This week on Mental Gymnastics, Dr. JD Barton sits down with Ebee Price, one of the most accomplished gymnasts of her generation. A 2012 Olympic alternate, 2014 American Cup champion, and winner of the 2013 — 14 World Cup All-Around Series, Ebee went on to have even more success at Stanford, where she became a 2x NCAA champion, Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year, AAI Award winner, and one of the most decorated gymnasts in program history. In this conversation, Ebee reflects on the unique challenge of being an Olympic alternate, the pressures of balancing athletic and academic success at Stanford, and the expectations that come with being a high achiever in every area of life.Thank you to our monthly Patreon supporters: Lee B, Cookiemaster, Happy Girl, Erica S, Semflam, Amy C, Maria L, Becca S, Cathleen R, Faith, Kerry M, Derek H, Emily, Sharon B, MSU, Kimberly G, Lela M, Mara L, Jenna A, Alex M, Dana, Lidia, Maria P, Alicia O, Cristina K, Hayley B, Bethany J, Kentiemac, Marni S, Betny T, Emily C, Cathy D, Lisa T, Libby C, Thiago, Debbie, Taryn M, Amy M, Jamie S, Chuck C, Kaitlin, Susan P, LFC_Hokie, Ella, Kay, Julie B, Austin K, Jane, Sarah, Amy, Stephen S, Johanna T, Alison S, Alberto D, Kristina T, Abigail W, Jennifer K, Kate M, Naomi S, Claudia L, Erin L, Thomas B, Lauren D, Kihika M, Beth C, Amy, Renee PM, Ryan V, Brandon H, Okcaro, Tyler, Paola, Heather, Kate, Danielle, ALittleUnderRotated, Lacy, Dana C, Grace, Pat G, Lexi G, Laura N, Kathy, Katie A, Róisín, Megan J, Emily D, Britton, Ry Shep, Reyna G, William A, MB, Jackson G, Stella, Ulo F, Noah C, Melissa H, Alexis, William M, Susie, Leslie G, Catherine B, Laura L, Katy S, Kathy M, Kathy S, Okcaro, JD B, Cookiecutter, SuniFan, Caroline M, kcmojojojo, Sammy S, Fabio B, Lacie M, Sara G, Kerry H, Leah D, Margaret G, Molly, ClemsonTigersFan, Lisa B, Sarah M, Grace M, Laura A, Justin D, Jas, Kendrick C, Rich A, Ty T, Nick S, Becky E, Annsley M, Melody M, Stacey M, Erica H, Kathy, Teressa, Angela C, Bridgett C, Ashley D, Whitney J, Shelly A, Erika B,DFP, Lisa M, & Samantha T!
This is Episode Four of the Recruit Reflection Series, sponsored by Full Out Collegiate Recruiting. This week, we are joined by Claire Donahue, a D3 gymnast who recently transferred from Wisconsin Whitewater to Wisconsin Stout. Claire joins us to talk about her initial recruiting journey as a Level 10, where she dealt with a lot of injuries and didn't receive much interest from schools. She also talks about being dismissed from the team at Whitewater and making the decision to enter the transfer portal. Claire eventually found her home at Wisconsin Stout and is a great example of perseverance and dedication in continuing to do the sport she loves.Thank you to our monthly Patreon supporters: Lee B, Cookiemaster, Happy Girl, Erica S, Semflam, Amy C, Maria L, Becca S, Cathleen R, Faith, Kerry M, Derek H, Emily, Sharon B, MSU, Kimberly G, Lela M, Mara L, Jenna A, Alex M, Dana, Lidia, Maria P, Alicia O, Cristina K, Hayley B, Bethany J, Kentiemac, Marni S, Betny T, Emily C, Cathy D, Lisa T, Libby C, Thiago, Debbie, Taryn M, Amy M, Jamie S, Chuck C, Kaitlin, Susan P, LFC_Hokie, Ella, Kay, Julie B, Austin K, Jane, Sarah, Amy, Stephen S, Johanna T, Alison S, Alberto D, Kristina T, Abigail W, Jennifer K, Kate M, Naomi S, Claudia L, Erin L, Thomas B, Lauren D, Kihika M, Beth C, Amy, Renee PM, Ryan V, Brandon H, Okcaro, Tyler, Paola, Heather, Kate, Danielle, ALittleUnderRotated, Lacy, Dana C, Grace, Pat G, Lexi G, Laura N, Kathy, Katie A, Róisín, Megan J, Emily D, Britton, Ry Shep, Reyna G, William A, MB, Jackson G, Stella, Ulo F, Noah C, Melissa H, Alexis, William M, Susie, Leslie G, Catherine B, Laura L, Katy S, Kathy M, Kathy S, Okcaro, JD B, Cookiecutter, SuniFan, Caroline M, kcmojojojo, Sammy S, Fabio B, Lacie M, Sara G, Kerry H, Leah D, Margaret G, Molly, ClemsonTigersFan, Lisa B, Sarah M, Grace M, Laura A, Justin D, Jas, Kendrick C, Rich A, Ty T, Nick S, Becky E, Annsley M, Melody M, Stacey M, Erica H, Kathy, Teressa, Angela C, Bridgett C, Ashley D, Whitney J, Shelly A, Erika B,DFP, Lisa M, & Samantha T!
