Nightfall is a Warsaw DJ, distinguished by his unique selection of techno, driven by energetic groove. During his sets, he combines abstract, deep, spatial and hypnotic sounds into a story. Entering the stage at a mature age allowed him to look at music and the role of the artist in a unique, unusual way. Despite his short presence on stage, he has already played before Ellen Allien and Hekato. He has performed at Smolna38, Luzztra, Transformator, Cel, Prozak 2.0, Noce KRK, Willi w Parku and Hala Odra. A graduate of the Institute of Sound, he believes in the principle "Techno is not about BPM. It is all about groove". Music is his passion and playing is a way to express the emotions that lie dormant within him. Stream/Buy: fanlink.tv/GR368 Sisko Electrofanatik's record label Gain Records welcomes back Georgia Lee who drops an electrifying peak time techno single, which also includes remixes by Alex Nocera, Produkkt and D Lewis. Georgia Lee is an Italian artist based in Rome, and this peak time release showcases the techno side of her eclectic sound, as it layers pulsating synths with pounding percussion. This is her second time featuring on Gain Records, after her first release “Distorted Love”. Georgia Lee is also a skilled DJ who was resident at the Circolo Degli Artisti nightclub in Rome, Amigdala taking place at Goa Club, Rialto, Ex Dogana and Animal Social Club and regular guest at La Roboterie in different cities across Italy. She has shared the decks with techno legends ranging from Ellen Allien to Regis. Talking about her release, Georgia Lee said: “Out of The Dark”, is a track dedicated to all those who are still with us, fighting every day the pain of their human and spiritual losses. It is an introspective work based on the fusion of cosmic and dark techno sounds that slowly evolves until it reaches its inevitable sonic and empathetic resolution. It aims to be a metaphysical bridge to transform suffering into medicine, hope, and energy after the unfillable void of loneliness. The three remixes made by Alex Nocera, Produkkt and D Lewis, represent a progression to reach the light." All of the remix artists on this release are from Italy. First up, Alex Nocera is known for his tantalising techno tracks on record labels ranging from Riot Recordings to Spartaque's IAMT Red. Produkkt is an eclectic artist who drops the tempo to deliver an indie dance remix. D Lewis is a veteran artist whose career spans back to the '90s. He was one half of D.Lewis & Emix, and has featured on over 50 vinyl releases, including labels such as Acid 80 and Antibemusic. D Lewis has previously featured techno tracks on Gain, and his electro-tinged remix has an italo disco vibe. "Out of the Dark" is the original track on the release, its booming kick drum and throbbing bassline lay a foundation for crunching hi-hats and tension building pads. Its spiralling synths and deep atmosphere add to the tidal wave of momentum created by this smouldering slice of techno. Alex Nocera's "Out of the Dark" remix lifts the tempo and toughens the percussion, while also adding acid stabs, and a new melody synth to the breakdown. Produkkt's remix of "Out of the Dark" lowers the tempo, it also adds a new electro bassline, and dystopian pads that give it a gritty yet chic sound. D Lewis closes out the release with his low-slung remix of "Out of the Dark," which adds a new funk bassline, and off-beat snare hits. He also adds modulating melody chords that are in the style of others such as Todd Terje. ©️ 2024 Gain Records | Gain Plus www.gainrecords.com #SuperTechno #WeAreWhatWePlay #Dreamtechno

An electrical charge runs through everything Lucinee transmits. Her productions and DJ sets bristle with peak-time urgency - a rush of volatile synth lines and thunderous drums wrangled from hardware exploration. These sparks can easily ignite huge spaces - festival arenas, the great techno institutions of the world - but they also carry subtlety and balance which looks for something deeper than the one-dimensional banger. Born and based in Berlin, Lucinee has earned her respected position within the techno scene by investing herself in the fundamentals of club culture, holding down a long-standing residency at iconic Hamburg club PAL, and making notable appearances at Boiler Room in Warsaw and Berghain's fabled Säule along the way. Her productions serve as a natural extension of her open approach to DJing - vibrant jams comfortably housed on labels from Berlin institution BPitch through to EXHALE, Voxnox and Space Trax, just to name a few. In her hands, the tenets of classic trance, techno, and