Reflection: Consider the prophecies from Isaiah 9:1-7 and Miach 5:2. How do you see these fulfilled in Jesus' birth?Think about the circumstances that led Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. What do they show you about God's sovereignty? What promises has God already fulfilled in your life? How do you keep the memory of His faithfulness fresh? What promises of God are you waiting to see fulfilled? How does the perfect fulfillment of God's promise to send the Messiah encourage your confidence in His faithfulness? In prayer, thank God for the perfect fulfillment of His promise through Jesus. Confess places where your confidence in His faithfulness is weak and ask Him for increased trust, belief and hope. Subconscious Realms Episode 42 - Tuatha Dé Danan - The Fomorians PT2 - Gary Wayne. Ladies & Gentlemen, I gets no better whatsoever & I lost count how many times my mind was blown within the first 30 minutes alone. My, Oh, My, Oh, My..prepare to be dragged into that other Intense Tuatha Dé Denan Dimension in Expert Fashion with Sir Gary Wayne! All in all This particular Mythos happens to be the most Fascinating Pantheon, Period. Tuatha Dé Danann were descended from Nemed, leader of a previous wave of inhabitants of Ireland. They came from four cities to the north of Ireland—Falias, Gorias, Murias and Finias—where they taught their skills in the sciences, including architecture, the arts, and magic, including necromancy. According to Lebor Gabála Érenn, they came to Ireland "in dark clouds" and "landed on the mountains of [the] Conmaicne Rein in Connachta", otherwise Sliabh an Iarainn, "and they brought a darkness over the sun for three days and three nights". They immediately burnt the ships "so that they should not think of retreating to them, and the smoke and the mist that came from the vessels filled the neighbouring land and air. Therefore it was conceived that they had arrived in clouds of mist".Led by king Nuada, they fought the First Battle of Magh Tuireadh on the west coast, in which they defeated and displaced the native Fir Bolg, who then inhabited Ireland. In the battle, Nuada lost an arm to their champion, Sreng. Since Nuada was no longer "unblemished", he could not continue as king and was replaced by the half-Fomorian Bres, who turned out to be a tyrant. The physician Dian Cecht replaced Nuada's arm with a working silver one and he was reinstated as king. However, Dian Cecht's son Miach was dissatisfied with the replacement so he recited the spell, "ault fri halt dí & féith fri féth" (joint to joint of it and sinew to sinew), which caused flesh to grow over the silver prosthesis over the course of nine days and nights. However, in a fit of jealous rage Dian Cecht slew his own son. Because of Nuada's restoration as the leader, Bres complained to his family and his father, Elatha, who sent him to seek assistance from Balor, king of the Fomorians. **
Shelly searches The Underkeep for proof that Balor and Bres are involved in the murder of Miach. Along the way she learns the truth about the glowing orbs and that, maybe, mud can be your best friend. Filthy Henry does what the fairy detective does best: annoys beings of endless magical power so that they focus on him instead of what they should be looking at. Bres tasks The Deer with tracking down Shelly, a task the killer is only too delighted to take on.
Filthy and Shelly discuss the case in more detail, trying to figure out the real reason Miach was killed as they both suspect it is not as obvious as plain old murder. Trent kicks in his dastardly plan to frame somebody for the murder of one Celtic God. An arrest is made, while Filthy Henry spots a familiar face in the crowd that may know more about what is going on than they should. PLUS A BONUS: As a thanks for getting us into the top 20 fiction chart on Apple, Niall has shared the complete 'Impossible Victim' theme earlier than planned. Stick around until the end for the full tune.
Trent's honestly dishonest plan is off to a slow start. Meanwhile Balor gives Filthy Henry and Shelly a lesson on how tough life was in Ireland, explaining how the people of Ireland were shown how bad things could be if you didn't try to help yourself instead of praying all the time. The Terms agreed upon after the War of the Gods are finally revealed. The fact that Miach has been killed is just as worrying to the Gods Below as those Above...but does Balor know more about the murder than the ancient god is letting on?
Filthy Henry reveals his half-baked plans to use the stolen godly object so they can get some more clues for the case. Shelly and the fairy detective watch some magical replay of Miach's murder, along with a fairly ironclad alibi for Dian Cecht. An unexpected visitor at Filthy Henry's apartment stops Shelly from learning about the fairy detective's parentage...then takes them out for lunch.
Trent weighs up some ethical quandaries in order to avoid a fate worse than death. He partakes in some questionable arts and crafts, without fully knowing if his plan will work or not. Shelly interviews the prime suspect in their murder; Dian Cecht. She learns that at the end of the day gods are just like humans; emotional beings. Although she wonders if it is all an act to throw them off the scent. Dian Cecht tells Shelly about Miach and how talented at healing the dead god was. Filthy Henry has done what Filthy Henry always does...something he shouldn't have done.
