Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Discussion The discussion highlights the importance of collectives in college football, with Pete detailing his rankings of the top 15 collectives. Top 5 Collectives: Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon, and Miami. Ohio State: Topped the list due to their significant investment in player retention and transfer portal acquisitions. Oregon: Known for its strong financial backing, particularly from Phil Knight, founder of Nike. Miami: Despite John Ruiz's decreased involvement, Miami's collective is still a major player, investing over $50 million in its current roster. Tennessee: Has focused heavily on securing top quarterbacks. Impact of NIL Investments The discussion explores what happens when NIL investments do not yield the expected on-field success, using Florida State as a case study. The flexibility of NIL contracts allows for adjustments year to year, particularly concerning the transfer portal. Nebraska Cornhuskers MAJOR Weekend! Key Recruits Visiting Nebraska: Michael Terry (5-Star Athlete), Cortez Mills (Oklahoma Commit, Wide Receiver), Dawson Merritt (Alabama Commit, Linebacker), Christian Jones (Top Uncommitted Linebacker) and Jackson Cantwell (2026 Offensive Tackle) Impact of a Win Over Colorado Potential Poll Ranking: A win could propel Nebraska into the AP Poll rankings, which would be significant progress for the program. Recruiting Momentum: A victory could greatly enhance Nebraska's ability to attract top recruits like Michael Terry, Cortez Mills, Dawson Merritt, and Christian Jones by providing tangible evidence of the program's improvement. The Latest in Auburn Tigers Recruiting! Hugh Freeze's Recruiting Strategy: Genuine Relationships: Freeze is known for building authentic relationships with recruits and their families, making "small deposits" of goodwill and trust early in the process. Early and Strong Connections: Freeze's approach of starting early and finishing strong in the recruitment process is cited as a key factor in Auburn's success. Auburn's Position: Auburn is currently well-positioned to potentially finish with the number one recruiting class in 2025, a goal that is by design and not by chance. Top Recruits Discussion: Deuce Knight, Elijah Melendez, Naim Offord, Oumane Kromah. The Impact of On-Field Performance Importance of Winning Big Games: To solidify their recruiting success, Auburn needs to win key games against top teams like Georgia or Alabama. These victories serve as proof of concept for recruits. Michigan Wolverines Host MASSIVE Weekend vs Texas Key Recruiting Targets on Campus: Nathaniel Owusu Boateng (Linebacker, #69 Overall), Gregory Patrick (Offensive Line, Top 100, In-State), Will Conroy (Offensive Line, Ohio), Jermaine Kinsler (Defensive Line, New Jersey), Travis Johnson (Wide Receiver, Virginia), Jordan Thomas (Defensive Back, New Jersey), Javion Osborne (Running Back, Texas) Ongoing Recruitment Updates Andrew Babalola (5-Star Offensive Tackle) Commitment Watch: Michigan fans have been on commit watch for several weeks, but the decision remains uncertain. Michigan's Edge: If academics and elite football are the deciding factors, Michigan is in a strong position, but if NIL becomes more prominent, Auburn could have the advantage. Final Show Segment: Oregon Ducks Flip Targets! Key Flip Targets: Elijah Barnes (Linebacker, Top 100, Texas Commit), Na'eem Offord (Cornerback, 5-Star, Ohio State Commit), Jakeem Stewart (Defensive Lineman, #1 Overall Prospect for 2026), Chris Henry (Wide Receiver, 5-Star, #1 WR for 2026, Ohio State Commit). Mike The Grey is the "stage name" of Michael Terry. Mike, who began greying in his teens, was actually referred to as "Grey Mike" by his friends because he was one of several Michaels in various groups he hung out with. His involvement with music began in the 80's, following his older siblings around gigs, recording sessions, and band practices with an R&B group called Black Diamond. Originally, too young to perform with his sibling's funk-influenced band, his role was primarily to support their practice sessions playing keyboards and percussion on original songs and covers from Prince, Gap Band, Rick James, and others. Those early influences can still be heard in the music he creates today. ***************************************************************************************************************************** Dreaming While Awake “Cloud Walker” is a collaboration between singer Kenna-Rae from Houston, Texas, and producer Espen Skaar from “Dreaming While Awake” out of San Francisco, California. After meeting online they decided to do a free-form collaboration in which Espen came up with a bassline and basic horn riff - and Kenna-Rae wrote the lyrics and recorded the vocals. The song was produced in San Rafael, California and released to the world, the rest is history…

The Bears addressed a big need when they agreed to send the No. 1 pick to Carolina for Moore. Besides giving quarterback Justin Fields a top-tier downfield option, they also got the No. 9 and No. 61 overall picks in 2023 plus a first-rounder in 2024 and a second-rounder in 2025. In this episode, Jay has a great conversation with Michael Terry of Dispatches Adventure Rides on the topic of PTSD and military service. Michael Terry is a 23-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. He retired in 2018 due to complications arising from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and immediately began to feel the effects of depression, loneliness, isolation, as well as loss of identity and purpose. To combat these side effects, Michael began to ride his motorcycle around Canada and to speak openly about his struggles living with PTSD and his challenges transitioning to civilian life. Not only has this forced him to face his own issues head-on, it has also allowed him to continue to serve his community, to challenge himself mentally and physically, to find new passion and purpose, and to begin to heal.2023 marks the sixth year of the Dispatches Adventure Ride Speaking Tour. From May to July, Michael will be touring across Eastern Canada to connect with Canadians of all backgrounds in order to normalize discussions surrounding mental health and transitional issues. This will be done through encouraging people to connect along the route (meeting at pre-determined coffee stops, joining in the ride for a time), formal speaking engagements (professional development sessions, peer support groups, service clubs, etc.) and other outreach activities. To book Michael to speak at your organization or event at no cost, or to see how you can support Dispatches Adventure Ride, you can contact him here or check out How Can I Get Involved.Website: https://www.dispatchesride.com/Welcome to the Do Hard Things Podcast with your host Jay Tiegs, Are you ready to amplify and improve your life? On the sixth day of Podcast-mas my FAVORITE podcaster gave to me Six Southern Stabbings.Y'all this case is so infuriating. From 1985-1986 there was a serial killer on the lose in Atlanta, Georgia and even though all of the victims met the same demographics and were all killed in similar ways the police didn't even think the cases were related. Queue annoyance beyond belief. Anyway buckle up and hold on to your britches because this case is going to make you just as mad as it made us.P.S. We hope you enjoyed our southern accents and pure exhaustion induced laughing fits. We promise tomorrows episode isn't nearly as disorganized. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Terry_(serial_killer)https://murderpedia.org/male.T/t/terry-michael-d.htmhttps://skdb.fandom.com/wiki/TERRY_Michael_DevernSupport the showAs always we want to thank each and every one of you for the continued support! Did you know that we, as a society, have fallen off a comedy cliff? No joke. Studies have shown that we largely stop laughing when we enter our mid-twenties, which is a shame because delighting in humor has a ton of health benefits. Plus, being perceived as funny can actually make people think you're more intelligent, more competent, and even better looking! So on this episode of How To!, the first in a two-part series, we bring on Naomi Bagdonas, co-author of Humor, Seriously!, and Michael Terry, an amateur comedian who is working in the funniest of places: high finance.
