty nester. Monique Driscoll is blessed to be the mother of three children. Her first born was married last year, and so her family is growing. Monique attended Bible College right after high school, where she learned a passion to pursue her faith with purpose. Monique finds great purpose in being intentional about teaching her kids the value of strong character, generosity, and that there is so much good to be found in the hard. Her favorite quote is “ obey God, and leave the consequences to him.” Carie Edner is the proud mom to a 24 year old son named Brenden Lopez. Carie has been a single mom since Brenden was 6 years old. She has spent these years, trying to be there for her son and show him anything is possible. This June, he will enter active duty as an Air Force officer and will be flying jets. Edner Pimentel, mais conhecido como Careca, começou como assistente de cenotécnica do Teatro Deodoro em 1984. O aprendizado veio da prática e do convívio com o cenotécnico titular Ronaldo Vieira, o eletricista Pedro Eufrázio e o saudoso maquinista José Cabral. A partir daí, ele foi se especializando em iluminação cênica. Sete anos depois, passou a atuar definitivamente como iluminador na equipe técnica do palco oficial do estado. Ao longo da carreira, Careca já participou de milhares de espetáculos. Entre os momentos marcantes, ele destaca encontros com equipes de grandes nomes do cenário nacional nas artes cênicas como Fernanda Montenegro, Eva Wilma, Paulo José, Antônio Fagundes, Paulo Autran, Armazém Cia de Teatro; na dança Denise Stoklos, Débora Colcker, Ballet Guaíra; no humor Dercy Gonçalves, Chico Anísio, Juca Chaves, Tom Cavalcante; na música Geraldo Azevedo, Xangai, Arnaldo Antunes, Vanessa da Matta, Chico César, entre muitos outros. O novo texto propõe um diálogo permanente entre as cartas, trechos de romances e momentos da vida do escritor. Buscando dar uma leitura de estética mais contemporânea ao espetáculo, o grupo convida um encenador Marco Antonio de Campos da Invisível Cia de Teatro de Alagoas, e, juntos propõe que o espetáculo traga a cena projeções de trechos dos premiados filmes dos cineastas Nelson Pereira dos Santos (Vidas Secas de 1963 e Memórias do Cárcere de 1983), e Leon Hirszman (São Bernardo de 1980) baseados na obra de Graciliano.
