Today, all three topics converge, and her role is to help viewers keep up with the pace of change driven by technology.Boorstin recently joined City National Bank's CEO, Kelly Coffey, for a conversation about being at the forefront of reporting on social media, the impact of technology and the lessons to be learned from women leaders.

Kelly Coffey (C-O-F-F-E-Y) is a fucking badass. She’s the force behind Strong Coffey Personal Training in New England, and the popular blog strongcoffey.com. In 1997, at over 300 pounds, Coffey was a study in how not to treat a human body. She was depressed, inactive, and uncomfortable. She had weight loss surgery only to gain much of the weight back - AGAIN. Sad, disconnected, and scared to even hope, she finally saw what the problem was - not her body or her weight, but her obsessive drive to sabotage every health- and care-based commitment she tried to make. She pieced together a practical, real-world solution to self-sabotage and the loss/gain cycle, and has maintained a healthy, comfortable weight for well over a decade. Coffey coaches women all over the world on how to do the same in her acclaimed online course, the Pleasure Principles.
After her great first episode with me (#72), Kelly Coffey of Strong Coffey Personal Training returns again and we talk about some stumbling blocks that many on their diet journey have to overcome. As the title suggests, we tackle diet resentment, sabotage from ourselves and our loved ones, plus her thoughts on when to moderate food choices and when to choose otherwise. I am overjoyed to bring you this interview today with Kelly Coffey. ACSM-certified personal trainer Kelly Coffey began dieting at age 5, and she was over 300 pounds by the time she was 18 years old. In her 20s, Coffey opted to have weight loss surgery. She lost 150+ pounds, and immediately started to gain it back, sailing back over 200 pounds. Demoralized and out of options, Coffey was forced to look at herself, her beliefs, and her behaviors in a whole new way. The principles Coffey has since lived by are the cornerstone of her work with women of all shapes and sizes all over the globe. Kelly is real, she is hilarious, she is totally un-pretentious, and she is a POWERHOUSE OF LIGHT! I am so thrilled that she accepted my invitation to come on the show!! In this episode: * Shame * The importance of radical acceptance to the emotional experiences we are having in the moment. * The key importance of our relationship with our many feelings. * Why we need to have direct personal experiences to change our lives.
