On Episode 26, we talk with two rock stars on the 2025 Dream Team. Fourteen year-old Miles talks with us about how he found the courage to be the first member of the team to volunteer to share his personal story as part of the team's speaker series during Mental Health Awareness Month.  A very skilled and passionate cyclist, Miles tells us about some of the things he's most looking forward to in July when he will complete his first RAGBRAI. And Dave Foell tells us why he mentors and shares some of his takeaways so far from this season.  A father of three boys from Waukee, Dave also shares some of the key messages from his appearance before the team last June during Pride Month when he spoke about diversity and inclusion.

Cacie Robichaux was born in Louisiana and has been living in Wisconsin since 2009. Cacie received her bachelors, worked for a hot minute then started a family and decided to be a stay at home mom for several years. She decided to go back to school where she received her second degree: an associate of software development. Her second degree led her to a career as a Scrum Master. Cacie is a facilitator who leads a team using the Scrum framework for agile project management. Scrum masters help their teams implement Scrum principles and practices, and coach them on how to improve their workflows. To Cacie, building solid relationships and a sense of psychological safety in the work place is very important. She likes to be a multipurpose person and help out wherever needed. Cacie is a mother of three daughters and very active in their lives coaching sports and ubering them around to lots of activities. She doesn't have to ever worry about meeting her favorite athletes because she gets to raise her own. Cacie loves a good physical challenge. She completed RAGBRAI in 2024, which is a bike ride across Iowa. She also plans to run a half marathon in Wisconsin this spring. In addition, Cacie and her daughters are volunteering at Hope Heals Camp, a camp for individuals affected by disabilities and their families. Congratulations to Scott Matter who has been named the new Executive Director of the Dream Team! The Dream Team is a 5 month mentorship program for youth in the Des Moines area. The goal is to learn life skills, and so much more, one pedal stroke at a time. At the end of the program, the team rides RAGBRAI! This is a completely volunteer based organization and this time of year they are recruiting and getting ready to launch with a new team of both volunteer mentors along with the next generation of youth cyclists.
