Today's 10th episode features Dr. Joe Dispenza, a neuroscientist who has written several best-selling books such as "Evolve Your Brain (2007)," "Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself (2012)," and "You Are the Placebo (2014)."  Dr. Joe Dispenza is a Doctor of Chiropractic who has received postgraduate training and continuing education in neurology, neuroscience, brain function and chemistry, cellular biology, memory formation, aging, and longevity. Dr. Joe's work has been featured on six continents in 27 different countries educating people about the functions of the human brain through his lectures on demystifying mystical so people have all the tools within their reach to make measurable changes in their lives. Dr. Joe wrote the book Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind and Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One. Both books are ranked as best sellers on Amazon. He also has appeared on Oprah, CBS News Sunday Morning, CNN Live with Anderson Cooper, and National Geographic Channel's Taboo series discussing how our minds can change our reality. Dr. Joe Dispenza experienced a severe accident when he was 25, where an SUV ran over him during a triathlon event leaving 6 broken vertebrates with shattered segments going back towards his spinal cord.   The prognosis was that he would probably never walk again after surgery. He refused surgery for his injury, deciding that if he rested his attention and energy long enough on his spinal column, he'd reconstruct it with the very power of his thoughts. After 10 weeks of doing meditations for several hours every single day, health started to improve. He eventually used the power of his mind to heal his body. After 30 years since this happened Dr. Joe has hardly had any back pain ever since! This book has been sitting patiently in my Kindle library since 2012, waiting for me to find the motivation to break the habit of being me. “But why would I not want to be me,” my ego wailed in protest. The answer to how to overcome my ego's fearmongering lies within the 297 pages of this eBook, a well-thought-out treatise that spends the bulk of its volume grounding its promise of transformation in science and metaphysics. If you are new to “Dr. Joe,” you should know that he has a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and has post-graduate training in neuroscience and neuroplasticity. He gained notoriety after writing his book, Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind, and appearing in the 2006 docudrama exploring human consciousness called, What the Bleep: Down the Rabbit Hole. More recently he's published Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon and is the host of meditation retreats and workshops that continually attract raving fans and followers, many of them who give extraordinary accounts of healing and transformation. What advice do you give people who are in an environment that isn’t helpful for where they want to go? How do you not take things personally or navigate that world of reflection? Can you paint a picture of what it looks like when a person knows what to do but can’t quite visualize it? What’s the connection between moving your body and getting into a new environment and accelerating that change? Can you tell me about your events?   Quotes "It’s so much easier to forget our vision than it is to remember it.” “We’re innately wired to be creators.” “The power that made the body heals the body.” “Your personality creates your personal reality.”  “If you’re not being defined by a vision of the future, then all you’re left with are memories of the past.”  “Wisdom is the memory without the emotional charge.” “The unknown has never let me down.”  “My definition of the creative moment is when I forget myself.”   Joe Dispenza, D.C. is an international lecturer, researcher, corporate consultant, author, and educator who has been invited to speak in more than 32 countries on five continents. Among many spiritual texts it is noted that our thoughts are creational forces which in turn affect our reality. But what evidence do we have that this is true? How about a structural change in the very anatomy of our own brain!
