As the week draws to a close, today's practice helps you mindfully transition from your work life to your personal life. It's a crucial step in preventing stress from carrying over into your home, helping you be more present with your loved ones and for yourself. WELCOME TO THIS WEEK'S SERIES: "THE FIVE-MINUTE RESET" Welcome to The 5-Minute Reset, your daily dose of calm in a chaotic world. This series is designed for anyone who feels they don't have enough time to meditate, proving that even a few minutes can profoundly change your day. Each episode is a focused, bite-sized practice that will help you de-stress, re-center, and reclaim a sense of peace, no matter how busy you are. By the end of this week, you'll have a powerful toolkit of quick techniques to use anytime, anywhere. This is day 7 of a 7-day meditation series, "The Five-Minute Reset," episodes 3367-3373. YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE Go on a Conscious Breathing Quest! Throughout this week, your challenge is to practice one conscious breath before reacting. When you feel stress, anger, or frustration rise, simply pause for a moment and take a single, deep, intentional breath. This simple action creates a small but powerful space between stimulus and response, allowing you to choose a calmer reaction instead of an automatic one. Practice this awareness consistently throughout your week to create a new, healthier habit. YOUR MEDITATION JOURNEY DURING THIS WEEK'S SERIES Day 1: Body Scan for Grounding Day 2: Affirmation: "I connect to my inner joy." Day 3: Breathing for Focus Day 4: Kubera mudra for prosperity Day 5: Seventh chakra interconnectedness focus Day 6: Flow meditation combining the week's techniques Day 7: Weekly review meditation and closure SHARE YOUR MEDITATION JOURNEY WITH YOUR FELLOW MEDITATORS Let's connect and inspire each other! In this special episode, Gresham Harkless reflects deeply on the concept of starting anew, particularly in light of the uneven success between his digital marketing efforts, which are gaining traction, and his franchise brokering business, which hasn't met expectations. He emphasizes the difficulty, but necessity of sometimes stopping what's not working and starting anew, while still leveraging the lessons and small wins gained along the way. Gresham reconnects with the determined, focused attitude he had when first launching his business, locking in despite a lack of support or recognition. He aims to pivot toward creating meaningful content, nurturing referral relationships, and embracing a new approach that aligns better with his goals. Can you really heal your body from within—without medication or expensive treatments? In this powerful episode of The Science of Self-Healing, Dr. Odell explores one of the most overlooked keys to physical and emotional wellness: the vagus nerve. Known as the "wandering nerve," the vagus connects your brain to your heart, gut, lungs, and more—regulating digestion, immune response, inflammation, and even your ability to feel calm and connected. He'll also explain the anatomy and function of this remarkable nerve, how it influences the autonomic nervous system, and why it's essential to your body's natural healing process. You'll also discover the latest on polyvagal theory, how to improve vagal tone, and practical, accessible ways to stimulate the vagus nerve naturally—like breathwork, cold exposure, chanting, laughter, and even meaningful eye contact. This episode isn't just science—it's an invitation to slow down, tune in, and awaken your body's deep wisdom to heal, restore, and thrive.
The Green Debate Show returns with Uncle JJ discussing the latest developments in the NBA's trading scene, focusing on the Boston Celtics. In this episode, we delve into the recent trade involving Kristaps Porzingis, who now joins the Atlanta Hawks to team up with Trae Young in a significant three-team deal also involving the Brooklyn Nets. Uncle JJ reflects on the Celtics' strategic decision to reset amidst a hefty salary cap, moving big contracts like Porzingis and Holiday to free up space. This episode provides insights into potential future moves for the Celtics, including the possible trade of Jalen Brown and what it means for the team's prospects in the coming seasons. The discussion also touches upon the rebuilding strategies of other NBA teams and the ripple effects of these trades on the Eastern Conference's competitiveness.
Ever feel like you're spiritually stuck? You're doing the worship. Saying the right words. But deep down, it feels like something's off - like your heart is buffering. In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explores what it means to experience a true spiritual hard reset. Just like a device overloaded with too many apps, we build habits - some helpful, many harmful - that eventually slow us down or shut us off completely. This is about breaking the patterns that are quietly draining you - whether it's your emotional triggers, your autopilot sins, or your dependency on comfort routines. Sometimes growth comes from pausing long enough to reset everything.
