What is the role of the woman in supporting this shift Natasa asks? Maharishikaa unveils how the fourth wave of feminism with its tenets "Stoop to Conquer“ and more importantly "Surrender to the Truth Impulse“ will inspire the female to circumvent Ego and follow the Truth Impulse within herself, thus enabling her to deal with the fragile male and so ensuring that he can rise and strengthen to be the man he's cut out to be. #Maharishikaa #4thWaveFeminism #TruthImpulse Aaryaa Maharishikaa Preeti Maiyaa, is a revolutionary female mystic who fearlessly dares to demystify spirituality in her unrelenting call to realize Self, and act from Source. In this episode, Shana is in conversation with Sheema Kermani. You may know Sheema as the dancer in the hit Coke Studios video of Pasoori but, for Sheema, dance is more than an artform. For her, it is also an act of defiance. A classically trained Bharatnatyam dancer, Sheema took on the Pakistani military dictator Zia-ul-Haq when he abolished public dancing. Since then, Sheema has steadfastly defended the rights of minorities and women. In this interview, Sheema talks about her activism, the early days of Aurat March and how she came to perform the feminist anthem “A Rapist in Your Path” in Urdu - a performance that connected Pakistan to the Fourth Wave of Feminism, which has ebbed and flowed around the globe. With the publication of her most recent novel, White Horse, Erika T. Wurth breaks from the realism that characterized her earlier fiction and ventures into horror. White Horse follows Kari, an urban Native living in Denver, as a family heirloom belonging to her long-missing mother launches her into a world of the uncanny: ghosts and monsters lurch into real life and portals transport her into scenes from the past that reveal traumatic family secrets. Wurth speaks with critic Leif Sorensen and host Rebecca Evans about what abides at the intersection of politics and craft, and what's at stake in particular for the Indigenous writers of genre fiction whose work takes shape at that intersection. Their conversation pokes serious fun at everything from the faltering literary truism that being good at plot is somehow less impressive than being good at characterization to debates over authenticity in Native literature. Horror, as Wurth describes it, offers real and meaningful pleasures, solves the craft problems of over exposition, and opens up powerful questions of identity, politics, and history. Tune in for recommendations for genre writers from the emerging Fifth Wave of Indigenous fiction, reflections on orality and linguistics, and Wurth's cure for “writer's depression” instead of writer's block! Epidemiologist Professor Michael Baker warns the country is in the grip of a fourth wave of Covid19. Professor Baker says if we don't act to restrict the spread of the virus, up to 10,000 people could be hospitalised this year - putting our hospitals under intense pressure. Dr Baker joined Ingrid Hipkiss.
Following the rise of social media and digital platforms, digital activism has become a cornerstone of the most recent social movements, especially the fourth wave of feminism characterized by online movements such as Me too and Times Up. Organizing digitally has enabled these feminist movements to reach much wider audiences and led to large-scale participation the world over. This week's episode dives into what fourth wave feminism is and how digital media has contributed to its performance. In our first segment, Dr. Zeinab Farokhi provides an overview of fourth-wave feminism. Topics discussed include: Whether digital platforms have made the fourth-wave more inclusive than past feminist movements, whether the fourth wave has been reduced to performative messaging and branding by companies, the evolving role of men in feminist movements, concerns that digitization has also lended legitimacy to anti-feminist movements, and whether measuring success ought to depend upon legislative progress. In the second segment, we are joined by Professor Sara Liao from Penn State University for a conversation about the impacts and significance of fourth-wave feminism for China, including: The origins of the #MeToo movement in China, techniques used by the Chinese state to silence feminist activists online, the impacts of transnational networks, whether there has been meaningful progress in terms of legislative victories and public opinion, and much more. Guests: Dr. Zeinab Farokhi earned her PhD in Women and Gender Studies and Diaspora and Transnational Studies at the University of Toronto. She is currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Concordia University (2022-24) and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Her dissertation, "Digital Islamophobia: A Comparison of Right-Wing Extremist Groups in Canada, the United States, and India," investigated and tracked the gendered, affective, and transnational digital strategies, rhetoric, and affinities of anti-Muslim extremist actors on Twitter via qualitative discourse analysis. Building on her dissertation, Dr. Farokhi's postdoctoral research will conduct a mix-methods comparison of Hindu nationalist and white supremacist discourses on Youtube in order to further assess the affective and affinitive alignments among extremist groups and their exploitation of