This season, she was a key contributor for the Bruins on vault, bars, and floor, posting career highs of 9.975 on vault, 9.925 on bars and 9.95 on floor. She was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week three times and was also a Big Ten Co-Event Specialist of the Week. A two-time Mountain West Gymnast of the Year, she has also earned Specialist of the Year honors across the all-around and every event. In her freshman year, she competed on vault in all but one meet, notching a season-best 9.85 in her very first collegiate appearance. She took things up a notch during her sophomore season, consistently competing in both the vault and bars lineups and earning her first career 9.9 score on bars at the Big Ten Championships.Now in her junior season, she's making an even bigger contribution to the Wolverines by adding beam to the mix and scoring career highs on all three events: a 9.9 on vault, 9.925 on bars, and 9.95 on beam. This week's guests are sisters Morgan Price and Frankie Price.Morgan Price spent the first three seasons of her college career at Fisk University, competing for the first HBCU gymnastics team. She won six WCGNIC national titles and became the first HBCU gymnast to score a 10.0, earning the mark on uneven bars during her junior season. Now a senior at the University of Arkansas, she recently made history again as the first Razorback gymnast to score a 10.0 on vault.She is closing out her career alongside her sister, Frankie, a mainstay in Arkansas' vault and floor lineups. Frankie owns career highs of 9.9 on vault and 9.975 on floor — the latter matching the program record. This week, we're excited to be joined by Theresa Kulikowski-Gillespie, a 1995 Team World bronze medalist and Olympic alternate for the gold-medal-winning 1996 U.S. women's gymnastics team. Theresa competed collegiately at the University of Utah, where she was a 14-time All-American and won three individual NCAA titles — including the all-around and balance beam as a freshman in 1999.Following her gymnastics career, Theresa served as a physician assistant in the U.S. Army from 2009 to 2012, including a deployment to Iraq from 2010 to 2011. Today, she runs My Mindful Medicine, where she helps people heal and become the best version of themselves through guided meditation, support groups, and one-on-one mindfulness sessions.In 2024, Theresa published Beyond the Chalk Box, a book that explores the challenges and triumphs of former elite gymnasts through their own stories and reflections. We loved reading it and are excited to have Theresa on the show to dive deeper into the book. We've got another new face on the show, and we're very excited about this one — Ashley Johnston, who is entering her fourth season as head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.Ashley was an incredible athlete in her own right before becoming a coach. She was a 10-time All-American during her career at Alabama and helped lead the Tide to two SEC titles and two NCAA championships. As a coach, she has continued that success, keeping the program nationally competitive and guiding Alabama to back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances in 2024 and 2025.The Tide kick off the 2026 season this Friday against Clemson at 7 p.m. ET, streaming on ACC Network Extra. We continue our Coaches Corner series this week with one of our most anticipated interviews — Jay Clark from LSU. We're thrilled to welcome Jay to the show following another strong year for LSU. The Tigers captured the SEC Championship and the regular-season SEC title, spent the entire season ranked in the top three nationally, won regionals, and crowned an individual NCAA champion in freshman Kalin Chio. We're so excited about this week's Coaches Corner interview with none other than Jordyn Wieber, now in her sixth season as head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks! Even with some key injuries last season, the Razorbacks still put together a strong run. Remember, they upset both LSU and Florida when those teams were ranked No. 2 in the nation! While the end of the season didn't go quite as planned — missing out on SEC Championships and not qualifying for NCAAs as a team — we think that's just going to light a fire under them heading into this year.Expect the Razorbacks to bring the heat in 2026. We're excited to continue the Coaches Corner series this week with our interview with Utah head coach Carly Dockendorf. Utah is coming off its 50th year as a program, and even though it wasn't the ending the Utes had hoped for — finishing fourth — it was still a very successful year. They won the Big 12 title in their first year in the conference and qualified for the Final Four for the fifth consecutive year. We're kicking off the third annual Coaches Corner series with none other than Jeff Graba, head coach of the Auburn Tigers.Last season, Auburn came in with one of the most highly anticipated freshman classes in the country and looked poised to make a strong run to nationals. Unfortunately, mid-season injuries to two key all-arounders — freshman Katelyn Jong and senior Olivia Hollingsworth — made for an uphill battle. We're excited to be joined by Charleigh Bullock, who recently became the junior national champion on the uneven bars and won five gold medals at the Junior Pan American Games.Despite being a junior, Charleigh has proven herself to be one of the top bar workers in the U.S. — her routine is among the most difficult being performed right now domestically. In fact, had she been competing in the senior division this year, she still would have taken home the bars title! She also won the bars title at every single domestic competition this year. Today we are joined by fan favorite Ondine Achampong, a World and European medalist for Great Britain who was a favorite to make the Paris Olympic team before an ACL injury took her out of contention just three months before the Games. Ondine shocked the gymnastics world last season when she worked her way into Cal's beam lineup around 10 months after tearing her ACL—an injury that takes most gymnasts at least a year to recover from. Today, we're excited to be joined by Jennifer Williams — an elite gymnast from Sweden, a 2025 European Beam and Floor finalist, and an incoming freshman at Stanford University.Unfortunately, just a few days after we recorded this interview, Jennifer partially ruptured her PCL, a ligament in her knee. As a result, her elite season has sadly come to an end, and her NCAA season is now uncertain, depending on how her recovery progresses. You already know — we're huge Michigan fans, so we are especially excited about today's guest. Joining us is the brand new head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, Maile'ana Kanewa-Hermelyn.Maile has been a key part of the Michigan coaching staff for the past seven seasons — six as an assistant coach and one as a volunteer assistant. Before that, she was a gymnast at the University of Oklahoma, where she was an All-American on vault and floor, a two-time Big 12 vault champion, the NCAA runner-up on floor in 2014, and a member of two national championship-winning teams — including Oklahoma's very first NCAA title.After her competitive career, she transitioned into coaching, helping guide the Sooners to their third NCAA championship as a student assistant.My favorite fun fact about Maile (that I will say at every opportunity that I get) is that, to our knowledge, she is the only person to win an NCAA title as an athlete and a coach. She helped Oklahoma win its first title when she was an athlete in 2014 and then of course she helped Michigan win its first title as a coach in 2021. Now, she steps into the head coaching role following the legendary Bev Plocki, who led the program for 36 seasons.