This is Episode 3 of the Recruit Reflection Series, sponsored by Full Out Collegiate Recruiting. This week, we're joined by Mya Jett, an uncommitted gymnast in the Class of 2027. Mya was originally committed to Iowa State on a full athletic scholarship, but as many unfortunately know, the program was cut in March, leaving several gymnasts — including Mya — without a home. Now heading into her senior year, Mya is navigating the recruiting process once again. Her story highlights just how competitive college recruiting has become, especially in this new era of roster limits, transfer portal movement, and talks of potential fifth-year eligibility.Mya was incredibly vulnerable in this episode, and we know there are many athletes in the Classes of 2027 and 2026 who can relate to the emotions she shares. From the shock of losing her original program to the rejection and uncertainty she's faced throughout this increasingly competitive college recruiting landscape, Mya offers an honest look at the challenges many student athletes are experiencing today.Thank you to our monthly Patreon supporters: Lee B, Cookiemaster, Happy Girl, Erica S, Semflam, Amy C, Maria L, Becca S, Cathleen R, Faith, Kerry M, Derek H, Emily, Sharon B, MSU, Kimberly G, Lela M, Mara L, Jenna A, Alex M, Dana, Lidia, Maria P, Alicia O, Cristina K, Hayley B, Bethany J, Kentiemac, Marni S, Betny T, Emily C, Cathy D, Lisa T, Libby C, Thiago, Debbie, Taryn M, Amy M, Jamie S, Chuck C, Kaitlin, Susan P, LFC_Hokie, Ella, Kay, Julie B, Austin K, Jane, Sarah, Amy, Stephen S, Johanna T, Alison S, Alberto D, Kristina T, Abigail W, Jennifer K, Kate M, Naomi S, Claudia L, Erin L, Thomas B, Lauren D, Kihika M, Beth C, Amy, Renee PM, Ryan V, Brandon H, Okcaro, Tyler, Paola, Heather, Kate, Danielle, ALittleUnderRotated, Lacy, Dana C, Grace, Pat G, Lexi G, Laura N, Kathy, Katie A, Róisín, Megan J, Emily D, Britton, Ry Shep, Reyna G, William A, MB, Jackson G, Stella, Ulo F, Noah C, Melissa H, Alexis, William M, Susie, Leslie G, Catherine B, Laura L, Katy S, Kathy M, Kathy S, Okcaro, JD B, Cookiecutter, SuniFan, Caroline M, kcmojojojo, Sammy S, Fabio B, Lacie M, Sara G, Kerry H, Leah D, Margaret G, Molly, ClemsonTigersFan, Lisa B, Sarah M, Grace M, Laura A, Justin D, Jas, Kendrick C, Rich A, Ty T, Nick S, Becky E, Annsley M, Melody M, Stacey M, Erica H, Kathy, Teressa, Angela C, Bridgett C, Ashley D, Whitney J, Shelly A, Erika B, JuJu & DFP!

L'Ebitda adjusted sale a 140 milioni e l'Ebit torna positivo a 31 milioni.

Kait covers the remedies phase of Google's adtech antitrust trial, Google's integration of Gemini into Chrome, and Integral Ad Science's acquisition by private equity firm Novacap. The discussion highlights how legal battles, AI rollouts, and consolidation are reshaping digital advertising. Google entered the remedies phase of its adtech antitrust trial, with the DOJ pushing for structural remedies like divesting AdX and DFP, while Google argues for behavioral fixes such as more transparent auction rules. Judge Brinkema must weigh whether forced divestitures would dismantle Google's monopoly or risk destabilizing the broader display ad ecosystem. Google integrated its AI assistant Gemini into Chrome, starting on desktop with features like page summaries, live chat, and cross-product task coordination across Maps, YouTube, and Calendar. The move follows the search antitrust trial outcome, where Google avoided severe penalties such as being forced to divest Chrome, maintaining its ecosystem dominance strategy. Integral Ad Science will be acquired by Novacap for $1.9 billion, taking the company private to accelerate AI-driven product innovation and strengthen its role in ad verification amid growing private equity investment in adtech.

Oggi l'Italia".

