In today's episode, we're joined by Tom and Chris Hannaway, brothers and Co-Founders of alcohol-free beer brand Infinite Session.  With a passion for great tasting beer but a desire to incorporate some alcohol-free days into their lifestyle, Tom and Chris discovered a gap in the market for a vibrant and confident alcohol-free beer to enjoy during after-work drinks. Launched in 2018, Infinite Session beers are now stocked in leading UK retailers including Sainsbury's and Whole Foods. The brand also launched exclusively into the US state of Wisconsin in March 2020. During the pandemic, Infinite Session launched a series of special-edition beers, including the ‘Stay Home' beer from which all proceeds were donated to NHS Charities Together. Today they share advice on what to consider when expanding internationally as well as how to successfully work together as siblings. The Hannaways' advice: Take time to think about what you disagree on and come back to it after some spacePut boundaries in place and make sure you stick to themGet your messaging down first before worrying about the rest   Don't focus too much on logo and web domain at the start  Really think about how you would explain your idea to others, think about The Granny Test, keep it really simple Think about your product development but do tell people what you're doing as well as you need the feedbackGive your sales channels the same level of importance as product development  You can only do what you can do and be comfortable with that  Have hobbies outside of work to keep you passionate about your company Know when to chat with each other, and when not to Find your working rhythm together You do have to work hard but build in breaks Grow slow, try things on a smaller basis when you reach new markets to build your growth with a strong foundation   You can contact Tom or Chris via Instagram or Twitter  Head over to Speakpipe to leave your voice note for future guests too.LastPass the password-keeping site that syncs between devices.Google Workspace is brilliant for small businessesBuzzsprout podcast 'how to' & hosting directoryCanva has proved invaluable for creating all the social media assets and audio bites. For contracts check out Law Depot.Recorded, edited & published by Juliet Fallowfield, 2022 founder of PR for startups advisory Fallow, Field & Mason. That CD and digital release featured many of the guests that had appeared on the Bass Agenda Radio show in its first year, such as w1b0, The Exaltics, Sync24, Scape One, The Hidden Persuader, and Alavux. Since 2013 the label has put out over 100 releases on digital, vinyl, CD, and USB formats spanning the various nuanced styles in the Electro genre, and Techno too. Just like the radio show, the focus of the Bass Agenda label is on exploring the wide range of sounds out there and doing so by releasing music by brand new talents, established artists doing new things, and some of the Electro genre's biggest names. The label has been championed since its inception by Dave Clarke and has grown over the years to become a regular source of tracks for home DJs, podcasters, magazines, and some the world's biggest names, including Juan Atkins, DJ Stingray, Helena Hauff, UMEK, Alienata, and many more. In 2020 Bass Agenda Recordings curated and released CAREBOT$, a massive 100+ tracks compilation raising money for NHS Charities Together and Médecins Sans Frontières Covid-19 initiatives. So far, the CAREBOT$ has raised over £10,000. After this project Andy Barton, who runs all things Bass Agenda, decided the label would take a break. The label will return, but no specific date or plans have been made as yet. The Bass Agenda Radio Show continues and broadcasts on www.deepspaceradio.com in Detroit. Guest on the show have included Anthony Rother, The Hacker, Juan Atkins, Detroit in Effect, Dez Williams, Jensen Interceptor, Helena Hauff, CYRK, DJ Godfather, Radioactive Man and over 150 more. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow Bass Agenda Recordings : Bandcamp : www.bassagendarecordings.bandcamp.com Facebook : www.facebook.com/BassAgendaRecordings Instagram : www.instagram.com/bassagenda SoundCloud : @bassagenda Triple Vision : www.triplevision.nl/label/Bass+Agenda+Recordings

The pressure on our National Health Service continues to be relentless, but NHS Charities Together help provide the extra support and services needed to care for staff, patients, and improve health in our communities. Working with a network of over 230 NHS Charities, they listen to teams on the ground and invest in projects that help the NHS go further than what would otherwise be possible through standard Government funding alone. The Role Play Haven t-shirt campaign will help them to fund things like counselling and the creation of outdoor spaces to improve staff and patient wellbeing, new technology and specialist equipment to enhance patient care, the training and equipping of thousands of emergency response volunteers to help save lives in local communities and research into long-term health conditions – such as long-Covid and many other conditions. The #RoleForCharity t-shirt features bespoke, never before seen, artwork which has been created exclusively for this campaign by the veteran TTRPG artist Jason Juta. As part of the purchase, supporters will also receive a one-off gift from each of The Role Play Haven's sponsors in the form of PDFs, discount coupons and physical books. The legacy of Capt. Tom Moore, the super fundraiser who died of COVID-19, lives on in Imogen Papworth-Heidel — and many others. The 11-year-old soccer player, who dreams of playing for England, watched Capt. Tom pushing his walker up and down his garden to raise money for the National Health Service and was inspired. So she decided to help by doing something she's good at: keepy uppies — kicking the ball into the air and passing it from one foot to the other without letting it touch the ground.Imogen was able to raise 15,000 pounds ($20,500) for key workers keeping hospitals open, streets safe and trains running while everyone else stays home to stop the spread of coronavirus."I wanted to do something to help as well to raise money, so I did this,'' she told The Associated Press from her home in Framlingham in southeastern England. "I chose to do 7.1 million -- one for every single key worker in the whole of the country."Capt. Tom, a World War II veteran recovering from a broken hip, set out to