Samuel Knickerbocker and Fuel Your Legacy

Play Episode Listen Later May 2, 2020 66:19

Samuel specializes in 21st-century financial strategies focused on helping establish a legacy of meaning. Growing up his life was full of hand me down clothes, toys, and shoes that were worn out two kids before I got them. Even worse were the beliefs and habits about money my parents passed down. By age 21 he was making more income than his dad and he was broke while he was providing for a family of 11. Samuel knew that he was missing something and needed to figure it out quickly. None of the “experts” teach the difference in the mindsets and habits of poverty vs. Legacy, they ignored the causes of poverty and focused on how to survive it. He has gathered the foundational financial habits, mindsets, and behaviors to legacy building then uniquely coded them into tested processes and systems to establish a solid foundation for anyone to build their legacy on. His passion is to empower high achieving men and women with the financial foundation essential to maximize fulfillment in their life and create their legacy. He is the host of the Fuel Your Legacy Podcast where he teaches the foundational habits, mindsets, and behaviors essential to create a legacy that lasts. Samuel Knickerbocker is a Legacy Strategist with Fuel Your Legacy, the company that is redefining what legacy means and how one is built. Your legacy is not about the money that you earn in your life but rather the impact that you can create with the wealth that you receive. Samuel knows what can happen when you make more money than you ever imagined without having a plan and focus on how to make it work for you. Most people start the conversation of what to do with their money too late and on the wrong foundation. Fuel Your Legacy is focused on ensuring that you are building a life and legacy that is founded on your core values and what brings you fulfillment. Jan Hogrewe: Just Jan's, Making Your Dreams A Reality

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 22, 2020 43:27

Today's creator featured on the show is Jan Hogrewe, the founder of Just Jan's. Just Jan's is a gourmet food line - specializing in fruit spreads and an award-winning hot sauce. They combine passion, care and high-quality ingredients to craft foods that take you home. Jan Hogrewe initially started Just Jan’s out of her kitchen while working full time in the entertainment industry, Warner Brothers among the few. Making fig spread was a hobby and outlet at a difficult time in her life. She had no idea it would become a business. If we look back even further, in a lot of ways Just Jan’s started when she was growing up. Her mom was a bit of an entertainer but not much of a baker, so whenever she hosted parties she asked Jan to bake. That was her first exposure to baking and having people enjoy her food. They had fruit trees in their backyard and those fruits that she grew up around became some of the first Just Jan’s flavors. It was when she met a stranger who happened to be in the food business that tasted her fig spread and asked the question that changed her life: “I like your jam better than what’s on the market. Would you ever consider doing this for a living?” This sparked the creative juices she hadn't felt in years and she said "yes". She hired him to consult and went on a fact-finding journey asking people in the industry a million and one questions, started working on other fruit flavors, bringing her creations to friends, giving her daughters pb&j's with her latest recipe for feedback and so on. It was about 8 months into Jan's research that she met the buyer of non-perishables for a major nationwide chain that said when she was ready, she would launch her products in 300 stores. GAME CHANGER! It took Jan's about a year to find a co-packer who could make her recipes just like hers and when she did - she kept her promise and Just Jan's was on the shelves. Simultaneously it went into a couple of friends establishments and the Queen Mary's Tea Room. 18 months in and Jan was asked to make Williams Sonoma's curds for them. The Just Jan's name has a spot on their label and Jan was honored to call them a partner. Jan has been creating for them ever since. About 2 years in her friend (and taste tester) Kris decided he'd like to join her on this journey and they have been working together ever since. They are coming up on their 8 year anniversary from the initial launch date in May. Kris Reid and How SEO's can Boost Your Sales and Income