industrial are handled with exacting poise, drawing on their immersive, psychoactive power to create a trip as subtle as it is impactful. Lucinee's music has garnered support from key figures in the industry, including Amelie Lens, Ellen Allien, Nur Jaber, Boris, Monika Kruse, and many others, underscoring her influence within the global techno landscape. Eli Keszler - All the Mornings in the World (album Icons 2021). Luomo - Visitor ( album The Present Lover 2003). Turnstile, BADBADNOTGOOD, Blood Orange - Alien Love Call (EP New Heart Designs 2023). Sampha - Spirit 2.0 (Album Lahai 2023). Dina Jashari - Ne Sum Tvoj Son (2023). Ellen Allien, Apparat - Leave Me Alone (album Orchestra of Bubbles 2006). Ladytron - Seventeen (Album Light & Magic 2004). Zoot Woman - Taken IT All (Album Zoot Woman 2003). Idles - Grace (2023). TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ MATASISM Born in Rome but now based in the USA, Matasism began building a name with releases on his own eponymous imprint, launched in 2017. With a rave spirit grounded by the pursuit of authenticity, he soon caught the attention of Ellen Allien, who began playing his tracks out before signing him for a solo EP in 2022. With a mutual passion for the true under- ground, it's no surprise that he finds a home on BPitch. Sonically, Matasism's music sits on the harder edge of the spectrum, merging elements of trance, industrial, techno, and EBM into new spheres. Amsterdam Dance Event 2023 was an electrifying experience that exceeded all expectations! The city's vibrant atmosphere perfectly complemented the event's dynamic energy. The opportunity to connect with fellow electronic music enthusiasts from around the globe was a highlight, making it feel like a true global reunion of techno aficionados. The music was nothing short of mind-blowing; the pulsating beats and mesmerizing melodies had us dancing until dawn. The lineup featured a perfect blend of established legends and emerging talents, creating a soundtrack for unforgettable nights. But ADE wasn't just about dancing—it was also a hub for networking, where artists, producers, and industry professionals mingled, shared ideas, and created new opportunities. The synergy in the air was palpable, and the potential for exciting collaborations seemed limitless. As the event came to a close, there was a collective sense of satisfaction and inspiration. ADE 2023 was a true celebration of techno culture, reminding us why we all fell in love with this music in the first place. It was an experience that will be etched in our memories, and we can't wait to return next year for another round of musical magic and meaningful connections. Cheers to ADE 2023!

We premiere new music from Italian techno stalwarts Boston 168 as they unleash their Gigantia EP on Ellen Allien's BPitch label. We feature ‘Hit By The Star' an ethereal acid-soaked club tool that perfectly soundtracks a hazy festival sunrise. The Turin-based techno duo Boston 168 serve up a four-track EP of unfiltered techno euphoria on Ellen Allien‘s fabled BPitch imprint. Gigantia, slated for release on September 1st, expands on the sonic palette they've explored over three prior EPs on BPitch, as well as a 2019 debut on the widely tipped sub label UFO Inc. Having begun their musical explorations independently, old friends Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca began making music together in 2014, birthing what would then become their highly acclaimed moniker of Boston 168 (a nod to the address of their first ever studio). Building a name for themselves from an expansive strain of techno with vast spatialities, the duo's organic approach to production has guided their musical output ever since. With a penchant for improvisation and a beloved collection of well-used hardware, their sound has carried them through an illustrious career to date, including the running of their own imprint. Gigantia sees the duo drawing upon the industrial roots of their hometown, merging a range of influences with a distinctly melodic take on acid techno. With a strong affinity for carving sonic spaces, the four-track package is a masterclass in production, with each track exercising careful restraint in its acoustic arrangement. The result is a precisely orchestrated dose of unrelenting dancefloor power, and an authentic nod to the underground spirit that inspired it. We premiere 'Hit By The Star' which sees the duo head straight to the main floor with a peak time burner of cavernous kick drums, tripped out acid swirls and haunting melodic leads. I didn't have a long weekend to blame, but