Send us a textCersei's day goes from an extreme high to an extreme low. She airs the charges against Margaery to the entire court and knows the young queen is in hot water now. However, when Cersei visits the High Septon she discovers that she might've cooked her own goose as well. Mackelly and Simon take the temperature of the situation.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister sits in the throne room surrounded by a full court of spectators. She baits the septa representing the High Septon into revealing the charges against Queen Margaery Tyrell and her cousins. They are serious and salacious. The crowd buzzes like a bee hive. Later, Cersei and Taena Merryweather visit the Great Sept of Baelor to meet with the Tyrell girls.Margaery is confused and pleads with Cersei to take her and her cousins back to the Red Keep. Cersei informs Margaery of the charges against the Tyrells and that a trial is impending. She explains that Margaery can request a trial by combat, but her champion must be of the Kingsguard. Margaery becomes furious with Cersei and kicks her out of her cell.Cersei visits the High Septon and is happy that they agree that the Faith should conduct the Tyrell trials. She wants to take Ser Osney Kettleblack back to the Red Keep but the High Septon forbids it. He takes her to Osney. She finds the knight strung up and tortured. Osney admits he killed the previous High Septon on Cersei's command. Cersei is imprisoned and will face a trial herself. But leverages this anger to learn that Pycelle has been providing moon tea to Queen Maragery. At last something tangible she can use against her foe.At dinner with the Merryweathers, she accuses the Blue Bard of sleeping with Tommen's bride. He denies it until Qyburn works his magic. Then he sings a very different tune. If he can keep his story straight through a possible trial he'll be allowed to take the Black. Ser Osney Kettleblack is encouraged to confess the same crime to the High Septon. He agrees, but wants to actually sleep with a Queen so that his lie can have the ring of truth. She delights in sharing this news with Margaery - who is stricken, but remains hopeful. Cersei dreams of her childhood run-in with Maggy the Frog and the details of the woman's terrifying prophecy. Simon and Mackelly probably should have seen this coming.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister learns from Aurane Waters that Dragonstone has fallen but that Loras led the assault to his doom. He was grievously wounded multiple times and lies unconscious beyond the skill of any maester to heal. Cersei is delighted. She carefully hides this as she shares the news with Margaery. The young queen is devastated, but latches on to the fact that Loras still lives and seems determined to seek to revive him.More non-Tyrion dwarf's heads are placed before her. The High Septon sends an emissary rather than himself to Cersei's annoyance. The faith is trying to shut down the brothels on the Street of Silk also to Cersei's, and every sailor's, annoyance. Grand Maester Pycelle reports that Lord Gyles Rosby seems to be dying. She dreams of her meeting with Maggy the Frog, the details of whose prophecy continue to come true (she did marry the king, she did become queen), which wouldn't be a problem but the prophecy turns a lot darker after that: she'll be replaced by a younger more beautiful queen, her three children will die, and the valonqar will choke the life from Cersei. In the episode, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow arrive in Winterfell with Unsullied and Dothraki forces, after Jon Snow has pledged his allegiance to her. At Winterfell, Jon reunites with his Stark siblings Bran and Arya. In the Narrow Sea, Theon Greyjoy attempts to rescue his sister Yara, who is held captive by his uncle Euron.  Tyrion and Sansa see each other again for the first time since Joffrey's wedding and assassination. In King's Landing, Qyburn hires Bronn to assassinate Jaime and Tyrion Lannister should either survive the war. She has an unexpected drop-in by Falyse, whose husband has been killed by Bronn and also confessed Cersei's plot. Qyburn is given instructions that Falyse should never see the light of day again. Finally, she tries to take Taena roughly, as Robert once did with Cersei, but she can't get into it. Simon and Mackelly shudder at Falyse's fate.