The Bermuda Triangle is one of the biggest mysteries in the world. This region, shaped in the form of a triangle, is situated in the North Atlantic Ocean between Miami, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda. More than 150 planes, cargo ships, and smaller vessels have met their demise in this cursed area. Even with modern technology and communication systems, vessels still keep vanishing. The latest discovery may shed a different light on the eternal enigma. #bermudatriangle #brightside TIMESTAMPS: The most recent accident 1:45 The methane gas theory 5:12 Wormholes theory 5:44 Waterspouts theory 6:06 A hole in the electromagnetic forces of the planet 6:27 The human error theory 6:47 The alien theory 7:11 Enormous rogue waves 7:49 Holes in the sea 10:05 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... SUMMARY: The most recent accident was also the most disastrous for the last 30 years, and it happened on October 1, 2015. That day, the huge cargo ship SS El Faro went missing in the area of the Bermuda Triangle. The search continued for weeks, and SS El Faro was finally spotted. It was positioned upright and in one piece at a depth of 15,000 ft in the Atlantic. The search party found no trace of the crew. Some researchers believe that ships and planes crash and disappear in the area due to methane gas. And it has indeed been proved that there are massive stores of this gas in some areas of the ocean floor. Therefore, when gas is released into the water, the process can sink ships and make planes crash. The wormholes theory is preferred by those who love sci-fi. In short, a wormhole is a space-time shortcut. While the existence of wormholes hasn't been proven yet, this doesn't stop some people from believing that this phenomenon is what causes vanishings in the Bermuda Triangle. Waterspouts (more simply, tornados at sea) are said to have been spotted in the Bermuda Triangle. This weather phenomenon sucks water many feet up into the air. Potentially, this can make a ship disappear with eerie ease. Compasses are reported to malfunction in the Bermuda Triangle. This place is one of the few on Earth where compasses have problems pointing north. This can lead to sailors and pilots going off their course. The human error theory sounds rather disappointing for those who love mysteries! However, some people are sure that all the crashes and disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle happen due to people's mistakes. There are too many confusing islands that are hard to distinguish from one another as well as the difficult weather condition. No mystery can exist without an explanation of alien interference. It's just too convenient to blame disappearances on extraterrestrial forces. Though why aliens would choose exactly this area for their abductions remains unknown. The most recent findings of scientists allow them to claim that the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle has finally been solved. The culprits are huge sea monsters! But when we say “monsters,” we do not mean living creatures. They are enormous rogue waves that were believed to be a myth. Rogue waves are terrifying and anomalous. They are massive walls of water that move across the ocean. Rogue waves can have a force of 9 metric tons per square foot. To compare, the average 40-ft-high wave has a force of only 0.5 metric tons per square foot. National Geographic reports that “Animal rain” is a real weather phenomenon that happens when small animals get swept up in waterspouts or updrafts, and then fall to Earth with raindrops. Reported rains of bats, fish, snakes, birds, frogs, and jellies stretch back for centuries. The phenomena most associated with animal rain are waterspouts, although many meteorologists are skeptical that waterspouts can actually cause animal rain. Waterspouts form as violent storm clouds swirl above a large body of water. These clouds form a tornado-like whirlwind that dips into the ocean, lake, or pond. Waterspouts can spin up to 100 miles per hour, and may pull up small objects in their funnel—water, pebbles, and small aquatic animals. A waterspout is not a swirling column of water—the water in a waterspout is the result of condensation, not liquid "sucked up" from a body of water. Strong updrafts may also pull animals into their swirling vortices. Updrafts can sweep up much larger animals than waterspouts—traveling birds and bats, as well as frogs, snakes, and insects. As waterspouts and updrafts move over land, they lose their swirling energy. The storm clouds that formed the waterspouts are forced to dump their heavy loads. The heaviest objects are dumped first, and the lightest objects usually simple raindrops are dumped last. This explains why reports of animal rain usually describe only one type of animal raining down. A cloud will dump all objects of a similar weight at the same time—fish heavy, followed by insects lighter, followed by rain. On June 16 1939 in Towbridge, England, such a rain occurred with reports that hundreds of tiny frogs fell before a heavy shower. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Waterspouts were spotted tearing through the waves near Napier, as large thunderstorms descended on Wednesday afternoon. They're certainly impressive to look at, but what is a waterspout? NIWA's Chris Brandolino spoke to Corin Dann.

