Avery Neff just wrapped up her freshman season with the Utes, where she earned four All-American honors and was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. Avery also won the Big 12 title on beam and was a regional champion in the all-around and on vault. She accomplished all of this despite suffering two serious ankle sprains in the third week of the season. This week we're excited to be joined by Missouri freshman Olivia Kelly. Kelly helped the Tigers advance to the NCAA Final Four for the first time in program history and finish the season in third place — the highest finish ever for Missouri.Kelly was a mainstay in both the bars lineup, where she averaged a 9.846, and the beam lineup, where she averaged a 9.853. She is one of the team's most valuable athletes in terms of scores. Among all returning gymnasts for next season, Kelly is the second-highest contributor, an impressive feat for a freshman!Kelly joins us to recap the Tigers' historic NCAA Championship run. This week we are joined by one of Oklahoma's standout freshmen, Addison Fatta who is a 3-time U.S. National Team Member and the 2022 USAG SportsPerson of the Year. As a Sooner, Fatta has competed all-around in all but two meets, has career highs of 9.875 VT, 9.925 on bars, 9.9 on beam and 9.925 on floor, and is one of our favorite athletes to watch. In case you didn't see on social media — we were at LSU this past weekend for the gymnastics Super Bowl between Oklahoma and LSU. In this episode we talk about our trip to Baton Rouge, the incredible competition between the top two teams in the nation and then we have an interview with Michigan's sensational sophomore Kayli Boozer. As a freshman Kayli didn't compete aside from a few exhibition routines but she's a totally different athlete this season and is consistently bringing in big scores on beam and floor (with career highs of 9.95 and 9.9 respectively), and also has a beautiful vault that could enter the chat very soon. This week we have an interview with Mizzou's beam queen Helen Hu, who is a fifth year senior and three-time All-American on beam. Helen retired after the 2023 season but returned to the sport after traveling abroad for a year and hasn't missed a beat so far this season, scoring the first perfect 10 of the 2025 season and the first perfect 10 of her career last weekend against Oklahoma. We are so excited that we got the chance to talk with Helen about that moment as well as her decision to return to the sport. Today we're excited to be sitting down with KJ Kindler, the head coach of the 6-time NCAA Champion Oklahoma Sooners. Despite last season not ending how the Sooners wanted it to, the 2024 season was one for the history books. Oklahoma was the #1 team all season long and won its 14th and final Big 12 Championship with not only a program record score, but an NCAA team record of 198.950. KJ joins us to talk about how the team handled the heartbreak of not advancing to the NCAA finals last year, the team not being afraid to set big goals that might seem impossible, she also introduces her stellar freshmen class and gives a few updates on athlete injuries and who to watch this season. Our Coaches Corner series continues with Jay Clark, who is going into his 5th season as the head coach of the LSU Tigers and his 14th season with the program overall. The Tigers are coming off their best season in program history after breaking the program record (198.475) in 2024, posting the program's highest NQS in history (198.215), winning the programs 5th SEC title, and of course ended the season by winning the NCAA national title for the first time in program history - making LSU only the 8th school to win the title. This season Michigan is looking to return back to the top of the Big Ten – a place they are very familiar with, having won all but six Big Ten titles in the last 32 years. Before we can truly become "little," we must confront the Pharisee in ourselves. Pharisaism is religious narcissism. The Bible calls it "insolent pride."  The label "narcissist" is widely deployed to refer to people who appear to be too full of themselves, but the truth is, we all have selfish, narcissistic tendencies to some degree that we must wrestle with. I believe this "spirit of judgment" is the main wound of the Fall. Jesus' most dire warnings and strongest words were for the blind Pharisees. . Clinically, narcissism is a spectrum, and there are three "types" that give us useful information on how to deal with it in ourselves and others. Ultimately, Paul says we must "come out!" and unto our Heavenly Father in order to heal this father wound. . Frank Murphy is joined by his friend Kathryn Frady, who has been in Cleveland to direct a production of Glory Denied. Frank recorded a behind-the-scenes video at a rehearsal for the Akima Cabaret, which will take place on March 1 and 2, 2024 at the Mill & Mine.  Frank will be the emcee and auctioneer for Marble City Opera's Pop-Up Opera Party on February 24, 2024. Frank tells Kathryn that he's not a real auctioneer and that last year he faked it. Frank and Jere went to a TSO concert at Thompson-Boling Arena and recognized local violinist Julie Bélanger Roy on stage.  Frank and Jere went to a Mannheim Steamroller concert at the Tennessee Theatre. They recognized several players from the Knoxville Symphony orchestra including violinist Sean Claire and oboist Claire Chenette. She says there is a TikTok video that challenges people to steal Kia Souls. Frank saw a meme about a Kia Soul that thought it was a Tesla.  Frank was parked at St. John's Cathedral while waiting for a Marble City Opera board meeting. He saw a vehicle from WVLT across the street. The employees of the TV station flew a drone over the parking lot, which is the proposed site for a new hotel.  Frank and Jere watched a Detroit Lions playoff game but the sound on their over-the-air box doesn't work. Frank recommends watching a game with Jere's commentary. It felt the same as watching TV in a restaurant that you can see but not hear.  Frank and Jere went to a movie theater to see three episodes of The Chosen.