audio-visual affordances. Dr. Farokhi's work emphasizes feminist approaches to extremism, digital media, and transnational and diaspora studies and highlights the urgent need to better understand how national and transnational extremist rhetoric manifests, spreads, and persuades across digital ecologies. Professor Sara Liao is a media scholar and feminist based out of Penn State University. Her research interests intersect digital labor, feminist studies, globalization, and East Asian popular culture. Her book Fashioning China (Pluto, 2020) investigates gendered digital labor in China's maker culture and fashion industry, highlighting how social media commerce has transformed creative industries, and produced new forms of creativity, identity, and precarity in work and life. She has published in renowned academic journals such as Journal of Communication, Signs: Journal of women in Culture and Society, Communication, Culture & Critique, and Convergence. She currently works on researching and writing about the tangled relationship between digital culture of misogyny and popular nationalism in China. Fourth COVID-19 wave has arrived in Queensland, says Premier, masks advised from Friday In other news, non - Covid related deaths have risen in Australia, yet no one seems to know why. Queensland has entered its fourth COVID-19 wave with authorities recommending masks in certain settings from Friday. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told state parliament there had been an increase in active cases in the past week and a doubling in the number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals. She said Chief Health Officer John Gerrard had advised the state's traffic light COVID-19 advisory system should switch from green to amber. Health Minister Yvette D'Ath said the change in COVID-19 risk alert did not mean that any enforceable directions were being issued by the Chief Health Officer (CHO). "I encourage all Queenslanders to take this advice," Ms D'Ath said. "We know that some of the best protection against this virus comes from ensuring that we are fully up to date with our booster doses. "For any person who hasn't had their third or fourth dose and is eligible to do so, I implore you to head down to your local GP or pharmacy and protect yourself in anticipation of this forthcoming wave." Dr Gerrard said, "We know that being up to date with vaccinations protects you from hospitalisation and death," he said. Meanwhile, Australia has had a rise in all-cause mortality this year. Factoring out Covid deaths, non-Covid all-cause mortality is up. Provisional Mortality Statistics Key statistics In 2022, there were 111,008 deaths that occurred by 31 July and were registered by 30 September, which is 16,375 (17.3%) more than the historical average. In July there were 17,936 deaths, 2,503 (16.2%) above the historical average. There were 300 (22.5%) fewer deaths due to COVID-19 in August than July (see article). This is just my opinion. Norm opens the second hour discussing a recent headline in the Connecticut legal community, the matter involving lawyer Carl Ferraro of Norwalk, Connecticut. In particular, Mr. Ferraro has been charged with 8 counts of first-degree larceny for the misappropriate of millions in client funds from the law firm trust account. One feature of this prosecution that bugs Norm is the court's requiring Mr. Ferraro to post a $2M bond in order to be granted pre-trial release. The Connecticut constitution is unique in that it grants Connecticut's citizens the right to a reasonable bond. Norm compares this bond assessment to one in connection with his representation of another client. What does a 'reasonable bond' mean? The result of not knowing that standard inures exclusively to the detriment of criminal defendants who are supposed to be presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Norm then pivots to President Biden's recent comments about the Supreme Court of the United States's decision in Dobbs and the troubling implications of the executive branch undermining the legitimacy of the Court through responsive executive action. The popularity or lack thereof of the decision notwithstanding, President Biden's comments are more than a legal infirmity; they reflect a deference to political bias at the expense of our constitutional system. Later historians will come to know the fourth wave of American Constitutional law by the emergence of the 'Public Health State.' Norm breaks down the first three waves, and then discusses the troubling authoritarian trend of the fourth. What is federalism? What is the separation of powers? American government is premised on mechanisms that work in concert to diffuse power. Today, we're glad to have Brad Yates on the show. Brad is an expert in emotional freedom technique (EFT), commonly known as tapping. EFT is a protocol I can personally attest to. Brad was a trained, practicing hypnotherapist with an acting job (Days of Our Lives!) on the side. Brad's wife, on the other hand, was a director of a program for homeless men and women. Having a real-life superhero for a wife, Brad felt like he was called to do more. And that was when he stumbled across personal development, which eventually led him to EFT. EFT, a process that involves tapping different acupuncture meridians, is believed to