I did get outside and enjoy a nice Canadian summer this weekend. BBQ with friends, a food festival on Sunday, now I just need a weekend to recover from the weekend. But before I can start recovering I have to get RSA posted for everyones work week. Or vacation. Just a reminder: I'll be appearing at RISQUE in Washington DC on September 9th, and a Sanctuary reunion in Toronto on October 7th Method Cell - Unwound Desastroes - A Dancers Lullaby BlakLight - Prey Ellen Allien x Ash Code - Everything Collapses Technomancer - Without You (Extended) TC75 - Sun (Extended) Void_R - Dark Matter Rhythm Psy'Aviah - Heaven Is Not Enough (People Theatre) http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

A short work week behind us, and I managed to get sick again on Thursday! But I'm luckily still a Covid virgin, so it only kept me down for a few days. Now I just ration a bit of vertical time over the weekend so I can recover and get important stuff like RSA completed. I've really gotta start watching what I eat, there's something I think I'm sensitive too. Ah, the joys of getting older! But as I said, I always make RSA a priority so that even if I do get knocked down I have enough already done that I don't disappoint! Having a conversation in front of an audience, it turns out , is a bit different to speaking on the phone. This is the first time we've done a 'LIVE' episode, and we can thank the good people of the https://www.amsterdam-dance-event.nl/ (Amsterdam Dance Event) for helping us make it happen. As part of the conference we took over a room of about 80 people for an hour and talked to a real legend of Berlin techno - https://www.instagram.com/ellen.allien/?hl=en (Ellen Allien). A resident of many of the most important clubs in the city ever since the wall came down, Ellen was there at E-Werk, Tresor, WMF, and all the rest of them. So it was fascinating to dig into that incredible history, as well as her career as a DJ, producer, and label owner. There will be more live episodes, but the first one is always special... and this was a lot of fun. Better late than never! We had all sorts of problems with getting the podcast out this week, not helped by a trip to https://www.amsterdam-dance-event.nl/en/live/ (ADE) in Amsterdam to record an episode with https://www.ellenallien.de/ (Ellen Allien) which (all things going well) will be on your feed next week. But right now on the show we have a very interesting and important person in the underground music scene of the UK - https://www.instagram.com/eli1ah/?hl=en (Elijah). You may remember his work in the grime scene with https://www.instagram.com/skilliam/?hl=en (Skilliam), you may remember his label, Butterz, if you're in the industry you may know him as an artist manager. But most likely you'll know his Yellow Squares project which has recently brought him a lot of attention as he leads a broad discussion of how the industry works, and how artists should conduct their careers. So given our mission on this podcast, the man is an ideal guest and you are going to get a lot out of this conversation. We cover a range of topics including the cancellation of shows, transparency and the idea of making your income public, as well as getting into the history of the grime scene too. An awesome episode which I think was worth the wait. You can check his 'Close The App, Make The Thing' lecture https://aiaiai.audio/elijah (here). Dan Marciano on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 8/24/22 About Dan Marciano - Dan Marciano is about to become the worst-kept secret in dance music. Born and raised in Paris, he has long been revered as a revolutionary of the French electronic music scene and Dan takes his DJ skills to famous clubs both large and small in every corner of the world, from Germany, Italy and Miami to Singapore, Brasil to Buenos Aires. He has also been producing and remixing since 2000. Now, following the successful seasons of his The Tribes party Dan's star is set to rise even higher. He says simply: “I have the best job in the world.” The Tribes brings together music royalty including Sven Vath, Marco Carola, Solomun, Maceo Plex, Ellen Allien, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, and Magda, for an series of events showcasing the most notorious, talked-about parties on the planet: Circoloco, Music On, Cocoon, Paradise, Mobilee… Dan Marciano always loved music and dancing. As a kid he spent his pocket money on Michael Jackson or George Benson records but when house music emerged in Paris he found a spiritual home. Inspired by legends like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills, and