The terrible diagnosis. The betrayal. The broken heart. Are they Stoics really saying you should love that? Is that what it means to “amor fati”—to love your fate?
In Genesis 19:25-34, we are introduced to Esau and Jacob. Twin boys who battled eachother before they were even born into this world. Looking at each ones character, it's easy to see their humanity and their flaws - one, irreverent and thinking only of today, and the other, scheming and waiting for his chance seize power. Neither of them seem to deserve any of God's grace or mercy and yet one of them does receive it. But why? It's the same reason you and I receive God's grace - because God is good and in control and we are players in His grand plan for humankind. He chooses us for His purpose and plan. We don't get to vote for our favourites to be counted in as God's elect as much as we all want to and as much as we so often strive to. Instead, we are called to trust God in our calling as His children and do our best to walk in His ways and to partner with the Holy Spirit by spreading the gospel wherever and however we can.
This week we're diving into the family Tabanidae — better known as horseflies and deerflies, the scissor-mouthed bullies of the insect world. We cover how they find you using polarised light, CO2, and ammonia rather than body heat, and why their bite hurts so much more than a mosquito's. Episode 2309 - Kid A.G. holding court with returning Co-host Nurse Fiona storming back like a naked tornado after crushing her schoolwork for the past 48 months (she dropped 32 pounds to a whip-around 116—spinner status achieved!). She's dropping bombs on her Florida escapades: swinger resorts where everyone's buck-naked, ladyboys packing heat, and dodging mid-bang Eiffel Tower propositions (pig on a spit? Hard pass, but the thought had her tropical-dreaming). From railing a 20-something-year-old to why girl-on-girl ain't her jam and snooch water's the ultimate side-hustle scam, Fiona's unfiltered AF on self-discovery and creeper dodges. Kid A.G. fires off on sobriety wins (booze-free since July—stupid ideas still flow, no regrets), AI ruining the fappening, feet-pic empires (jerk off hot dogs for cash!), and roasting pervs, politics, and furries (bring back bullying to aim school rage right!). They trash religion, mom-banging myths, gun hypocrisy, and why freedom's all about saying fuck it. Obnoxious, raw, and zero-fucks-given—if you crave podcast gold on debauchery, drama, and dumbass life hacks, this one's a banger. Prudes GTFO! Listen in. Go Deep.
Monday, February 23, 2026 In this episode: The European Union demanded that the U.S. honor last summer's EU-U.S. trade deal, saying “a deal is a deal,” after the Supreme Court struck down Trump's emergency tariffs and he moved to replace them with new, temporary global levies; U.S. economic growth slowed in the fourth quarter, with real GDP up at a 1.4% annual rate; a federal judge permanently blocked the Justice Department from releasing Volume II of former special counsel Jack Smith's final report on Trump's handling of classified records at Mar-a-Lago; the Supreme Court agreed to hear an appeal from Exxon Mobil and Suncor Energy that could decide whether cities and states can sue fossil fuel companies for climate-damages in state court under state law; 32% of Americans said Trump has had the right priorities, while 68% said he hasn't paid enough attention to the country's most important problems; and 39% of Americans said they approve of Trump's job performance, while 60% said they disapprove. Music Studio Startup: Helping music teachers thrive as entrepreneurs
I first interviewed today's guest, Stephanie Bonte-Lebair back in Episode 025. The focus of that interview was about how she rebranded her voice studio to attract a more profitable niche, but in telling that story, Stephanie also talked about the role business networking played in the marketing of her business. She talked about it with such intentionality that I knew I wanted to learn more. So today we're talking about everything, from how to choose events to network at, how to prepare, how Stephanie makes the most of her time at an event, her follow-up routines, examples of weak and strong calls to action and more. Get your notepad ready because you'll want to take notes. If this topic of networking makes you uneasy, at least listen until you hear Stephanie's definition of business networking. A lot of us have probably had an experience with someone who was "networking" that was so obnoxious that we found the very concept repulsive. I think Stephanie's approach will be refreshingly different and one that most teachers can get excited about. People who are doing networking well are not obnoxious and you don't have to become obnoxious - in fact, please don't - to build your business through networking. Here's my conversation with Stephanie. Jeremy Bradley has been covering red carpets for over 15 years. It started with Canadian Idol in Toronto and then moved to A-list Hollywood events. He talks about how the red carpet experience has changed thanks to social media and selfies. "It's no longer about the celebrity and their moment," recalls JB. "It's now the "influencer's" look-at-me moment and fanning out." He talks about how you wouldn't dare ask for a selfie with a celeb back in the day. "Getting on a red carpet meant you had journalistic credibility. Now, it's about the size of your social platform." As for the TV ratings of awards shows, are they likely to rebound this year? Perhaps it depends on the platform that broadcasts them.

