We begin this year continuing our year-long project to listen to and review every Linkin Park album. Next up: Meteora. A second album can (should?) be a deciding factor in whether a band is a one-trick pony or a force to be reckoned with, and Meteora proved that Linkin Park were going to continue being a tour-de-force.Today's…. uh…. “root beer” is Sun Sip. In Chapter 5 of Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Dr. Joe Dispenza highlights a critical distinction that defines how we approach life: the difference between survival and creation. For many of us, life feels like a constant struggle to stay ahead—a fight to survive. We operate in a reactive mode, responding to stress, fear, and external circumstances. But survival mode is not where true transformation happens. To create the life we desire, we must shift out of survival mode and into a state of creation. This chapter challenges us to move beyond reactive thinking and tap into the infinite potential of the present moment. By doing so, we can become conscious creators of our reality rather than prisoners of our environment, emotions, and past. Let's unpack the key insights and practical steps from Chapter 5 to help you shift from survival to creation. https://drjoedispenza.com/shop/categories?shopSection=Books If you like today's message, here are four ways I can help you grow faster… 1. There is a powerful quote by Vince Lombardi which says, "Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit." Quitting can creep into our lives and shape our mindset, becoming a default response to life's challenges. But as children of God, we are called to rise above and embrace the truth that we are destined to be winners.
In Chapter 4 of Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Dr. Joe Dispenza addresses one of the most pervasive barriers to personal transformation: our relationship with time. Most people live their lives trapped in the past, driven by memories and habits, or projecting into the future, consumed by worries and expectations. This creates a perpetual loop of familiar emotions and predictable outcomes. The good news? You can overcome time by learning to live fully in the present moment. Dr. Dispenza explains that when you break free from the mental constraints of past and future, you unlock the power to reshape your reality. Living in the present moment isn't just a philosophical concept; it's a practical skill that enables true transformation. Let's explore the key lessons from Chapter 4 and practical steps you can take to overcome time and create the life you desire. https://drjoedispenza.com/shop/categories?shopSection=Books If you like today's message, here are four ways I can help you grow faster… 1. In Chapter 3 of Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Dr. Joe Dispenza explores a truth many of us grapple with daily: our bodies often seem to control us more than we control them. Whether it's a craving, stress response, or the constant pull of habitual emotions, the body can feel like an unstoppable force keeping us tethered to the past. But here's the empowering news: your body is not the boss—it's your mind that holds the key to change. By understanding how the body and mind are intertwined, and how the body can become addicted to emotional states, you can begin to break free from self-sabotaging patterns. Dr. Dispenza provides us with the tools to overcome this "body-mind" disconnect and regain the power to live intentionally, rather than reactively. Let's dive into the lessons and action steps from Chapter 3 to help you move beyond your body's programming and into the driver's seat of your life. https://drjoedispenza.com/shop/categories?shopSection=Books If you like today's message, here are four ways I can help you grow faster… 1. In Chapter 2 of Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Dr. Joe Dispenza challenges us to rethink how much of our lives are dictated by external circumstances. From the people we interact with to the routines we follow, our environment often shapes our thoughts, emotions, and, ultimately, our identity. But here's the empowering truth: you don't have to let your environment define you. Dr. Dispenza teaches that overcoming your environment isn't about rejecting your external world—it's about taking control of your internal one. When you learn to break free from the subconscious patterns tied to your surroundings, you can start designing a life aligned with your goals, dreams, and potential. https://drjoedispenza.com/shop/categories?shopSection=Books If you like today's message, here are four ways I can help you grow faster… 1. In today's fast-paced world, the concept of personal transformation has become a buzzword, but how many of us truly understand what it means to change? Chapter 1 of Dr. Joe Dispenza's Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself invites us to see the world—and ourselves—through the lens of quantum physics. This isn't about memorizing equations or diving into complex science; instead, it's about realizing that you are more than just your circumstances, habits, and biology. You are energy. And when you align your thoughts, emotions, and intentions, you can fundamentally reshape your reality. https://drjoedispenza.com/shop/categories?shopSection=Books If you like today's message, here are four ways I can help you grow faster… 1. In this Session Savvy episode of the Play Therapy Podcast, I talk about the subtle impact of saying "OK" in the playroom. While it seems harmless in everyday conversation, in