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister sits in the shadow of the Iron Throne, as Queen Margaery Tyrell implores Cersei to take immediate action against the Iron Born, who have taken the Shield Islands. Cersei thinks it's a plot by Stannis Baratheon to distract the Tyrell force from their siege at Storm's End. She suggests the Tyrells deal with their own issue with what resources they have available. When Dragonstone falls, the Redwyne fleet can then sail home and defend the Reach. Ser Loras Tyrell offers to lead an assault on Dragonstone, to expedite a resolution. Cersei can't believe her good luck. No matter the outcome of this assault, Cersei stands to come out a winner.Falyse Stokeworth comes back to King's Landing with bad news. Instead of stealthily assassinating Bronn, her husband challenged him to a joust. It went badly, and Ser Balman confessed to Cersei's part in the plot before Bronn dispatched him. Cersei dispatches her failed conspirator to Qyburn.Cersei shares a bed with Taena Merryweather and forces herself upon her new friend. Cersei meets with her new handpicked Small Council who blithely make momentous decisions with huge ramifications. Simon and Mackelly watch on in despair.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei is, not for the first time, disappointed to find the severed head of the wrong dwarf presented to her. She offers no punishment to the murderers for fear of deterring those hunting Tyrion. She and Qyburn head to the Small Council. He has prepared the skull to be sent to Dorne to satisfy the Martell's grievance against the now, presumably dead, Gregor Clegane.The Small Council is at full complement - with men Cersei has personally elevated not because of obvious talents for their positions, but due to perceived loyalty. It doesn't make for a very thoughtful meeting. They decide to stay out of the trouble in the Vale, but demand that no harm befall Petyr Baelish. That they'll ignore the flock of Sparrows that continues to descend on King's Landing. That they have no idea who the next High Septon will be. That the grumblings from the masses about the crimes of the Red Wedding are best dealt with by waiting for Lord Frey to die and hoping that his successor will give up a few rivals as scapegoats. That to pay for a new royal fleet the crown will default on its loan payments to both the Faith and the Iron Bank of Braavos. That Lord Manderly should execute Ser Davos who came to ask for White Harbor's support for Stannis' claim. That news of dragons in Essos can be safely ignored. And that Jon Snow has betrayed the neutrality of the Night's Watch by siding with Stannis.Cersei arranges a complex plan involving Osney Kettleblack seducing Queen Margaery, being caught in the act, sent to the Wall by King Tommen, murdering Jon Snow, being pardoned, and then becoming Cersei's concubine for his service. A tall order, but if he pulls it off, then a Lannister always pays their debts. Jaime bids farewell to his uncle and to his father's remains, envies Loras Tyrell's horsemanship, and frets over his twin's drinking and her new friends. Simon and Mackelly think he might have a point.Chapter ReviewJaime Lannister bids farewell to his uncle Kevan who is leaving King's Landing with his son Lancel and the bones of his brother Tywin. The conversation doesn't go quite as Jaime hoped. Kevan is furious at both twins for their incest, the shame their bringing to the family, and Cersei's refusal to toe (Kevan's version of) the party line. Kevan is headed to the Riverlands where rumor has it that Sandor Clegane has joined forces with Beric Dondarrion to terrorize the citizens. Jaime's warning to be careful manages to sound like a threat.Jamie notes that King's Landing seems emptier now that the Tyrells have left. He sees Loras Tyrell practicing jousting with envy, the younger Kingsguard is the better horseman. He finds his sister in her cups and hanging with Pycelle, Taena Merryweather, and King Tommen. Lollys Stokeworth has given birth, and the child's stepfather (Bronn) has thoughtfully named the baby Tyrion. Cersei is not amused.Jaime dismisses everyone and tries to get Cersei to see sense with her new friends. Nobody knows the true loyalties of Qyburn, Taena, nor the Kettleblacks and these have become her confidantes. She doubles down wanting the comely but untested Aurane Waters to be the Master of Ship. Busy day for Queen Cersei. She fends off mourners expressing regret and vying for her favor and works to keep the Tyrells off the Small Council. She bonds with Qyburn before finally having a highly contentious dinner with her uncle. Mackelly and Simon are in shock that Kevan went there.Chapter Review:Queen Cersei Lannister and King Tommen kneel before her father Tywin's body. The odor emanating from the late Hand of the King is not missed by those in attendance, so all are glad when the prayers end. Afterward, mourners approach Cersei to express condolences. Falyse Stokeworth offers that if her sister Lollys has a son, they'd like to name him Tywin. Cersei shoots the idea down.  