enthralled by the colour and magic of the dancefloor, Dan threw himself into DJing. It was harder to get a break in the pre-internet era and he remembers doing things the old fashioned way: handing out cassettes and throwing his own parties. Dan built a loyal following and became a resident at some of Paris's most celebrated clubs including the Palace, Les Bains Douches, and Queen where he has held court for a dozen years. His success as a DJ is driven by the belief that: "You can have the best records but if you don't feel the music, and the people in front of you, if you don't tell a story, it won't be any good.” This simple philosophy has driven Dan to experiment throughout his career. According to fellow DJs: “His music fascinates and hypnotizes everybody who hears it” Dan is always happiest taking his love of house music to the masses. He is also busy in the studio, pursuing his second passion of making music. With more than a decade of hit records under his belt, including the evergreen ‘Good Morning Paris', Dan's production career has evolved along with his DJ style. His extensive back catalogue crosses labels such as Full House, Escape, Royal Flush and Connected Records and recent releases have graced Denfis, Cream Couture and Natural Rhythm. With a full schedule, new management, and ambitious plans, Dan is bursting with excitement for the future. “Clubbing has never lost its magic,” He says. “People call my music house, or underground, but you can't put a label on it. It's just about emotion and passion.” About The DJ Sessions - “The DJ Sessions” is a Twitch/Mixcloud "Featured Partner” live streaming/podcast series featuring electronic music DJ's/Producers via live mixes/interviews and streamed/distributed to a global audience. Having grown up in a house where collecting music was the norm, Swedish-born DJ Philippa Pacho has carried this through to her adult life. As a result, the Berlin-based artist is a well-tuned and confident selector who knows how to capture an audience in any given situation. It all began with her father's hobby of collecting jazz, blues and folk records. As a teenager, Philippa built her own music library before attending her first rave, and later discovering the underworld of dance music and club culture. As standard in a community of electronic music heads, Philippa made friends from the scene in Stockholm and in 2010, formed a collective with a handful of girlfriends. Together, the women curated their night every Thursday at 2:35:1; an art gallery and club located in the city centre. It was here that Philippa delved into DJing headfirst, taking advantage of the creative freedom on offer and learning the skills of mixing and working the dancefloor until dawn. With two years of DJing under her belt, by this time she earned a residency at the Stockholm-based club Under Bron — where she remains the longest-running resident since the space opened in 2010 — Philippa's early sound leant towards hypnotic techno, but she has since graduated to a include myriad of bouncy and tripped-out rhythms within the genre. Playing at forest raves on the outskirts of Stockholm and upending abandoned warehouses in the city — balanced between Under Bron bookings — these raw experiences infiltrated Philippa's sound down to the last cadence, resulting in her groove-heavy collection and quick-fire blending. Making the move to Berlin in 2014 allowed Philippa to flourish and finesse her sound. Known today for merging contemporary and old-school techno while dipping into different tempos and sub-genres, Philippa has played for Ellen Allien's We Are Not Alone series, Synoid parties and DJ Tool, D.Dan and Hyperaktivist's event, Mala Junta. Such a diverse range of bookings has allowed her to reveal other dimensions to her sound, and joining MESS line-ups — a collective that celebrates diversity and supporting DIY club culture worldwide — has recently contributed to the growth of Philippa's profile. A recent chapter for Philippa sees her founding the label ‘positivesource' together with Blue Hour. The pair release various artist EPs from artists including Oprofessionell, Newa, Sugar, Alan Backdrop, Rove Ranger, Lady Starlight, LDS, Blue Hour himself and many more. With the return of nightlife, Philippa's focus remains crisp and clear; her goal is to get you to move your whole body in expressive ways. She sees herself as a dancer first and foremost and has that always in mind when she performs. "A good DJ set is like a candy bag. You need a bit of the sweet, sour and some unexpected flavours to tickle your taste buds."