Trent weighs up the choice he must make, or risk facing more malevolent magic from Bres. Filthy and Shelly are given a tour of a godly hoarder's home. Shelly gets to interview Dian Cecht - the Prime Suspect in Miach's murder. A secret is nearly revealed that could change things dramatically.

Airmed is the daughter of the great Dé Danann physician, Dían Cécht, part of a family of healers. Together, they create the healing well of Sláine, which restores injured warriors at the Second Battle of Moytura. But do the meanings of their names tell a different story? In our revisit to what may seem at first reading, a side story in the great battle saga, join the the Story archaeologists as they re-evaluate the role of Airmed and her family, finding their actions central to the main theme of the epic Moytura story. In this episode, and our update, we referenced many other episodes, including our entire second series on Moytura.. However, for now, we will include a couple of the most relevant links. The 14 Track album is a sincere blend of Medieval Celtic Rock, unique to the Dolmen spirit. The band purposely composed 'Banquet' as a forerunner to "Nuada" a second album release due for this year (2014) in May. It was decided after they had finished their 2013 Euro Tour, that there were to many songs for Nuada, and more in production, so decided that Nuada should be split and Banquet should introduce an exciting yet bizarre theme of which the band are presently enchanted, hence laying a musical foundation for 2014 the "Nuada, God of the Sun Tour" and the adventure of musical discovery. You can buy Banquet on The Dolmen website. News: The Four-Cornered Castle (Songbook) by Damh the Bard The Four-Cornered Castle (Songbook) "This chord book contains the chords from my last three studio albums, The Cauldron Born, Tales from the Crow Man and Antlered Crown and Standing Stone". As with Songbook 1 there is no musical notation in the book - Damh doesn't read music himself - but the chord shapes and locations within the lyrics will show you more about his writing process, and how to play the songs as he does. He says: "As with my last songbook, I hope you enjoy singing these songs around your camp fires, in your covens and groves, or simply on your own or with friends." Get strumming! News: Edge of Dreams 2 by Phil Thornton Edge of Dreams 2 Phil Thornton's first album for New World back in 1986, Edge of Dreams, developed from a 5 minute demo at the 'Enid' studio which at that time was based a few miles from Halesworth in Suffolk. The Enid's lead guitarist Stephen Stewart had by that time developed into a brilliant producer, so when New World gave me a budget to record an album for them it was a dream come true. Phil has let us know that he is currently working on a follow-up to this album. Keep your eyes on his website or Facebook page for further news! Good luck Phil! 500 Tub Thumps by Pandora Celtica Faerie Revel Pandora Celtica is a Dark Celtic Faerie a cappella band local to Denver. The World Drum in front of Philip's Altar, pic by Philip The Prayer for Mother Earth We are all human beings, all people, you, me, our neighbours. No matter where you live in this world, if it is in Africa or South-America, if it is in Asia, Europe or U.S.A, we are all sisters and brothers in humanity. All people of the world. Whether rich or poor, whatever colour, religion or political thinking, we are all residents of this one planet, Mother Earth. The time has come to answer the questions. Do we really want to destroy our home? Do we really want war, hunger or disasters? Do we really want to give our next generations a planet in such a condition that there will not be any hope for survival? Mother Earth is crying. She is shivering in fear of losing all her entrails, as we dig and drill to get hold of what we think is our right towards a better wealth. Mother Earth is crying. Soon she will not have any tears left, and then it will be too late. The time has come to unite and stand together. Please, I ask you, take each other’s hands, lift them high and make a prayer while The World Drum sings her song and we feel her heartbeat. It is the heartbeat of Mother Earth. It is our heartbeat, from each and one all over the world. It is the heartbeat of life itself. Let us join together as one that this heartbeat may continue. Philip, Joe & Us, pic by Mike My Sons for Evermore by Philip Shallcrass Lord of the Wildwood My Sons for Evermore is a soulful tribute to the love a father carries for his sons, and the feelings that Philip experiences as he contemplates their venturing forth into manhood. "Sitting at home one misty morning, gazing from my window at a grey, cloudy day, it struck me that soon my sons would be making their own ways in the world and I'd be rattling around at home alone much of the time. "The words and tune of this song came into my head all in a rush and this draft version was recorded soon after via a Skype headset plugged into my computer. I'll re-record it 'properly' for my next CD (which will probably be called 'Lord of the Wildwood'), but I kinda like this rough and ready first take. It has a quality that the Welsh call hiraeth, a sort of melancholy yearning after times and things past."
