Annie Donley is Top 3 Funniest Living Comedians, period. If you don't know her, I'm excited for this to be your introduction. She gets chaotic talking about pulling her ass and tits out at comedy shows, and within 20 minutes she's describing the physical experience of motherly love. We also talk about the need to perform after becoming a mother and the possibility of her son listening to this episode years from now and hearing himself as a baby yelling in the background. Enjoy, and love Annie as much as I do! Oscar Francis (on NZ Men's Rights Activist summit) Interview by Àniwa Codyre on Radio One 91fm Dunedin
We're just a bunch of straight white guys who'd like to say, "F U" to the MRA's, so we're discussing the MCU's newest hero, Carol Danvers in CAPTAIN MARVEL (2019). Yes, Tom's theme this week is "pissing off the Men's Rights Activists," and Steve's pairing is Niki Caro's WHALE RIDER (2002), a film that definitely does not feature Alaskan Inuits, but does feature a young Maori girl whose traditionalist grandfather refuses to recognize her ability to lead their people. We ask the tough questions, like why Thor can survive a neutron star but can't kill Thanos, and which character from Captain Marvel would look best with a mustache. Fair warning, this episode gets shamelessly nerdy. (Did we mention that MRA's can get bent?) --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/buried-cinema/support
[PIZZA FUND ONLY. $12 LEVEL AND UP - http://podawful.pizza] I'm tired of all the Alt Right trolls saying women can't be funny. Amy Schumer used to be VERY funny, and I believe she still can be. We have to get her into comedy boot camp now, to shut up all these incel Men's Rights Activists for good. This week we get into the weeds with a men's rights activist. Title IX requires gender equity in higher education. Traditionally it's been used to secure equality of opportunity for women, but now almost 60% of college students are women. Does Title IX protect men as well? Dalton & Nick speak with Kursat Christoff Pekgoz, who's filed a landmark Title IX complaint against several universities. The questions we explore speak to what counts as *fairness* in a rapidly changing world.

Kursat Pekgoz is a proud Men's Rights Activist who is filing title ix complains against big universities for having too many affirmative action scholarships for women. He was recently featured in NBC Nightline News for his efforts. On his website he shares with us how we can do the same thing. His belief is that women are the majority, yet they are being siphoned into schools as if they are still a repressed minority. David Futrelle of We Hunted the Mammoth joins the DOOMED with Matt Binder livestream to talk the history of the toxic Men's Rights Movement. From it's sexist roots with the likes of Warren Farrell to the rise of the misogynist "Men's Rights Activists" (aka MRAs) on the internet with Reddit, Stefan Molyneux, and Paul Elam's website, A Voice For Men. We also discuss the incel moment in mainstream media after Alek Minassian, a self-identified "involuntarily celibate" murdered 10 people with his van in Toronto, why incels have deified spree killer Elliot Rodger, the ridiculousness of Ross Douthat's "redistribution of sex" take, and how the dangerous incel subculture is and what can be done about it.
Stand up comedian Erin Lynn O'Connor (Cinderblock Comedy Festival) joins the podcast and Menschel Army today! What is male privilege? What is female empowerment? Is it misogynistic to criticize feminism? Is it wrong to care about “men’s rights”? The argument has erupted again in Australia amid protests over a new American documentary funded by Men's Rights Activists. The filmmaker, an “ex-feminist” woman, had a controversial TV interview with today's guest, the Aussie television personality Rachel Corbett. Protests erupted. The film's premiere was canceled. Rachel sits down with Josh to hammer out her thoughts about feminism, equality, and and the unfairer sex. An earlier version of this conversation was briefly released in error last week. Whatever you're expecting from this episode, gird your loins for a wild surprise! Very fun comedian Elle Eckley stopped by the Lizard's Den to argue that the Patriarchy (the social system that defines our gender roles and keeps women down) is actually a global conspiracy. Which meant that Katelyn had to argue the reverse. It's Social Justice Warrior vs Men's Rights Activist in this episode, and everyone took part in the uncomfortable but still fun work of trying to be a more open-minded person. Did we do it perfectly? No! But imperfect conversations are what podcasts are for! Take the journey with us and see who convinces who.
Why are all Men's Rights Activists all fat, ugly, losers? Oh, wait. Think we just answered that.
In this episode, the Chicks -- and Jeff! -- turn their attention to that most confusingly reviled summer remake, Ghostbusters. Spanning from analysis of how "cosplay-ish" the trailer felt to what downright just worked in this film, every angle is dissected. Did it live up to our fond memories of the original 80's classic? Or are our childhoods legitimately ruined and our psyches irrevocably damaged? How did the media's treatment of every tiny reveal, from the original announcement to the opening weekend, help or hinder? Everything is on the table and nothing is safe -- except Mike Hat, the anxiety dog. Listen in on our round-table ramblings, and comment to let us know your thoughts! The panel: Jen Wise, Carolyn Wise, Mindy Inlow, Angie Fiedler Sutton, Heather French, Sonya Rodriguez, Kathryn Sanders, Jeff Hackworth
Thanks to our Patreon donors (www.patreon.com/ttwasteland), we've got another Bonus episode! Hub is joined by Comic Reflections host Nicholas Prom, and the two of them take a look at the Titan's appearance in World's Finest #205. Hub mispronounces some things, and we learn that Men's Rights Activists are created when Superman punches dragons. Stop punching dragons, Superman!!
This week, the Pats sit down with Kathryn Fallucco to discuss Angel One, a mysterious planet where the Enterprise crew must negotiate with a female-dominated oligarchy, rescue a rogue band of Men's Rights Activists, and control Riker's libido.
Joined once again by Lacey Day, we take on the 1994's Jim Carrey vehicle, The Mask. Based off the Dark Horse Comics property and developed by Dark Horse Entertainment, The Mask deviates strongly from its violent source material and becomes a kid-friendly, living cartoon. Bolstering the rising career of Jim Carrey and launching the career of Cameron Diaz, the film was both wildly successful (being the second highest-grossing comic book film of all time, behind only Batman) and critically well received. In this episode, we establish that 2016 Stanley Ipkiss would be a Men's Rights Activist, we all love 90's tropes except for pollution jokes, Allen hates sports radio, but loves when dogs wear things on their heads, Steven hates Ben Stein, and Lacey Day thinks Cameron Diaz is a babe.Ipkiss our asses.Email: fourcolorfilm@gmail.comTwitter: @fourcolorfilmFacebook: facebook.com/fourcolorfilmWebsite: fourcolorfilm.com

Karen Straughan is a self-styled "anti-feminist" and spokesperson for the group Men's Rights Edmonton. She has a popular blog (http://owningyourshit.blogspot.com) and YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/girlwriteswhat) where she talks about a range of gender-related issues, in particular fathers' rights and domestic violence against men. Watch the interview to see whether she and Cenk Uygur agree or disagree over issues like: - "Excessive" alimony and child support judgments against wealthy men in divorce proceedings. - Whether early feminists were more interested in gaining more privileges at the expense of men rather than true equality. - If circumcision of boys is equally bad as female genital mutilation. - If suffragettes were true heroes or if they were fighting for rights that they would have soon been granted anyway.
