Galatians 6:1-10
A message about the power of the Holy Spirit in bringing people together.
Paul moves on to Derbe and Lystra where he invites Timothy to join them on the second missionary journey, directed by the Spirit of Jesus.
RT Kendall doesn't look like a heretic. He doesn't sound like one either. But in the mid 80s he almost lost his job leading one of London's most famous churches when he was accused of antinomianism: the claim that Christians are not obliged to follow God's moral law. The controversy centred around a book he had written called Once Saved, Always Saved, in which he wore his Calvinist theology on his sleeve: that salvation is by sheer grace and not because of anything we do. Kendall laughs when he recalls the episode, saying that it was the testimonies of those who read the book that rescued him. "They said it made them want to be more godly," he shares. This wasn't the only controversy Kendall would weather in 25 years of eventful ministry at Westminster Chapel. By the end of it, he saw himself as much a Brit as an American and, through his speaking and books, was regarded as a statesman of the UK evangelical Church by the time he retired in 2002. Part 10 - The Fellowship's Empirical Foundation (1 John 5:6-13) Witnesses of the earthly testimony (5:6) "Water" This likely refers to physical birth. The virgin birth is implied by John in John 8:8:38,41 "Blood" This refers to physical death, Subsitutionary sacrifice is implied (1 John 1:7) "Spirit" Together, the water adn the blood provide an illustration of both the incarnation and the atonement. It is the Holy Spirit that convinces us of the apostles' message. Witnesses of the heavenly testimony (5:7) The witnesses in Heaven ground the witnesses on Earth. John assures his readers that the truth does not depend on the creature but the Creator. Unity of the two testimonies (5:8) The testimony of the earthly witnesses points back to the heavenly ones. The superiority of God's testimony (5:9) This is self-evidently true, that is, that God's Word is more reliable than men. Is not He the "Logos"? Is His mind not free from the limitations of finitude? The responses to God's testimony (5:10) When we believe the Holy Spirit internally testifies to the truth of our faith. We need look nowhere else for a better foundation. (Prov. 3:5-6). The Promise of God's testimony (5:11-12) The condition for having eternal life rests simply on having Jesus personally. (John 6:35-40). The assurance of God's testimony (5:13) John refreshed the memory of his audience so that they could know they were save and continue to do so.
“And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.” - Acts 16:10 ESV
The church in Antioch was visibly characterised by gifts of the Holy Spirit. Andrew explains what the Spirit did in Antioch, and why we believe he does the same things today.

Part 44 of the David Pawson 'Unlocking the Bible' Podcast series In this 3rd talk in the series on Ezekiel, David Pawson deals with the later messages the prophet had for his people in exile in Babylon. God assures them their enemies will be punished. David tells how amazingly some of Ezekiel's prophecies came true. God says that when his predictions come true, “then they will know that I am the Lord.” After having to tell them earlier that Jerusalem was going to be destroyed, now he is able to deliver the good news that they will be going home. Some prophets, priests and kings had been bad shepherds but now God says he will be the Good Shepherd of both Ephraim and Judah. Some of Ezekiel's predictions are about end times and have not yet been fulfilled. He mentions Gog and Magog and these two names can be found in Revelation as well. David says that some of the prophecies are dated and need to be fitted into the history, whereas others are timeless. One of his later messages assures the exiles about the restoration of the temple and this would have given them hope. David says that God will never allow his people Israel - or his church - to disappear. [David mentions a book he has written titled The Fourth Wave; this has since been renamed Word and Spirit Together.]
Sam shares how a healthy New Testament Ekklesia prophesies one to another by speaking Spirit-inspired words to edify and build up faith.

Guest Speaker: Michael Williamson Date: 18/11/2018 Title: Stirred By The Spirit Together - Church Camp Special - Session 3 Bible Passage: Acts 2:41-47
2018 has been prophesied as a year of taking ground. So far we have been focussed on taking ground IN us. Now Tim moves the focus to taking ground in the spirit, together as apostolic kingdom family. Worship is one of our primary weapons in taking ground, and it is our first and most important ministry. The invitation of this season is to upgrade our fire - our hunger levels. The church in Ephesus found out from Jesus in Revelation 2 that taking a whole city, persevering, and holding fast to truth are not enough. We must cultivate first love!

Charles T. Tart is internationally known for his more than 50 years of research on the nature of consciousness, altered states of consciousness (ASCs) and parapsychology, and is one of the founders of the field of Transpersonal (spiritual) Psychology. His work convinced him that there is a real important sense in which we are spiritual beings, but the too dominant materialist philosophy of our times, masquerading as genuine science, denies any possible reality to the spiritual. Dr. Tart was born in 1937 and grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. He was active in ham radio (K2CFP), worked as a radio engineer (First Class Radiotelephone License) while still a teenager, and studied electrical engineering at MIT before deciding to become a psychologist. He received his Ph.D. in psychology, with research on influencing night time dreams by posthypnotic suggestions, from the University of North Carolina in 1963, and then received postdoctoral training in hypnosis research at Stanford. He is an Emeritus Professor, Core Faculty Member at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (Palo Alto,California) (a unique Ph.D. granting institution that believes you should educate a person’s body, spirit and emotions as well as their talking mind!) and Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the Davis campus of the University of California. He consulted on the original remote viewing research at Stanford Research Institute, where some of his work was important in influencing government policy makers against the deployment of the multi-billion dollar MX missile system. His most recent book, The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal is Bringing Science and Spirit Together (2009), overviews his half century of research in parapsychology and shows that, as too many believe, it is not the case that science has somehow proven that all spirituality is nonsense. Rather it is reasonable, indeed necessary, to be both scientific and spiritual in one’s approach to life.. He has had more than 250 articles published in professional journals and books, including lead articles in such prestigious scientific journals as Science and Nature. Dr. Charles T. Tart has been involved with research and theory in the fields of Hypnosis, Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology, Parapsychology, Consciousness and Mindfulness since 1963. In this keynote from the 2014 Buddhist Geeks Conference, Dr. Tart shares research that supports the serious consideration of the paranormal and addresses the convergence of spirituality, science, and scientism. We’re joined again on Buddhist Geeks by one of the most influential figures in the transpersonal psychology movement, Dr. Charley Tart. We cover a huge range of topics in this interview, covering many things related to what he refers to as a “broad scale approach to meditation.” Charley starts off by speaking about several hypnosis and sensory deprivation research studies, wherein the “demand characteristics” of the experiments dramatically affected the results of the research. We explore the implications this might have on the “set” or context that is used to set up meditation practice, and on the results people experience. We also discuss the lack of useful feedback that occurs in meditation communities, and the dramatically lower success rates of meditation communities, when compared to Western educational institutions. We’re joined by Charles Tart, one of the founders of the branch of psychology known as transpersonal psychology. Dr. Tart’s life work has to do with putting forward an “evidence-based spirituality for the 21st century.” In this conversation we explore the evidence that he explored for phenomena like reincarnation, as well as the “big five” of telepathy, clairvoyance, pre-cognition, psychokinesis, and psychic healing. With all of these phenomena Charles warns about adopting a “scientistic”—as opposed to scientific—view of reality, which says that none of those things can be real, simply because they don’t fit into the mainstream view of materialism. Instead, he suggests, we should be looking at the evidence and letting it shape our understanding of reality. Episode Links: Charles T.