She congratulates Lancel on his betrothal and his new lordship. He's not thrilled about either. He met with the high septon. Cersei reminds him of the power of silent prayer.She's approached by Mace Tyrell. He's angling to be named Hand of the King, but says his uncle Garth is on his way to King's Landing to serve as Master of Coin. Cersei has no interest in another Tyrell on the Small Council, so lies and says she's offered the role to Gyles Rosby. Mace is shocked, but his mother steers him away. Later,  she asks Rosby to be Master of Coin and to act as though it was offered yesterday.Back in the Red Keep, Qyburn says he's found a gold coin in the missing gaoler Rugen's chamber. It's from the Reach, which causes Cersei to question whether the Tyrells were involved in the plot to free Tyrion. Cersei plans to call for the headsman for Gregor Clegane. Qyburn asks to move Gregor to the dungeons, to continue to work with him.Her uncle Kevan arrives for dinner. Cersei asks him to be Tommen's Hand of the King. Kevan says he will, if he's also made King Regent. Cersei is to go back to Casterly Rock. She refuses. Kevan says he's taking his brother and going home. Cersei is awakened to the news that her father is dead. She can hardly believe it, but is not exactly broken up about it. At least her little brother is locked up and will be a head short by this evening. Ah, about that: he's escaped. Mackelly and Simon spot many of Cersei's character flaws, while ignoring their own.Chapter Review:Cersei dreams of sitting the Iron Throne. It's a great dream until Tyrion appears, and her clothes disappear. Then it takes a nasty turn. She gets cut and the Iron Throne fights her. Tyrion laughs. A maid wakes her. Not to save her from the dream but because the Kingsguard are here to let her know that Tywin is dead. Cersei's struggling to separate the dream from reality. But she begins to piece it together. She dresses and is escorted to the Tower of the Hand.En route, she ponders how she should react and how she and her rivals will use her father's death to their advantage. Jamie has followed the secret passage in the fireplace, and Loras Tyrell has been sent to check on King Tommen. She sends Boros Blount to confirm that Tyrion is still secured. She wants Pycelle to prepare her father's body, but he's been and gone and not even bothered to remove the quarrel from Lord Tywin's guts.Qyburn comes in and prepares the body, and asks what's to be done with Shae. Cersei hadn't even noticed her. She wants her removed quietly, so nobody gets the idea that Tywin was consorting with a prostitute. Jamie arrives back, no sign of the murderer. She offers him the role of Hand, he refuses. Uncle Kevan demands that they stop squabbling. Blount returns with news that Tyrion is escaped. Jaime and Brienne arrive in King's Landing. They've learned that bad news awaits them. Brienne is immediately imprisoned, while Jaime gets into it with his father and his sister. Simon and Mackelly hope for a bit more love and a lot less, respectively.Chapter Review:Jaime Lannister arrives in King's Landing with Brienne, Qyburn, and Roose Bolton's men. It's not changed that much, still stinks. They've learned en-route of the deaths at the weddings (the red and the purple). Jaime is struggling to find the correct emotion. He cares more about how Cersei is feeling and feeling sorry for himself about his hand.Upon arrival, they meet Ser Loras Tyrell, who denounces Brienne as a kingslayer - of Renly that is. Jaime arranges for Brienne to be imprisoned (temporarily, for her own good). Jaime visits the sept, where Joffrey lies in state. He finds his twin mourning over their dead child. She affirms that it was Tyrion who killed Joffrey. They have sex there and then. Jaime wants to be open about their relationship, but Cersei roughly disabuses him of that idea.Jaime visits his father, who reports that Vargo Hoat is getting his comeuppance from Gregor Clegane, who has retaken Harrenhal. Jaime is to leave the Kingsguard, marry Margaery Tyrell (Cersei will marry Oberyn Martell) and take King Tommen to Casterly Rock to be raised away from his mother. Jaime flat out refuses. Jamie's loses his hand and his will to live. Brienne helps him restore one of the two. Jamie returns the favor by sparing Brienne from rape. The pair end up in Harrenhal, where