It's been a long, fun journey but the RPGrinders finally reached level 700 of the podcasting dungeon. A trio of brave adventurers led by Frank the Ageless Wizard with a mysterious past, a long pipe, and a longer beard. Eric the Cleric is the backbone of the Grinders but he doesn't just heal, he also deals massive damage. The last member is Breakman the Bold Bumbling Warrior, he may be accident prone but he's great with a sword. Level 700 wasn't easy. The Grinders faced waves of tough enemies.  Zombies, aliens, ghost monsters, mutants, and dragon balls were only some of the more formidable opponents. First the Grinders dealt with waves of mutants, as the TMNT Cowabunga collection was given an August release date. As they fought off the mutant attackers they were beseeched by a dragon. The mighty Dragonball the Breaker, will be bringing destruction in October. More random enemies joined the battle but they are no match for the heroes.  After clearing the waves of enemies, the heroic team stopped by a local dungeon vendor. The shop keeper haggled with them over the prices of rare Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft treasures. Unfortunately for the shop vendor, the Grinders weren't just great adventurers. They also knew how to find the best deals. Before heading to their next battle, the heroes came across a strange and usual shop. Out of curiosity, they decided to check it out. Inside they met a sage. He imparted upon them the wisdom of #DearBreakMan. With that, they were ready to move further within the dungeon. Ms. Marvel, Girls Last Tour, and NOPE ambushed the Grinders. Trio vs trio. Only one group would walk away. Although it was a tough fight, the Grinders used the power of teamwork to fell their attackers.  Even though they were still exhausted from their last battle, the Grinders suddenly found their selves fighting off waves of evil Stinko humans! The cops and religious zealots attacked in full force but were still defeated by the brave heroes. Having barely survived their last fight the Grinders stopped to recharge their HP with some much-needed Sweetos. They knew that the only thing left standing between them and the next dungeon level, was the final battle.  The final battle to defeat dungeon level 700, was upon them. Only they could defeat their enemies and determine the Greatest Game Cube Game of All Time. They fought off hordes of zombies. Fled from the evil Ghost Monsters. Battled more mutants. Encountered an alien species that sucks the life from its victims. And they even defeated a cursed evil sword. With that level conquered, what adventures will await our heroes as they journey to level 701 and beyond? Only time will tell.... Come tag along on the Grinders next adventure, every Friday 7 PM Eastern on twitch.tv/rpgrinders. Maybe we will even share the loot.                 I was originally going to title this "Power Moves" but it just doesn't fit the writing.

Girls' Last Tour is a six-volume manga series by Tsukumizu that we heartily recommend. In this episode, we discuss the entire run as well as the anime adaptation. A post-apocalyptic story about two young girls journeying through a bombed-out, empty wasteland while trying to scrounge for food and water, Girls' Last Tour is packed full of evocative moments that reach poetic heights, all in the service of showing that life is worth living no matter what the circumstances. Tune in to find out why we encourage you to read the manga and/or watch the anime!

Leo and Bcom finish off the remainder of their Fall 2017 first impressions with 15 shows that air on Fridays and Saturdays, alone. But, in the end, they need to narrow the anime season down to the 10 shows they most want to watch, and this season there's actually a large enough variety of shows that we have some disagreements over what we should be watching!I mean, who knew that Dies Irae would be such an articulate and intelligently written parody of the current state of U.S. politics? Or that Love Live! Sunshine!! season 2 would play a hilarious goof on its fanbase by rescreening season 1 over again and pretending that it's actually different. Oh these anime studios and their amazing practical jokes. We can't decide if Kino is a boy or a girl, but what's most important is that Kino is Kino, and that the girls from Land of the Lustrous have nice legs. Ancient Magus' Bride seems to have watched Britney Spears' "I'm a Slave For You" music video a few too many times. They've also gone past March in March Comes in Like a Lion, so I guess March Came Like a...wait...that seems...no, I can see why they stuck with the original title.Anyway, enjoy the podcast, and I'm sorry you had to scroll down so far to get to the timestamps!Recorded November 1, 2017.Timestamps:2:19 - Recovery of an MMO Junkie12:29 - Dies Irae20:51 - Kino's Journey35:17 - Garo: Vanishing Line39:32 - Girls' Last Tour44:09 - Code: Realize - Guardian of Birth45:25 - The iDOLM@STER SideM53:56 - The Ancient Magus' Bride1:04:12 - BLEND-S1:07:21 - Leo explains the origins of the term Yaoi1:07:45 - TWOCAR1:12:24 - Love Live! And also what happens when some things are incorrect due to when a manga or anime is translated! Jenny talks about her translating Yen Press's So I'm a Spider, So What, and tries to convince everyone that it's worth reading. Note the word try. Amanda talks about Yokai Rental Shop (Seven Seas) and Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School (Yen Press). Both required her to learn a lot about yokai.
