Have you thought about joining The Balanced Gymnast® Program but not sure what kind of results your gymnast will get?We just wrapped up our three-day Fueled and Focused Challenge, and during one of our Q+A sessions, I had a parent ask a very insightful question. And that was, "what kind of results can my gymnast get from The Balanced Gymnast® Program?"We know that this sport is expensive at all levels but even more so at the upper/elite levels. It can feel like you're bleeding money due to travel expense, injuries, specialists, physical therapy...The list is extensive. So I know some parents sit on the fence about investing in their gymnast's nutrition because it seems like there are higher priority items right now. But I will tell you the biggest complaint we receive about the program is that parents WISH they had found us sooner. Want to know more? Listen in to see if you and your gymnast are a good fitIn this episode you'll hear about: The different program tiers within the program - something for everyoneWhy The Balanced Gymnast® Program works and we see such great resultsThe life-long benefits of the program community Links & Resources The Balanced Gymnast® Program for level 5-10 female gymnasts Episode 66: Origin Story- The Balanced Gymnast® ProgramConnect with Christina on Instagram @the.gymnast.nutritionist or christinaandersonrdn.com
RICH CELENZA talks about how a lot of people out there may be just looking to fit in. They may want to join a certain organization or be a part of some group in one way or another. Some people may also like to start hanging out with a certain group of friends or even family members. People need to understand that if you want to be part of a group, then it's on them to figure out a way to get into it.
Naomi is Director, Global Marketing Operations at EFI, a 3,000+ person tech company in the printing industry. She's based in Vancouver but she's been working remotely long before it was cool. She has 12+ years of experience leading high-performing global B2B demand generation teams. Before EFI she ran Marketing Ops at Sophos a cybersecurity enterprise company. Naomi is also one of the founding members of “MO-Pros”, the biggest Slack community for marketing Ops pros and recently launched a platform/site. She's been interviewed by prominent podcasts for her efforts spearheading a large scale enterprise migration to Marketo. David Lewis, the godfather of marketing ops podcasts says that Naomi is in his top 10 marketing ops people he's ever worked with. Noami dives into the 3 things that stand out in most marketing operations profesionals: ask a lot of questions and think outside the box ability to explain complex technical concept to non tech people multi task skills, sometimes the sky is falling Most marketing job postings should be read as a guideline and not taken as a prescription. The most important thing to demonstrate is your ability to learn something. When Naomi is hiring on her team she's looking for a balance between:- technical chops- cultural fitIn the interview process, it's key to get to chat with people from other business units to assess that cultural fit. Take home assignments are not super common for entry level roles, you can get a ton from how someone answers a question. Naomi values curiosity, looking for data opinions. How do you test that in an interview, what attributes shine? The attribute that allows you to suceed is you have to be curious and always ask why. You have to be willing to break things down and rebuild it better fast and stronger. Open ended questions get interesting conversations. Let candidates explain problem solving. Look for condidates that demonstrate personal bias recognition. What's it like being a Director level MOPs at an enterprise company?Aside from lots of meetings (lol), understand where business partners want to go, can our current tech stack support those goals. Tech adoption, get everyone to use Marketo to most potential. How can people who want to stay in the IC path develop a long term career growth?Naomi sets up her team with subject matter experts. Things change too fast, having experts on specific pieces, web, email, data, so they can stay on top of those areas and bring it back to the team and educate the rest, share knowledge. Here are key elements of Naomi's onboarding strategy: Marketo university 1-1s with key stakeholders Viydyard videos for short training Make sure person is plugged in and fits in Training the data model, week by week What should marketers do in their first job: always asking questions how can we do this better or not why do we do this this way If you're interested in marketing tech and you aren't a member of The MOPros community, you can signup here.--Intro music by Wowa via Unminus
Have you ever been terrified to be an outsider but you also have ZERO desire to “fit-in”? Today's episode will inspire you to wear the tag “outsider” proudly as you see the world from a unique and dynamic perspective. I share a story about an incident in grade school where the “popular” girls decided that only a certain and select few of us would be invited into their “popular” group as we went into high school the following year. The twist in the story made me an outsider in both the selected group and the unselected group. Time management sounds elusive and like an impossible goal, but in this episode of Today’s Business Leaders, Lisa of Impactive Strategies and Gabe of Business Marketing Engine break down how to make time management work for you. The trick is to structure your day based on the way you work in order to be most effective. Actionable Advice Balancing time across various responsibilities, tasks and roles is a challenge, and there are certainly times that crossing everything off of your to-do list feels impossible. It doesn’t have to be that way. With some planning and understanding of how you work, you can set yourself up for success and take on your to-do list. Using Biological Prime Time Biological prime time is the time of day when you are easily able to do the most complicated tasks. This is the time when you have no trouble focusing and getting down to business. Everyone is different, so the ideal times are different, too. Your biological prime time maybe first thing in the morning or mid-afternoon. Use your biological prime time to your advantage and work on the hard stuff when you are most effective. Easier Said Than Done Unexpected events or last-minute emergencies will always pop up, so it is not likely that you will be able to always count on being available during your biological prime time. Aim to keep that time slot open at least a couple days each week. Juggle your prime time with other responsibilities, such as phone calls and email. Check out episode four of Today’s Business Leaders to learn how to integrate email into your day without it being a distraction. Understanding Hyperfocus Understand how you work. Do you work exclusively on one task or hop around to different tasks? Know this and schedule your tasks accordingly. Put hyperfocus to work for you if that impacts how you concentrate. If you need a big block of time to work on a project, then schedule it that way. If you find a large block of time intimidating then take a different approach and break a project up into smaller tasks. Schedule 30 or 45 minutes to work on a task if that is the longest amount of time that you can concentrate on only one thing. Structure Your To-Do List Look at everything you need to do and break it up into two categories: high focus tasks and less intensive tasks. Set aside time to work on these tasks accordingly. High focus tasks should fall into your biological prime time and provide an adequate amount of time. Fitin less intensive tasks when you are available and able to work on them. Learn More Our next episode will explain how to prioritize tasks, so make sure to check that out.