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 17, 2020 41:57

What in the world is SEO? Well, in a nutshell, it's search engine optimization and how almost every search engine functions. So let me break it down one more time for the layman. When someone logs into Google and they begin a search, Google gives suggested items based on what you are typing and when someone searches your business name (ie Anything Goes Project) it should be on the first page and most definitely you want in at the top.  Sadly, that is not the case for many people's websites but there is a solution. The reason you want your info on page one and at a minimum, number three in the search is because rarely do people hit page two. They almost always click the first item on the page. This is exactly what you want if someone was searching for Homemade Soap or Handmade purse's.  Now you could try and figure out all these Keywords, Tags, and Optimization or you could get a team that has already figured it all out. That's were Kris Reid and his Team at Ardor come in. Kris Reid is a country boy from Brisbane, Australia and he studied Software engineering at the Queensland University of Technology. He has traveled the world and lived in 10 countries. Kris wanted to learn web designing so he started building an online game called Mob Warrior. As the game became ready, Kris thought "How do you get people to visit your website to play the game?" This began his journey to start learning Digital Marketing, particularly, Search Engine Optimization and backlinks. He soon found out that he could make money using what he learned and digital marketing. Years later, Kris is a worldwide name in Digital Marketing, specializing in Search Engine Optimization. He is the Leader of Ardor with offices in Davao, Philippines, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Vietnam and has a global remote team of Digital Experts ready to help you get the results you want for your website and business. As we all know, most entrepreneurs struggle to get more customers and most podcasters struggle to get more listeners. In fact, most businesses go out of business, not because their products and services aren’t great, and certainly not because the entrepreneur isn’t working their butt off! They go out of business because they can’t get enough customers! And Inversely most podcasters stop podcasting because they get discouraged because no one is listening. What applies to a business selling products or services, applies equally for a podcast or youtube channel. So How do you get more customers? How do you get more listeners? They have (Ardor) developed a simple system to get your message directly in front of your ideal customers and grow your business! It’s pretty simple. Where does anyone look for new products or services these days? Not on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram. People search for new products and services on Google! They simply work out what your potential customers are searching for on Google. Next, they determine what needs to change on your website - title tags, descriptions, content, etc. to show Google you’re the perfect solution to that person’s problem. And then, they put your website right in front of where they are looking, on the front page of Google Search Then, it’s just a matter of inviting the visitor to take action and become a customer. Simple, but not easy! Now I want to invite you to take action and change your business forever Simply by clicking the link below and let Kris and his Team show you how their system works and how it can grow your business. Imagine having a constant, reliable stream of new visitors to your website. Predictable revenue steam that you can count on. https://ardorseo.com/agp  You can also visit Ardor on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/ArdorMediaFactory And find Kris here: https://www.facebook.com/Reidymeister Thanks for taking the time to watch and listen to the program. After successfully building her business over the last twenty-plus years, Marcia Moran thought she had life by the tail. Little did she know what was in store. Marcia has written over fifty business plans and helped entrepreneurs strategize over how to differentiate their companies in changing environments. After helping other entrepreneurs start their companies, she decided to found her own business consulting practice, Performance Architect, in 2012 and co-founded Positive Business DC that same year. She suffered a major stroke in 2014. Marcia applied her skills in planning and strategy as she strived to become a whole. She never gave up. Over time she learned to walk again, but Marcia struggled with aphasia, a language disorder. She joined Toastmasters International® hoping to regain her speaking abilities. It helped some, but in August 2017 she discovered a technological breakthrough that minimized her speaking disability. She then pushed beyond her comfort zone to become a Toastmasters International Club Officer in 2017, then Area Director in 2019. Marcia created Stroke FORWARD because she felt there is a need to share hope to stroke survivors and their caretakers. Learning to become her own health advocate one step a time and exploring holistic methods for healing are keys to her recovery. Marcia speaks and shares her message of hope, inspiration, healing, and a way forward as she goes across the country. She welcomes new opportunities to help individuals affected by major health crises to move ahead. Marcia lives with her husband Jim, two very loud cats, and two birds near Washington, DC. Jim played the role of caretaker and advocate. His observations and experiences are also captured in Stroke FORWARD. "I had a stroke on March 30, 2014. I thought I would be back to my old self by my first anniversary. I wasn’t. So, I thought, I will surely be back to myself by my second anniversary. Nope. Nor my third. That’s the time I realized that I would never be the same as I was before. I kept trying though, because I wanted to recover as much as possible." "In the mean time, I wrote a book about my recovery called Stroke FORWARD: How to Become Your Own Healthcare Advocate . . . One Step at a Time. " "Had I ever thought of publishing a book? Not really. But after having to learn to walk again, talk again, and write again, I needed to give hope to other people like me who gave up when it seemed that recovery is too hard. It is tough. Among other things, I had aphasia (a speaking disorder). If the symptoms aren't addressed by the second or third month after a stroke, the National Aphasia Association says that people will likely have it for life. Three-and-a-half years post-stroke, I found a doctor that would give me a way to speak normally again." "What I have learned from my whole experience? Don’t. Give. Up. Ever." Marcia Moran... So you want to start a YouTube Channel? Wondering where to begin and where to start? Well, have a look at this video. We are a small video channel that has really just started. I also host a podcast called Anything Goes Project. That was my primary focus for quite some time until my listeners ask me to ramp up the video channel. So I did. Prior to this, Youtube has been mainly my dumping ground for guest interviews. Interview, Shoot, Record, minimal editing and post. It was so my listeners could see my guests. I spent several months talking to video creators and video influencers, read tons of literature, bought books on the subject to get me prepared for this new improvement on Youtube. One book that was very helpful was YouTube Secrets by Sean Cannell at the Video Influencers (@seancannell). This audio is from that video and is a small breakdown to encourage you, the listener, that it is not too late to get started on YouTube and have a blast doing it. I've put my contact info throughout this video is you wish to join my community and learn the process too. Basically, If I Can Do It, So Can YOU... Thanks for Listening. Ashley Brinton: New Single, Wednesday Thought

