The concept of women empowerment has created a global movement that has driven many women to tap into their full potential and get out of their comfort zone. But has this concept evolved to do the oppositve of what it intended? Is Women Empowerment Actually Disempowering?Today's guest is Diana Perkovic. She's the founder of Good Girl Mafia, a female empowerment company, where "women supporting women" is more than just a cool catch phrase, it's a way of being. As an experienced Empowerment Coach, Diana has come to understand that the way to achieve empowerment amongst women is to cultivate, grow and unleash personal empowerment in one woman at a time. Diana knows firsthand what it's like to be perceived as confident and empowered, while feeling like the complete opposite. Confident enough to interview stars like Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Cary and Mary J Blige on live TV, yet still …disempowered. She couldn't make the life changes that were needed. Diana managed to get unstuck, pivot and thrive… fully empowered. Now she is on a mission to make the empowerment process much easier for other women. She teaches women how to do what she did: Self Empower. She has a Master Certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming, she is a twice-Certified Life Coach, Motivational Coach, Social & Emotional Intelligence Coach. Tristan Cole is an award-winning singer-songwriter, model, actor, and dancer whose genre of music includes Country, Pop and R&B. We had a great talk about live performances versus video performances and how getting back out on the road is letting Tristan connect with his fans again on a personal level. He shares his thoughts on the current Pop/RnB genres of music and why he is so happy writing and performing country songs that trace back to his roots in North Carolina. Turning to the ratchet news, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy have started the first celebrity feud of 2017. Brown became infuriated with the rapper after he liked an Instagram picture of Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. Hopefully this won't get too out of hand, we'll see? Singer-songwriter, Trey Songz says he was recently ejected from the MGM National Harbor. Media outlets report the 32-year old Songz, says in an expletive-laced post on Instagram the he was playing cards at the Maryland casino Dec. 23 when a man nearby started "talking crazy" to him. He says his security detail approached the man, and MGM officials booted Songz and his crew from the casino, saying they were being "unruly." The incident didn't result in criminal charges. The New Year was also brought in with a "bang", to say the least with Mariah Cary as she was a show stopper during her New Year's Eve performance in Times Square, New York. This time, it wasn't her platinum vocals that captured global attention, but a rare musical meltdown in front of a live audience of millions on ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest". An audio track malfunction was reported while Carey was lip-syncing of some of her biggest songs onstage in front of a live audience of millions. Just moments before the ball dropped the five-time Grammy Award-winning artist's performance. We also covered 2017 Zodiac predictions.
