In this episode, we delve into the controversial and complex world of deep seabed mining. We feature a panel of experts from the Wonderful World Festival in Norway [https://www.wonderfulworld.no/] discussing the environmental, economic, and geopolitical implications of extracting minerals from the ocean floor. Marine Scientists, a documentary filmmaker, mining industry officials debate the need for and consequences from extracting rare earth minerals for renewable energy technologies. Discover the unknowns of the deep sea, the ethical considerations, and the potential impact on future generations. Join us as we explore whether the pursuit of these resources is truly necessary and the role of storytelling in shaping our understanding of the ocean's mysteries. We start with an introduction by panel moderator, Anders Dunker. Next are excerpts from a TED Talk by Sandor Mulsow, Marine Geologist from Chile. Also included is the trailer of the documentary film DEEP Rising, which he is featured in. Are you in unfamiliar territory? Something I've found incredibly powerful when this is true for me, is to seek wise counsel and advice from those who understand the obstacles and challenges ahead because they've already navigated them. Confucius says it this way: “If you want to know the road ahead, ask those coming back." I've found that new territory can seem even more challenging when we're oblivious to what we'll endure; that's somewhat universal for a certain path. For example: When people think you're “too much” and misunderstand you, that's actually a requirement of being extraordinary For those that want to grow, if you can't build a vision of what's possible for them, they'll find someone who can Setting boundaries, communicating directly and making decisions for the highest good will cause you to lose people, but leaders aren't supposed to be “buddies” and amicable, they're supposed to help you win and lead Leaders will always graduate into higher levels of working harder; freedom has a price We have to be willing to go long periods of time without seeing results; most people aren't patient enough to dedicate a decade or more of effort to what they want to create What I thought might be a helpful dose of value is offering five stages of success as it pertains to an entrepreneurship journey. Some of you may intimately know these stages, and it will affirm the path, and others of you may come back to this for encouragement when you need it along the way. Have you begun a new path into unknown territory and feel a bit lost, a bit unsure, and like you're a complete newbie again? It's both very exciting and very scary at the same time. I work with a lot of creative entrepreneurs, coaches, people who are building businesses, and people who want to create an alternative life for themselves from the traditional job roles and so often I'm helping people transition from one space into another. What I've noticed is we start to believe we're at the very beginning again and can feel like we're a little baby lamb coming out of our past industry or past career choices and standing on unsteady, shaky legs in the wake of something new. If this is you and you're transitioning from one place to another and you feel like you're starting again, don't really know what you should be doing and it feels confusing and overwhelming - I'll show you how to harvest the gold from your past to help you tap into your power of the present. In this episode, I'll guide you through my own method for finding and using past experiences and strategies to overcome uncertainty in the present. You already have access to an incredibly rich bank of golden knowledge and insights that are uniquely your own that you know will work for you, so let's use them! You're absolutely not a helpless, unsure baby lamb - even when you're beginning again in a completely different industry. By taking a moment to listen to this episode, grabbing a pen and paper and journaling through the exercises, you will have a specific, practical and unique list of strategies you can use immediately to feel confident and in control of your growth and where you want to be. Imagine a world in which menopause is recognized as a healthy, organic step in one's evolutionary journey stepping - into the vital and powerful role of serving your community and the world? That's a quote taken from my guest on today's podcast, whose vision she describes as “to place menstrual cycle awareness in the heart of every boardroom, classroom and dinner-table discussion on the planet.” My guest Alexandra Pope, along with her partner, Sjanie Hugh Wurlitzer have come together to form Red School, which in essence, beautifully brings about awareness of the menstrual cycle and conscious menopause - taught through various mediums via menstruality education. What Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer have created is TRULY inspiring - which they describe as a “radical new approach to health, creativity, leadership and spiritual life”. Hosts of The Menstruality Podcast and Authors of Wild Power: Discover the Liberating Power of Menopause to Awaken Authority, Purpose and Belonging, they are also the Programme Creators of the Menstruality Medicine Circle™. Alexandra shares a wealth of knowledge supporting and educating women on a global scale - from helping mothers nurture their daughters through puberty and the beginning of the menstrual cycle, right through to menopause and beyond.

In this episode I share my two postpartum experiences, each very different. I chat about entering the unknown, motherhood! I share my very first experience from those very early days which were just shocked the shit out of me (no preparation!), being diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 4 months postpartum to pregnancy after loss when Oliver was 12 months old. I then share my second story which was amazing in parts but also blighted with crippling anxiety which was later diagnosed as PNA. I reckon I suffered from PNA with Oliver too but just wasn't aware. I sought help and can honesty say it was one of the kindest things I did for myself, I put myself first and as a result I have gained so much.I then share my constant struggle with deciding to stay as a family of four. I'm super honest here as it's still very raw and hard to process although not as hard as it was. I know many of you are currently at the same phase of life deciding whether or not to close the chapter on pregnancy and adding to your family for a number of reasons, for me it has been the most challenging season yet. I'm so so grateful for my beautiful family! Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Visit acast.com/privacy for more information.