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 23, 2019 46:47

Ashley Brinton, who creates under the nickname-turned-moniker Aye B, is an 18-year-old singer multifaceted recording artist, melodic rapper/vocalist, and entertainer. Hailing from Miami and now based in Los Angeles, A Bye has spent the better part of the last decade finding her voice, experimenting with her artistic direction and developing a rock-solid foundation that only unrelenting determination can yield. While previously having spent years dedicated to exploring modern pop soundscapes, a time period that helped strengthen her voice and garner key relationships with new collaborators, Aye B ultimately realized her self-expression became that much more amplified and electric when working in a hip-hop-leaning space. Unwilling to compromise her individuality, Aye B decided to shelve the music she had previously recorded as Ashley Brinton, allowing herself to reveal a more authentic version of herself to her rapidly evolving fanbase. With no shortage of inspiration surrounding her, Aye B began experimenting with different vocal stylings and drawing from genres such as Latin trap, hip-hop and electronic to hone her distinctive sound. As exemplified through her 2018 singles, "Trouble," which debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard Dance Chart and "Say The Word," such a progression away from pop was a natural one. With her 2019 track "Good Mawnin'," Aye B makes an empowering reintroduction, indisputably thriving in the intersection of rhythmic vocal delivery and roaring trap instrumentals. In July 2019, she made an appearance on Bravo TV's Below Deck Mediterranean, with the episode doubling as the behind-the-scenes making of the track’s accompanying music video. With gratitude and genuine enthusiasm, Aye B can currently be found polishing her latest music and perfecting her live show, all while pursuing her marketing and business degree as a student enrolled online at North Eastern. https://instagram.com/ashleybrinton?igshid=mj60c21nod14 https://open.spotify.com/album/6GHrqLFaNWP41EaZQv7UEX Thanks for Listening. Kaylee has been on a hell of a journey, feeling like she's lived 30 different lives. She moved out on her own at 17 to chase some dreams. She grew up in Michigan, parents divorced when she was young. She has 2 older sisters, 2 younger sisters, and two younger brothers.. She took a large role in their upbringing. She was always a little timid in school, especially when meeting new people.. but once she opened up, she was very vocal. She still found myself like most teenagers insecure and a tad unsure. She graduated with honors from three rivers high school, attended western Michigan university to study psychology. While working a summer in Missouri at the lake of the Ozarks she joined an acting and modeling school. It really opened her up, bringing her out of her shell. She moved to St Louis and attended a community college while studying acting and modeling. After some encouraging words from an instructor, she decided to move to LA. Brian Cardoza: Survival and Art

