Here it is!The next episode for your lovely ears. This is the moment we close the chapter, "Jaehaerys And Alysanne: Their Triumphs and Tragedies".We recorded this earlier in November and we were beset by several technical issues, including Stef's audio/internet totally failing for a good while. So apologies for the slow speed of getting this one out and for the fact Stef actually disappears for about 15 minutes at one point. Oops. But fear not! Because Beth was not alone! We had a guest. An absolute legend in the fandom, Lady Gwyn, from none other than Radio Westeros. She was there to help us close out this awesome section of the book. With her we talked Crumpets and Strumpets and the scariest castle in all of Westeros: The Nightfort. There was some Alyanne vs Rhaena chat and we wondered what really happened when some of the people... ummm.... dickered? This was a hard episode for Beth because this part is where Alysanne, who receives a very frosty welcome in the north, is undeniably amazing, seeing as she changes the fate of Westeros forever. We heart you Alysanne!Trigger warning: this episode contains mentions of rape and domestic violence.

Where there's a will, there's a way—whether that's a way to get back to the North or secure the Northern succession, that is. Although, it seems the way to the Twins is quite rainy, delayed, and full of time for plotting. Lady Gwyn of Radio Westeros joins us to help break down the implications of Robb's will, Jon's parentage, and the rise and fall of Catelyn's hopes. Hello and welcome back to the NotACast, the one true chapter-by-chapter podcast going through A Song of Ice and Fire one chapter a week! In this episode, friends and family come together to celebrate community and chow down. But Jeff can’t call it Christmas. Thanks Obama. This week, we: - Discuss cannibalism v. sacrifice - Bathe in the warm glow of friends and family at the harvest feast... - ...while analyzing all the little sad moments that show Bran's frustration with his life - Introduce Jojen and Meera Reed, our homeschooled kids - Talk about who their mother might really be... No regular episode next week, but we will be releasing our latest Patreon episode (talking Winterfell with Joe Buckley, author of Great Castles of Westeros) for the general public on Monday, December 30! So join us in two weeks’ time for Catelyn II, as we *sigh* finally arrive at the camp of King Terrorist himself, Renly Baratheon.