Roose Bolton has Jamie's wound tended to. Simon and Mackelly grab the smelling salts. Chapter Review:Jamie Lannister and Brienne of Tarth are in the custody of the Brave Companions. Jamie has lost his right hand. His sword hand. He's sick from the infection in the wound. He wants to die but Brienne reminds him of his reasons for living: his family and revenge.The pair are taken to Harrenhal. Jamie can't help but think of the irony. Harrenhal is where he was given his white cloak. Now he returns injured, sick, and helpless. The two are paraded in front of Lord Roose Bolton. Vargo Hoat explains his plan for Jamie. Brienne explains how she and Bolton are on the same side and so he should let her continue on her assigned mission.Roose sends Jamie and Brienne to private chambers and has Jamie's wound attended to. Jamie insists Qyburn keep his arm intact and just clean the wound. Qyburn tells Jamie of the events of the Battle of the Blackwater. We've arrived. Not quite to the finale, but only one more week of Talkin' Thrones before we wrap up the legacy of Game of Thrones and officially determine whether the problems of this final season were enough to torch the legacy. The Long Night wrapped up the army of the dead, and then the Last of the Starks set up a seasons worth of conflict that then had to be resolved in 2 episodes. And we arrive at arguably the most problematic, hated and confusingly executed episodes in the show's history, the penultimate episode of the entire show, "The Bells." And when I say confusingly executed, I mean I don't think there's ever been an episode of a television show that was so well executed, so clear with its story and had some of the best onscreen destruction and carnage scenes of the entire show, almost to the point where it elicits a traumatizing reaction, but feels so out of place in the story of Thrones, such a betrayal of so many of the characters we've spent all this time with. We have characters flipping on each other, making last minute decisions, some of which feel earned, some of which makes absolutely no sense. With both her dragon and Missandei dead, Daenerys has every intention of burning King's Landing to the ground and Cersei knows this, herding the citizens of King's Landing into the city to use as a shield. Varys attempts to do what he can to ensure this doesn't happen, attempting to poison Daenerys and appealing to Jon to take his rightful place as the king, but is instead ratted out by Tyrion and burned alive. Then the attack commences, Tyrion frees Jaime to save Cersei before she dies in the attack, Daenerys' army quickly takes the city, destroys the Iron Fleet and the scorpions, before the battle turns to a slaughter as Daenerys turns Drogon on the city and begins burning it to the ground, resulting in one of the most gruesome action sequences the show has ever put to the screen as they proceed to murder every single citizen in the city. Bunch of bodies hit the floor, as we bid goodbye to Varys, the Hound, the Mountain, Qyburn, Euron Greyjoy, Cersei & Jaime. It all ends...next week. And the one that no one's been looking forward to, see what I did there? This episode is infamous as another 8th episode that feels like a penultimate to the penultimate, wrapping up a lot of the ancellary storylines before we move on to the explosive climax that is Battle of the Bastards & Winds of Winter. The only problem? This is the episode where it really feels like D&D gave up. While not every storyline in this episode misses, a large chunk of this feels like filler, leading up to an ending action set piece that feels more at home in a Mortal Kombat video game than Game of Thrones. The Hound carries out his revenge against the men who wiped out his friends, leading him back to the Brotherhood without Banners, who have a new mission. Cersei shows the Sparrows that she is not listening to them anymore, but when Tommen bans trials by combat, she seems doomed, at least until Qyburn gives her a valuable bit of information. In the Riverlands, Brienne arrives and offers Jaime a deal to allow her to lead the Blackfish and his forces north to assist Jon & Sansa, allowing him to take the castle back peacefully, but when this fails, Jaime is forced to use Edmure as a bargaining chip. It all ends in Braavos, with a storyline resolution that gets more and more confusing as the years go on. After being rescued and treated by Lady Crane, Arya is attacked once again by the Waif, who kills Lady Crane in a manner that still is confusing 6 years later, before chasing Arya through the streets in one of the most obvious and non-secretive parkour action scenes before Arya lures her to her little hiding spot, and rather than letting us see the payoff for all those training sessions, we're instead treated to...darkness. Its confusing, its out of place, it makes no sense, and it becomes more and more apparent as the years go on that Benioff & Weiss just wanted to be done with Braavos. "Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe." Arya chillingly says as she gets revenge for the Red Wedding at long last. "When people ask you what happened here, tell them the North remembers.  