child-centered play therapy (CCPT), "OK" can unintentionally convey permission or agreement when the child should have full autonomy over their choices. I explain the difference between using "OK" for acknowledgment versus giving permission and why it's important to avoid this habit in the playroom. I also provide practical examples to help you identify when and how "OK" slips into sessions and how to replace it with neutral, reflective language. This episode is a reminder that the words we use in CCPT matter, and small deviations like saying "OK" can impact the child's experience in subtle but significant ways. If you feel resistance towards meditation, this episode is for you. I often hear people saying that meditation feels hard. They're bogged down by racing thoughts and sitting with them feels like an uphill battle. But here's meditation is a non-negotiable for me: by the age of 35, 95% of who we are is a repeated pattern of past thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. So moving throughout the world without conscious awareness of our patterns can dramatically hold us back. That's why my husband and I meditate every day, with one or two exceptions here and there. In order to up level, you've got to Break the Habit of Being Yourself. So how can you move through the resistance that your body might feel to meditation? The beauty of meditation is in the opportunity to take ourselves out of survival mode and transition into a creation state. What has you stuck in survival mode? This idea that meditation is too hard for you. Yes, it's going to feel hard. But we can do hard things! In the process of doing what feels “unnatural” to you, you'll become supernatural! This is how you create the life you deserve. In this episode, we're chatting about: The benefits of meditating and why it's a non-negotiableWhy meditation can feel hardThe importance of bringing yourself back to the present momentHow to meditateConnect with me: WebsiteInstagramLinkedinYanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically.Schedule a free clarity call with Yanet to identify what's holding you back and develop an action plan to go after what you want unapologetically: https://www.ybcoaching.com/coachingSee coaching client testimonials here: https://www.ybcoaching.com/testimonials
Today, I was thinking about how I talk to myself and why it's important. If I am responsible for what I say to my inner child, why would I say anything that makes my inner child feel small? Your self-talk affects your thoughts, actions, and feelings, so it's important to use positive self-talk. Check out Dr. Joe Dispenza's book Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself The answer is in the question. Cheers!

And this habit will usually continue unchecked for sometimes years. I don't believe that riders ever initially set out to ride in a way that will negatively impact things. Usually what happens is that riding a certain way either produces a certain outcome or solves a particular challenge at some point... And then turns into a habit! But, what happens if you get stuck there? Stuck with thinking the thoughts that cause you to use or carry your body a certain way... Usually never good things! There are lots of reasons why you might have developed less than great posture when in the saddle. Luckily, there are also lots of ways you can begin to both identify what's going on - and how to begin remedying it in your riding. Symptoms of Poor Posture in Riding If you have started to 'slip' a little where posture is concerned in your riding, there will be signs! Definite and obvious signs. This episode addresses neuroplasticity and the actionable steps we need to take to rebuilding the neural network using different tools. “The first move necessary in fixing anything is to understand what is presently not working. You have to know what the problem is and then name it in order to have power over it”~Joe DispenzaPeople are not doomed by their genes and hardwired to be a certain way for the rest of their life. A new science is emerging that empowers all human beings to create the reality they choose. The world and everything in and on it are made up of matter and energy. From the most microscopic of organisms to the biggest this is true. In humans, looking at the body, there are tissue, cells, molecules, atoms, subatomic particles, and energy. Energy is not just a philosophical idea; it is real and measurable. Even the staunchest critic has to acknowledge the energy of the body. This energy permeates being. This translates not only to the body but to the mind as well. Thoughts can clearly affect body energy in a multitude of ways. Thoughts can also have an effect on the quantum field. Using these principles when an individual focuses on a thought with directed focus, it can become more real than anything else.So ask yourself this; what needs to change?Sign up to Noa's NEW 360 Wellness course and receive a 15% coupon code when you mention Raising the New Earth Podcast! Have you ever felt like you're in a never-ending battle with comparison and self-doubt? Jenn Schultz, the compassionate author behind "She's Not Your Enemy," joins us to share her journey from a people-pleaser trapped in the pursuit of perfection to someone who's found her true worth through faith. Together, we navigate the treacherous undercurrents of insecurity, jealousy, and loneliness - all while learning to anchor ourselves in the truth of who we are in God's eyes.Scripture offers us a sanctuary, a place where we can silence