Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our Founder’s Week with Katy Nichole as she joined us a day before she performs at the closing session of Founder’s Week on Friday night. She shared with us about her walk with Christ and how music has been a massive part of it. Katy is a singer, songwriter, and performer. She has received multiple awards and nominations, including the Gospel Music Association’s 2023 New Artist of the Year, K-LOVE Fan Award, and a Billboard Chartbreaker title. Her debut album, “Jesus Changed My Life,” made her one of the fastest-rising artists in Christian music. Craig Thompson then joined us to discuss the importance of fighting for your family rather than against them. Craig is a disciple, husband, father, and pastor. He is the pastor of Malvern Hill Baptist Church in Camden, South Carolina. His mission is to equip families with the tools needed to battle spiritual warfare. He has written the book “Fighting for Your Family,” which provides a holistic approach for handling family matters as Christians. Then we had Ron Hutchcraft join us to reminisce about his experience with Founder’s Week when he was a student at Moody Bible Institute, and he also talked about the importance of staying in touch with Jesus throughout the day. Ron is the chairman of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries. He is also an international speaker, evangelist, author, and radio host. He is also the co-founder of On Eagle Wings, an outreach by Native Americans to Native Americans. LYRICS:   We were wildfire kids with nowhere to be  Cheap tattoos and ripped-up jeans Living off diner coffee and nicotine dreams  Chasing the moon in a rusted machine We swore we'd never slow down  Hearts like thunder, breaking out of this town It was a gasoline summer, burning too fast Laughing at danger, flipping off the past We were young, we were reckless, we were beautifully wrong  Screaming our names in a runaway song Stolen nights on motel floors Writing our names on bathroom doors Every scar was a badge, every kiss was a war  We were gods in disguise, begging for more No maps, no mercy, just the open road Living like legends no one ever told It was a gasoline summer, burning too fast  Laughing at danger, flipping off the past We were young, we were reckless, we were beautifully wrong Screaming our names in a runaway song Now the echoes fade in the rearview light But I still feel the fire when I close my eyes We were chaos, we were grace  We were everything time can't erase Gasoline summer, still burns in my chest A love like a car crash, a beautiful mess We were young, we were reckless, we were never alone Screaming our names in a runaway song   For more information about Kylie Willow Visit https://www.kyliewillowofficialsite.com/     Support us on PayPal!

Wyatt Ellis has accomplished more by age 16 than many musicians do in a lifetime. Hailing from the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee, he's quickly emerging as one of bluegrass mu-sic's brightest young stars. With virtuosic mandolin playing, heart-felt vocals, and original songwriting, Wyatt blends the deep tradi-tions of bluegrass with a fresh, youthful energy. Backed by a pow-erhouse band of Appalachia's finest young musicians, Wyatt deliv-ers high-octane performances that range from the Grand Ole Opry to major festivals like MerleFest and Gray Fox. His band's signa-ture single-mic setup showcases their tight harmonies, high-lonesome vocals, and blistering solos, creating a sound steeped in tradition yet driven by the future. Wyatt's breakout year included a debut at the Newport Folk Festival, chart-topping original instru-mentals from his debut album, and becoming one of the youngest regular performers in Grand Ole Opry history. His authentic Appa-lachian songwriting and seasoned stage presence have quickly set him apart as a once-in-a-generation talent with a deep respect for bluegrass music's heritage. 2024's IBMA Momentum Instrumental-ist of the Year and twice nominated for IBMA's New Artist of the Year, Wyatt has collaborated with legends like Peter Rowan, Marty Stuart, and the late Bobby Osborne. His January 2025 release, Winds of Rowan County, a duet with Rowan, celebrated bluegrass roots while symbolically passing the torch. Wyatt's lead and har-mony mandolin solo on Bobby Osborne's final recording of “Rocky Top,” along with their co-written instrumental “Fern Branch,” were both featured on Osborne's posthumous album, a tribute to Wyatt's connection to his hero and mentor. With a debut vocal al-bum of all-new original songs on the way, Wyatt Ellis stands poised at the forefront of bluegrass, honoring the legacy of the genre while boldly pushing it forward into a new era.

This beautiful picture book climbed to the No. 1 new release on the "Children's Easter Books" chart on Amazon after release. Check out Spring Sings now. Holcomb uses her beloved lyrical writing style to encourage young readers to watch as the world slowly wakes from winter - to know that the new life of spring also retells the story of God's Son.  Illustrated by Laura Ramos (Sounding Joy), Spring Sings is Holcomb's fourth book in a series. Her children's books include Who Sang the First Song?, Don't Forget to Remember, Sounding Joy, and now Spring Sings."We all know what it feels like to walk through winter seasons, but winter never gets the final word," shares Ellie Holcomb. "Spring always sings a song of hope, reminding us that God loves to make ALL THINGS NEW! This book is an invitation to open our eyes and ears - to hear the beauty all around us, to remember that no matter how dark things may seem, love always has the final word."As she has with her other books, Holcomb will simultaneously release a companion children's album produced by Nathan Dugger. Sing: Spring Songs will be released on March 21st featuring seven songs including five original songs. The project will include the title track, "Spring Sings," which will be available on February 21st on all digital platforms. For eight years, Ellie recorded and toured full-time with her husband's band, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, before stepping off the road when her first child was born. Her solo debut, As Sure As The Sun (2014), landed her a Top 10 hit and a GMA Dove Award for “New Artist of the Year.” Her critically acclaimed sophomore LP, Red Sea Road, followed in 2017. In 2021, she released her third full-length solo project, Canyon, to much acclaim, earning her a second Top 10 radio single with the song, "I Will Carry You." Holcomb has also released four children's books - each with a companion EP of original music written specifically for kids. Her kids' books, Who Sang The First Song? and Don't Forget to Remember have each achieved the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) Bronze Award for selling more than 100,000 copies. Her debut book was also on the ECPA juvenile bestseller list and was a finalist for the 2019 Christian Book Award in the children's category. She has also authored two additional children's books, Don't Forget To Remember and her Christmas book, Sounding Joy, which landed at No. 4 on ECPA's Christian Juvenile Bestsellers, Christmas 2022 list. Her first adult book and devotional, Fighting Words: 100 Days of Speaking Truth into the Darkness (2021), has spent many months on the ECPA Bestseller list and is also a Bronze Award book. ellieholcomb.com@ellieholcombchristianmusicguys.com@christianmusicguys
