The Horseman's Corner is an original production of Howard Hale Broadcasting on the air since 1994 with over 7,000 episodes with people involved in the world of horses. I'm Howard's son Brian and we welcome you to the Horseman's Corner. I think by now everyone's heard of podcasting, but what is it exactly? Podcasting is radio on demand through the internet. Millions of people are tuning in to podcasts every day. Podcast listeners are more likely to buy a product or service as compared to other media. Of course, radio is still a solid option in the digital age and that's why you are going to contact us. Radio and podcasting work well together. Visit Hale Broadcasting to learn more about podcasting. Hey, just got off the phone with Nettie Coker. That's Annette Coker, a world-class trainer in several arenas. If you don't know who I'm talking about, keep listening to the Horseman's Corner and you'll learn more about Annette Coker and her partner Kevin Meyer. Mantz Creek Horses is located in Douglas, Wyoming where they are passionate about breeding, raising, developing and connecting with great horses. At Mantz Creek Horses, great horsemanship goes far beyond what you do when you ride. Visit MantzCreekHorses.com to read what people who have worked with Annette have to say. We personally know Annette and Kevin and have been to their ranch. We've seen their progress, we know their experience and we see especially the result of a great breeding program and excellent horsemanship. And she has two really good looking horses for sale. Two Geldings ready to go, one Gypsy Vanner and another good all-around horse that would work perfect as a rider. You can find a link to Mantz Creek Horses right on our website at horsemanscorner.com. Horsemans Corner is brought to you by Mantz Creek Horses. Go there and visit today. Their sale horses won't last long. That's it for today's program. Thanks again for listening and may God bless. I'm Brian Hale.

Kevin Meyer's Wyoming ranch roots trace to his upbringing on a remote cow-calf operation in the southeastern part of the state. His horseback skills stem from a wide range of experiences, from wrangling on dude ranches to running yearlings in the Laramie Mountains, day-working on local cattle outfits, and managing Wagonhound Land & Livestock's horse program for several years. These days, his cowboy background guides his approach to training cow horses and teaching horsemanship clinics at his facility near Douglas, Wyoming.

Greetings! For the second year in a row, Pushing The Envelope is happy to be celebrating International Tuba Day (May 1) which occurs yearly on the first Friday of May. It was founded by a gentleman named Joel Day in 1979 while attending Lower Merion High School in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being one of only two tuba players in the school band and finding a lack of respect from his fellow classmates, he decided to set a day aside for our recognition as reputable musicians. International Tuba Day was created for both tuba players and non-tuba players alike to learn more about the significance of the tuba in our musical society. For additional info, please check out the ITD website, http://www.tubaday.com/. Enjoy! This week welcome Kevin Meyer to the show! Kevin Meyer is a co-founder of Gemba Academy, which provides over 2,000 lean and six sigma videos to thousands of organizations worldwide. After receiving a degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer in the early 80s, he worked in automotive lighting for a few years before spending most of the rest of his career in medical devices at Abbott Laboratories and then president of Specialty Silicone Fabricators before starting Gemba Academy. Kevin has been heavily involved with lean organizations such as AME, and is the author of The Simple Leader: Personal and Professional Leadership at the Nexus of Lean and Zen. He lives in the small fishing village of Morro Bay, on the Pacific Coast Highway halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. In this episode, we talk about being a “Tool Head”, how the term “Transformation” is kind of a bogus way to measure Lean, and how Mission and Vision Statements pale in comparison to Principles and Values. As always - I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you get something from it! Make it a great week!
