We answer a question from one of our awesome Patreon patrons who asked what we think publishers can do to better set expectations for their board games. We also share the games we've been playing lately, including Grandpa Beck's latest game, Whoa There Cowboy! Plus we dive into detailed reviews of two games where we got exactly what we expected, Alhambra Family & Friends Edition from Queen Games, and Beer & Bread from Capstone Games. Does budgeting feel like a dirty word to you? Or, maybe just…boring? Uncomfy? Generally UN-fun? The Russells are here to help! Sarah (from Team THRIVE!) is hopping *behind* the mic today with her husband, Ryan, to share the practical tips they use in their everyday life to make budgeting easier than ever before…and yes, actually FUN. They went from being newlyweds making about $20,000 all year TOGETHER to thriving as a family of four with dreams and goals - so yes, it's possible! No matter where you're at income-wise, Sarah and Ryan are sharing how + why to make budgeting happen. They break down their practical 3-prong approach, how to talk dollars as a couple, and some of their favorite resources + tools to both make budgeting easier AND family-friendly at age-appropriate levels, too (without letting any past “junk” from your own past money mindset in the picture). I want to discuss men's social responsibility to be emotionally vulnerable and how it can help them succeed professionally and personally. According to Zurich Insurance Group, 38 percent of men do not talk to others about their feelings, and almost three in 10 have never shown emotion or cried in front of others to maintain the appearance of manliness. For the past eight years, Ege Reynolds has been on a journey to overcome hiding his social anxiety by binge-eating chocolate chip cookies and playing League of Legends. At 225 pounds, he was constantly out of breath, walking up to his room, continually pleasing others instead of standing up for what he believed in, and living as a victim, thinking he was destined to be bright but chubby and socially struggling. In these past eight years, he has been able to lose 65 pounds, build a body that allows him to enjoy playing basketball and lifting weights, overcome social anxiety by speaking to strangers he was interested in, develop meaningful friendships with men he looked up to and women he didn't think he deserved, run a six-figure business that genuinely helps clients, working from countries like Colombia, Mexico, Georgia, and the Philippines. And most importantly, he has created a peaceful, abundant, aligned inner reality that makes navigating life relatively effortless. Ege Reynolds is a former software engineer on a mission to help men become the best version of themselves. Ege has coached men from companies like Google, Amazon, FB, NASA, and Blizzard, with whom he has helped create meaningful connections and step into their higher selves. Today, Ege Reynolds is the founder and CEO of Data-Driven Actualization, a platform that uses data-driven gamification tools to make transformation fun, easy, and sustainable for scientifically minded men. His coaching services have proven to be highly effective, as evidenced by the success stories of professionals from various industries. He joined me this week to discuss how to be a balanced man, step into our higher self, and foster authentic relationships with others. His approach uniquely infuses Buddhist principles and social science. Ege is also interested in discussing what it means to be a balanced man. Instagram: @datadrivenactualization
