De acordo com a porta-voz da Casa Branca, Jen Psaki, Estados Unidos, Brasil e a Organização Panamericana de Saúde têm discutido a parceria para destinar ao país os medicamentos necessários.

A Justiça Federal acolheu o pedido feito em ação judicial pelo Ministério Público Federal (MPF) e Ministério Público do Estado do Acre (MPAC) e determinou que a União garanta fornecimento ao Hospital Santa Juliana, de Rio Branco, enquanto durar a pandemia de Covid-19, os medicamentos sedativos, analgésicos e relaxantes musculares que compõem o chamado “kit intubação”.

Assembleia do Rio Grande do Sul investiga aumento abusivo de medicamentos para combater à Covid-19. Alguns chegaram a ter o valor ampliado em mais de 3.500%.

O Ministério Público Federal (MPF) e o Ministério Público do Estado do Acre (MPAC) acionaram a Justiça Federal para obrigar a União a garantir, enquanto durar a pandemia da Covid-19, o fornecimento dos medicamentos sedativos, analgésicos e relaxantes musculares que compõem o chamado “kit intubação” ao Hospital Santa Juliana (HSJ), que atende o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) em caráter complementar.

O primeiro lote de medicamentos para o chamado kit intubação, com mais de 1,5 milhão de itens, deve chegar ao Brasil até o final da próxima semana, segundo informações do Ministério da Saúde.

Depois do esgotamento de leitos e do desabastecimento de oxigênio, a mais recente manifestação de colapso do sistema de saúde é a escassez de medicamentos para doentes graves de Covid-19. Cinco Estados zeraram seus estoques no fim de semana, e outros se aproximam desse ponto - São Paulo tem o suficiente para mais quatro dias. Neste episódio, a médica intensivista Lara Kretzer, que coordena uma força-tarefa para alocar recursos escassos, descreve a mecânica da intubação e o papel de cada um dos remédios usados no procedimento. Sem eles, “a gente não consegue ventilar o paciente de maneira apropriada”, o que compromete suas chances. E do ponto de vista ético e humanitário? “É pior ainda”, afirma. A importação desses medicamentos por empresas privadas, para destinar ao SUS, é mais do que bem-vinda. Mas a atitude do governo federal não ajuda e, no estágio da pandemia em que está o Brasil, qualquer medida de alívio para quem está hospitalizado só se sustenta se houver esforço para reduzir o contágio - e com ele as internações. É o que explica Walter Cintra, professor da pós-graduação em administração hospitalar da FGV. “Chegamos aonde chegamos porque não tomamos as medidas preventivas, que são as melhores medidas”, diz.