Refugees cramming onto trains brings back memories of the Second World War, amid an invasion that heralds a grim new political reality The war in Ukraine has brought back some uncomfortable memories. Refugees crowding on to trains in eastern European snow to escape a war. Young men volunteering to fight for their country and being sent into harm's way with almost no training. And the possibility that a new Cold War between Russia and the US and Europeans could be upon us, says Jeremy Bowen. When Belarus opened its country to tens of thousands of mostly Middle Eastern migrants and refugees last year and started pushing them across the border into Poland, most Poles supported the government's refusal to let them in. Yet Poland is now facing a refugee crisis on a much bigger scale. Close to two million people, have crossed into Poland in just three weeks. Adam Easton met one of those Poles and the refugee he is supporting. Attempts to create humanitarian corridors over recent weeks from besieged cities like Mariupol and Kharkiv have frequently been stymied by continued Russian attacks, imperilling efforts by residents to flee. At the border between Poland and Ukraine, Kasia Madera met one woman travelling from Kharkiv to Germany with her children. Australia's east coast has seen some of the worst flooding in the country's history over recent weeks with more than 20 people killed in intense downpours. Viv Nunis met some of the residents whose homes had been destroyed. China was the place where Covid-19 first emerged, but it was also the first place to get back to something resembling normality. But that all changed this week, as new cases jumped - and authorities imposed draconian new restrictions to maintain its 'zero Covid strategy'. Normal life for tens of millions of people, says Robin Brant in Shanghai - has stopped, again. Presenter: Kate Adie Producer: Serena Tarling Editor: Emma Close

Putting Your will into His Trust! We know that we are supposed to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not to our understanding. This aspect of trust means to have a firm belief in the reliability of someone or something. Other words for ‘trust' are: confidence, belief or faith. These words convey the passive side of trust. Are you aware that there is another aspect of trust? There is a legal and active side to the word ‘trust'. In the estate planning world a ‘will' is drawn up to express your desires for your property after you leave. That ‘will' is put into a ‘trust' in order to protect your desires in case you become disabled or incapable of managing your property. In this dynamic series Paul Gamaliel Williams will unveil the purpose of prayer and how to put your will into God's trust.

Pastor Joy preaches about how we move forward in God's purpose when the way doesn't seem clear.
It is obvious men and women have their clear differences of opinion when it comes to athletics, but whose to say one side is always right? Bree and the intriguing guest explore the rationality of their two perceptions. On top of the menacing attitudes, viewers better understand the political head ache behind the monopolized grounds we call government. This episode is undoubtedly jam packed! It’s not hard to see why this is a place where perception meets reality.

Book YENI: http://www.timesartists.com/yeni YENI is a hugely driven person. Once she fell in love with techno she decided she wanted to make her own, so she spent time in dark clubs watching and learning from the DJs. Even though she was only 15 years old, she learnt how to get sounds of analog synths and Fruity Loops, took what she made and handed it out on CDs to people who went to Leipzig’s 10/40 techno club. She started to build a profile and now, years later, the East Germany born artist is a regular on the global circuit who has played across Europe, South Africa, India and the United States under her alter ego. After years as part of the Alter Ego, which took her to key parties round the world, YENI is now focused on solo work. She is a strong-willed character who does things her own way. Music brings out visceral reactions in her, and she always tries to convey the same strong feelings with her productions and DJ sets. “I am not the kind of fish that swims with the shoal,” she states. “I am the one who tries out exactly the opposite; the things that are not currently hyped.” As such, this classically trained pianist, vocalist and former soprano choir singer has a sophisticated sound that is keen to experiment and head in unknown new directions. It has lead to releases on well-regarded labels like Alex Bau’s Credo, Florida Music, Unknown Territory and Complexed Records, and has found its way into the bags of tastemakers like Adam Beyer, Agoria and Charlotte De Witte. She is also an in-demand vocalist who worked with other producers such as Drumcomplex. More recently, this infectiously enthusiastic character has started her own label Cyborgs in Love, which put out her own fierce Hang On EP. The label deals in proper techno and, drawing on her background when she worked as a Management Consultant crunching numbers for insurance companies in Switzerland, has quickly become a quality operation. DJ Emerson, Wigbert, Drumcomplex, Rob Hes, Andres Campo and Roland M. Dill are all part of the Cyborg family. “I loved to be successful in my normal job, but I could not only live this nine to five thing,” she says. “I need an extraordinary lifestyle by spending my weekends in dark techno clubs.” So that’s what she does, weaving together high octane sets of uncompromising techno with compelling grooves and well-crafted synths that come together to create stark atmospheres. It has taken her to play alongside the likes of Slam and Ellen Allien in Finland, at Nature One in Germany and her own label showcase during ADE. Having more than proved herself, she is now signed to Times Artists alongside the likes of Matthias Tanzmann and Timo Maas and is an essential voice in the global techno conversation.

Casual Treatment is all about Techno. Paris born Dj & Producer based in South of France, Melvyn started listening to electronic music at age of 10 and discovered Techno 3 years later and directly felt in love with this music. Inspired by UK and Spanish sounds and influenced by artists as Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero or AnD to name a few, Melvyn has no boundaries. He started first mixing at 16. Then, one year later, he became resident of the famous Inox Club Toulouse as a duo (CROWD), making warm-up or closings for artists like Ben Sims, Sigha, Tommy Four Seven.. After 2 years mixing, at 18, he wanted to start making his own productions. He met Marla Singer that took him under his wing, and gave him his passion for production. Melvyn decided then to create this new project, Casual Treatment. Focused on dynamic and hypnotic techno. In November 2015, Marla Singer & Casual Treatment was closing Inox for Oscar Mulero and Tommy Four Seven. In 2016, Casual Treatment's first releases in collaboration with his friend will be released on labels as Nachtstrom Shallplatten and Unknown Territory to name a few, with also vinyl pressing. https://soundcloud.com/casual-treatment https://www.facebook.com/casualtreatment/