“Twilight” 20th-anniversary reflections As anomalies in the Delphic Expanse rock the Enterprise, T'Pol is trapped under debris and Archer works to rescue her. Although he pulls her out just in time, another wave smacks him head-on and knocks him out. Even worse, the wave deposits interspatial parasites in his hippocampus. He is also left with anterograde amnesia, leaving him without the ability to form long-term memories. One morning, he awakes to find that he's been shacking up with T'Pol for the past 12 years, that he has a Vulcan haircut, and that the Xindi conflict is over—and Earth lost. In this episode of Warp Five, hosts C Bryan Jones and Matthew Rushing continue our 20th-anniversary retrospective that takes you through all of Star Trek: Enterprise, one episode at a time. Happy Sunday, Heal Squad! On this Sunday Setup, we set you up with a reminder that the only thing permanent… is change. From old-school CB radios and late-night talk shows to UFOs and overnight true crime, we talk nostalgic, what's been lost, and what might still be worth reclaiming. We talk gratitude, real, daily, life-shifting gratitude. We break down The Magic, a 28-day progrum that helps you transform one thank-you at a time. We talk the power of acknowledging what's good—even when it's hidden in a speeding ticket, a utility bill, or a past hurt. Because when you shift your lens, the blessings start showing up. We talk stepping into full power—mentally, spiritually, and yes, even physically (200 tons of stone, anyone?). And how the energy you put out becomes the invitation for what's next. This week, the takeaway is simple: nothing lasts forever—so why not choose gratitude in the now? They also met with instructors Ruth, Craig, Dylana, and Sarah, who bring passion, experience, and approachability to everything from kayaking to archery, helping make the outdoors accessible and fun for everyone. Bean — And Why More People Need to Do This You don't usually associate archery safety talks with jokes about Sasquatches or see your kid aim an arrow at a tennis ball in the rain and absolutely light up. But that's exactly what happened when we spent a day with the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery Programs at Lake Nockamixon. This wasn't just a video shoot or podcast episode. It was the kind of day that sticks with you. Not because it was perfect (it rained), but because it was real. And more people need this kind of real right now. Listen to the Episodewww.lehighvalleywithlovemedia.com/podcast/llbeanoutdoordiscovery Explore the Programshttps://www.llbeanoutdoors.com/quakertown-pennsylvania “We want to give you the best first experience you could have.” That's what Lindsey Johnson, Program Coordinator and ACA Level 1 Kayak Instructor, told us early on. And it's not something you'd expect to take seriously — until you spend time with the instructors she works with. People like Ruth, who's been doing this for 15 years and still lights up when she talks about getting people on the water.Or Craig, who took a kayak class in college and came back to it in retirement, just because it made him feel something.Or Dylana and Sarah, who took our family (and a camera crew) through the archery basics without a hint of condescension, even when we had absolutely no idea what we were doing. This is what makes this program work: not the gear or the branding — but the people. These instructors aren't reciting from a script. They believe in this stuff. And they're patient enough to help you believe in it too. The Outdoors Is Not a Vibe. It's a Reset Button. We talk a lot about “disconnecting” these days. But for most people, that still means standing around staring at your phone with a different background. This wasn't that. Out at Lake Nockamixon, even with raindrops on the camera lens and a soggy hoodie, things felt clearer. Dahlia learned how to shoot a bow. Crystal got advice on safety lines and string tension from someone who could probably teach blindfolded. We paddled. We laughed. We dried off. We reset. You don't have to be “outdoorsy” to do this. That's the point. These programs are built for beginners. You don't need to own anything. You don't need to know what you’re doing. You just need to show up. “Even if you’ve never been to a lake before,” Lindsey told us, “we want you to feel like this is a place for you.” It is. Why This Stuff Matters We asked about accessibility. They talked about the ADA-accessible boat launch and helping kids from the Boys & Girls Club feel safe getting in the water for the first time. We asked about skill levels. They said they welcome people who've never touched a paddle and also offer sea kayaking, rescue courses, and night paddles under the full moon. We asked about groups. They've worked with Girl Scouts, bachelor parties, corporate team-building retreats, and even entire families who want to do something different for their reunion. So yeah, this is recreation. But it's also something bigger. This is how you build confidence in kids. This is how you reconnect with your spouse. This is how you remember what it feels like to be out of your head for a while. And if all you take home is a few mosquito bites and a blurry photo of your first bullseye, honestly? That's still a win. Hey! If you're beating yourself up about those New Year's resolutions already falling apart, you need to hear this episode. I get super real about my own 4 AM dishwasher adventures (yes, really!) and why January feeling like a total blur is actually totally okay. I share this "as real as it gets" situated about helping a family handle an emergency downsize that really puts things in perspective. Plus, did you know there's actually a thing called "Quitter's Day"? We talk about why ditching those resolutions doesn't make you a quitter, and how to hit that reset button whenever you need it. If you're still in that post-holiday fog or feeling like everyone else has their life together except you - this one's for you. I also break down how we can work together on Zoom to tackle your organizing goals, one totally doable step at a time. This is probably one of my most honest episodes yet, first recorded straight from my couch because sometimes that's just where the real talk happens!
"Nature has never allowed an injury that she didn't already have a solution to." - Dr. Zach Bush In this transformative episode, I sat down with Dr. Zach Bush, a physician whose journey from ICU medicine to understanding the human ecosystem has revolutionized how we think about health and healing. We explored the profound connection between human health and our relationship with nature, diving deep into why illness isn't a failure of the body but often a reset mechanism for healing. Dr. Bush shared groundbreaking insights about how our disconnection from nature has led to chronic disease, and more importantly, how we can reverse this through simple, powerful reconnections with the natural world. His message of hope – that we can restore our health and the planet's wellbeing through embracing nature's intelligence – couldn't come at a more critical time for women seeking genuine, sustainable wellness solutions. What you'll learn: Why getting sick isn't a failure of your immune system, but often a necessary reset mechanism How our obsession with "killing germs" is actually compromising our health and resilience The surprising truth about human biology - we're not just a body, but a complex ecosystem Why connecting with nature is more powerful than any biohacking technique The revolutionary approach to healing that starts with curiosity and self-discovery How women's intuitive, process-oriented nature holds the key to both personal and planetary healing The power of witnessing and being witnessed in our healing journey Love the Podcast?