the noise of comparison and hear the voice of our truest ally. In our deep and vulnerable conversation, Jenn and I discuss the strength we can draw from passages like Psalm 103 and Ephesians 1, using them as a compass to guide our way back to our true identity. We also examine the Armor of God, not as a suit for battle against our peers, but as a reminder to stand firm against the real challenges of life, enveloping ourselves in compassion and understanding for those around us.Ending on a note of hope and joy, we consider the power of faith to overcome rejection and conflict, finding fulfillment in the communities we build and the roles we play within God's Kingdom. Welcome back to Perspective Shift! In this week's podcast episode, Frank Daly and Mike Kitlas discuss the teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza. Often times, we look at mystical teachings through the lens of the thinking mind, making it difficult for us to grasp. When these concepts are backed up by science, it makes it easier for us as humans to believe how consciousness works. Dr. Dispenza marries the mystical and scientific perfectly in his teachings and books, such as "Becoming Supernatural" and "Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself." About Perspective Shift: Perspective Shift is a way to see the world as it is. It is the shift from a conditioned mind to an unconditioned consciousness. All welcome, come as you are. Today's 10th episode features Dr. Joe Dispenza, a neuroscientist who has written several best-selling books such as "Evolve Your Brain (2007)," "Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself (2012)," and "You Are the Placebo (2014)." Dr. Joe Dispenza is a Doctor of Chiropractic who has received postgraduate training and continuing education in neurology, neuroscience, brain function and chemistry, cellular biology, memory formation, aging, and longevity. Dr. Joe's work has been featured on six continents in 27 different countries educating people about the functions of the human brain through his lectures on demystifying mystical so people have all the tools within their reach to make measurable changes in their lives. Dr. Joe wrote the book Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind and Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One. Both books are ranked as best sellers on Amazon. He also has appeared on Oprah, CBS News Sunday Morning, CNN Live with Anderson Cooper, and National Geographic Channel's Taboo series discussing how our minds can change our reality. Dr. Joe Dispenza experienced a severe accident when he was 25, where an SUV ran over him during a triathlon event leaving 6 broken vertebrates with shattered segments going back towards his spinal cord. The prognosis was that he would probably never walk again after surgery. He refused surgery for his injury, deciding that if he rested his attention and energy long enough on his spinal column, he'd reconstruct it with the very power of his thoughts. After 10 weeks of doing meditations for several hours every single day, health started to improve. He eventually used the power of his mind to heal his body. After 30 years since this happened Dr. Joe has hardly had any back pain ever since! She discovered she had complex post-traumatic stress disorder from when she was a child. In an attempt to recover, she spent about a year and a half trying different ways to heal from her trauma. She wrote a book called “No, I'm Not Fine. Thank You.” In this book, Laura talks about how she got better from her old wounds and became strong again. Now, she spends her time learning about how to heal her body and mind from trauma, and she helps other people do the same thing. Laura first wanted to take care of babies in neonatal intensive care. However, because she had health problems, she had to focus on getting better and writing her story. In her book, she tells about her struggle with anxiety, strange health issues, and how she learned about the things that happened to her when she was younger. Laura knows a lot about different ways to heal from trauma, like something called Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, craniosacral therapy, neurofeedback, and how to control your nervous system. She also knows about getting better after a brain injury and how our brains can change, which is called neuroplasticity. She can teach us how to change our thinking, about taking care of babies in the hospital, and about how to speak up for yourself when you're getting medical help. Laura wants her book and what she's been through to help other people feel inspired and to find their own way to heal. She coined it her “inner critic,” using negativity to spur action. Negative self-talk trapped her in self-doubt, shame, and worthlessness. Engaging in deep self-work through books and podcasts, she transformed this pattern. Overcoming ingrained self-critique, she replaced it with self-compassion. This shift marked a pivotal point in her healing. Laura now advocates self-kindness and mindfulness, showcasing the potential for inner change and personal growth. Words of Wisdom Despite progress in addressing trauma and becoming more open about our experiences, many still find it scary to be vulnerable and share their struggles. Fear of judgment holds us back. Laura understands this fear but believes that talking about mental health and trauma can break this cycle of fear. Her book's title, “No, I'm Not Fine,” encourages honesty. Opening up and starting conversations about healing is crucial.