raise 1,000 pounds ($1,400) by walking 100 laps of his back garden before his 100th birthday last April. Three weeks later, he had raised 33 million pounds ($45 million) for Britain's NHS after his quest cheered a nation in lockdown and triggered donations from around the world. But he also made a broader impact as his simple challenge — to do whatever you can to help others — persuaded the young it's never too soon to start, and the old that it's never too late.Take Margaret Payne, 90, who walked up the stairs in her home 282 times to raise 416,000 pounds for the NHS. Payne, from Ardvar in the Scottish Highlands, calculated that the feat was the equivalent of climbing 731 meters (2,398 feet), or the height of Suilven, one of Scotland's best known mountains that she scaled when she was 15.And then there's Tony Hudgell, a 5-year-old who lost both legs after being abused as a baby, set out to walk 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and raise 500 pounds for the Evelina London Children's Hospital. After completing the challenge in a series of daily walks he had attracted more than 1 million pounds of donations."Captain Sir Tom inspired so many people to take on their own extraordinary challenges, from running marathons to swimming lakes, and he gave us all hope," said Ellie Orton, chief executive of NHS Charities Together, using the honorific Capt. Tom earned when he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II."He showed NHS patients and staff, who were struggling, that people cared, that they were looking out for them and doing what they could to support them."In the end, Imogen needed a little help to complete her challenge. After realizing it might take her a long time on her own, she found other people who did keepy uppies and donated them to her via video so she could reach her target — and every key worker could have their very own."People did 6 million keepy uppies in total and I did 1.1 million," she said. "It's just really amazing how many people donated and spent their time actually doing the keepie uppies. I'm really grateful for that."Unlike many of those inspired by Capt. Tom, Imogen managed to get an audience with her hero. Capt. Tom told Imogen that her challenge was "cool." She melted."I probably learnt to keep on going and not to give up halfway through something … to persevere through it, like going out when it's raining, or it's really, really hot," Imogen said of the experience. "And I now believe that I can do what I want if I know I can do it and I have the right mindset."She also got more accuracy and control of the ball, which is likely to help that national team goal. Thanks to Capt. Tom.

THE COAT CUPBOARD COLLECTIVE presents AT THE FIRST STROKE, STEPHEN CRITCHLOW's uplifting and often hilarious account of his extraordinary recovery from a serious stroke earlier this year while in rehearsals for ALONE IN BERLIN at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton. With contributions from RACHEL ATKINS, DAVID HOLT, CHRIS PAVLO and DAVID SARGENT. Especial thanks to NAXOS for its generous licensing of the CRUSH COLLISION MARCH by SCOTT JOPLIN. A WORD FROM STEPHEN In January of this year, I had a stroke and spent time at Northampton General Hospital and University Hospital Lewisham. While in hospital, I experienced first-hand the hard work and pressure facing NHS workers. When I was back home, a writer friend of mine came to visit me. He suggested I write an account of my time in hospital. This could have a therapeutic effect, he told me, and it has. I also wanted to give something back to our amazing NHS, all those people who come from every part of the globe, who work hard and care for us, when we can't care for ourselves. I have therefore recorded as honestly as I can the journey of a stroke victim, some of my meetings with staff and patients along the way, and the humour and humanity I found on the hospital wards. If you have enjoyed this podcast and would like to show your appreciation of the NHS, please visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/atthefirststroke, where I am raising money for NHS CHARITIES TOGETHER, and give whatever you feel you can afford. STEPHEN CRITCHLOW has been a professional actor for over 30 years and a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company no less than five times. Stage credits include Sir Peter Hall's HAMLET (Gielgud), Ray Cooney's PYGMALION (Albery), three years in THE THIRTY-NINE STEPS (Criterion), and CYRANO DE BERGERAC at the Royal National Theatre. Stephen has toured in many productions, including ROUND THE HORNE REVISITED (in which he played Kenneth Horne), and recently THIS HOUSE for Headlong and THE REMAINS OF THE DAY for Out of Joint. His many TV and film credits include, DOWNTON ABBEY, MIRANDA, SKINS, CIDER WITH ROSIE, RED DWARF 11, HATTIE, FANTABULOZA, THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY and CHURCHILL: THE HOLLYWOOD YEARS. RACHEL ATKINS' recent theatre work includes, THE COUNTRY GIRLS (Minerva Chichester), INKHEART and ROMEO AND JULIET (Home Theatre Manchester). For television, she has appeared in CHERNOBYL, THE ROOK, HUMANS, and CALL THE MIDWIFE, and films include THE LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER and THE COUNTRY GIRL. Rachel has been a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company several times and was a regular in THE ARCHERS. She has recorded numerous audiobooks as well as voice overs for video games. DAVID HOLT studied theatre arts in Birmingham in the late 1980s, then moved London to pursue a career as a versatile actor in TV, film, theatre, radio, and as a voice artist. He has appeared in countless productions of all types over a 30+ year career, and is renowned for his animation voice work, having appeared in over 90 animated TV series. CHRIS PAVLO has worked extensively in the voice world. He has enjoyed four seasons with the BBC Radio Drama Company, with credits ranging from THE ARCHERS to news-based comedy THE WAY IT IS. He can also be heard voicing video games, commercials, documentaries and podcasts. Chris co-founded and runs THE PODCAST COMPANY, a production house for podcasts. DAVID SARGENT has been an actor and voice-over artist for 32 years. He shares a drama school and voice agent with Stephen Critchlow. He has worked in theatre, film, radio and television – most recently in PENNYWORTH for Warner TV, and the 2020 films THE COMPLEX and BRITISH PEOPLE.
