With a mix of personal anecdotes and reflections on the nature of consciousness, this episode invites listeners to consider the profound possibilities that lie beyond our physical existence.Main Content:  What is Astral Travel?  At its core, an out-of-body experience (OBE) is a direct encounter with your consciousness functioning outside of your physical body while you are still alive. This often occurs during meditation or while lying down. Garrett explains that there are different types of OBEs, primarily focusing on two: classic astral projection and pure conscious travel. Classic Astral Projection:  In the classic astral projection, individuals initiate a vibrational state that allows them to separate from their physical form. Gareth recalls one of his first OBEs, describing how he felt like he was shot through the roof of his house, flying freely through the air. He explains that in this state, one can move effortlessly, experiencing sensations that feel both physical and ethereal. He describes the sensation of standing at the foot of his bed, observing his physical body and feeling a connection to the environment around him. Pure Conscious Travel:  Another notable type of astral travel is known as pure conscious travel or mental projection. In this state, individuals enter a meditative phase, allowing their awareness to shift to a completely different reality without the presence of a physical body. Gareth  likens this experience to remote viewing, where one's consciousness can observe various realms, planets, or even galaxies. This type of travel does not involve a physical sensation but instead relies on the mind's ability to visualize and perceive.Understanding the Astral Body:  Gareth provides insight into the concept of the astral body, which exists as an energetic copy of the physical form. This body enables movement and exploration without the constraints of the physical world. He emphasizes that while the astral body is not the same as the soul, it may contain aspects of one's being and consciousness. The Vibrational State:  A key aspect of preparing for an OBE is experiencing the vibrational state, a sensation that builds within the body as one approaches the threshold of an out-of-body experience. Garrett shares his own encounters with this phenomenon, describing the intense energy that can feel like a jet engine surrounding him. He notes that many individuals experience sleep paralysis during this phase, as the body is temporarily immobilized while the mind remains alert.

Sheryl developed a deep interest in the UFO phenomenon, catalysed by her father-in-law who attended a UFO meeting in Brisbane in the 1960s, where the famous alien contactee, George Adamski, was guest speaker.  In 1988 she joined UFO Research Queensland, and three years later was asked to take on the role of President. In this powerful and emotional episode, entrepreneur and mother of eight, Holly Porter, shares the deeply transformative story of her near-death experience (NDE) during a severe battle with COVID-19 in 2021.