The field of cybersecurity is constantly evolving, and Device Fingerprinting (DFP) has emerged as a crucial technique for identifying network devices based on their unique traffic data. This is necessary to protect against sophisticated cyber-attacks. However, automating device classification is complex, as it involves a vast and diverse feature space derived from various network layers, such as application, transport, and physical. With the advances in machine learning and deep learning, DFP has become more accurate and adaptable, integrating multi-layered data and emphasizing the need to balance robust security measures. The study of DFP, especially in the context of emerging protocols like HTTP/2 and HTTP/3,remains a critical area of research in cybersecurity. This talk focuses on enhancing real-time threat detection while navigating the challenges of scalability. About the speaker: Dr. Sandhya Aneja is a researcher, inventor, and computer scientist with a strong passion for teaching. She is an Assistant Professor at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY,and was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Department of Computer Science, Purdue University. She has over 15 years of experience teaching computer science to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Delhi and the University of Brunei. As a researcher, she contributed to developing a mobile application to facilitate the matching of interests on available mobile devices and allow exchanging of messages and files. The application allows broadcasting names and a limited number of keywords representing users' interests without any connection in a nearby region. The broadcasting region creates a mobile wireless network limited by the Wi-Fi region that is around 200 meters. She also received a US Patent on this technology. As a computer scientist, she has received project funding from the University of Delhi as PI and the Universityof Brunei as co-PI. She has extensively worked on Brunei government-funded projects with IBM Researchers. She is also a contributor to Sandia and DARPA-funded projects at Purdue University.

Sean McElwee is a well-known progressive activist who started the “Abolish ICE” movement and in 2018 founded Data for Progress, a progressive think tank with an emphasis on influencing public policy through polling. DFP quickly embedded itself into the top layers of the Democratic firmament. More recently, McElwee became a close political ally and adviser to FTX founder SAM BANKMAN-FRIED. McElwee had easy access to the White House and the press. And he made sure they had access to him. He kept an open Slack channel at DFP that became a rolling conversation between McElwee, Biden administration officials, and some well-known reporters. On Saturday, November 12, the day after FTX filed for bankruptcy and SBF resigned as CEO, McElwee abruptly shuttered the Slack channel. Six days later, he and Data for Progress began negotiating his exit from the firm he had built. At the time, the reported reason for the rupture was that McElwee's well-known penchant for betting on the outcomes of elections created a conflict of interest for a polling firm. A slew of 2022 DFP polls had a GOP bias, and activists on Twitter— as well as some prominent Democrats pinging reporters— asked whether McElwee was cooking DFP's polls to affect races and cash in. Sources at DFP insist that this would have been highly unlikely, and that their polls had a GOP bias because of an oversampling of respondents via SMS. In the wake of this, DFP recently adopted a previously unreported “Gambling and Wagering Policy” that prohibits employees from betting on anything related to DFP projects or clients. The McElwee-DFP breakup was ugly, but the two sides were trying to negotiate an amicable separation agreement and a severance. Then on Dec. 13, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York unsealed an eight-count indictment against SBF. The first seven counts, which were about financial crimes, garnered the most attention. But it was the eighth count that turned heads in Washington, alleging a straw-donor scheme in which SBF funneled corporate money to candidates and committees through third parties. And SDNY alleged that SBF had help: SBF “and others known and unknown,” the indictment says, made contributions “in the names of other persons.” In the race to figure out who might have helped SBF make straw donations, McElwee's name was at the top of the list. The leadership at DFP suddenly feared they could be in the middle of a much bigger scandal.
We have officially wrapped up season 1 of the Diving for Pearls (DFP) podcast. A special thank you to all of our listeners and guests for their unwavering support. A special thank you to The Skylark Collective U.K for the 2022 podcast nomination and for amplifying the voices of women across the globe. We are truly appreciative of the international recognition and nod. In this Bonus Episode of Season 1 of DFP_UAE, I sit down with Roza Bairu, Marketing Manager at MindShift Consultants and former Marketing Executive at RBC TV in Dubai, to discuss how practicing self-reflection, developing a value system and resisting the urge to cover up our vulnerabilities, allow us to make choices about our lives and identity that are liberating and congruent with our true authentic self. Roza shares how cultivating self-awareness and self-acceptance propelled her along her own journey of personal growth and self-discovery. No longer paralyzed by the fear of other people's opinions, Roza began opening up about her struggles and letting go of her emotional armour. It was coping with the loss of her mother in 2019 that punctuated Roza's spiritual journey, compelling her to look inward and ask for help. Roza found that by being genuine and real about what she needed, not only led to better outcomes, but helped restore inner peace. Roza maintains that when we develop nourishing relationships & surround ourselves with accepting, supportive people, we let go of unnecessary stress and judgment; we learn to be vulnerable, abandon ideas of perfection, vocalize our feelings & needs and learn to live more consciously in the present moment. Earlier this year, the think tank and polling organization Data for Progress released polling that showed that voters