In this offseason episode the coaches visit with West Virginia assistant coach and Danville Ky native ShaDon Brown.

Shadon will be familiar to some, having played Matiu Thompson on Shortland Street for a couple of years, as well as for his appearances on Rurangi and TVNZ's Toi Time, and right now you can see Shadon in his play Waiting which opened in Auckland last night. Waiting is a love letter to Shadon's son and has scooped up the awards over the years. Jesse talks to Shadon about the latest iteration of the play.

Shadon Meredith is an actor and poet in New Zealand of Samoan heritage. He has worked acted in many theatre, film and television roles including the kiwi soap Shortland Street. In this interview with Andrew Whiteside he talks about a very personal theatrical production called ‘Waiting' which opens in Auckland on the 26th September 2023.

In this episode we sit down to have a pretty in-depth conversation about Zhang Yimou's colorless classic, Shadow. We ask, "Who is the shadow in Shadon?" and discuss the film's many subtexts and metaphors. We also ask, "What's up with that final scene?"