It doesn't take a degree in rocket science to see that there's been a decline in parental sideline behavior over the course of the last few years. I recently watched a viral video where a referee had to stop a girls' soccer game to address a parent who was allegedly heckling him over his calls. The video caught him saying this: “Do I look like I should be doing seven games in twenty-four hours. No I don't. You know why I'm doing seven games in twenty-four hours? Because there are fewer and fewer people who are willing to do this. Do you understand that? And most of the time people that are unwilling to do it is because of you people.” He ended with this: “So why don't you just grow up.” Parents we need to take seriously the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans twelve eighteen: “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Are allowing the good gift of youth sports to become an idol in your life? If so, take steps to change your priorities!
This is a direct response to Louis Rossman's suggestion that this might constitute a lemon situation. And I AGREE with him. Here is his video: https://youtu.be/Gw3KRfy9vQY

The squad goes after a ring of New Yorkers uploading child sexual abuse material. Detectives Amanda Rollins and Sonny Carisi are stunned to find one of the culprits is Deputy Police Commissioner and major asshole Hank Abraham. As ADA Rafael Barba decides how best to prosecute him, Lt. Olivia Benson has sympathy for Abraham's wife: ADA Pippa Cox. The arrest threatens to both destroy her family and her career as a prosecutor of crimes against children. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief William Dodds urges his son, Sgt. Mike Dodds, to leave SVU for a high profile position. And Benson and Captain Ed Tucker have a "nightcap." We're talking about Special Victims Unit season 17 episode 15* "Collateral Damages." Our returning guest is Aviv Rubinstein of the "Special Viewing Unit" podcast. This episode takes some cues from the 2006 case of Assistant District Attorney Bill Conradt. *Because of a two-part season opener, some streaming services list this as episode 14. What does Romans 13 really say about obeying political leaders—and why are so many American Christians using it to defend authoritarianism? Former evangelical pastor Pat Kahnke breaks down the history, theology, and misuse of passages like Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2—passages used to justify everything from slavery to fascism. This is part of a YouTube series exposing how scripture has been weaponized to support corrupt power, particularly in the age of Donald Trump and Christian nationalism. It's time for Christians to grow up, read responsibly, and speak out against injustice.

You can't let time erase history, because without knowing where we're going we're just a spec in time. You're just a piece of starstuff if you don't have a vector - got to know where we've been. 9/11 was one of those points in time that everyone has/knows/remembers, and without that memory (and comprehension), so much of what is afoot now (from warfighters and conflicts in the Middle East to Big Gov't miseries and threats aplenty) makes no sense. Get a grip, people, and help those who've not come to understand what 9/11 means grasp its consequence - and the loss of it all. Join the Garage Hour in a little bit of remembrance this 9/11: thank a veteran, pat someone in law enforcement on the back (not by surprise, though), and pour one out for those who aren't with us anymore. While we're at it, how about some Megadeth - this may be a somber day, but a little thrash metal makes everyone feel better.
In this episode, Scott Becker explores RH's ongoing financial troubles.

There's some strange things afoot at the Circle K, amongst them some sideways situations for American firearm owners and Second Amendment supporters (which means everyone, in a fashion). What's going on with the unintended acceleration from M18s? Did Sig Sauer make a mistake or is this something worse? What's better for our fighters to carry - an M18 or an M14? Did we have these problems when US warfighters carried their 1911s cocked and locked? Do all off-roaders carry a sidearm? How about a frontarm? Meanwhile, what's afoot and ahand with the underlying argument about craziness in the transmission crowd, and how American gun dealers are unintentionally making the case against dudes in the girls' locker room (ie: You can't blame the hammer for crooked nails.). Meanwhile, let's all watch how the NRA negotiates this one (and how long is their game - Go Doug, go!). Here's talking at you: an F-35 conference call, polymath versus psycho, Leo Gordon, Bruce Lee Jr., self-defense spatulas, Sam Peckinpaugh, an Excellent Weirdo Sendoff for Graham Greene of "Maverick" and "Longmire", the Spiritual Beggars, Pelican and an Excellent Weirdo Sendoff for Dave Mustaine and his monster, Megadeth.