all across the political spectrum support federal procurement of carbon removal. Researchers conducted two polls, one of New York voters on statewide legislation there and another of voters nationwide on pending Federal legislation. These two similar bills would compel the government to directly purchase carbon removals. In a February episode, we discussed the specifics of these bills with policy advocate and co-author of this report Toby Bryce. Data for Progress also released polling last year, which also found support, though low recognition, for CDR and government investment into it. This week Radhika and Chris talk with Celina Scott-Buechler of DFP about how this research was conducted, what the researchers found, and what she makes of the prospects for CDR procurement legislation. Episode #20 of the Diving for Pearls podcast has officially launched!!! In this episode, I sit down with Sandra Martinho, Dubai-based international author, health consultant, spiritualist and storyteller to discuss how practicing the art of surrender and yielding to the natural unfolding of our lives can serve as key to us being anchored in peace and freedom. A colon cancer survivor and mother of two, Sandra chronicles her healing journey in “The Dance of Life”, a book she wrote as a guide to help others reconnect to self and reclaim their personal power. It was in reconnecting with her essence, returning to who she was before cancer, that allowed Sandra to heal her body, mind and soul. In making a conscious decision to live, she reminds us to breathe through changes, feel the pain, cry the tears, and let the changes that will happen, happen. As we are unable to “disaster-proof” every area of our lives, Sandra encourages us to focus on what we can control- our responses to what's happening to us and what we can change within to become the person we want to be. She urges us to tap into our core nature, our true essence to uncover joy, happiness and purpose no matter our life circumstances. Episode #18 of the Diving for Pearls podcast has officially launched!!! In this episode, I sit down with Lydia Andrews, Wealth Advisor and Wealth & Mindset Coach, and Founder of Love Yourself Financially to discuss fundamental steps you can take to build wealth for the long-term, attract life-changing abundance and foster growth where you need it most. As someone who has had to analyze her life from both a macro and micro level, Lydia recommends tapping into every aspect of our experiences to help us process events, clarify our thinking and hone in on what truly matters. With discipline and intentionality, she believes that we can lean into kindness and compassion everyday to shift our awareness, connect with others in authentic ways and experience the success, wealth and prosperity we all deserve. Imbued with a desire to help and make an impact during some of her more formative years, Lydia, a native of Ghana, worked on supporting the disadvantaged and vulnerable through philanthropic work both in high school and college. It was her parents' teachings about “lending a hand” to enable individuals and communities achieve positive outcomes that deeply resonated with her. Anchoring herself to some of the family's core values, Lydia continued to focus on ways in which she could have real and sustainable impact on others. Through a series of career iterations and a journey of self-discovery, Lydia eventually moved to the financial sphere, focusing her efforts on providing economic development opportunities to women. Via workshops and coaching sessions, Lydia teaches women how to nurture and manage the money they have earned and grow it. In a similar vein, Lydia encourages our listeners to make courageous choices in career opportunities and relationships that will help them earn wealth, build wealth and eventually go on to preserve wealth. It is working from these three pillars (earn wealth, build wealth and preserve wealth) that Lydia believes that you can start your true wealth creation journey. Episode #16 of the Diving for Pearls podcast has officially launched!!! In this episode, I sit down with Mayowa Adegoke, a foreign correspondent for Channels TV, one of Africa's leading news stations, to discuss the issues that Nigeria and the rest of world must address, from building trust & fostering collaboration to prioritizing education & embracing innovation, in order to move towards a more equitable and sustainable path. With a push for greater transparency and accountability on the part of those charged with governance, Mayowa believes that stability and prosperity can be achieved throughout Nigeria and the rest of the Africa continent. Moving from the old, tired, oversimplistic narrative of Africa to a more balanced and hopeful one, according to Mayowa, will ultimately require a change in thinking, culture and ethos. Adamant about shifting and reframing the African narrative, Mayowa takes an intentional approach to sharing good news stories, and challenges media personnel and others to utilize their platform to keep conversations oriented in a positive direction, so as to influence, uplift and empower.Growing up in a country that has the largest economy in Africa, Mayowa was surrounded with a strong familial support system that enabled her to embrace the indefatigable “can do” spirit of Nigeria, an optimistic spirit that has sustained Nigerians for generations upon generations. Mayowa credits both of her parents for believing in her dreams and modeling persistence at an early age. As a result of their immense belief in her and her capabilities, Mayowa was able to define her worth and nurture the seeds of self-confidence in others. Mayowa, who is a champion of female empowerment, challenges women to channel the power of collaboration to be more forward-thinking, more solution-focused and take greater control of their lives. As someone who has always embraced authenticity in business and in life, Mayowa stresses the importance of living in alignment with one's personal truths. She challenges us to own who we are in order to be more deeply connected to our natural abilities, strengths, and talents and live a richer, more complete life. Please subscribe to the Diving for Pearls podcast on Apple, Spotify, Patreon, iHeart and wherever you listen to podcasts and please rate and review.