Tell them Winter came for House Frey."  Season 7 comes out of the gate hot as House Frey meets its long awaited demise.  Bran beyond The Wall sees the Night King and the army of the dead advancing.  Meera and Bran arrive at the Night's Watch and tell Edd to send a raven of the looming peril.  Jon Snow at Winterfell tells the northern houses about dragonglass and needing as many able bodied fighters as possible.  The Wildlings become the Night's Watch at Eastwatch By The Sea, Sansa and Jon disagree about the future of two great houses and Cersei sends Jon a letter telling him to go to King's Landing and bend the knee or suffer the same fate of all traitors.  In King's Landing, Cersei and Jaime argue over how to handle the threat to them on all sides.  High Garden to the West, Dorne to the South, Dragonstone to the East and Winterfell to the North.  Euron Greyjoy attempts to make an alliance with Cersei which she declines.  Euron tells her that he will not return until he brings her a "priceless gift" to make her reconsider.  Meanwhile, Sam is still at Oldtown working in the Citadel with the Archmaester, Brienne is training Podrick at Winterfell and we get an unexpected cameo from a certain Irish singer! Arya learns that the Great Sept of Baelor was destroyed and that the men she is sitting with were charged with keeping the peace because they heard there was trouble with the Freys at the Twins.  They ask Arya why she's going to King's Landing to which she relies "I'm going to kill the queen." While this is going on, the Hound has to face a mistake from the past.  Thoros of Myr has the Hound look into the flames and the Hound sees a vision. Back in Oldtown, We see the Cats Paw Dagger in the old archives of the citadel and learn its double use and Sam realizes where the living can find as much dragon glass as needed.  A certain grayscaled hero makes his appearance right before we see the Dragon Queen arrive at Dragonstone in Westeros for first time.  Daenerys asks "Shall we begin?"  Daenerys and her advisers make plans for her next move and she is skeptical of Varys.  "Swear this to me Varys, if you ever think I'm failing the people, you won't conspire behind make back. You'll look me in the eye as you have done today and you'll tell me how I'm failing them." Daenerys tells him.  Varys responds "I swear it my queen." to which Daenerys replies "and I swear this, if you ever betray me, I'll burn you alive."  Melisandre arrives and we learn a certain loophole to the prince that was promised from Missandei and Melisandre urges Daenerys to summon Jon Snow.  Daenerys agrees, but adds a required addendum to the summons.  In King's Landing Cersei is trying to manipulate and gain as many allies as possible while Jaime specifically attempts to gain Randyll Tarley's alliance from Olenna Tyrell.  Sam meets the grayscaled man and realizes who it is, Qyburn has a plan for Daenerys' dragon's while Daenerys' war council has a plan of it's own.  Grey Worm and Missandei share a passionate goodbye, we learn what the name for a Song of Ice and Fire was initially intended to be and Sam disobeys a direct order from the Archmaester.  Arya sees an old friend at an inn which causes her to change her mind and go North to Winterfell instead of South to King's Landing.  Jon receives letter from Sam detailing where Jon can find all the dragon glass he needs and Jon makes an executive decision.  Ellaria and Yara have a steamy interaction right before their ship is attacked.  Euron shows his true prowess as a warrior and naval commander, killing two Snakes and taking a Greyjoy captive.  Keep it rolling with us here at the Riddikulus Crew as we are winding down on this epic Game of Thrones arc.  We are in the deep waters now as we have gotten to the point of no return with the only seasons left being the most hotly debated ones that Benioff and Weiss wrote without any books to lean on.  As Melisandre warns us in Season 7 Episode 2,  "The Long Night is coming.  Only the prince who was promised can bring the dawn."