Back in June of 1987, almost forty years ago, in case you weren't feeling old already, a fellow by the name of Terrance Trent D'Arby released his first solo album, which he then described as "the most important album since Sgt Peppers." He was of course, over exaggerating, but on purpose because he wanted to make a point. Then he died and to this day nobody really understands whatever point he was trying to make. We aren't likely to figure it out because, as he said, "Sometimes you just have to hit people over the head with it." This helps explain why Robert Kraft got away with going to a Massage Parlor, as as we now refer to them, a "Spa." Digital rights are all the rage right now, for pretty much anything you can convince a fool to buy. And in the weather, Waterspouts are attacking the Coast of Washington State. It's all a great big ball of What the Frock????

Download PDF Welcome to Larisa English Club #28 What’s in The News? Tornado, Twister or Whirlwind? Speaking Practice. Rush Hour! Bus or Taxi? English Grammar. Compare Adjectives to Determiners! What’s in The News? Tornado, Twister or Whirlwind? A tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air that is in contact with both the surface of the Earth and a cumulonimbus cloud or, in rare cases, the base of a cumulus cloud. They are often referred to as twisters, whirlwinds or cyclones. The word cyclone is used in meteorology to name a weather system with a low-pressure area in the center around which winds blow counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern. Tornadoes come in many shapes and sizes. Most tornadoes have wind speeds less than 110 miles per hour, are about 250 feet across, and travel a few miles before dissipating. Various types of tornadoes include the multiple vortex tornado, land-spout and waterspout. Waterspouts are characterized by a spiraling funnel-shaped wind current, connecting to a large cumulus cloud. These spiraling columns of air frequently develop in tropical areas close to the equator, and are less common at high latitudes. Other tornado-like phenomena that exist in nature include the gust-nado, dust devil, fire whirls, and steam devil. Speaking Practice. Rush Hour! Bus or Taxi? Joyce: Should we take a taxi or a bus to the meeting? Bill: We’d better take a bus. It’s almost impossible to find a taxi during rush hour. Joyce: Isn’t that a bus stop over there? Bill: Yes… Oh, oh! There’s a bus now. We’ll have to run to catch it. Joyce: 0.K.… Oh, no! We just missed it. Bill: Never mind. There’ll be another one in ten minutes. Language Notes Should we…? = Do you think we should…? (Will is never used for this meaning.) Take a taxi or a bus…? = What form of transportation should we use? We’d better… = We ought to. It would be wise to… = A smart or intelligent idea. Rush hour = The time of day when most people are going to or from work. Isn’t that…? A negative question expresses an expectation of a positive answer. Bus stop. = A compound noun. Oh, oh! = An exclamation expressing alarm or sudden caution. Oh, no! = An exclamation expressing sudden disappointment, shock, or discouragement. Never mind! = It doesn’t matter or don’t concern yourself. English Grammar. Compare Adjectives to Determiners! Determiners are words that appear before a noun. This is to help understand what the noun refers to. The main idea is to understand determiners and the role they play in English. Remember that a word is just a word until we give it a job. There are many determiners in English. “A, an, the” are all determiners. “This, that, these, those” are all determiners. Quantifiers “Few, all etc”. Possessives “My, your, it’s etc”. Cardinal numbers as well. Do not confuse determiners with adjectives. There are many more rules on this subject! Ask your teacher for a further explanation and worksheets to help you better understand determiners. Learn more here https://larisaenglishclub.com/pdf-resources/larisa-english-club-28-pdf-version/

Whatever the confluence of unfortunate events that caused those on board the Mary Celeste to abandon her, one can surmise two possible final fates for them: either they perished in a maelstrom of sudden violence, or they died a languishing death of attrition. These two perils every sailor must acknowledge for the sea is a merciless mistress, but too cruel to imagine for the likes of a mother and child. If you wish to contemplate the mystery of the Mary Celeste, you would do well to remember the saying, the sea does not give up her secrets and as we've seen, she will often not part with her dead. Waterspouts have nothing to do with popular stories of frogs and fish falling from the sky.