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 26, 2019 61:25

Today's guest is Brian Cardoza. "We become a Superhero", writes adult Brian Cardoza in a letter to his 6-year-old self.  "We are mighty little one. And we are brave." Brian suffered repeated sexual assault and physical abuse as a child. He left home at the age of fifteen, nearly freezing to death the first night on his own. Brian knows the trauma and despair victims must overcome to survive. He not only chose to survive, but he also chose to give voice to an unspeakable topic and to challenge the stigma and shame often associated with male survivors of abuse. Now an inspirational speaker, author, and artist, Brian's message is one of responsibility and hope, and he works diligently to raise awareness and money to fight against childhood sexual assault and physical abuse. A believer in the potential to change, Brian's motto, "Don't let this moment dictate the next moment" is familiar to many he inspires. Brian and his story are featured in a number of national and international projects including a documentary for the EU, Forced, Promise Place's documentary Ripple Effects, The BristleCone Project, and Huffington Post's HuffPost Live segment for Child Abuse Awareness Month. He has been a contributing poet for Purple Sparks and a keynote speaker for a multitude of events highlighting abuse. And he's a certified OVC TTAC Consultant and RAINN Speaker. Brian's love for art began withdrawing as a child. He experimented with different mediums from charcoal to stone sculpting. Stopping for a number of years to focus on culinary endeavors, Brian picked art back up at a time when he felt most alone. Today, Brian's art takes various forms including magnificently colored refurbished bicycles that he donates to children. He's passionate about learning new techniques and styles and the creative process continues to heal the child within. Brian founded The Broken Knee Club, a non-profit organization created to provide a safe haven for all sexes to comfortably speak out about their experience of childhood and adult sexual assault. In collaboration with others, Brian is building Survivor Knights, a community healing through creative expression. Survivor Knights' exhibits highlight the enormity of the journey from trauma to healing through dark and bright works of art. Brian's words of encouragement to survivors, "Your darkest moments may be the light for another." Thanks for Listening. Please hit the subscribe button, tell a friend, or give us a rating. He coaches people towards their most abundant and fulfilled lives ever through mind and body transformation. His bio: I was severely bullied as a kid, specifically after my father had a job transfer out to the suburbs of Detroit. Instead of crawling in a corner and being poked with sticks, I put myself through the transformation of a lifetime not only building the physique I always desired, but am now the successor to the lineage of the martial art that I have been studying for 20+ years. I've had many challenges along the way and even overcame an alcohol addiction after a failed relationship left me completely broken. Through all I've been through and overcome, I can much easier empathize and relate to my client's struggles that got them to this point (be it obesity or depression) and create a simple, sustainable, and effective way to help guide them toward their best lives they could have ever imagined. www.transformwitht.com/fatburningfuel instagram.com/tfit914facebook.com/tw.durfyhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/t-w-durfy-cpt-lmt-a30ab965/ Thanks for Listening. Scott Colby: Say It With Gratitude

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 24, 2019 81:09

Gratitude can change things for you for the better, whether you're going through something personally or are struggling to connect and building relationships professionally. In The Summer Of 2014, Scott Colby took a trip to Guatemala to help build schools with Hug It Forward that would change his life forever. During his time in Guatemala, he became close with both the students and parents of the students and was shocked by their overall positive demeanor. Each family came from a place of struggle, having little access to clean water, not much food, and living in small run-down single room homes. However, their attitude towards life seemed to emphasize gratitude and graciousness and lacked the common negativity or "grass is always greener" mindset that we see here in America. They didn't seem to care about material possessions (no iPhones or TV!); they were content with what they had and thrilled with their new school. That trip to Guatemala left Scott feeling conflicted upon his return to Colorado. He couldn't understand why the kids and parents in Guatemala seemed so happy, despite having so little, and yet a large percentage of people here in America struggle to feel even slightly content on a daily basis. www.sayitwithgratitude.comfacebook.com/sayitwithgratitudeinstagram.com/sayitwithgratitude Thanks for watching. Becky Schelinga: Mindset and Awareness

She is a mindset and self-awareness coach. She helps female entrepreneurs adopt a more growth-oriented mindset so that they can overcome the negative thoughts and beliefs that hold them back from their next level of growth. This allows them to then grow and scale their business with confidence and a sense of empowerment. Her Story: "I myself struggled with extremely severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I lived mostly all of my life feeling hopeless and worthless. I spent a long time alienating myself, self-medicating, and putting myself in high-risk situations because I saw little to no value in myself. I reached a pivotal point when I attempted to take my own life. Through this action, I realized how precious life is and how much I wanted to live. I knew I wanted to find answers and meaning so that I could drastically improve my life, and live it to the fullest. I found these answers and meaning by focusing on my mindset and changing my thought patterns, as well as realizing how important these things were in creating my reality. I overcame my depression, anxiety, and PTSD by doing this work. I also became a completely different person and have a much healthier relationship with myself. I built my business because I wanted to share my messages and teach my lessons learned to help empower other women in their own lives." www.facebook.com/rebecca.scheliga.5www.instagram.com/rebeccascheligawww.pinterest.com/complimentalry Thanks for listening.