address many different issues. After incorporating EFT to his hypnotherapy sessions, Brad found himself losing patients because of the permanent healing EFT provides. Brad thinks that tapping to meridian points sends calming signals to the nervous system, which causes relief. EFT has no approved therapeutic claims. But does this mean it's not real? No. In fact, an Australian psychology professor did a chemical study where brain scans showed that an abnormal brain activity was normalized after the subject underwent tapping. There are also other researchers that back up the authenticity of tapping. Many people are still skeptic about EFT, but it's definitely worth a shot given the scientific evidences. Some may argue that Brad doesn't even have a medical license. But how do we explain that he's able to make people better? Today's Guest: Brad Yates For over 20 years, Brad has been helping people tap through their blocks and into the best version of themselves. Many people have dreams of success and peace that seem just slightly out of reach, blocked by fears, anxieties, or resistance to moving forward or past barriers. The reality is that everyone is capable of living incredible lives, and often we're the only thing standing in our way. Tapping is a very effective method of physically resetting the body's fear response by tapping on energy meridians throughout the body while talking through and resolving emotional resistance or trauma. Brad tries to take an empathetic and grounded approach to helping people release their blocks through tapping, because he doesn't believe that personal development needs to be punishing or tedious. On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, we're talking about Predictive Programming, no, scratch that, we're talking about the new COVID wave successfully predicted by Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates just days ago. In St. Johns County Florida where I live, we have had a 300% increase in new COVID cases over the last 7 days after 21 days with next to no new cases at all. Over in France, Emmanuel Macron is leading in his bid for re-election against Marine Le Pen, and will face her in a run-off on April 24th. In America, there is talk of blockchain replacing the dollar as the new currency standard, which will make it so much easier for the Mark of the Beast to keep tracking of all your buying and selling. The Israeli military says it has carried out more than 400 airstrikes in Syria and other parts of the Middle East since 2017 as part of a wide-ranging campaign targeting Iran and its allies, offering its fullest picture yet of its undeclared war with Tehran. Did I mentioned we're on the cusp of WWIII? Our plate is full on the Prophecy News Podcast this Monday, don't miss a minute of it! Anthony Fauci said "I think we're going to be seeing an uptick of cases that we are already seeing in certain states. You know, we had a very sharp and steady decline in everything from cases to hospitalizations to deaths. And in general, on a countrywide basis, we're still seeing that. But there are some areas, counties and regions, particularly in the northeast and here in Washington, D.C., where we are seeing a turnaround and an uptick in cases." And like clockwork, it's coming.

Join David, Nita, and Burt as they review President Biden's new federal vaccination requirements and the latest developments in the legal battles surrounding vaccine mandates. The discussion explores how the new requirements affect federal contractors working at federal sites as well as the many complications and challenges contractors face in responding to the new requirements. Such issues as the duty to bargain with unions, the compensability of the time spent by employees securing vaccinations or alternative testing, and the workforce challenges posed by the tight labor market and employee resistance are all discussed. The team also discusses the varying responses of major employers across the country as they confront the spreading COVID virus while struggling to reopen.
Part 44 of the David Pawson 'Unlocking the Bible' Podcast series In this 3rd talk in the series on Ezekiel, David Pawson deals with the later messages the prophet had for his people in exile in Babylon. God assures them their enemies will be punished. David tells how amazingly some of Ezekiel's prophecies came true. God says that when his predictions come true, “then they will know that I am the Lord.” After having to tell them earlier that Jerusalem was going to be destroyed, now he is able to deliver the good news that they will be going home. Some prophets, priests and kings had been bad shepherds but now God says he will be the Good Shepherd of both Ephraim and Judah. Some of Ezekiel's predictions are about end times and have not yet been fulfilled. He mentions Gog and Magog and these two names can be found in Revelation as well. David says that some of the prophecies are dated and need to be fitted into the history, whereas others are timeless. One of his later messages assures the exiles about the restoration of the temple and this would have given them hope. David says that God will never allow his people Israel - or his church - to disappear. [David mentions a book he has written titled The Fourth Wave; this has since been renamed Word and Spirit Together.]