In Bravos, Jaquen H'gar tells Arya "A girl is not a beggar anymore." Lord Smalljon Umber back at Winterfell comes to Ramsay for an alliance and even though they don't see eye to eye, Lord Umber has a gift for Ramsay.... "Welcome home, Lord Stark" Ramsay tells Rickon Stark.  Sansa pleas with Jon to get an army to retake Winterfell back from the Bolton's, Tyrion appears to have struck a deal with the Good Masters of Astapor, the Wise Masters of Yunkai and their friends in Volantis and Daenerys comes up with a plan of her own.  Jon Snow receives a threatening letter from Ramsay Bolton in which he and Sansa learn that Ramsay has Rickon and now they have no choice but to try and take Winterfell back.  Daenerys meets with the great khal's while they attempt to decide her fate, until she decides for herself in a fiery blaze of glory.  Stick with the Riddikulus Crew as we tackle the next wave of events in the wildly thick plot of season 6! Varys wants Jon to take the Iron Throne, but Jon refuses to betray Daenerys. After Tyrion informs her of Varys' plot, she has Drogon burn Varys. Daenerys plans to incinerate King's Landing, but Tyrion conspires with Jaime to surrender the city if Jaime can convince Cersei to abdicate and secretly leave. As Jaime, Arya, and Sandor infiltrate King's Landing, Daenerys has Drogon destroy the scorpions, Iron Fleet, and the Golden Company, allowing her army to enter. The Lannister forces are overwhelmed and surrender, but an enraged Daenerys attacks the city on Drogon, indiscriminately incinerating soldiers and civilians. The allied army follows her lead, slaughtering all in their path, horrifying Tyrion and Jon. After entering the Red Keep, Jaime kills Euron Greyjoy, but is mortally wounded. The Hound convinces Arya to abandon killing Cersei, then engages the Mountain, who kills Qyburn. The Hound and the Mountain fight fiercely, the brothers dying together after falling into flames. Cersei and Jaime reunite and flee, but their escape tunnel collapses, blocking their escape. Jon calls for retreat as civilians flee a disintegrating King's Landing on fire. Arya, amid the destruction, barely escapes the city alive.

Jon reunites with Bran and Arya, and learns to ride a dragon at Daenerys's goading. Sam learns that Daenerys executed his father and brother, then Bran tells him to break the news to Jon that he is really Aegon Targaryen. Tormund, Beric and Edd visit a haunted house. The episode ends with Jaime arriving at Winterfell to find Bran waiting for him in the yard.

Daenerys sends the sea snakes on Yara's fleet to gather the forces of Dorne, sends the Unsullied to attack Casterly Rock and plans a siege of King's Landing. She has a heart-to-heart with Varys, warning him to be more honest and loyal than he has proved to past Kings.  Melisandre shows up to pitch her flexible prophecy. Grey Worm and Missandei share a touching, and naked, farewell. Cersei tries to woo the bannermen of Highgarden to her side to repel the foreign invaders. Qyburn invents the ballista. Arya visits Hot Pie and discovers that Jon is King in the North. Jon leaves for Dragonstone in hopes of getting Daenerys's support against the White Walkers, and access to the Dragonglass mine.  He leaves Sansa in charge after punching Littlefinger in the dick. Sam performs a gross and painful grayscalectomy on Jorah.  Brutal pirate action on the high seas when Euron's fleet attacks Yara's, and we're treated to a thrilling sequence that wipes several more players off the board.

Más tarde, Cersei pide a Qyburn mandarle una carta a Petyr. En el norte, Roose le comenta a Ramsay la necesidad de fortalecer su ejército y le pide que se case. Petyr le comenta a Sansa que consiguió una boda con Ramsay, pero tras su negación por tratarse de la familia que traicionó a los Stark logra convencerla afirmándole que es la oportunidad de vengarse de ellos. Petyr reitera su alianza con Roose, quien tiene dudas al saber que le llega una carta de Cersei. En Braavos, Arya deja atrás todas sus pertenencias, para convertirse en nadie. En Volantis, Jorah secuestra a Tyrion afirmando que lo llevará con la reina.

After a brief hiatus to Dorne for our honeymoon, we are back! Season 6, Episode 8 - No One. Well some say this is the lamest episode yet for Game of Thrones. We found some delights in the small things... like Qyburn's eyebrows, the Waif's stiff joints, Jaimie's hand, Grey Worm's jokes and Black Fish's amazing hair. So it's time to sit back, inhale the dragon's breath and ready yourself for Game of Stoned!  In Episode 8 we finally finish the whole Arya in Bravos thing and can move on with our lives! Bronn is reunited with his buddy tri-Pod and teaches him the fine art of dirty fighting. Black Fish's story ends (disappointingly).  The hound gets a new pair of boots.
